I ordered a folding stock for an AK 47. I did not read enough to see it would not fit my Yugo AK. I emailed them and they emailed me a prepaid label and told them what I needed. In about a week I had the replacement that for my Yugo AK. If you don't call that customer service you don't know come here from sic'em.
The shipping date changes every week to a week farther away. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. They don't answer the phone and say they will call you back but the call never arrives either.
Had contacted Opticsplanet.com in regards to ordering a Kill Flash lens cover after enquiring if they would be able to ship to Canada. Their reply was in order to determine this I would have to go thru the process of placing an order and provide my credit card information first. Well did that and got a response that they could not do this as per the laws of the land regarding export of firearm related parts to Canada. Thanks for the wasted effort guys, I did manage to order thru another company in the USA w/o the B. S. excuse. Seems like a simple question which could have been answered on the initial contact. Site states that export limitations may apply but Opticsplanet seems to have no desire to complete the necessary paperwork for USA exports to Canada. Better bet would be to use Webyshops.com as they seem to be on the know about the USA export license application proceedure for shipping to Canada. Had zero difficulty in obtaining a Lucid HD7 and it's assessories thru Webyshops.com.
Ordered a product on November 30,2020. CC is charged. Received the product on December 10,2020. It was obviously used and defective. Called in and was met with apologies and a promise of a new product as soon as I sent the defective one in thru their RMA. Did it, a new order was established on December 11th. One week goes by, two weeks, 3 weeks... replacement still has not been shipped. I call customer service and am assured that it is in stock and is being processed for shipment. Four weeks go by, five weeks... still nothing. Then I received an email that states the product is no longer available. I call in again. Receive apologies and the excuse of Covid. Am asked if there is another product I'd like instead. I agree. This product is not in stock, but will ship in 12-15 weeks. They say my original charge will be applied and was offered a 10% discount that would be applied to my CC (this never happened). I'm able to find the product thru another vendor. I call to cancel the order with Optics Planet. They agree, but not for the amount of my original purchase. When I ask why, they say it's because of the 10% discount on the replacement product, which I never received. Terrible company.

Ordered my items on 19 December, with an agent on the phone, he told me all but two items were in stock but everything would ship immediately and the back ordered items will come in January when they came in. I was ok with that. Next day one of the backordered items was cancelled. Their on-line tool to provide status is worthless. They were closed during the Christmas to New Year holiday and couldn't get an agent to provide an update. I called on 3 January, the agent couldn't explain why the order hadn't shipped but would get the items shipping with expedited shipping and should arrive by 6 January. Nothing arrived, so called on 7 January, phone status said the order was processing, same as on-line system, so held to speak to an agent, he claimed his system crashed and asked I call and speak to another agent. Called back and it routed to him and he hung up on me. Called again and got another agent, she couldn't explain why the order had not shipped but should arrive Monday or Tuesday. I hope it arrives Monday or Tuesday but probably will be disappointed again. I would recommend for you to never order from this worthless outfit.
One of the top reasons I used Optics Planet was their easy exchange policy. I bought a scope and realized it didn't have enough power for my old eyes. So I returned it for an exchange for another more powerful scope. When they exchanged the two scopes, I noticed that they removed my store credit (OP Bucks) that I used on my first scope purchase, and didn't re apply it toward the purchase of the replacement scope.
The scope that I ordered was advertised at a sale price of 10% off the retail. In the case of my new scope, it would save me $43.90. I wrote OP of these two discrepancies and they said they addressed those issues via a letter email sent to me. I never received any correspondence from OP. I called OP and the first person I spoke to, Shawnda, I explained my problem to her and she understood the problem and put me on hold, and then disconnected me. I called back, got Shawnda again and got disconnected again. The third time I called I spoke with Kiana. So I explained the store credit and the 10% discount were not applied in the sale of the exchanged replacement. Kiana told me they were applied to the sale, but that did not show on my account or on my bank statement. It was clear that the discounts were not given, looking at their online records and my bank charges. I said the only recourse I have is to return the exchanged scope, and Optics Planet agreed. They did nothing to work with me.

