I would like to start my comment by thanking Thalia, who works at Peoples Jewellery located in Hill Crest Mall, for helping me choosing the perfect Christmas gifts. She helped me taking the correct choice of gift based on my relative's personality, age group, and character. Thalia is a very professional person who can definitely answer all your questions and fulfill your request. I highly recommend her.
I would never go back to Peoples Jewellers store. In the Scarborough Town Center the Ladys tried their best to fix the problem and I Paid what I initially agreed with.
People's Jewellers Georgian mall, Barrie. Terrible service, left waiting, people being served who just got there when others were waiting. Staff wasn't interested in me when she found out my price range. She didn't stop to think about whether I would be a return customer later. I won't be. Went to Charmed diamond and the service was 100% better. Will definitely return to Charm. Peoples made me feel like they didn't want to wait on me. Not a problem they won't have to.

My ring that I have had for 14 years has had stones fall out twice.
I have already paid $300.00 to repair it 4 years ago and now they want another $800.00 to repair the ring as ALL clasps need fixing.
The warranty honestly covers nothing and if you do not take your ring in every six months its completly void.
Awful.
Unfortunately 1 star is as low as you can go. They recently closed out local store which means a lot of folks who purchased from Peoples are high and dry on their maintenance which was a big selling point. Next store is a several hour commute, which isnt practical for many. Its incredibly frustrating as we paid a bit for lifetime maintenance.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid them!
Went to People's Bramalea City Centre and wanted to buy a watch. Found it. At checkout I was asked for my phone number. I replied I do not give it out. The clerk replied - then I cannot sell you the watch! I said good bye then and left very upset! I called customer service and all the girl said was - we collect information on those who purchase!
I am totally never ever going to Peoples again!
What a stupid policy! Are we in a country where we need to provide ID to purchase things!
No!
I brought in my wedding rings to replace lost small diamond.I was quoted 1000$ by phone.I waited a long while to hear from them so i went in to store to see what was up with my rings and they were there already.I did not receive call that rings were ready. I was then told it would be 1800 plus dollars and tax. This is not right! I had no choice to pay or else leave my wedding rings there (this year marks my 30th anniversary). Will not be going back!
I bought my fiancé a ring. Five months later a stone fell out. People's says anywhere from 30-180 days to complete the repair under warranty. They will not even hazard a guess as to when it may be done. A month later, we checked on the status of the repair. They had no information on the status and were not willing to check. We are now on a hunt to try and find someone who can tell us what's going on and when we will get his ring back. Absolutely the worst service I've ever had. Do not shop there.
Tip for consumers:
That the quality is poor and it takes up to 6 months to get the ring back after repairs

I purchased a pair of Disney (Minnie Mouse) earrings from People's Jewellers. I just spoke with a clerk and they want me to pay the full price of earrings to get it repaired or they would give me a store credit for half of the price of the earrings. Only if I can show the receipt. I purchased them on line and do not have the receipt any longer. They have proof on their computer but that apparently isn't good enough. My granddaughter wore them once to the Disney show and had a nap with them on. The bow fell off after one day. I would suggest to all to rethink any purchase from People's jewellers. They do not stand behind their products at all. Where is the customer service? Definitely not at People's Jewellers. I have purchased many things in the past. I would never purchase anything from People's again. GOOD LUCK to anyone purchasing anything from them if they run into a problem. I would give them a rating of zero.
Hudband bought me a necklace from Peoples for our anniversary on April 21,2021. Brought in today and asked for a repair coz it broke. So I found out that if I didn't buy the lifetime warranty, I have to pay for the repair which is $70+GST. Life time warranty is $139.00 with GST. Can u imagine it broke less than a year and I have to pay for repair? We're not sure if we did bought the warranty. So we either pay for the Repair or warranty, so we ended up paying the warranty. What kind of policy is that? There should be a free fix within a year. Not satisfied with the service. I should have trusted the review saying that The same necklace broke right away. I'm just disappointed. Not buying from
People's jewellers anymore. Not good customer service and crappy policy of 60 days free repair, what jewelry will broke in just 60 days? Unless you break it intentionally, quality issue or wear it everyday.
Tip for consumers:
Please buy jewelry somewhere else but NOT at Peoples Jewellers

My "sterling silver" ring changed colour but People's would not even allow an exchange. AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. It's a shame that the company is named "peoples" when that's the last thing on their priority list. Four of my friends all planned to get engaged, and asked me how I liked my ring. I told them to never choose Peoples (this means the company will also be losing out on some amazing business).
Tip for consumers:
Their product is fake. It changed colour (this ring was also not cheap). Please avoid ever purchasing from here! There are plenty of companies that offer way better service and quality.

Hello all,
Just thought everyone needs to know this. Once you get your ring sized down and in future you wish to have it sized up again, even with a warranty, you will be required to pay if you want the original look of the ring to remain.
Meaning, the ring will be "thinned" out, not brought back to it's original state as Peoples have sold it.
So think twice before sizing down, if you wish to change fingers, or gain weight etc. The original look of the ring will change as the goldsmith will be required to thin it out, eg. Stretches it out. Versus changing it back to it's stock size making it look they way it used to when sold.
This is something that is not stated to the consumer when they are encouraged to buy an extended service plan that states the consumer can size up or down 2 sizes or when they want anything sized. In the past the rings were sized nicely to their original state but this is no longer the case.
My husband got me a new ring and it needed to be sized down one size. We were told a date it would be back. That was almost a month ago so we are heading to 75 days for a sizing. We could have rebought the ring online and selected the size within a week.
Tip for consumers:
Be very very patient if you have the warranty and need anything done. It might take 4 months.

