Jim the manager is always very helpful and cheerful! He as well as other employees and managers at that location consistently offer excellent customer service. They seem to really care about your event and getting you what you would like. When comparing shopping Amazon or other stores this is the place. They have the best product and price as well as great customer service! Buyer beware! I purchased a helium tank along with some other party products, and ended up not needing to use the helium tank so I tried to take it back. So I found that you cannot return the helium tanks as Party City has a contract with the helium tank company. As well, there are other products that are not refundable too. At the time of purchase the clerk did not disclose this information and there were no signs at the register or with the products informing the customers about this.
I ordered a sparkly witch costume with a light up dress, a wand, and a hat but they forgot the hat. I got mad after this experience and would like another costume BEFORE Halloween.
The store Whistone in Queens, College Point NY, the personal ego pero in there, they are prepotente, unpolite, one of the maneger the name David treat with bar actitud and prepotence. I ask to speak with the maneger above, he was in the store and he didnt show in any moment, nos name is Peter When you call customer service they put you on hold for 30 min and them they hang Up the thelephone. Nobody care and proyect the customer. Dont lost your time to buy or order anything in this place ir hoy have to exchange or need a service forget it about. I will never in my life visit this place. Im fustrated. I spend 300 dollars and a lost all my money.
We went to pick up balloons that were supppsed to be ready for 11am (said so on the receipt) for a party at noon. Not only were they not ready but the employee that mumbled all of his words said o well we just saw an order for 150 balloons that we did not know about so your going to have to wait at least an hour. Well, you knew about our order right?! Whatever, canceled the order and was told to get a refund. When the clerk was refunding the balloon order, he did not refund the whole order. When questioned, he said o well you have these charges on here and I don't know what they are. The only thing purchase was napkins and balloon and the napkins sure didn't cost the $30 additional $ that were in question. We asked to speak to the manager and he said I am the manager and I did not take your order. The MANAGER of the store couldn't read the receipt?! Also, he kept trying to pass blame by saying I didn't take your order?! Is that what all managers are taught at Party City?! This was the last incident that put me over the top. There has been so many other incidents that I just bite my tongue until I get out of there. I will never ever shop at that location again. It can't be that hard to show some professionalism, can it?!

I ordered $75 worth of balloons for my son's 13th birthday party. The original party date was moved due to a snowstorm. I contacted the store in advance and was told that it would be no problem to fill the order at a later date when the party has been rescheduled. After we rescheduled the party (just a couple of weeks later), I went to fill the order and the manager told me that they were out of helium. There was a helium crisis and no store was able to get any from a vendor. I had to ask her several questions in order to get some kind of resolution. I decided to reduce my order and the suggestion she made was that I try to get the balloons blown up elsewhere. I tried other stores but they wouldn't blow up the balloons since I didn't purchase them at their stores. I ended up going to the Party City in Mooresville. They had helium and blew up the balloons. They explained that per my receipt, the North Lake party city charged me for balloons and helium. I was quite angry after all the hoops that I had been overcharged. I would say don't go to the North Lake party city. They were not helpful at all. I should not have had to go through all of the hoop jumping. They should have cared that I spent money in their store and tried to help me to the best of their ability. Very poor customer service. The party city in Mooresville was much nicer and willing to help.
I am busy, and I am tired and was told I can't order over the phone---i was ordering for my husband's 50Th and wanted to call it in, and pick it up tomorrow---really?
Watch your account! They took the amount of order out twice and blamed my bank! What a terrible company and I will never order again!

I ordered a bouquet of balloons, $45, the night before Valentine's day. Everything I ordered at the moment was in stock. On Valentines' day, 3 hours before they were to be delivered as a gift I am alerted that the red heart valentine's balloons were not in stock and that they will still deliver the rest of the order (12 black balloons and an L... IT'S NOT A FUNERAL!). I could not get a hold of anyone to cancel the order except the delivery driver. My friend is now going to be without balloons for Valentine's day (wanted to make him smile since he's been sad the past few years) and I am now out $28 (the rest of the amount I was charged without the Valentine heart balloons) due to Party City's inventory error. I can't even go into the store because I ordered them from California which makes this even more frustrating. I feel as if I've been stolen from. This is not professional. I want a full refund or to have all the balloons I paid for to be delivered to the address listed once they are all in stock even though THE SENTIMENT WILL BE MOOT SINCE IT'LL BE AFTER VALENTINE'S DAY!

