I'm lucky enough to have one of the warehouses 20 minutes away from me so if its in stock there I can do customer pickup and save shipping costs. Shipping on an 8 foot piece of steel can almost double the price. My last order was placed mid morning got my conformation email for pick same afternoon. Great service guys and thanks.
Experience in order process and shipping was good. Still extremely unhappy with cost of freight that exceeded by far the actual cost of shipment. I actually need more of the same item previously ordered but am seeking local or alternative sources due to the shipping cost. May order from Alibaba or Aliexpress if not local.
I purchased some SS sheet and the incorrect gauge was shipped. The gauge shipped was half the thickness of what I ordered. Upon contacting OnlineMetals, I was asked to provide documentation of the error. After receiving this documentation, it was immediately reshipped with the correct gauge stainless. Received correct shipment in about 3 days after making contact.

You have what I needed and shipped it promptly. I just wish that the shipping was not so expensive. The shipping is typically 50% of the purchase price.

Ordered a 2" round bar of 304 stainless for a project, and OnlineMetals.com had it ready for pickup faster than I could get there. Awesome experience and great looking stock!

I needed more of this to complete my project. The order was delivered on schedule. The only comment I have is the $3.50 bar cost but it cost $17 to deliver.

We ordered on a Thursday and it was here on monday. We are closed on Fridays, but we have had some orders the next day with Ground shipping!

Shipments previously arrived at my location very quickly from when I placed the order (typically one day). Since you have opened your Portland location, delivery has slowed.

The material was shown as in stock and was purchased with next-day air shipping. It was not in stock and took weeks to get a modified version of the material. Very poor communication on this one.

I have found Online Metals to be a great source to quickly procure material for prototyping. I also use their website as a reference to see what sizes of material are commonly available.
