Unclear Marking Criteria and Frustrating Experience
I took the PTE exam three times and completed two mock tests, and I'm extremely disappointed with the entire process. The marking criteria are vague and seem deliberately designed to confuse test-takers. Despite consistent effort and improvement, the scores remained unpredictable and inconsistent.

Their so-called "mock tests" are practically useless—they fail to reflect your actual performance in the real exam and do little to guide you on how to improve. PTE seems more interested in draining test-takers of their money with ineffective resources rather than genuinely supporting their progress.

I requested a refund for a duplicate order (Order #*******) over two weeks ago, and I still haven't received my money back. Despite repeated follow-ups, the customer support team keeps pushing the deadline, asking me to "wait 7–10 business days" and then "just 2 more days" with no resolution in sight.

If you're looking for a transparent and fair assessment, I would NOT recommend PTE. Save your time, effort, and money for a test that actually values its candidates.

I recently encountered an issue while attempting to sit the PTE Academic test. Upon arrival at the test center, I was informed that my name did not match the records, as only one of my last names was displayed. My full name, as presented in my passport, has been accepted by various authorities, including immigration, federal matters, national security, and airlines. It is unreasonable that the PTE system failed to recognise a document that has been internationally accepted.
At the test center, I was initially offered a solution to reschedule the exam for the following week. However, I was informed in the next day when called to reschedule that this option was no longer available and that I would have to pay again to rebook the test. This sudden change is unacceptable.
Also, there is delay in updating my details and the lack of immediate resolution at the center (seems like it would have been easy to add my 'necessary' second last name) are both unprofessional and indicative of a failure in their system and policies.
Upon contacting their support line, I was unable to receive a clear explanation of the resolution for my case. I asked for clarification several times and they refused to do so. Each attendant gave me entirely different information and at all times, failed to answer my actual questions. The lack of transparency and refusal to clarify the situation is unacceptable.
I formally requested either a full refund or a rescheduled exam free of charge. This request is based on the following grounds:
System Error: Failure to accept an internationally recognised document.
Inadequate On-Site Resolution: Failure to provide a solution at the test center.
Miscommunication: Providing false or inconsistent information regarding the resolution process.
Lack of Transparency: Failing to clarify the applicable policies and the final decision.

They refused to address, without any further clarification, simply answering 'it was not going to happen'. Therefore I hereby look for attention to this matter so I can potentially reach a resolution.