I love Partycity so much. I have been shopping at this store for years. The site is really cool. They have almost everything that someone could possibly want to throw a party. They carry such a wide variety of matching table clothes. Cups napkins for all types of party themes. They have such a nice selection for children. They carry all kinds of favors and decorations for any party. Children as well as adult party favors. Streamers in every color you can imagine. Compared to other stores they are reasonable in prices. They also have Halloween costumes for children and adults to. I love the wedding things they have. There balloons are really cool. Buying from them is very easy and the products are what they show. They stand buy all there party supplies. If you have to return something that you changed your mind about, refunds are easy. Because I may be getting married soon I have been shopping for a cake topper. The toppers they have are really cute. I especially like the one with the just married couple in the little car. The Hollywood theme party items are really neat. The candy buffet with the different colored jordan almonds to match any theme. I think are really cool, I like the wedding shower favors a lot. The wedding bell candies are very nice. Since I am planning my own wedding and want it to be a day I will never forget I want things perfect. If I choose what I want for my party then no one can make mistakes when getting my supplies. If I make the mistake I can send it back myself to Partycity. I have been using this store for many years. I have never had a bad experience with them. I will always shop at Partycity for anything that has to do with party needs. I hope this site is helpful for someone. People following you around and around but NO help so annoying too racist and not friendly place to shop
We went to that store to do some shopping on Tuesday 12/28/21 around 04:35PM and while we were standing in the checkout line to pay/exchange the items we had, 3 police officers came and arrested my husband accusing him of stealing. We were in shock and asked what was going on and the manager stated that he saw him on camera stealing. We asked him how? Since we were still in the store standing in the checkout line with those items to pay/exchange those items. That's how we found out that that manager watched my husband on camera for few seconds, did not take the time to watch the entire video, did not ask his employee what him and my husband had discussed prior to my husband getting those items, he did not take the time to actually see if he will get out of the store without paying what he had, but that manager literally did a racial profiling on my husband, jumped to quick conclusion and called a police on a good citizen shopping in his store, standing at the check out line like every body will normally do to pay for things you got from the store. We are so traumatized from that experience. That manager did not even apologize after the cashier told him that he actually said it was ok for my husband to get the items he preferred and to bring them to him for the transaction. That manager threatened my husband by telling him that party city is a private business and that him the manager has the right to decide who can shop in his store and who can't. That manager was so rude and we are wondering how can somebody with that manner and personality can be a manager at a store like party city. I really hope he gets some diversity training, de-escalation training, critical thinking, I can only name few. I was there with him and I witnessed the whole drama unfold, it was very sad because we know that's how things happen and usually bad things. We really hope this helps every person of color shopping at that store.
Never order from party city online as you will never get your order. Worst company ever. Unbelievably disorganized.

I placed a large order online since they have no store near me, for some reason when I paid with my Apple. Pay it was shipping to a store in another state instead of my home. I tried immediately to contact customer support every way possible. They didn't open until later. Once I talked with them. They said they would put in for a cancellation, would I like them to resubmit my order with the correct address. I said no I would do it since I had something else to add. I didn't get a reply until the next day from another customer service agent via email, only to be told I couldn't cancel it and I would have to return the items to the store to get a refund. I stated yet again that I can't retrieve them or return them to a store since it's not one near me. I was told to track the items and once they were deliveeed they could issue my refund. She said that once they were delivered to a store that they immediately would go into their inventory. What!? Why should I have to do anything I asked. Five minutes after I said ok, whatever. They sent another email saying my item was being prepared to ship. This just made me even madder. It hadn't even been sent yet! So I tracked my package, it arrived today and they stated a return would be issued, it would take about a week. In the meantime the new order I placed has come in, with several broken pieces. I looked into returns and they don't take any broken open items. I will never buy from these people again. I sincerely hope my review helps someone. I didn't think to look them up first as I have ordered from them before. This will be my last time. They are horrible people to deal with and apparently just lie to customers.