My wife and I ordered a large amount of ammo last October. It was supposed to be shipped in one week, then that turned into one month then that turned into three months and here we are nine months later and still have not received our Ammo.
We've placed many calls, talked to them many times, and the best they could give us was a Shystie discount. Which is not a discount compared to what rate ammunition is going for right now today.
We ordered 223 ammo@. 58rnd. And they say here 9 months later that they can fill my order but they can only do it for $. 75rnd. ( and that's doing us a favor for after a year? That's preposterous!
You can get 223@ $. 35rnd right now on other sites "in stock"!
They ran me in circles over numerous calls and emails and long waits on the phone to end up with this kind of shenanigans.
We highly suggest going somewhere else. But the funny thing is which isn't so funny is that in order to place our order almost a year ago we had to give them our credit card number to secure the that price ( which they won't honor) so they've had our credit card info for almost a year now. Who knows what they've done with our information!

Several days ago I ordered a pair of OPMOD Vortex Diamondback HD 10x42 binoculars. It was offered at an attractive price.
Clicking on the "check availability" of the item it says "Estimated to ship within 2-9 days". Today (7/19/23) when I checked my order status, it said "Estimated" to ship on 10/4/2023. Of course, if I had not thought to check the order status I would not have known and would have spent my time waiting for my new binoculars to arrive before I leave on vacation. OpticsPlanet didn't bother to inform me that they sold me an unavailable product and when I called them I got some rather flimsy sounding excuses before cancelling the order.
In the meantime, I have been receiving daily promotional spam emails from them for products I really have no interest in. Hopefully they will honor my request to unsubscribe.
It turns out that OpticsPlanet has a long history of knowingly taking orders for items they won't have in stock for months without informing the buyer. You'll find many similar complaints on this site and elsewhere with some simple internet searches.
The BBB site has an alert for OpticsPlanet regarding a "Pattern of Complaints".
"BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning delivery issues, product issues, and refund/exchange issues. On 2/4/2021, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints. As of 6/9/2021, BBB has not received a plan of action to alleviate the pattern of complaints.

LONG UNEXPECTED BACKORDER- CANCELLED ORDER SO NO PRODUCT WAS USED
Order placed 9/2/23 for 2 Romeo4XT-PRO red dot sights and I only received 1 on 9/8/23.
The package was a bubble lined bag and not a properly packaged shipping box. I took pictures of this package before and after opening it because of the poor packaging. There was only 1 sight inside the bag and there was damage to all corners of the Sig Sauer box. There wasn't even room for the second sight inside this bag. I returned the only sight I received back to Optics Planet in the same bubble lined bag for a full refund for both sights on the same day. Optics Planet received the returned package on 9/11/23 and I did not receive my refund. I called customer service numerous times the following day and finally got through to a representative. The customer service representative only issued me a refund for one of the sights and inquired with a supervisor on issuing me my full amount. The supervisor required me to complete a Carrier Claim Form to be refunded my full amount. I completed and submitted the form, sent OP numerous pictures proving I did not receive the second sight, and I am still owed over five hundred dollars to be refunded to my PayPal account. After numerous emails to OP without receiving my full refund, I was forced to file a case in the resolution center with PayPal on 9/18/23. I am still waiting for my full refund.
This has been a massive inconvenience to me and I am especially disappointed in the way this situation has been handled thus far. I wish I would have reviewed the Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile of this company before doing business with them.

If you have any self respect, BUY ELSEWHERE. They never delivered my order that they said was delivered, so I contacted them and after two days of basically being called a liar I thought is was resolved because they said they issued and completed my refund witch never happened. Then said they want us to pay the $$ back that they say they refunded, even though there was never a refund issued. So, they are wanting us to pay 2x for something we didn't receive. First it said it went to Pennsylvania, then it said it was delivered on the 12th and then said it was delivered on the 14th. They had me walk all around my house 2x and disturb my neighbors to see if my package went to one of their homes to no avail. They made me do this because we didn't receive our order. On top of this we have been waiting 15 months on 300 rounds they dont even sell anymore and 200 that is still on back order, but on store shelves. I'm forced to file a BBB complaint and hope they can resolve this debacle. Definitely do not recommend this company.

