Like many of the reviewers on here, I booked two flights and received a booking confirmation e-mail.
I phoned Opodo up to find out how my booking was doing and that told me that it had been cancelled due to RyanAir increasing the fare in between my booking and their ticket confirmation. This was after the initial response saying that there was a problem with my card. I aske if it was possible to rebook the seats. "Oh yes" they replied, "that'll be an extra hundred and odd pounds"
I stated that they had taken the full amount from my bank account so there fore the transaction had been completed. I likened it to me buying a jumper from a store, paying for it and on the way out the doorman asking me for an extra tenner.
After some complete rubbish from the indian guy on the other end of the phone (ANKIT is his name) he stated that my money had been refunded. At this point I was looking at my account on-line. No sign of the refund. Although for some reason they had taken £7:49 out of my account twice and refunded it twice. Then the full cost of the tickets. No refund. It was Bank Holiday weekend here so I can't check with the bank until Tuesday after the holiday.
I asked to speak to a manager and was put on Hold by ANKIT for around twenty minutes at 10p per minute and eventually spoke to another guy who knew nothing about it. Ankit had obviously just put me on hold and left it at that.
The new bloke wanted me to go through the same thing all over again and delayed the conversation (at 10 p per minute). I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and he refused. Then he just rattled off some rubbish about not being able to help.
I still haven't got my money back. OPODO are a complete set of lying thieving con men and I wouldn't use them to get to the supermarket, never mind another country.
AVOID OPODO AT ALL COSTS.

Booked my fligths with opodo, when I get to the counter I get notified b the airline that I have no tickets because there was a problem with the charge, Opodo charge my card and then they payed for my tickets with they business account and off course the charge didnt go through.
Even though I had no tickets and had to buy new ones at the moment of my flight for double the money, Opodo still had the balls to charge me.
I have already sent them 25 emails in total and made 3 calls to them.
After some time they refounded me for abour 15% of the charge, After I blasted them on all the review sites they finally reached out to me and told me I would get a full refund.
They had me send them all my bank information, after about 3 weeks, they sent the money and then immediately took withdraw it, So I got no refund and I actually got charged a comission from my bank for the transfer they ended up withdrawing.
I ended up with multiple charged on my account because of them, and of course since then they disappeared from the map and havent answered a single one of my emails.
DO NOT BOOK WITH OPODO, biggest mistake of my life

Long story short. Booked a flight with Opodo. Covid messed up my plans as UK gov decided to implement more travel restrictions. Called Opodo they said pay £50 and we can change the date for another time. I paid. Next day still no change notification from Opodo and my original flight was in 48 hours time. I called back. Lady said I must pay another £200 and that's why they haven't changed the flight.
Oh nice, so I must call Opodo to find out. Not they call me to tell me what's happening. Good customer service.
Lady then told me I can get a full refund of the booking and the extra £50 they scammed me of.
Fine, so I cancelled it for a full refund.
I waited 2 months. Called the airline directly saying how long will it take to authorise refund. Airline said 15 working days, then the agent can refund you.
Ya right!
I called Opodo, they said the opposite 'the airline has not authorised the refund and we are waiting for them to authorise'.
But when you call the airline they still stick to their 15 working days response. Which means Opodo is lying and have their own agenda with their refunds.
On top of that, they are impossible to get hold of. Which makes it even worse.
They don't reply to any of my emails either. I opened a resolver account to complain against them which didn't help. Resolver even said they will escalate it to the CEO Dana Dunne. Haha what a joke. As if the CEO gives a s***!.
So now I've had to escalate this on a legal basis because I have no other choice but too. Otherwise I could be waiting for this refund until 2025.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER. THEY ARE CROOKS AND GIVE 0 F's ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!

