Very bad experience with Opodo, 3 times in a row, they are increasing the basic price requested without my approval, finally I went back to the basic service that I booked, when I see the payment transaction, the price has been increased my more than 20% without my approval. I will never work anymore with this company.

I have had a terrible experience with Opodo. I booked flights to Italy with Easyjet and they slapped on a hidden charge of nearly £40 for using a Mastercard. £40! This was not indicated in any way at the checkout, there was no indication at all, and when I rang to get some clarity was told it was 'in the small print of the conditions'. What so they could have added any amount they like just because it is 'in the small print'. How dishonourable. I wouldn't have booked the flights with Opodo if I had realised their culture had changed so much. They should show a total that includes all the amounts. I find this deceptive and question its legality. I am so disappointed as have used Opodo for years and always found them terrific but I think they are clearly rotten now.
I am telling everyone about this. I travel a lot. Am appalled and a bit shocked.

This people booked my flight in a day where there's no flight. They're forcing me to fly on different date and airport. Now they want me to fly from another airport 200km away by adding $50. Ask for refund and they said they'll refund in 120 days. This people ruined my whole trip and vacation. Fraud guys...

Absolutely terrible and still unresolved.
This is the first and last time I ever use this company. Not only was the booking process the most painful I have ever encountered, when I finally managed to progress the booking they have over charged me by over £100 and are still yet to properly make contact with me to reimburse and resolve.
They claim that the prices changed at the last minute but did not give me the chance to stop my payment... and I never would have paid that much for flights for a two night trip. I consider this fraud and I will escalate.
I recommend that no one ever uses this company again, they are appalling.

I booked two flights. Both of them were cancelled. I had to fight for a refund. They kept my money for weeks (and I'm still waiting). And despite not taking any flights I booked, they charged me £80 for the privilege. I would love to know from opodo what I received for the £80? Absolute joke. I have spent three hours on the phone to attempt to get a refund and have been met with rude robots. No refund has arrived yet for tge flights. Never use this company.

Con company, be careful you don't click the wrong thing or they will sign you up for a £59.99 per annum service that you didn't ask for with no way of being refunded.
With regards to their service, they cancelled my flight to brazil, then offered me a replacement that would take 7 hours longer for the same cost.

Please be very careful of using Opodo to book any travel arrangements as they will take the money out of your account and will not provide you with the service that you have paid for. If you contact their call centre they will try to fob you off and will then cut off your call. If you try to complain online when you get to the end of the complaint form it will say that there is an error in your submission. I have checked with companies house and it seems that a majority of the directors have resigned within a short period of time, and that the company no longer operates from within the UK.

I email opodo to ask why I had been charged £8 contact fee just to talk to them other cost of call £1.60 for 19 mins. Received email saying my inquiry would passed on to the relevant depart, a few days later another email listing a customer service number to ring ( the same I was charged £8 connection fee) or to go to there web site and go to the we want to hear from you. My god how thick can you get what was the point of writing a email in the first place to customer service if they are asking you to contact customer service.

I made a flight booking yesterday and received an email saying I would have a confirmation email shortly... over 24 hours later I received an email confirming that the flight had not been booked as it was not available...
This was just 17 hours before I was due to fly home to my seriously ill father. I even emailed them yesterday after waiting several hours to say that I needed to know due to the urgency of needing to get home. The response was basically, wait.
If they don't have the flight available they should not be advertising it let alone keeping someone waiting over 24 hours to tell them this. Disgusted!

I booked a economy flight to Neapel a few weeks ago. According to the information provided during the booking as well the information PRESENT in my order/booking confirmation from Opodo, I was allowed to take a bag with some xxxx dimension per person on board.
Fast check by Condor(air carrier) later showed that the rules for the allowed package on board are quite different that provided by Opodo. I had to buy additional luggage just because I was mislead by Opodo what is allowed on board. I tried to contact Opodo - no way, they have no customer service at all, just a few phone numbers without answer or after 10 min waiting a guy from India answer and start to apologies for that and explaining that this is not related to his department. I opened a few cases, no answer, no any attention and care for the customers.
Opodo is absolutely no reliable and misleading platform. If you have luck - ok. If not - forget about your money

Sold us plane tickets for £2800 only to call us the next day and say for us to contact them by a phone number that doesn't work or have our tickets cancelled. Every number they have does not go through and now we are worried that the money charged to our account may not be refunded.

Paid for Opodo to book us in. Entered all the details on their web site as they offered a check in service. However, checked with Ryanair for the boarding cards, as Opodo say they will send the boarding cards 8 hours before the flight. They have failed to add my details to the checkin service that we paid for. I only found out this because I wanted to add some additional baggage from Ryanair. Do not use this company the support on the web chat is a joke, they just post the same message and don't answer the questions.