I purchased a Boyds stock and when it arrived the barrel channel needed a very small amount of sanding for the barrel to fit. After doing so, and installing the barreled action, I tightened down the action screws and couldn't get the bolt open. After shimming the front screw of the floor plate and the action, the bolt would open but the fit was bad. I have over 20 years of gunsmithing experience and have used Boyds stocks before with nice results This one is inletted improperly, uneven and when I called Optics Planet the first time, I was told to contact Boyds. After talking to Boyds I was told to contact Optics Planet because they sold it. Optics Planet just told me too bad and that I spent $166.00 for nothing. Then the call ended. SOOOOO... I will not spend any more money with Optics Planet and will start believing bad reviews more. As for the stock, Boyds would take care of it if I purchased it from them and minor sanding can be expected, so, I see no need for having to deal with the B.S from Optics Planet. Horrible customer service. Too many other options to deal with this crap.
OpticsPlanet's website said they had QTY. 2 of the scope rings I needed, so I ordered. The next day I received an email that a shipping label was created. For 2 weeks, tracking my order only shown that a shipping label was created. I missed an important shooting match in-between this time that it was not delivered. At this time nothing was shipped and "Label Created" was all their website would show. On the second weekend my item did not show up, I decided to call on Saturday (it had now been 2 1/2 weeks since I ordered on a Wednesday). The first phone call I was disconnected after they answered. The next phone call, the lady said "It was funny that I was disconnected". I was not impressed. I asked to have my money returned but they refused because the policy was for them to receive the returned item first and then return for store credit. I explained I do not have the item because you have not shipped anything and I would like my money back. Since they had not shipped anything at this point, I begged that they return my money and I explained I would no longer want to do business with them. They refused. I asked to speak to her manager. She put me on hold, came back, and explained the manger was busy. She then went on to explain they had twenty in stock. It would appear that they never had any in stock, they held my money until they did, made me miss my event, and caused me stress due to their poor business practices. That following Monday, the website showed that my item had shipped.
I received it that next Thursday. It too over 3 weeks to get my item. I feel I was lied to. I can't tell anyone what to do, but in the future, I will never buy from OpticsPlanet again, and I will tell everyone in the shooting community about my bad experience with them. This was a small $62.00 purchase and I buy thousands of shooting gear a year. I hope they feel it was worth the small amount of profit they made of of my infinitesimal purchase because they will lose lots of business for this blunder. Treat your customers with honesty and respect.

I have spent thousands of dollars with this company in past orders but I will not shop with them any more for a few reasons.
The biggest issue I have with OpticsPlanet are their returns. I received the wrong color for a stock I ordered, I received an RMA and sent it back same day I received it. I had to contact them a half dozen times over the following month after they received it back asking where the credit was to my account. They said they were behind. Then said they processed it. Then they said I must have already spent the credit although if they had made any effort to check they would have seen I didn't place any orders since the one I was returning. They finally issued a credit but of course it was for less than the value I was due. I think they try to make the refund process so hard most people will just give up. I gave up on getting the last few dollars back, ordered something to use up the credit they eventually issued and will never order anything from this company again.
The other issues I have with this company are minor but still irritating. Their pricing is deceptive where they show a discount on the price for items that they are actually selling at MSRP (so if you do decide to purchase through them just shop around first to check). The other issue is that they use DHL many times to ship items that will ultimately arrive via USPS. I live just 2 states away from where they ship from and what should take 3 days max by USPS ends up taking 10+ days. DHL typically takes 5 days from the time it's ready for pick up to getting to their distribution center. Their distribution center ironically is still 2 states away, then they sit on the package for a couple days before transferring over to USPS. In the end DHL doesn't get the package any closer but just adds an extra week to the shipping time.