Let me start by saying that I'm totally disappointed with Opodo because:
1. My flight was officialy cancelled from Thursday and Opodo is wishing me today(Saturday), on the 'Manage booking' section "Congratulations, enjoy your trip"
2. I've requested a change of dates on my trip from Tuesday and on the app, at this very moment(Saturday), it's showing me that "the request is still processing", when my flight was suspened from Thursday.
3. Wizz Air emailed me twice to notify me about the cancellation. They told me to log on into my account and to choose a way to be refunded. When I logged on Wizz Air, they told me that if I booked my trip with an agency, the agency will act in my behalf. Now... I feel sorry that I didn't book this flight with Wizz Air directly because, by now, I would've had my refund.
I TRUSTED OPODO TO ACT IN MY BEHALF BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN CONTACT ME TO TELL ME MY FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED. EVEN MORE, THEY'RE WISHING ME TO ENJOY MY TRIP. I CAN'T ENJOY MY TRIP, BECAUSE IT WAS CANCELLED. YOU ARE A JOKE

Don't work with opodo. They are useless. For the ones who are curious I'm writing why. I bought a two way ticket from London to Istanbul.
First i tried to check in but the application and their website didn't allow me to do that so I should call them to make the check-in. I paid for the call.
After i came to İstanbul i decided to change my flight date, i called them but i need to wait about 1,5 hours total to make the change. Agents are too slow and not smart enough to handle a service like this. I spoke 3 different agents and at last one could make the changes.
Two days after because of some issues again I should change the flight date so I told them I'm calling abroud to uk and my call credits can finish and i asked them to call me back if the service will take too much time. But they say it won't take too much time and refuse my offer. I spent more then 1 hour on the telephone while im waiting for their job to done. But for tree times, they hold the telephone and after 30 mins waits I should close the telephone to make another call because I guess they forgot that im on the line!
My call credits finished because of this careless service so i tried chat. But this time an agent answered me first but then after 15 mins chat she said she will transfer me to an expert... Again i waited more then 45 mins but no one return.
So I wrote to their messenger chat, i'm still waiting an answer over 24mins.
When im calling the service they hold my call more then 5 mins to connect to an agent. Even its 3am.
This company is a kind of a mafia, i got in but I cannot going out.
At last i reached them from another mobile but this time they told me there is a technical problem in their system so I should wait 3 or 4 hours and call back again. I begged to the agent at last he is trying to solve this i hope but the line is again mute and I'm still waiting.
After 42 mins the agent told me the fair is not available so he can't make the changes. Haha! And when i said this is unbelievable, he shot the telephone on my face/
I have doubts that this company provides service in a coop!
Please don't work with them...

Bought a friend a flight home as he was in distress and OPODO took the opportunity to charge me with a membership I did't want / need or consent to.

Avoid Opodo at all costs, especially their Prime membership.
I am an Opodo Prime Member and booked 4 flights with BA through Opodo.
BA cancelled the outbound flight on the night we were due to travel and waiting in the airport so my party had to travel from Heathrow to Stansted and travel with Ryanair to reach our destination. More cost, more inconvenience.
I raised this with Opodo next day to get my refund who told me to contact BA. I contacted BA who told me to speak to Opodo.
I am due a refund which should legally take 7 days, I'm then told it will take 30 days, I'm then told it will take 8 weeks and I'm then told it will take 10 days. Go figure.
I have been told the refund has been requested but nobody can provide any evidence to this effect, all I have is an online chat and call agents telling me that is what they can see, but they can't tell me when it was requested, when it will be paid or how much the refund will be.
Effectively, this is all a scam as the airline keep your money for as long as possible and Opodo renege on doing the decent thing which is refund their customer (me) whilst they seek the refund from the airline. However, they can't do this as apparently Opodo don't know how much BA will give them back. In short, what you pay is not necessarily what you get back.
It's a pretty good scam.
I also discovered that since Brexit, Opodo moved their HQ to Spain so they are free to operate with much lower standards now that they are no longer a UK based/owned company. Wish me luck getting anything back at this rate.
Further to this, I have since booked other travel elsewhere due to my concerns with Opodo (once bitten twice shy) and I discovered that booking direct was much cheaper than the so called benefit of being with Opodo.
Therefore, the Prime membership is more like a set of shackles and its makes things harder for you to resolve matters when things invariably go wrong.
In short, look at the negative reviews on here for Opodo because I believe the majority of complaints are by decent people like me who paid a small amount for a premium service but actually got hoodwinked into a scam that not only leaves you out of pocket but also on your own when things take a turn for the worse.
Come on Opodo, just do the decent thing and give me my refund on my flights.
Tip for consumers:
Opodo are ethically bankrupt and waste time attempting to get reviews removed rather than resolving the actual issue (which is easier and less costly).

