I love this place so much, especially the iced coffee, me and my baseball "teammates" aka lovers come here often and get the rice bowls
Food did not match the menu pictures or the TV ad. Very deceptive advertising. Chicken sandwich was a tiny piece of burnt chicken, 1 small piece of wilted lettuce, no flavor good or bad. Too expensive. So disappointed, will never eat there again. If you have never been there, good luck finding your way around. No staff member offered any assistance. The pink lemonade tasted like a powdered mix and burned my throat.
The salads at the Panera in Lutheran general hospital are the worst. Hardly any dressing given and have to always ask for more. The Caesar wrap is extremely dry and way too much lettuce. The wait for your food is well over 20 minutes even if you only order soup. When will they get a clue?
The cashiers are always very friendly and bubbly but the wait for food is horrific! Management does not care obviously.
Tip for consumers:
Forget Panera. The service is terrible with long wait for food and prices way tooo high for the headache you get.
The first time I ever ordered from them they forgot two items. Since bag was sealed I didn't notice until I got home. Their checklist indicated the items were in there. Someone screwed up, obviously. Called manager access on menu. Person was very rude. Asked if she was the manager and then someone else came on the phone. Very nice. Since I did not have a panera card she took my info and was going to mail a gift card to me. Never received.
Tonight we had a sandwich, a pick 2 and 2 sodas for $37. I left no tip. And I had to bus my own table. We were forced to sit at a tiny table because many of the booth were occupied by a single person setting up a home office nursing a drink. Although the food is good, It is not worth the price in my opinion.
The worst meal ever ordered for my family of 4. The quality and cutback on product is so bad. They should stick to bread only.
1) 3 peices if paper thin chicken on the cobb salad plus a lot if wilted onions.
2) The creamed chicken soup tastes like the can.
3) The websites kept trying to force drinks & the drink club on you when you're ordering.
4) The free mac & cheese for new members is not free when you pay.
Tip for consumers:
Worst meal for my family of 4 ever.

While the food and service are great in person, using their worldwide web is beyond frustrating. Attempting to log into personal accounts is met with countless inability to log one in. Forget about modifying an existing order. The cafe can't/wont help as they are powerless to assist so you must call and of course they cannot modify an order, they must place the order for you. This company needs to seriously work on their website to make it accessible and more user friendly.
WORST experience! Ordered through Grubhub, Panera sends wrong item and manager yells at me when I called to complain and have it rectified. WORST customer service! I will never eat at or order from Panera again. Not worth the aggravation of horrible service.
Tip for consumers:
When ordering through Grubhub, DoorDash, or other services bear in mind that the restaurant itself feels it has no accountability for wrong orders. The problem here was the manager's attitude and inability to communicate effectively and became emotionally agitated. I also called the corporate number for Panera and, to no surprise, they too were not helpful. The food isn't good enough to offset the poor customer service. Pick somewhere else.
Brought 3 different sandwiches home. Needed a magnifying glass to find any meat in any of them. 1 tsp of chicken dipped in bottled BBQ sauce for $9.79! REALLY! Can't believe this place is still in business!
Panera Bread has numerous online and placard ads advertising up to $22 an hour for cashier jobs. When applicants inquire the rate the will be paid after the day of job shadowing, Panera Bread managers are telling applicants that the advertising is incorrect and really offering $12 per hour. Thing is if applicants are asking what the pay rate is, you should be able to tell them before they do a job shadow and especially when the applicants say what they are expecting. $12 is long away from $22 during these times of inflation
We just placed a take out order at the College Ave Panera and when we went to go pick it up the person behind the counter says we cancelled it because we are short staffed and it was to big. We placed it an hour ago and no one called or texted or emailed. I truly am out of words to explain how I feel but very unprofessional. Don't know how you can keep your doors open if you are that rude.
The full turkey/bacon sandwich ($11.89) not even near its value per protein inside! Too much salad as filler. The Napa Chicken almond half sandwich, a disaster. Barely found couple of pieces of chicken! Wow! Soups too watery.
$35 order shouldn't even cost $20.
Too much water & salad as fillers. Mobile pick-in order took 7 extra minutes to complete. Can't go again...
I had a very unfortunate visit at Panera in Newburgh today. I waited for half a baguette sandwich for 30 minutes only to be met with the saddest sandwich I have ever seen for 11 dollars. The sandwich is thin with meat, there was one red onion on there and the lettuce was OLD, WILTED and spoiled. This truly was the worst sandwich I have ever seen. I know that Panera likes to say all of their ingredients are quality and fresh, but the picture here speaks for itself. I will never be going here again and I suggest you don't either. I used to be a huge fan of panera but my experience today was frightening with the quality and wait time.