Opodo is a company which steals your money. I booked a ticket through them and gave me the booking reference with confirmation on the ticket. The next day I called the travel agency for the flight, they informed me that the ticket is cancelled. I didn't cancel the ticket at all. On Opodo website, it shows that the booking is confirmed, but on the original website of the flight, it shows there is no booking as it is cancelled.

I booked a flight for April, it was cancelled by the airline and Opodo STILL has not refunded me. They say they are waiting for the airline to refund them first and keep sending me some random screenshot from them. What a joke.
It is August tomorrow and I have no idea if I will ever see my money again. Please do not use these guys, they are really hard if not impossible to reach, they are not honest. I regret ever booking with Opodo and will definitely not book with them again, does not matter if their price is cheaper.

I have booked a flight for my wife through Opodo and got an email saying that the flight with BA was Confirmed, they even sent me the flight number. On the day of the flight at the airport, she got told that she was not on the flight. BA said that Opodo "reserved" the seat but then they have 24 hours to pay or the seat will go back to sale again. Looks like they "Forgot" to pay, but BA told my wife this is happening a lot with Opodo. Called costumer service and it was a waste of time, no one even apologised. Emailed them a few days ago but also, radio silence.
Would not recommend using them.

It's impossible to reach them over the phone. Tried 5 times each time 50 minutes wait and answered saying they have a teachnical problem and can't hear me so just hung up on me.
Staff can't even speak any English.

Do not trust Opodo! I was purchasing a ticket to Spain through Opodo. Until the very last stage in the booking and payment process, the final price I was to be charged with was written but when I gave my credit card data and purchased the ticket, an extra ~25% was charged from my card! So I contacted Opodo and explained the situation and they said that this has happened a couple of times before and that they would investigate the case and get back to me. However, even though I called them 3 times after that, they never got back to me with an explanation nor did they reimburse me. I will never purchase a ticket through Opodo again and I suggest that you do the same as the customer service is horrible!

I will never use Opodo again, at every opportunity they take excess money off you when Change booking particularly in these difficult COVID times. You are better off booking direct with the airline. Prime membership offers you no benefit and the Indian phone call staff have a script aimed at being very apologetic but intent in making life as difficult as possible. My on line management booking is inaccessible because it is stuck on a previous enquiry and not updated. The couple travelling with us requested a 26 December booking but got a 26th January booking meaning they were travelling back before they left. There is much more - never, never again. I will post this review elsewhere as well to ensure others don't get caught by Opodo's money grabbing policy

Despite them agreeing to refund me after I showed them this photo the money has still not been transferred after 6 weeks. My flight was scheduled for Saturday and worryingly I am still receiving emails from the airline and hotel...

I was promised on your website during the booking journey that I will be able to add baggage after checkout. Which didn't happen as no option and your chat agent said they cannot do, also airline do not allow you to. In addition the seats I booked costed 220 aed but were canceled by airline however you will refund me only 74 aed. Too much mess and broken promises. Not sure how you give such a bad first experience to customers. Now I need to pay for seats again, and book baggage separately. Don't use!

These were totally useless
These were totally useless. I was informed that i needed to go through my booking company to upgrade my seat. When i repeated this request around twenty-five times for the guy to understand what i was asking he stated that because the second flight was a short domestic flight it was unable to be upgraded, yet the long haul flight was what i wanted upgrading. He then said he unable to do this, even though the long haul flight had already told me they could upgrade me, but needed to come through the booking agent. Over one hour later, and my son trying to explain my requirement, i ended up with not getting any assistance to rectify this at all. Will ensure these are never my travel company again

Opodo have completely ignored my messages and when I have spoke several times to someone on the phone they have a complete lack of understanding the situation. I have tried to rebook my flight and when that has not worked I've requested a cancellation and refund... which they refuse to do! Also is the £326 that they took out of my account for no reason and now refuse to pay it back... what's with this company? A complete joke.

Don't book with these guys ever. Their website sells products that don't exist. I bought 2 tickets for adults over 12 for my 14 year old kids, but when my kids went to the airport they were refused entry to the flight as they were under 16.
After requesting my money back I was told that I should have read the fine print. Why did their website sell me the tickets. Do they not know what they are selling? That must be illegal!
From my dealings with them I can say with certainty that they are scum of the earth. It was impossible to get my 700 pounds back as the umburdesman does not cover agencies!
STAY AWAY - Book directly with the company. Don't use middlemen like OPODO!

Just before purchase button looked at flight details (no date), purchased, then received
Confirmation, wrong month!, I had no interest in any other month, yes you guested it! Had to pay extra, Dearer for july than Aug in The Algarve? Opodo ref stayed the same & so did the Ryanair Ref, I used a ladtop and found their site extra sensitive & not user friendly.
