I'm lucky enough to have one of the warehouses 20 minutes away from me so if its in stock there I can do customer pickup and save shipping costs. Shipping on an 8 foot piece of steel can almost double the price. My last order was placed mid morning got my conformation email for pick same afternoon. Great service guys and thanks.
Experience in order process and shipping was good. Still extremely unhappy with cost of freight that exceeded by far the actual cost of shipment. I actually need more of the same item previously ordered but am seeking local or alternative sources due to the shipping cost. May order from Alibaba or Aliexpress if not local.
Online Metals is always easy to order from but this time had a glitch. Online Metals took care of the problem immediately after being notified and my order was filed and shipped as if no glitch happened. Great job folks.

I have been hotrodding cars for over 30 years, mostly pre-war street rods. My '37 and '38 Chevys required a lot of fabrication to install all the modern touches. Projects like these require materials not ordinarily available from the local hardware store. This is where OnlineMetals saves the day.
OnlineMetals makes a wide variety of metals in various sizes and alloys available in the smaller quantities that I typically require. It's nice not to have minimum purchase quantity requirements too - Thank You!

Worked with your team to get the shipment broken down to allow for it to be shipped via UPS vs. Truck.
Only issue was that it arrived without a Packing Slip.

So far, all my experiences with Online Metals have been positive. This particular order took a day longer than expected, but from what I read, the mill was in the process of working with that very gauge.

I order from OnlineMetals when I need material fairly quickly and the order is not too large. If either of these is not the case I order from Midwest Steel and Aluminum. If schedule is key, I order from McMaster. Online is sort of in the middle. I have never had a problem with material from Online and will continue to order from them as appropriate.

While I only do a small amount of metal work as part of my hobby of classic motorcycle recommissioning, I appreciate being able to buy small quantities of the metals required as and when I need them. Not being an experienced metal buyer, it is very helpful to have a functional web site that allows me to study and analyze the metals available. We still wanted to service our Seattle area customers, so we opted for a Seattle will call location so we could still service you guys!

It was funny you sent me a survey request about 10 minutes after sending me an alert that the delivery was going to be delayed. LOL, not the best timing on that. I wasn't in any hurry so not really an issue for me that it was delayed.

A big thanks to Online Metals. I ordered a piece of expanded metal for my BBQ pit. When I received it the diamond shaped was cut the opposite way. The diamonds were cut vertical instead of horizontal as needed on my pit. Meaning the edges would need to be reinforced to hold much weight and not sag.
I sent an email to customer service. They replied back very quickly and let me know they were sending a new piece to correct the issue. The new piece arrived the next day in plenty of time for a weekend BBQ.
For any future metal needs I will definitely order from Online Metals.
