The staff are unprofessional, and dont know what they are doing. They tell you one thing and then do another and if you want to make any changes, its cheaper to buy a new ticked... May God help anyone using this company. I will never book through them again.

Misleading flight prices pull you in, credit card gets charged, and no tickets issued.
Fortunately I was not one of those who turned up at the airport to find out that there was not a reservation, I discovered this prior to my flight (supposed flight). Customer service is a total joke, trying to get through to them for an explanation of what was going on took about three hours on the phone. Eventually did get my money refunded but with absolutely no explanation of why I had been conned like this. Avoid this company at all costs. I cannot imagine just how name disappointed travellers there are out there who have fallen victim to this company. One star is one star too high.

Absolutely vile service. They booked one-way flight instead of two-ways, the second flight is still 'pending' - while I cannot cancel the outbound flight without 25 pounds cancellation fee! Plus an 18 pound 'service charge' which was NEVER mentioned on the flight price until you put in the card details. Disgusting and appalling. Never ever deal with these people if you can avoid it.

Booked through Opodo and a connecting flight has been cancelled.
There is no way to get through to them.
Calling to UK and waiting several times more than 30 minutes can be quite expensive, plus that all of the operators which have clear Indian accent are rude, useless as they tend to have a sudden drop of hearing loss.

Horrible customer service! Asked for a VAT invoice online at the time of buying the flight tickets, they sent me the wrong one. Now, I've been trying to get the correct VAT receipt for 2 weeks, applied for one on the website 4 times, got the confirmation email saying it's on its way, phoned them many times, spoke to supervisor, I was promised that it'd be sent in 30 mins, still waiting to receive it. Absolutely incompetent customer service reps promising the world but delivering very little in reality. Disappointed!

Do not use this company. I tried to book flights online through their German site on 15 Jan and the transactions twice fell over at the last stage, without me receiving any booking number. When I got my credit card statement I discovered they had run two sets of debits and credits through my account at a cost to me of NZ$40.74 (due to processing and currency conversions). When I contacted their customer service department they stated they had never made the transactions, in spite of the evidence, then blacklisted my IP number as spam so that I could not pursue the matter further. They have been reported to my bank for fraud.

Below is the email I got at the beginning of May from Opodo regarding the refund I was due to receive for a cancelled flight back in JANUARY! Still no refund.
If you have any sense at all, do not book a flight through Opodo. They are a complete waste of space...

They're a scam! Don't be tempted. You'll get their "free month" membership plan, but really, they charge you for the entire year in advance and refuse to refund upon cancellation. They will however cancel your membership - without a refund. Not worth it, big scam. Stay away.

I both a ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket. Everything went perfect until I was trying to check it at the airport. They sold me ticket for different flight. No possibility to make a claim. If there was below a zero, I would have done so. The reason I'm sharing this is first to warn anyone to buy through Opodo to think twice as it seems this one is just another Con and all they care about is money.
Customer service that if it exist is shameful and no care what so ever. Your calls will be answered in some room in India where I'm sure they slave humans and pay them as little as it could possibly be. Please avoid using it under any circumstances

Booked a flight and then unfortunately needed to change the flight for two days later. After four phone calls totalling 1 1/2 hours and just being left on hold with a promise of someone will talk to me, I just had to give up and stick to original date, even though I had paid for a flexible flight and cancellation insurance.
A shameful company! I would never use them again! I feel I was conned and there was nothing I could do about it, they had my money and you cant talk to anyone only listen to music and eventually get cut off. I have yet to find out if the phone calls were at a premium rate and that they made more money from me, by making me wait!

I will never ever use Opodo again. We purchased our family holiday package and paid an extra 10% amount to 'cancel for any reasons'. Opodo rescheduled our flight at the last minute to different dates. We tried to cancel. Opodo didn't let that happen either. Our full money got stuck. Zero communication. Very pathetic customer service. Opodo tried best to keep our money. But after 5 months of fight, we managed to receive our full amount back BUT only through filing a case via bank. Luckily we used credit card otherwise we would have lost all of our money.

I have been charged for the last two years £59.99 membership fee for Opodo prime without my authorization. Although we have purchased a flight ticket from them 3 years ago and entered the prime free membership trial. However we were not informed that the automatically membership fee of £59.99 applies for then onwards. I have tried to contact the company in anyway possible, but there is no phone or email address for their customer service. This is a daytime rubbery for the service we never used ever since. The information on their website is really poor too and the online virtual chat with "kris" is absolutely useless too.

