I searched for a free pdf editor. PDFSimpli was returned in the results. To use PDFSimpli a payment is needed. Either Google or PDFSimpli generated a misleading result. I did use PDFSimpli paying for their 14 day plan. I find PDFSimpli cumbersome and rather featureless compared to other commercial pdf editors. I will not renew.
I booked the option of updating an existing pdf ONCE and payed 1.95€ via Paypal, which was correct.
About 2 weeks later pdfsimpli has charged my Paypal account with another 49,95€.
Pdf simply must have somewhere a hiden option which you click and then you have suddenly a n abonnement. I have to see, how I can get out of this number now. Better be careful with the service of pdfsimply

I was charged $100 when it displayed a $1 fee. I am sure I missed the small writing somewhere that showed the $100 charge. I called and spoke with * who was not well spoken but well spoken enough to be extremely rude. She refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor and when I asked for her name again, she refused and said "I already gave it to you, if you don't know it, that's your problem". I said whoa!, that's not how you talk to customers and she clearly did not care. I advised of the charge and how it was done by my underage daughter. She said I need to do a better job of watching my kids and it's not her problem my daughter got a hold of my card. I then hung up and reached *. * immediately started raising her voice telling me I already called in and there is nothing more to explain, she then said I received a credit today already and nothing else would be done. I advised the credit was a partial, not full credit and it was on the 31st. She would not confirm when I asked her. * continued to yell at me and said I am no longer welcome to speak to anyone by phone and if I wanted to communicate it would need to be by email and she hung up. * and * hate their job, that much is clear. They are clearly young and unprofessional and I sincerely hope management will address them as this is no way to communicate. Do not use pdfsimpli, you will be treated like a middle school child. Worst experience yet!

First, your account was billed $49.95 every 4 weeks, not $100 at once. As explained during your call, these charges were made in accordance with the subscription terms you agreed to on February 14th, 2025, which were sent to you by email the day you signed up. You were charged appropriately after not canceling the trial.
Our agents tried their best to assist you and even issued a partial refund of $45.66 as a courtesy. Despite their efforts to help, you and your father chose to be aggressive, disrespectful, and insulting towards our staff. After reviewing the call recordings, it is clear that our agents tried to remain calm and assist you further, while it was you and your father who escalated the situation. Our agents did not yell at him at any point; it was Carissa’s father who began raising his voice and belittling our staff throughout the call.
Additionally, the claim that the account was created by a "12-year-old" is untrue. The account was registered by you and used for college coursework. Our agents also offered to escalate the issue and provided you with the appropriate support email (support@pdfsimpli. Com) so that a different department could review your case further — you refused to engage respectfully and instead chose to mock our staff.
We must emphasize that our agents are people too and deserve to be treated with respect. Being a "customer" does not give anyone the right to be verbally abusive or nasty toward them. Harassment of our employees is something we take very seriously and will not tolerate.

I paid for the one time use and then was charged a monthly subscription fee. Then I got a refund for it and they charged me again the next month. Except the second time they used my credit card. How did they even get my credit card information?

Gentleman was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional during the cancellation process of my auto renewal.
I installed the app, the app categorically wouldn't change the Word document into a PDF. The app wasn't loading and kept crashing. I still paid £1.98 for the privilege. I then uninstalled this horrific app 20 minutes later. They somehow managed to set me up on a £49.99 a month payment plan, the first installment taken before I even knew they had signed me up to anything. The agreement was for 98p. Absolutely horrific, don't fall for it.

Once they got my account information they set themselves up with a 49.95 per month recurring payment and refused to return my money I did not authorize until I canceled my PayPal dispute. Canceling would have left me with no recourse had they not returned my money which they still have not returned.
