I ordered a folding stock for an AK 47. I did not read enough to see it would not fit my Yugo AK. I emailed them and they emailed me a prepaid label and told them what I needed. In about a week I had the replacement that for my Yugo AK. If you don't call that customer service you don't know come here from sic'em.
The shipping date changes every week to a week farther away. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. They don't answer the phone and say they will call you back but the call never arrives either.
I have heard that in the past, optics planet would take forever to ship. I have used them now for several builds, had to do a return so I feel like I have some experience with them and its been all positive. There customer service is exceedingly responsive and they any old issues about not shipping quick must be a past issue, I have never experienced it

We purchased a product back in October 2020. We understood shipping would take a while, but what we didn't expect was for them to continue to push it back month by month until they decided to cancel it. They realized they would no longer make money on this order, so they decided to cancel it. Do not advertise a price if you're not going to honor it. We reached out to their customer service team multiple times and they always told us "It will ship once we have it in supply" but they are selling the same product today at a higher price. Scummy business practices, take your money elsewhere.

I ordered an item that the website said was in stock back in Oct. It's the end of Dec now and the status for the ship date keeps getting pushed farther back every day. If an item shows it is in stock, I expect it to be shipped in a timely manner, not waiting for months with no clear date of when it will be shipped.
Customer service with opticsplanet is one of the worst I've ever seen. You pay for 3 to 5 days shipping your lucky to get it in 2 to 3 weeks. Every time you contact the company they send the same email out saying you have to wait 15 days before you can file for a lost package. Clearly they don't give a crap about their customers. We'll never order from again!
I've spent hundreds if not thousands with opticsplanet.com over the years. As of today, no more. Long story short, ordered a g17 zaffiri barrel on sale for $120. Checked out and paid in full for tax/shipping $134 with change only to be notified my barrel will ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Week and a half of waiting i receive a notice from PayPal i was just charged without my permission an additional $23. I'm done, avoid this company

I recently ordered scope rings, after a reasonable amount of time elapsed (2 weeks) I had corresponded. They basically rambled about being at a "satellite warehouse " and slight delay. Some more time went by and I corresponded again and met with another stalling rant. I still waited and without any explanation they just refunded my money back to pay pal. Extremely poor customer relations and terrible business practices. You suck optic planet! Don't buy anything from these people! Take that star off of there and shove it!

Placed an order, and only then got notified that one of the items is out of stock and will be shipped in 11-23 business days. When talking to support, their attitude is like they are bothered by you. Will never buy anything from this site again, thankfully there are plenty of other options.
As other have mentioned, Optics Planet does not have many of the items they advertise for sale in stock. Their last response (received today) to my multiple inquiries for an expected ship date for an item I ordered six weeks ago was;
"Thank you for contacting us. This order is currently processing. We ask all of our customers to please allow 1-3 business days for orders to process. Once processed, you will receive an email confirmation as well as the tracking information. If there is anything else you need please let us know. Have a nice day!"

I'm still waiting on an order from two years ago and when I tried to write a review on the product website stating that, Opticsplanet "denied" my review because it "wasn't about the product". That's insane. Horrible business.

Ordered 2 products. The next day I check my email, and one of them is on back order. I contacted a rep who said I was lying, and it showed back order right under the Order button. Total BS considering how many products I turned down specifically for being on back order. The rep put 10 of their website dollars I'll never use in my website account. Crazy thing to do if your customers lying, huh. The day after that I check the status, and the back order product is now a further 2 weeks on top of the original 3 weeks back ordered. I contact them again, and amazingly I can a loaded response IN SECONDS. Can't imagine there might be others not happy about being screwed. I won't be going back to OpticsPlanet. You'd be better off buying from a fiend from the back of a van behind a supermarket in the middle of the night.

Wrote customer service a question about any upcoming promotions they might have for the upcoming Veterans Day in 7 days from now. Asking because I was looking at a high dollar purchase. The response I received back was, if I were an account holder or member of optics planet I would know. Really? That's the response I get. Not no we sure are, but you will have to wait and see or I'll check for you. I am veteran, retired Army. This is how they treat their veterans.

MidWay was really no better in providing any information for any upcoming sales for Veterans Day. But if you are looking for Optics and other products. Got to ScopeList. Absolute hands down, best thing I did. The Holosun, HE530G that both sites wanted 469.99 plus tax and shipping, I got the same Optic with a 15% discount and no tax. They take care of their clients.

