I love this place so much, especially the iced coffee, me and my baseball "teammates" aka lovers come here often and get the rice bowls
Food did not match the menu pictures or the TV ad. Very deceptive advertising. Chicken sandwich was a tiny piece of burnt chicken, 1 small piece of wilted lettuce, no flavor good or bad. Too expensive. So disappointed, will never eat there again. If you have never been there, good luck finding your way around. No staff member offered any assistance. The pink lemonade tasted like a powdered mix and burned my throat.
Could not order a salad with, tomatoes, strawberries, or blueberries, so I chose sweet red peppers on my salads. Surprise! Panera switched sweet red peppers for hot peppers. Asked for no plastic silverware...got 2 sets. Overpriced workers, overpriced food.
This company is the only company known for using CREDIT HISTORY as judgment in getting a job. To me this is so discriminating on so many levels including the EEOC and FTC. Good luck getting a job with this company if you have a bad mark on your credit history. No one is perfect and sometimes individuals no matter who they are fall on hard times and because of that they can not get a job. Based out of California which does not allow judgment on credit history but they allow there store managers across the nation to judge by credit history and not criminal history. Well unless your felony with a clean credit history. You wont get the job even if you qualify if there are bad marks on the credit history BUT you have a criminal history you may get the job.
I don't know why I keep purchasing food here. At this point I do it to myself. None the less, Panera Bread is probably the worst bang for your buck on the market. Everything...and I mean EVERYTHING is overpriced. Even for inflation standards. You want a small CUP of mac & cheese? $9 including tax. Just a bowl of soup alone can cost you up to $11 for something that their minimum wage workers had to pour out of a plastic bag and put in a microwave (I mention their employees pay because you would think what they charge for the food, they would be paying them a livable wage). I know that food advertisements are often embellished and it is very rare to receive food that looks like the picture, but MY GOD does this company skimp out. For the price of a $15 sandwich you would think they would give you your moneys worth...wrong again. Countless times I have ordered a sandwich and something was missing from it or had barley anything on it. If it was one or two times, ok. It happens. But at this point it has to be a supply chain issue that the company clearly doesn't care to fix. I would steer clear of ordering anything off their menu that isn't a cookie or a simple duet meal. Still overpriced, but a TAD more consistent in quality. Good place to study, horrible place to spend your money. You would get more enjoyment setting your own wallet on fire.
Had a chance to try the Greek Salad and I was greatly disappointed, what you get for the money looks like they're not even trying, I hate to see any business close but I'm afraid that's eventually what will happen with Panera if they don't change their corporate culture

I saw the Panera brand New England Clam Chowder soup in a local store and thought I would give it a try. We thought it was the worst Clam Chowder we have ever eaten. Campbells in a can is better than this watery soup. We then tried another brand called Clam Shack and it was delicious, pricey, but well worth the price!
Quite literally everytime i've gotten panera my order has been wrong. EVERYTIME. I always make sure my receipt is right, and it is. But my order is NEVER right.
They should have stuck to their original vision. They have expended the menu to the point of needing to sacrifice fresh quality items to alot of processed junk. Bread is still great, at least what I've recently tried. Ordered a roasted turkey sandwich. Nice thick cut italian bread, tomato slices, red onion, some mixed greens on top of highly processed " turkey". Like the really cheap lunch meat at the grocery. So I tossed the turkey and had a veggie sandwich. Last visit for me Panera
Went to the East Madison location. I appreciate fresh food however 40 minutes to make 2 simple sandwiches that were exactly the same is ridiculous. Makes me wonder if they have to butcher and process the chicken right in the restaurant. I went through the drive though and sat in the parking lot forever.

