This website is NOT a scam, it is simply a different kind of online auction. The pay to bid style helps keeps the price of luxury items down. Like any auction, there is only one winner so it sometimes takes more than one try to win an item. This is probably why they list the same items multiple times. The facebook page shows videos of people who have won so I think that speaks for the legitimacy of the site. The company is based in California, all the items are brand new and guaranteed.
This site was nothing more than a HUGE SCAM. Several years ago I signed up to bid and won a $500 Bloomingdale's Gift Certificate, but trying to actually get them to send you what you have won is impossible. First, you must jump through all of their hoops. Then they tell you your item will arrive in approx. 15 days. When you never receive your item they use all kinds of stalling tactics and ultimately stop responding to emails. I filed a complaint with the FTC. Next thing I knew the website was closed down. Evidently, I was not the only one who filed a complaint.
The sad thing about this website is that it shows on page 1 of google in position 1-4 so obviously a lot of people would have been exposed to this scam. Shame... the concept was cool but strategy and execution... pants!

It is a scam. They showed you how people win auctions and paid so little. However when you actually bid with your money there will always be someone who is bidding against you and this person seems to have unlimited amount of money (bids). I believe most of the bidders are part of the company. They knew how much bids you have and what you put in bid assistant and they can always outbid you. I am mad at myself that I am so stupid to try. PLEASE DO NOT FALL INTO THE TRAP. If you think gambling is addictive and bad, this is worst. At least you have a 50% chance of winning when you gamble! They spray on your feeling of not wanting to lose and the fact that everyone loves a bargain. They are blood sucking vampires! Please stay away! It is an expensive lesson for me.

It has become extremely clear that this site is a scam and the auctions are rigged. Furthermore, all of the positive reviews of this site here (sitejabber) I believe have been posted by oohilove representatives in an attempt to legitimize their scam. Read everything thoroughly, and don't throw your money down the drain with this site.

This website is the only form of legal gambling and fraud that I am aware of. I am 100% convinced they are using their own bidders (or at least folks they have given hundreds of thousands of free "bids" to use) to build up the price of the item and literally steal money from consumers looking for a good deal. This site fleeced me of over $2000 and I have never felt more duped and naive that I had believed this was legit. When I tried to contact customer service there was none. This is a horrible site, product but hey, they are making themselves a fortune while abusing the consumer. I HATE OOHILOVE. Could that be any clearer?

Unless you have all day to sit in front of the computer and bid, do not bother. It gets worse, I kept going back to the site for 3 hours and then I was outbid by someone using their bid assistant program. I bid at the last second and was outbid by their bid service. Why bother, there is no fun in that and I got taken for a ride. I asked for the rest of my money back and they did give me a refund. Guess this happens all the time. Let your friends know.

I don't feel the site is a scam like the rest-sorry. I only lost $30 thankfully. They explain everything clearly. Watch the video. Sorry ladies-you can't get something for nothing. Read the fine print. Pay full price for the bag or just buy the fake. Someone very smart came up with the idea for the site ( in my opinion) and they are making millions. My only disappointment is that I didn't win, not that I signed up.

I have personally bid on items and I also feel it may be a scam. I have noticed the same LV bags over the past month. While I was certainly willing to pay a fair amount for these bags, I began to feel like a idiot after submitting bids along with many others and then began noticing
People dropping out one by one and it was just me and the automatic bidder. When I decided to stop, the automatic won the next bid. I have some bids left that I purchased and frankly, I'm not sure I will even use them. Good luck to you if you decide to bid with this site.

Oohilove has quit answering emails, stopped shipping merchandise, and stopped emailing out virtual gift cards. Real bad news. On March 26th they posted on their Blog "The End Of Oohilove" and then promptly took it down. All this in just the last 20 days. Looks like something is up at Oohilove...

This site had the opportunity to be brilliant.
Instead it is a royal scam.
How dare you allow bidding to occur in such an unprofessional manner that would put the gambling industry to shame.
Anyone with half a brain can translate 1 penny to one dollar and see that everything is 10 fold the cost. There must be a consumer watch group that will find out about this and shut you down as quickly as you scammed people.
This is perhaps the biggest bull$#*! site i have every been on. Refer a friend? Not on your lame website, or life.

I purchased a 50 bid pack and had a coupon code for get 10 bids free. The auctions take forever because people keep bidding and that adds time to the end of the auction. So, I tried bid assistant. That is also annoying.
They give you "love dollars" for each bid that you can use at their "trunk show" There is nothing in their Trunk Show Section. At least the last time I checked. They also charge A LOT for shipping. It seems you can't win for losing on this site. Stick with ebay or a site I just found called yoogiscloset.com. It has designer co-sign stuff that is super cute!

Now this is an interesting concept. I really enjoyed my recent experience with oohilove.com. After bidding for the first time on a gucci shoulder bag i lost $20 but was happy to see the person who was bidding from so long won the bag for only $24.80. Iknow the site is making so much money but its their business and the main thing is, they are giving the top brands on such low prices, like the gucci bag won by that lucky person, costs around $1134 and look how much discount he got... i'll surely try again..