Appalling customer service - informed us multiple times our flight (Budapest to UK) had been cancelled (so we booked with another carrier) only to find out it had not and opodo wanted nothing to do with it even though they openly admitted they made a mistake - they then told us to cancel our other flight and to date have refused to pay the cancellation fee. Still dealing with customer services who just do not want to know. They take your money but no ownership of the travel arrangements. Please avoid at all costs. Having checked their T&C your contract is not with them its with the carrier and they play no part (even if they tell you a flight has been cancelled, when it has not)

I don't know how a company like this survives in the age of open and instant data and communication. How it takes them 24 hours to tell you that your booking hasn't gone through, even though they know you're flying within the 24 hours, is astonishingly bad. One email, that's it. A carrier pigeon would have got the message to me quicker than they did (they didn't actually give me the message, I had to hound their call centre - if you need to do the same, strap in it's awful).

As soon as you enter your card details they will add on an extra cost. When i added my card details it jumper from £160 pp to £186 pp - so an extra £26 odd pp - even though it states you will only be charged approx £8 for using that type of card - absolute joke. I have used them plenty of times in the past and never had this issue so must be a relatively new trick they have started using. I of course did not notice that the amount jumped up 50 odd quid and booked it. Will NEVER use Opodo again.

I have been charged €75 for a prime membership subscription which I never agreed or signed for. Even after cancelling the subscription right after the credit card charges, they refuse to reimburse the swindled money.
Read their reviews, they speak volumes of what they do to every single customer that books any kind of service on their website. It's outrageous!

Again, a cancellation due to "possible fraudulent" payments and security concerns. Upon calling they cannot tell me exactly what their concerns are, but they definitely have them! All the flight prices have now increased by 20% and I am out of pocket. Technically they haven't done anything wrong... and this is covered in their terms and conditions... but even so, I won't be using them again, and I recommend that you don't either.

Took my money. Refusing to provide the refund. I booked my flight over a year and two months ago and been requesting a refund for 10 months.
The airline told me they had sent the refund to Opodo and Opodo keep saying the same thing "request you to wait we've contacted the airline". I have been onto them every week. They have no intention of giving a refund ever.

Would never use them again. One of the airlines they booked for me cancelled the flight. Opodo did not tell me but found out when tried to check in online. Called opodo - useless. After trying 3 times to contact - supposed problem with internet- eventually got on to co tact clearly somewhere in India who did not understand and kept saying I could not get refund as the flight could not be cancelled. When I eventually got him to understand that the airline cancelled he said I needed to call back next day. I explained I'd be in transit but again didn't understand. Eventually said I'd get email and money back. A week later - nothing. They are fine at taking your money but no help at all when things go wrong so what is the point in using them?

Terrible customer service, including the floor manager. They cut your calls, plus a long waiting time. I paid 865 pounds for a flight and in light of emergency, they wanted to charge me 1400 pounds to change outbound flight. Never again Opodo! Worst.

When changing flights we are required to follow the fare rules set by the airline which often include penalties for changing flights and fare difference, which can be high if last minute. Booked flights and return leg was cancelled in May 2022. My Opodo booking status is 'refunded' but I haven't been refunded and am still pursuing £600+ in flight costs. Next step is small claims court, HQ is in Hammersmith London, although parent company eDreams HQ is in Spain.
UPDATE from Opodo: 'Regarding your query, please check your email (and spam folder) as we opened a case with further information'. No you didn't Opodo - there is no email, update to my case, or refund... just the exact same automated response everyone receives. Buyer Beware!

My flight was cancelled by airline on Monday 28th August 2023. Opodo are not interested in listening or assisting in anyway. If you send a complaint within minutes you get a standard rejection letter. In other words they don't even bother looking at your complaint and/or email. I never cancelled my flight, the airline did. The airline said im entitled to my refund, but Opodo don't even want to listen.
Don't ever book with them. Disgusting, dismal, terrible service

Took a whole year to get a refund for a cancelled flight. Tried to tell us that because only the inbound flight was cancelled they would not refund the outward bound flight although there was no way to get home. ( Go figure)
Absolutely shocking service pass you from pillar to post and try to confuse issues.
Opodo received fill refund from airline within two weeks but then took them a whole year to refund us.
Don't waste your money it is not worth it. Not sure how they are still trading or why large airlines deal with these people as surely it's damaging for them to be associated with this poor excuse of a business who scam and rip people off.