I didn't use online. I went in the store

$13 not including tip for a very generic breakfast sandwich, a good pastry, and a small cup of coffee. Even with inflation that just doesn't get it. They're paying for too much overhead and they can't deliver the quality and value in the food.
Do NOT try the coffee subscription. I set up an account with a brand new password to try it out (never once went in for coffee) and tried to cancel it that first month. They locked me out of the account and claimed my password had expired. It was less than a month old how could it be expired?! This isn't NASA - a restaurant account doesn't need to have a password change every few days for security. Sounds like a scam to make it so they can keep charging peoples cards. No password reset option was available of course due to it apparently being high risk? $50 later (zero coffee had) I finally get ahold of someone to cancel this subscription. I asked to remove ONE of the charges. Hard pass by the Panera rep. I had to call my CC and dispute the charges due to the sleazy way they handled the cancellation.

Recently I ordered food online for lunch at work from Panera Bread. It arrived very late and cold, so I reached out to a customer service representative. I was not disappointed when he met me with two free meal tickets and an apology. I love when a company shows you that you are valued as a customer. I can't wait to use these meal tickets because the food is very delicious when it is hot! :)
Every time I go to Panera in Kennedy and west shore in Tampa there is a homeless guy
Sitting at a table. I feel sorry for him, he is not eating or drinking. So I will not consider him customer.
Poor guy, he is filthy and smells REAL bad.
Can you do anything about it?
What is going to prevent that other homeless people start doing the same thing and spend their days in a table inside Panera

We ordered soup on line for lunch because we were sick, and the soup was from the day before, and watered, of course we did no eat it, re heated. Please, sale fresh products, do not play with people's health.
I know food is more expensive and restaurants have raised prices. But Panera Bread' s recent price hikes. Are over the top. My family and I will definitely reduce visits. Plus when we go, we will reduce or eliminate tips.
For the first time going there, I had the worst experience. My stomach is hurting because I couldn't chew all the hard bread.
Bread and all it was hard. My side dish was bread too, because I didn't want chips. The hardness of the bread made it impossible for me to cut it with a plastic knife. For the price we paid, we weren't given much meat or sauce. Come on Panera, you can do better.
I enjoyed the salad and ate all of it, but not the hard bread. We spent $40 together as a couple. Too much money for lunch budget when I had water only and he had tea. It was expensive for our state worker income.
I won't be returning.
I asked the cashier a question she rolled her eyes. Ordered a steak sandwich with cheese, im not sure if they added onions but whatever it but it was pretty overbearing. Ordered an apple&cranberry drink and it was completely disgusting. Waste of money and bad first impression.
My daughter recently passed away from complications from Chemotherapy.
Rebecca Schmidt was a loyal worker at Panera. She was very well liked. Corporate terminated her employment even though she was on medical leave for her sickness. They said they wanted to do something for the family but never followed through with it.
What a lousy place to work. But what I got in the mail was a termination letter for my deceased daughter.
We rarely go to Panera in Glendale as it is horribly dirty especially in the evening.
Last night there was not one clean table and they close off one side. We live so
Close but will drive to the University Hills location which is always clean. Hope something can be done as we love their food.
To place a delivery order on DoorDash, Panera charges an extra $10. They show an extra $6.99 and raise the prices on the food. We already pay a fee for DoorDash. Parking at each Panera is horrible. I understand that you no longer have drivers, so why are they still charging the customer? Maybe they shouldn't offer delivery.
I know everyone tries to cut corners where they can but give it up Panera! If your prices get any higher for the size of the portions, your customers will be paying for air! $7.49 for a miniature bowl of chili... that's absurd! I'll not be a fool to your establishment again! Best of luck!
I must give credit to Panera as they really want to do their best. You are at the mercy of your labor but the transparency in their product and goals is commendable. If they fall short they try to remedy. Bravo for being upfront and genuine.
My last two visits to Panera will probably be my last ones. On one occasion the bacon on my sandwich was undercooked. The most recent visit my soup was tepid.