I joined oohilove and bought only 30 bids to try it. I decided to bid on a 50 bid pack and after reading the tips from the site I would use the bid assistant. At less than 5 min on the clock I started my bid assistant and ran out of bids in what felt like 5 seconds. I knew it was a scam after watching nonstop bidding well over the 49.99 it was worth. Who in their right mind would waste their bids to pay double the price! I'm thankful I only wasted $30.00 and a lesson learned. It's too bad because it could have been a fun site to save money on nice thing.

First of all, this is truly a "buyer beware" auction. This site does not guarantee anything or hide anything about the way the auctions work. For those chiming in about how people can bid endlessly (which would cost a great deal of paying. 99 per bid) but bid packs can often be bought for pennies on the dollar just like the merchandise being auctioned so the dollar cost average is much lower than it looks. I happened to get beautfiful LV bag for 1.51 with only one bid (yes, due to a lot of luck), but it does happen. If you can't afford to bid and lose, you should definitely stay away, but please don't try and ruin it for the rest of us who have figured out how to do it without breaking the bank. The website is not a scam but it is also not for the faint of heart because if you get carried away you can certainly feel ripped off if you don't win.

I believed it was not a scam so I purchased $100 worth of bids only to lose every time. That would have been fine had I been able to purchase other items with the rewards dollars I earned, but the web site closed before I could purchase anything at their trunk show. I emailed them to find out if new items would be coming to the trunk show since I wasn't thrilled with the options and they told me more would be coming very soon. Next thing I knew the website was shut down. Not happy.

People BE AWARE! You used to be able to "buy it now" if you lost money during bidding. Meaning if you lost $200 it would mean that if you used the "buy it now" option you would pay full retail + whatever additional costs oohilove taxed in but at least you could go away with something.
Before, they gave you the option to recoup your money generally on pricey purse auctions. Now it appears that option is no longer available it seems for LV purses - they are still offering the option for gucci and other brands. I would not recommend "playing" under those circumstances. It's way too risky.
What does it mean to be a "professional penny auction player"? It sounds like someone who buys things for cheaper prices" and resells items for profit on the internet. Please ALERT oohilove support about the player "gotlottoborn". If you read their guidelines, you guys will know that resellers are not allowed and their accounts will be disabled.

THis is an auction online. Yes, out of stupidity I tried this website and lost
100$. (my max) to try. And GUESS what? Within less than a week
When I check the site again, A notice showed up instead of the homepage
That says they are closing the business! Or they are closed!

After losing $30 to place 30 bids, i'm starting to wonder if the "bid assistant" is representative of real people. It's always the same 4-5 names bidding everything up. Funny thing is, they never win. They just have unlimited amounts of money to place unlimited bids. Hmmm...

I have visited number of auctions sites last days and never be impressed from them, as i found the oohilove also there and decide to visit it, As i never want to play anymore because i have already lost money on other auctions site so thatswhy not ready to take risk... But somehow me and my girl friend both of us purchased one bid pack from the site and called us the oohilove support for assistance as we didn't know how to play it, They really guide us well and finally start bidding on the web site. Might be we have a very good luck on last wednesday and we won the Tiffany Pendants for my girl friend. Just here to share my experience. It was really very nice. And waiting for my item as they promise us to deliver it within 2 or 3 week. When i will get it, will be back on site jabber and share my winning tiffany pendants with you all.

I'm a school teacher who would love an LV bag but can obviously not afford one on my salary thus, I became almost giddy when I saw this site. I now feel stupid, stupid, stupid! In retrospect, I think even my students would not have fallen for this SCAM. What was I thinking?! I had been in Vegas a few days before for a friend's wedding and did not gamble ONE CENT hating the idea of been throwing my money away! Ironic isn't it?

Thank You for all the reviews! I thought it was to good to be true! For all those very few who have won. Congrats. But there are so many, many, more who have lost! This site may be legal but it is not an auction site... it is a gambling site! Just call it what it is! Auctions may charge a small fee, but after watching this site you can really loose a lot of money. Better we give our money to some charity than just throw it away foolishly!

This is a total scam. I lost $25; it could've been worse. Don't do it. Don't be tempted by the apparently cheap prices. If you lose the bid, you lose your MONEY. Did you get that? You could only use the money you spent on that bid to purchase the item at retail price which means having to pay $800 for a Gucci bag (same price you pay at the Gucci store). DON'T DO IT.

Great site on where original price and the brands are so awesome and anyone can win them with so much margin in the prices on them, NOW thats amazing, bidding process is amazing. The information given by the site has so far been 100 percent accurate, and easy to navigate. Overall 4 stars to the site.

Where fashionistas can obtain authentic designer luxury at a fraction of retail. What's not to love?
