Call customer service, they will answer but refuse to do anything for you or make any effort or accommodation. In my case, i ordered something that was in stock, then recieved an email that it was out of stock and backordered. Which was odd considering it was in stock with every other retailer as well as in stock with the manufacturer. I waited 5 weeks and called customer service to see what the deal is. All they could tell me is that it is out of stock and the manufacturer has given no date for when it will be in stock. Again...despite being in stock to date and through this entire month on the manufacturer's site and with literally everyone else! What a joke. When I asked if anyone could look into this...or you know...possibly give the manufacturer a call, I was told, in the most monotone voice imaginable, "sorry we don't do that". Very poor customer service. Ya'll should order from someone else who cares.
The item I ordered arrived broken. They sent it through UPS then transferred it to the USPS for delivery. The item was packed poorly and no sign of damage on the box. I contacted them and they want me to file a claim with the carrier. This is a crock. I will not order from them again. Poor customer service. They sent an email asking me to send pics to QaQc then sent another email to send 9 pics to logistics. They don't have a clue how to proceed. Good luck if you order from them.
I resently purchased a vortex viper Scope for my AR-10. It was not cheap 640.00 but did not come with scope mount. When i asked customer service for help they said look it up. How rude i went to a competitors site and they were glad to help me.
Tried to buy 'in stock' brass. It wasn't. After several calls ans promises of 'it will be shipped' then it will be shipped next week - FOUR months cancelled the order

They use DHL as a delivery service which has the worst ratings out there and when something goes missing you have to wait 15 days before you can start the claim process. 15 Days and you have to start the process.
Absolutely the slowest shipping company I've ever dealt with. Do not purchase anything here. Chances are, if you do order you will not receive it and then they will blame it on COVID-19 when you go to consumer affairs to complain.
I ordered 9mm ammo in January 2021. Case of 10 boxes each with 50 rounds. Great price so I ordered them. It's now almost November and when I check my order status, it states a different date all the time. Pushing it back every time. They won't answer phone calls and when I e-mail them, I get the same redundant statement every single time. Ironically, the ammo I ordered is in stock and I can put many boxes of the ammo in my cart and it states in stock but they have never sent my order to me yet. Complete rip-off. They want me to cancel my order and pay a higher price for the ammo now that they have it in stock. Would NEVER order from them again. Much better experience with Outdoor Limited!
Ordered something that said it was in stock. Turns out it had no estimated availability so I tried to ask if they had something comparable to replace it after no one answered me after a few days I cancled the item. A day or so later I thought it was crap the customer service ignored me about replacement for the item. So I whent back and cancled the entire order. Now almost a month later this company decided to send out and charge me for half the order that they actually did have. Almost a month later they over drafted my bank account for an order I cancled because of their lack of customer service. I cancled the order and didn't keep the funds in my account because I cancled it. Now i cant get the company to do anything about it. They act like this is my fault. Theres literally nothing i can do except take a $100 loss from my bank and pay $192 for an item that I cancled. I would never use this company! Go to your local shop!
You order 4 items that are "in stock" and they delete items at check out. The items you really want in your order are always the items that are deleted. They give you some ridiculous back order fill date of 6 or 9 months. They want to auto ship you whenever it comes in, ridiculous. Not worth the hassle and they are not priced better than anyone else. This was my last order. I done with these guys. JJS
I made a purchase on Monday April 10th and I paid about $97 for 2 day shipping as I was leaving out of town on a hunt so I would have it. Well it's Wednesday and it is still in Illinois and not Texas. Not to mention I leave Friday and package is do Friday by 7pm. Long after I'm gone. They will do nothing except give me a link to return. We'll if it gets stolen I can not return and out about $1100. Because they do not do what you pay for.
Ordered 9mm ammunition in November with an expected delivery date of Nov 15. Shipment date changed to Jan 13,2021. No problem. I understand a month or so delay. Today shipment date changed to March 13,2021. Totally unacceptable
4 months later still waiting for my items that "were in stock, ships in 1-3 days", just recieved my 5th email stating it is in stock now, do I still want my items I already paid for months ago? Best part you can only contact them through email that takes 5-10 day to reply back to you, I am not joking or even exaggerating and challange planet optics to rebuttal and prove any of my claims wrong! They were going to ship me an alternative that was in stock 2-months ago, 3 emails it was being shipped. This business has ZERO components, they obviously do not collaborate as departments, site is misleading or at the very least not well updated when 5 months later have not recieved one of several items "in stock, ships in 1-3 days" that was ordered seriously 5 months ago. I wouldn't wish this frustration on anyone and why I would suggest finding another online source to order from.
I placed two orders on the same day. One for a mount and battery combo and one for a thermal scope. The next day my battery order was canceled because they could not offer it any more even though they had both the battery and mount available separate. They would not honor what they sold me the day before. Days later I was told my scope was back ordered even though it did not state it on the website when I ordered it. It was pushed out one month. Then I was told it was pushed out another month. I am now on the fourth month with an expected ship date of 5/29. I tried to compromise and offered to split the difference of the next model up which is in stock but they could only offer me a $150 discount. I do not agree with how the conduct business, their customer service is awful, and I would not recommend using them if you ever want to see what you ordered.
Had an order sit for months unfulfilled and backordered because I had locked in a low price on the item I had ordered. When it became apparent I would be patient and wait for my item (at the price I purchased it for) they unilaterally cancelled the order and said they were cancelling because I hadn't answered their emails regarding the item. Checked all my emails to include spam and junk and no trace of an email regards my order. Total BS. Advise you to do your business with reputable folks elsewhere.
It's mind boggling to me how they get any bad reviews. I've placed literally dozens of orders with them in the last 3 years. I have also ordered from just about all their competitors over the last 3 years.
Their website is the EASIEST to navigate to find parts, and has the most complete product descriptions and pictures. Ordering is VERY easy and their processing is unrealistically fast. I actually just placed an order this morning and just received notification that it ALREADY shipped!
Returns are easy and fast. I've returned 3 items in the past 2 months. (Nothing due to Optics Planet. My error, an extra product ordered, and a product not what I expected because I didn't read the full description.
AND their prices can't be beat AND if you pay attention they offer discounts with many orders.