Ive made multiple purchases through this company. Not anymore. Always shipping issues and now the customer service and how they treat veterans was the straw that broke the Camel's back

The system the company has set up to receive emails and inquiries takes shopper on a loop that sends them back to starting point of contact each time they try to place an inquiry. This is intentional and a deliberate way to scam the shopper.

I've had a number of good experiences with OpticsPlanet, enough to keep me coming back over the past year or so. Their customer service is on point and can usually sort through any issues. For example, I got the wrong model of bag I ordered, but returning it was painless and they really went out of their way to solve it. Shipping is fast, and it's good to have live inventory on the site (this is one of the major improvements I've noticed). Overall, a quality site to get shooting gear. I bought a couple of mounts that were hard to find otherwise. Will definitely keep shopping with them!
Placed an order with Optics Planet. It shipped via DHL two days later. Today has been 14 days and I still haven't received my item. Tracking indicates that the package made it to Atlanta (two hours from my house) but it hasn't moved in 10 days. I've called them 3 times (customer service number) but was told today that they don't consider the package lost until 21 (business) days. I'm sorry but delivery time of a month for an in stock item is unacceptable. Looks like I have made my last purchase for Optics Planet.
Over a month and still no shipping notification nor product for something advertised as "in stock" when I ordered. Customer service is horrible and only gives the form responses. Never take responsibility for failing to be able to fulfill orders they market. Simply a horrible company to work with.
I've been buying from Optics Planet for over 3 years and never had any problem of any kind. I have purchased items that still have a better value than when I bought them. Always do your homework and wait for the right time. You'll know when to pull the trigger. Complete uppers, high end optics, ammo to name a few things and about 6 OP beanies.

The worst return process!
Their shipping is one of the slowest online retailer. They are the worst when it comes to returning something. Their return process takes at least 45 days or more before you get credit. I even tried "store credit" which Opticsplanet highly recommends and states the fastest way to get credit back on returns. Well... more than 30 days and they still haven't issued a store credit. They received the item in 3 days and acknowledged the return and states they will post credit in my account. I've contacted customer service and they send you an automated response regarding their credit return policy which is FALSE. If you can find you item or product somewhere else do not get it from optics planet.
I've seen the bad reviews but ignored it thinking it wouldn't happen to me. Well, I just made myself a victim when I had all the data telling me not to do business with Opticsplanet.
They might as well state "Free Shipping No Credit on Returns"

Beware: If you have to return something you will not receive credit even within 30 days. Be prepared to wait 2 moths or more.... Customer Service will not help you.

I will not order anything from Optics Planet again. I placed an order over 15 days ago and it still has not arrived. I contacted them to assist me with this issue, however I only get a generic message stating they can't do anything if the order has been stagnant for 14 days by the shipper. This is completely unacceptable. I have paid them to provide a product (with free shipping stating it would be delivered within 10 days) and I don't have my product. They have done nothing to assist me. When I have asked for my money back, they sent me the generic message as stated before. And by the way, they use DHL as a shipping source and they are terrible.

Ordered prescription sunglasses a month ago. Called after 3 weeks for a status update and got a different answer each time I called. One agent said she would check on the order and call back or email by the end to the day. Nothing. Finally was told the glasses were ready and would soon ship. Then today I get an email that the order was cancelled because it could not be fulfilled. Wasted a month on these guys. Go elsewhere!
This site has the absolute WORST customer service I have ever seen! They don't accept calls! They don't return calls! They advertise lots of items, but have none of then in stock! They don't ship what you ordered! This is a completely bogus company! They say they will ship within a few days, and after you pay, you get an email saying shipment might not happen until 3-4 months later! Talk about FAKE NEWS, this is a FAKE COMPANY! Ordered ammo 2 years ago. They cancelled one part and kept delaying the other one. Yesterday instead of a ship date of 2/119/2022 it said 8/20/2022 yep waste of time!. Do not even look at the web site!
Delivery is painfully slow. Great selection and decent sale prices, but don't count on advertised Delivery times. A recent purchase stated 2 day delivery (stated value $47), you would think at that delivery charge the item would ship via air but after tracking confirms UPS ground and a 6 day projected delivery. I could of bought the same thing elsewhere for less $$$ but was sucked in with 2 day shipping. I have experienced several longer shipping delays after paying for expedited shipping when free shipping was available.
Just select free shipping and wait, and wait, and wait.