I booked tickets to India for myself and my partner. Unfortunately we were unable to go due to me breaking my ankle, so we decided to change our tickets and fly to Vietnam 4 months later. The first operator I spoke to said we needed to pay £100 per ticket for an Emirates charge for changing a booking and £25 Opodo charge, which we were fine with as this is something that had been discussed on a call with Emirates. The difference in price between our India ticket and Vietnam ticket was £16 and the operator then told us we needed to pay £546! It doesn't take a genius to work out that that doesn't add up, so I asked him to give me a breakdown, which he wouldn't do and just kept saying something about 'fare price'. I asked what this was an he just kept repeating '£546' and just kept telling me, 'that's what my computer says'. He then placed me on hold and the phone went dead! I called back to another operator and he confirmed that the previous operator had taken the £546 from my card, without authorisation! I was fuming as you can imagine. The operator said, 'we will refund you £33'. I haven't got a clue what he was on about and he proceeded to inform me that the previous operator had overcharged me. Even so, refunding £33 still meant that I was paying way too much for my new tickets. Both the first and second operators could not explain to me where they were conjuring up their amounts from and the first operator kept huffing and asking why I was confused! I then spoke to a third operator. This operator was more helpful and explained vaguely that I was being charged £100 from Emirates, £25 from Opodo and a fare price of £146.66 PER TICKET! I still don't fully know what this means and decided in the end not to change my flight as it was going to cost a stupid amount of money and I wasn't sure that they would even rebook my ticket correctly. READ REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING AND GO WITH A TRUSTED COMPANY!

Opodo Booking *******525 - I am still a totally dis-satisfied customer.
Opodo replied to my review on the day of our flight while we were on the way to the airport to say that "We inform you that we have checked your booking and we found that no baggage was added for your outbound flight during the booking process.
In this case, we advise you to contact the airline directly in order to add baggage to your booking.
Have a nice trip to Italy!"
They only seem to have replied because I posted my review and to make it seem that they were doing something, but the reply came too late to be of any use and even their reply added no value from Opodo as the booking agent for the flight. The "Have a nice trip to Italy!" comment did not seem appropriate either.
I know that I did not add any baggage to my outbound flight as it was already included in the cost of the flight and no baggage needed to be added (the above reply indicates that they didn't even know this and they should have). I paid Opodo extra to add baggage to the inbound flight from Naples which they did not confirm on the e: mail confirmation and that was why I was asking them to confirm that the baggage I paid extra for on the inbound flight had been added, and confirmation that the outbound baggage was included in the price. It seems reasonable to expect a flight booking agency to at least know what baggage is included in the amount paid for a flight and be able to confirm that baggage for which extra has been paid for to them has been confirmed with the airline. In fact, I had to check myself with both airlines prior to going to the airport to confirm what hold luggage had been booked by Opodo. I would have expected a booking agency such as Opodo to have been able to confirm this for me easily and, therefore, my dis-satisfaction remains and has been increased by the total inaccuracy of their reply.
My experience with Opodo continues to be one of extreme customer service failure, failure to respond to numerous queries about my flights and lack of concern by staff on the telephone in relation to baggage I had paid for as to whether they had booked this with the relevant airline. The company has just ignored my numerous contacts with it and replied at the13th hour when I posted my review with some inaccurate and unhelpful comments which valiantly missed the point and added to my dis-satisfaction.
I remain a totally dis-satisfied customer of Opodo.
From my own experience and what I can see of other people's experience with Opodo from their reviews I cannot see how this company's management can let it carry on in such an unprofessional way with so much lack of customer focus.

Ho impiegato ore a parlare con operatori incompetenti al telefono (ciascuno di loro mi metteva un'ora in attesa al telefono e poi concludeva che non riusciva a fare il cambio ma che il cambio era un mio diitto!), chatbox scandalosa. Per non parlare della presunta app con la quale millantano che l'utente possa effettuare il cambio da sé: la richiesta viene ignorata. Ogni operatore dispensa info diverse. Alla fine non hanno cambiato le date e ho perso il volo, nonostante abbia impiegato ore al telefono, inviato decine di email, solleciti e reclami e fossi garantita da una polizza di flessibiliá.