I ordered an optic on July 6th, and the website gave me a 10-14 day shipping window. Nothing arrived, so I check in late July, and now it said it would be an 8-10 week delay. I checked again in late August, and now their website says they no longer carry this item, and I should call them about my order. WFT?! What kind of sleazy ripoff scam site it this? No communication from them at all - zero! No "sorry, change in status" or other notice, just silence. I am never EVER going near Optics Scamit again... I should have listened to all the other warnings plastering the internet. Oh, and Optics Planet (shady operators that the are...) just filters for 4 and 5-star reviews to link to their website... they ignore the THOUSANDS of 1 and 2-star reviews all over the web. Don't fall for it... this is a 1-star outfit.
Placed an order for 9mm ammo in Oct of 2020. They advertised a 5-7 week lead time and the best online price for that product. After over a year of waiting now I finally wrote a review directly on their site about this whole experience which was rejected by them because "it didn't focus on the product itself" I will admit I did go off on how I've never received an email or phone call from their lousy customer service dept. Giving me a direct answer as to why my order will not ship but they are selling the same product for twice the price to other customers, they just keep pushing my ship date out every month. If you do read other reviews on their site they all say the same thing. Best thing to do is to NOT DO BUSINESS WITH optics planet. Hands down the worst online company I've done business with.
I went online and ordered two separate 10-round,. 9mm magazine orders for my CZ 75D Compact. Received one today, The magazine package has "MAG CZ 75 Compact 40 S&W." When I called, they were very helpful, but each time had to wait while to operator obtained an answer.
The shipped magazine is for a. 40 S&W; Optics Planet confirmed they are actually out of stock; and encouraged me to return for "store credit" which would be a label for free shipping.
I have tried twice to order from optics planet on 2 great deals with their 10% off sales and both times they did not ship or correspond with me why.
I called many times and emailed but they would not honor the price and ship the items. Lots of excuses! St time shame on them!

I was supposed to get some sierra blitzking blue tip jacketed hollow points 55 grain for 39.99,2 orders, but instead they sent me 2 boxes of this HSM, it's got a picture of the Montana hills and mountains on it black and white photo, a orange stripe at the bottom on the box, its not the same product (the boxes are different) it's not even hollow point, I was told and was expecting to recieve this more defensive blue tip to try/put a few In storage, but. Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
