I thought they were a local florist because they were listed as "local" when I Googled "florists in (city I entered)___". I placed my order online for a funeral arrangement per the item # on their website. I ordered the deluxe version because that was the picture they used on their website. I didn't want a cheaper vase. The cost was $70 plus tax and a transfer fee of $15.99 at checkout so I wondered why there was a transfer fee when I thought I was calling a local florist so I called them. I was told they were in NJ so they had to contact a local florist. Long story short... they only told the local florist to give me a $65 vase. They did not give them their website item # so they could verify which arrangement and did not tell them NO flower substitutions which they told me they did. I was mortified at the cheap flowers sent to the funeral home. I expected roses, larkspur, lilies, greenery but they sent only 2 lilies and the rest were carnations. Their substitution policy states they would use same or greater value flowers if promised ones were unavailable. When are carnations of same or greater value than roses! I complained to the local florist and was told their side of the story and promised a $30 refund which would have to go through Patricia's Petals. They only offered me a $21 credit but I argued that was not acceptable and did get the full $30. However, none of this makes up for the embarrassment of the pitiful vase sent on my behalf to the family member. When I spoke to the local florist, they told me they were out of roses! What kind of a florist runs out of roses and stays in business! The first picture is what was sent and the second picture shows what I was promised.