Had the mac& cheese with bacon, and it was horrible, could only eat Half of a small serving, considering the prices charged very disappointed
I've been at Panera customer for 15 years and even worked at the Waltham location. I love my cinnamon crunch bagel but it takes an average of 22 minutes to get it split and toasted because my order goes to the back of the line. My coffee was cold again and they were out of cream, again. I've opened up three Panera stores in our region as a former employee. This is a sad experience.
My daughter and I were out shopping and decided to stop for lunch. There was a Panera close by, and I mentioned never eating there and based on their promotions it sounded good for a quick lunch of soup and sandwich. It was the coldest, most impersonal environment I've ever experienced. A kiosk type machine greeted us and you had to make a selection on the machine. We both ordered a soda, cup of soup and half sandwich. We were billed over $37 through the machine and were given a number to claim our order when ready. $37 plus for a terrible 8 oz cup of soup, a very scimpy portioned half sandwich and small soda. Plus we were required to clean our table. No atmosphere, no service, and terrible food. My, and hope many others, will be wary before patronizing this food chain.
Once upon a time Panera bread had a reputation of good food at decent prices. The workers are mostly young kids (high school age group). The customer service was always sub par. But the portions of food were pretty good... But... Since covid 19 and this $#*! wipe Joe Biden. Panera bread has jumped on the band wagon to raise prices. But... Also reduce the size of the entree substantially to the point it's now ridiculous. The greed of Panera bread along with its arrogance makes me sick to my stomach. It's a total ripp off. And don't ever. I mean ever order food to go. Advice to senior managers and owners. Spend time training your staff cause most of them don't have a clue what customer service is. Also stop patting yourself on your backs the food is not as good as it use to be. Listen to customers because they will fade just like they did with Starbucks.
Things will change and people will remember the good companies but people will remember more the greedy Panera bread. You guys suck. Show this review on your next board of directors meeting.
If you want a bread sandwich this is the place. My wife and I both got the Black Forrest Ham & Gouda Melt. It was a couple of the thinnest pieces of ham you have ever seen, folded over with a mist of sprayed on gouda cheese on a baguette so dense and tough that I was happy that I didn't pull out some teeth eating it. In today's world of fast food where they mainly want to sell you bread. Panera takes it to a whole nother level.
Went to Panera Bread in Village Walk location in Henderson NV and ordered a Bacon Egg Breakfast Sandwich, when I finally got my order, the bacon was burned and over cooked, when I asked if I can have a better Bacon, a Manager named Dylan, with no Customer service personality stated that, that's how we cooked our Bacon.
Went to Englewood Ohio Panera for quick lunch. Ordered new bacon avocado melt sandwich…. Only some bacon bits on sandwich and some avocado Thought it would at least have slices of bacon…. Not worth it.
First the lady at the front counter could not spell my name than the order she gave me was not my name on it I frustrated took the order the soup was cold thick and old,now let me tell you something I get soups all the time but this is the last time. I want my money Refunded or I'm going to put it on social media.
Their food is overpriced. The full salad portion I ordered today was half of the portion of the pick-2 order. They loaded with a whole bunch of rotten lettuce. I will never order anything from Panera again.
A mom friend of mine was FIRED because the manager at Panera didn't want to have to cover her shifts when she went on maternity leave. NOT ONLY THAT, the manager complained about having to find a bigger uniform to fit her pregnant belly! The manager said, and I quote,"I had to go to the big people store just so your belly wouldn't be hanging out." Their food sucks, their customer service sucks and the people working there SUCK!
We paid $8 for an order of Mac and cheese and got one ladle sized scoop… so small it was absolutely unbelievable. The broccoli and cheddar soup used to be really good… but now it just tastes like slime, salt and chemicals pretending to be cheese. We spent $43 and left hungry. I will never give these thieves another cent of my hard earned money. If I could leave zero stars, I would. These crooks need to be put out of business!

We paid $14 for a small bowl of teriyaki chicken and broccoli Bowl we paid $7 for one small scoop of chicken and rice the price there is ridiculous it is not worth the food that's for sure you guys need to lower your prices because your food's not worth it. Like someone else said we paid $35 and were still very hungry.
Took our family for lunch. Spent $100 and people left hungry. The serving sizes have been reduced to ridiculously small portions. In the past a salad would satisfy a normal appetite. Not these days. Won't be back.
Darius is the new manager at the Panara bread on 98th & University.
I was sick and didn't want to expose myself by coming in to grab my food. Bc it was New Year's Day, I believe the drive thru was not an option so I called and they made an exception and brought my order to my car. Darius, the new manager, not sure if I am spelling his name correctly but would not take my card or payment for the meal. He just said it was free! And told me to have blessed day! Oh my word. That is a great way to start the new yr! Being sick over the holidays was a bummer, and I didn't have the strength to go to the store and buy ingredients and make chicken soup. But Darius gave me and my husband would needed dinner after work, two free meals, on the house! I'll be shopping at this particular Panara breads from now on! Bless you Darius!

I have to say, I enjoyed the atmosphere, but disappointed in my order. I had soup in the bread bowl. I would like to know, the bread that was remove, why wasn't it on my plate. I actual had 7 teaspoons of soup, not much for the money that was spent. My strawberry mint lemonade tasted like water and not even a taste of mint. My recommendations try given people the bread from inside to help fill them, and put soup to top of the bowl. Add mint and some sort of sweetener to lemonade, and this order would have been the bomb.

I just ordered Curbside Pickup from Panera in Champions Gate, Davenport, FL, (Location# *******). Everything tasted fine except the fruit cup. It was awful! The fruit was tasteless and grapes were sour. I've been coming to Panera Bread for many years and always loved the fresh food, but the portions have gotten dramatically smaller and prices too high, and a lot of times they are out of basic items, like ham and cheese. But it also depends on what location you go to. Some locations give you much larger portions with much better service.
Not sure where other people have their bad experiences both stores near me have fantastic food it's a little pricey but it good real food. I'm not a soup person don't usually care for it but I'd eat the broccoli and cheddar daily!
