Their customer service is terrible, the items you get more often than not come damaged or blemished when you buy them brand new.
Stop don't waste your time with these jokers your order will never ship especially ammo. Owner must be a moron hiring morons.
If you have any self respect, BUY ELSEWHERE. They never delivered my order that they said was delivered, so I contacted them and after two days of basically being called a liar I thought is was resolved because they said they issued and completed my refund witch never happened. Then said they want us to pay the $$ back that they say they refunded, even though there was never a refund issued. So, they are wanting us to pay 2x for something we didn't receive. First it said it went to Pennsylvania, then it said it was delivered on the 12th and then said it was delivered on the 14th. They had me walk all around my house 2x and disturb my neighbors to see if my package went to one of their homes to no avail. They made me do this because we didn't receive our order. On top of this we have been waiting 15 months on 300 rounds they dont even sell anymore and 200 that is still on back order, but on store shelves. I'm forced to file a BBB complaint and hope they can resolve this debacle. Definitely do not recommend this company.
Do not order anything from them. They cannot fill orders. 3 months later and now I get a message that my order is delayed another 8-10 MONTHS!

I purchased a Boyds stock and when it arrived the barrel channel needed a very small amount of sanding for the barrel to fit. After doing so, and installing the barreled action, I tightened down the action screws and couldn't get the bolt open. After shimming the front screw of the floor plate and the action, the bolt would open but the fit was bad. I have over 20 years of gunsmithing experience and have used Boyds stocks before with nice results This one is inletted improperly, uneven and when I called Optics Planet the first time, I was told to contact Boyds. After talking to Boyds I was told to contact Optics Planet because they sold it. Optics Planet just told me too bad and that I spent $166.00 for nothing. Then the call ended. SOOOOO... I will not spend any more money with Optics Planet and will start believing bad reviews more. As for the stock, Boyds would take care of it if I purchased it from them and minor sanding can be expected, so, I see no need for having to deal with the B.S from Optics Planet. Horrible customer service. Too many other options to deal with this crap.
OpticsPlanet's website said they had QTY. 2 of the scope rings I needed, so I ordered. The next day I received an email that a shipping label was created. For 2 weeks, tracking my order only shown that a shipping label was created. I missed an important shooting match in-between this time that it was not delivered. At this time nothing was shipped and "Label Created" was all their website would show. On the second weekend my item did not show up, I decided to call on Saturday (it had now been 2 1/2 weeks since I ordered on a Wednesday). The first phone call I was disconnected after they answered. The next phone call, the lady said "It was funny that I was disconnected". I was not impressed. I asked to have my money returned but they refused because the policy was for them to receive the returned item first and then return for store credit. I explained I do not have the item because you have not shipped anything and I would like my money back. Since they had not shipped anything at this point, I begged that they return my money and I explained I would no longer want to do business with them. They refused. I asked to speak to her manager. She put me on hold, came back, and explained the manger was busy. She then went on to explain they had twenty in stock. It would appear that they never had any in stock, they held my money until they did, made me miss my event, and caused me stress due to their poor business practices. That following Monday, the website showed that my item had shipped.
I received it that next Thursday. It too over 3 weeks to get my item. I feel I was lied to. I can't tell anyone what to do, but in the future, I will never buy from OpticsPlanet again, and I will tell everyone in the shooting community about my bad experience with them. This was a small $62.00 purchase and I buy thousands of shooting gear a year. I hope they feel it was worth the small amount of profit they made of of my infinitesimal purchase because they will lose lots of business for this blunder. Treat your customers with honesty and respect.
Bought over priced Chinese junk. Didn't work strait out of the box. You'd think for the price. It would at least kind of work for awhile. Nope.
I have spent thousands of dollars with this company in past orders but I will not shop with them any more for a few reasons.
The biggest issue I have with OpticsPlanet are their returns. I received the wrong color for a stock I ordered, I received an RMA and sent it back same day I received it. I had to contact them a half dozen times over the following month after they received it back asking where the credit was to my account. They said they were behind. Then said they processed it. Then they said I must have already spent the credit although if they had made any effort to check they would have seen I didn't place any orders since the one I was returning. They finally issued a credit but of course it was for less than the value I was due. I think they try to make the refund process so hard most people will just give up. I gave up on getting the last few dollars back, ordered something to use up the credit they eventually issued and will never order anything from this company again.
The other issues I have with this company are minor but still irritating. Their pricing is deceptive where they show a discount on the price for items that they are actually selling at MSRP (so if you do decide to purchase through them just shop around first to check). The other issue is that they use DHL many times to ship items that will ultimately arrive via USPS. I live just 2 states away from where they ship from and what should take 3 days max by USPS ends up taking 10+ days. DHL typically takes 5 days from the time it's ready for pick up to getting to their distribution center. Their distribution center ironically is still 2 states away, then they sit on the package for a couple days before transferring over to USPS. In the end DHL doesn't get the package any closer but just adds an extra week to the shipping time.
Ordered a product that was shown to be in stock and Checking Availability showed it would ship in 23 - 32 days. Different colors of the same product were all on backorder. A couple of days after the order was placed it changed to 100 plus days. I understand that things happen. I could wait. 45 days later, it shows shipping to be delayed for over 250 days from when it was ordered.
I got on the site and found another configuration that again showed in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. A different color on backorder but not the one being ordered. So I place the order. The next day this new order shows shipping over 200 days as well now.
Well, I go back to the item on the site and it is still showing that it is in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. It is not backordered or nothing stating that shipping will be delayed.
So I reach out to Customer Service. Just wanting to understand what happened. And to let them know that something may be broken. Yes I am frustrated. I explain the situation. The Agents gives me the song and dance that the manufacturer is behind. I explain that my complaint has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the Bait and Switch of telling me and other people right at this very moment that you can ship in 23-32 days when you cannot. AGent did what he was trained to do and towed the company line. Etc...
However, it did not resolve anything. I am sure this Agents leadership at Optics Planet has no interest in knowing that they are either misrepresenting themselves (nice way of saying lying) or a system is broken and not updating correctly (assuming they have integrity).
Due to the Agent not offering to pass on info, or unable to offer any solution as my complaint was the misrepresentation. The culture there is for the Customer Service people to just be a barrier between the customers and leadership. So just shut up and give us your money.
Shipping is slow and aweful. Will never order from Optics Planet again. Beware of the slow shipping from this company
4 months waiting for 9mm but they are still selling it on the website will not buy anything from this place again.
Online says it have the item in stock order been a month now keep changing shipping date won't recommend

Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
