Panera is so bad their own employee Gina Bryant calls for a boycott! Time to show them that the consumer is king. Avoid Panera Bread.
I recently ordered online at the store on Richmond Rd in Williamsburg, ordered the pick two, only received Half the order did not receive my salad. When I called, I got Shawn on the phone said he could give me a refund, but it would take 24-48 hrs. To process, I said that I would really like to receive the salad he said he could not re-send the rest of my order to my address that I would have to come and pick it up, I ordered online for the convivence to not have to go to the store to get it. I feel like he should have re-sent the rest of my order to my address since I ordered for delivery. I will not be ordering from Panera again. Order # **************
Could not order a salad with, tomatoes, strawberries, or blueberries, so I chose sweet red peppers on my salads. Surprise! Panera switched sweet red peppers for hot peppers. Asked for no plastic silverware...got 2 sets. Overpriced workers, overpriced food.
Went to the East Madison location. I appreciate fresh food however 40 minutes to make 2 simple sandwiches that were exactly the same is ridiculous. Makes me wonder if they have to butcher and process the chicken right in the restaurant. I went through the drive though and sat in the parking lot forever.
They should have stuck to their original vision. They have expended the menu to the point of needing to sacrifice fresh quality items to alot of processed junk. Bread is still great, at least what I've recently tried. Ordered a roasted turkey sandwich. Nice thick cut italian bread, tomato slices, red onion, some mixed greens on top of highly processed " turkey". Like the really cheap lunch meat at the grocery. So I tossed the turkey and had a veggie sandwich. Last visit for me Panera
My daughter and I were out shopping and decided to stop for lunch. There was a Panera close by, and I mentioned never eating there and based on their promotions it sounded good for a quick lunch of soup and sandwich. It was the coldest, most impersonal environment I've ever experienced. A kiosk type machine greeted us and you had to make a selection on the machine. We both ordered a soda, cup of soup and half sandwich. We were billed over $37 through the machine and were given a number to claim our order when ready. $37 plus for a terrible 8 oz cup of soup, a very scimpy portioned half sandwich and small soda. Plus we were required to clean our table. No atmosphere, no service, and terrible food. My, and hope many others, will be wary before patronizing this food chain.
I saw the Panera brand New England Clam Chowder soup in a local store and thought I would give it a try. We thought it was the worst Clam Chowder we have ever eaten. Campbells in a can is better than this watery soup. We then tried another brand called Clam Shack and it was delicious, pricey, but well worth the price!
Had a chance to try the Greek Salad and I was greatly disappointed, what you get for the money looks like they're not even trying, I hate to see any business close but I'm afraid that's eventually what will happen with Panera if they don't change their corporate culture
The new signature take sandwich was a joke. After spending over 50 bucks I had high expectations. Dry, overcooked, bland, no sauce and only 2 Parmesan crisps? You can do better. Won't be spending money here again.
Food did not match the menu pictures or the TV ad. Very deceptive advertising. Chicken sandwich was a tiny piece of burnt chicken, 1 small piece of wilted lettuce, no flavor good or bad. Too expensive. So disappointed, will never eat there again. If you have never been there, good luck finding your way around. No staff member offered any assistance. The pink lemonade tasted like a powdered mix and burned my throat.
After the trip to the shops we stopped to eat in Panera brad. It's the worst food I've ever eaten. My daughter and I had stomachs when we got home. The food is just awful, how can you cook and serve it to people? Paid for 2 servings 14.80. No pleasure from food not received. There was a spoiled mood for the money thrown to the wind. Would not recommend to anyone. We ate in this restaurant for the first and last time. Never again!
Bread was frozen, soup with chemical taste, very disappointed, I will tell everyone about my terrible experience
I ordered two salads in advance, one with chicken and one without. Both had chicken and they did not seem at all fresh. Lettuce was turning brown. I also noticed that some employees would rather be anywhere else but at their job. One woman borders on rudeness, not a great representation of your company. The store is located on Main Street, Summerville SC. My daughter & I ended up throwing the salads out. Great waste of $24.00.
We paid $8 for an order of Mac and cheese and got one ladle sized scoop… so small it was absolutely unbelievable. The broccoli and cheddar soup used to be really good… but now it just tastes like slime, salt and chemicals pretending to be cheese. We spent $43 and left hungry. I will never give these thieves another cent of my hard earned money. If I could leave zero stars, I would. These crooks need to be put out of business!
We ordered two pick 2's today only to discover Panera had no napkins. A sign stated due to a supply chain shortage there at no napkins. This is BS. The manager can walk in any Sam's, Costco, Walmart or any grocery store and buy them. I do not accept this as an acceptable response.
Additionally, the 99 cents deal for a pastry with a sandwich and a drink is now priced at 50 percent off the pastry.
The restaurant offered a paper towel as a napkin replacement which I attached.
I will not be visiting Panera any longer.
I have eaten at Panera for a few years and it appears they have changed their bagel recipe? Also in general all their quality of food has been disappointing! I will not go back and waste any more money.

If its not the onion or egg in a salad, or dark roast coffee, or brioche rolls for breakfast sandwiches, etc, etc, Panera is always out of something I order. Once in a while you find out at the kiosk, many times not. Even though I am a rewards member, I have decided to start going elsewhere (a place that is allowed to go next door to the grocery store when it runs out of eggs)! Is this company on such thin financial ice that inventory issues are due to lack of $$?
I don't know why I keep coming back! My order is never right. I'm not asking for anything special. Just a breakfast sandwich ( no substitutes) as is. I get ham instead of sausage or different bread. My sweet husband who goes to pick it up does a quick check of the food. Why do I punish myself? I guess I always think they will get it right. Maybe 3 times this year they got my order right. I should have at least 8 free sandwiches from this year alone. Awful awful awful!
If I could give it a zero I would. I got tomato soup with mold in it and had the worst service. Did not even get my money back absolutely disgusting. Will ensure to take this a lot farther than just a complaint online
Was a sip club member, cancelled due to never using it. Didn't pay attention couple months go by I see I am still being charged. Ok, paying for it got another free drink. Go online cancel again, this time I follow and again they charge my account. I go online and contact them- they need 3-5 days. I tell them not good enough voice my concerns and say I will notify authorities. I get an immediate response to provide my account information- I already did in my complaint, not doing this again. Today get email they won't refund me but will give me a reward. It took me 3 times to get it cancelled, or I hope it is, removing my credit card information now. Buyer beware
We bought three half steak and white cheddar sandwiches for $7.29 each, two cups of soup $4.99 each, a half size Asian chicken salad for $7.79 and one large soda for $3.19. The portions on the sandwiches were so small that you were literally eating bread. See the picture. The prices for what you get are high. Out total cost of this lunch was $42.83. So not worth it!
Answer: Scam, over priced and not that good. Small portions with big price tags.
Answer: It was the only option, and I needed to eat something.