Don't buy your jewellery at Peoples Jewellers because they are selling really poor quality, I brought a diamond ring there. After one year, the the diamond fell off. Brought back to store to have it fix, the sale person said it's not cover by Peoples because I did not bring back the ring for inspections every 6 months. When I brought it the sale person told me that diamond is a life time warranty with Peoples Jewellers. I told the sale person that inspection or not inspection, the stone still fell when the ring is poor quality.
Today was the first time I used their website for purchases. I found their site easy to navigate and they had a large amount of stock to pick from. It was great that I could enter what I was looking for in the search bar and it narrowed it down to exactly the type of jewelry I was looking for. They had fantastic photos and details and I was able to find just want I wanted very quickly. It was even on sale. Even check out was easy. No hidden cost. Everything was easy peasy! I will definitely go back to their site for more orders.
Tip for consumers:
No thank you.

Not sure what you mean by what products I ended up using. However I ended up purchasing earrings?
I ordered a necklace for a gift online in May and was initially told there might be a small delay in delivery. When I received the email confirmation, it stated June 30th. It took over an hour to receive the notification so cancelling it was not an option. Online chat and customer service have been unavailable since May. Now we're in July and I have received 2 different stories on when I might get the necklace... I can't believe either simply because both were guessing. I understand with Covid, things slowed down but I received something from Scotland within 2 weeks and I'm waiting over 2 months for a Canadian order? DON'T consider ordering online, zero communication, beyond unreasonable delays and very little assistance!
I purchased a wedding set in 2020 November because of life the ring wasn't given to my girl until July 2022 I had the brand new ring sized today the stone fell out they won't warranty it because the ring wasn't inspected every 6 months. Rude employees.
Bougth an expensive necklace which broke in two months. I was skeptical when it came with a made in Taiwan sticker still on it and had a cheap look to it. Really horrible quality for the price. Customer service doesn't care. Do yourself a favor and go to a local and reliable jeweler. You'll get better quality for your money anywhere but at people's
Horrible customer service, it is always the customer's fault for everything. In December 2020 I went to their store in Cross Iron Mills Mall. Ring was fine at the time, but has lost diamonds several times in the past and had to be repaired. This time we were told they were going digital, we no longer need to bring documents of the lifetime warranty, it all went under a telephone number. Normally they would fill out the document and give us a receipt, but this time she did not give us anything. This made sense at the time, due to the pandemic. But off course, in six months as we were due to check the ring again in June 2021 they had no record of us going there since 2019. Lady in Sunridge Mall was extremely rude, she absolutely refused to check a telephone number and only eventually checked my papers. But even before cheking them she told me I had to pay for repairs and this time the ring had lost a diamond, again.
Hi. I had a pleasant experience in People's Jewelry Store at Metrotown branch. Ms. Jessica Ng was so accommodating and very helpful to my queries. I went there for my every six month check up of my jewelry. She was so patient in removing the tangles in my necklace. She really checked on the diamonds and cleaned my two sets of jewelry well! For next visit, I recommend that you look for Jessica Ng.
My ring bent and lost diamonds just over a year after buying it. Go in to get it fixed. Get turned away or pay to replace each Diamond because we weren't notified we had to come in every 6 months for a Diamond check to be covered under warranty. Then we were told to leave and come back when the manager would be in but they were uncertain what day he would be back. The sales person just shrugged her shoulders and said she couldn't do anything for us.
We will never go back. Take it as a lesson learnt.
Peoples has lost my return and will not refund my money. UPS picked up at my house to be sent back to their returns department and now its missing. People's will not look into their refund center and UPS says talk to the store. Don't shop with People's not worth it the frustration and now we are out our money!
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy from People's shop anywhere else!

I ordered a item from the on line sale that came on the phone. I created an account, ordered and paid for the item. It was normally $129.99 on sale for $29.99. For some reason my order disappeared. I contacted a chat rep and tolled that the item is no longer available on line any more, only in the store. I was tolled that they couldn't do anything for me and basically cut me off. Now I check the price on line the same item is now regularly $169.99 on sale for $129.99 just 4 days later. I don't know what game they a playing with pricing but it dose not look like they play an ethical one by adjusting prices like that. I refuse to give Peoples anymore business on line or in store. They got a one out of m only because there is no zero rating.
We purchased a ring for our daughters graduation and she didn't want to wait to have it sized by people's so we went to a local company this jeweller butchered my daughters ring and stole a small diamond which we had to retrieve from him. After all this happened I went to People's just to look at what the ring was supposed to look like and the manager asked if we needed help. I explained what had happened and she quickly exchanged the ring for a new one without even having the recipt on us. If you need a jeweller see People's.
Terrible experience trying to get a refund for goods returned via their website. Their 5 days to process and 7 days to refund is not the truth - it's actually 30 days to process plus an additional 7 business days to refund... I'm still waiting for mine. Also no ACTUAL humans to speak to.
Bought a 3799. 00 bracelet for a birthday gift for my husband, now it is 1779. 00, and I can't return it or get my 2000. 00 back because it is over 30 days but not 60 - had to order early to make sure I got it, and couldn't get it from the stores cause they are closed, and now they won't honour the difference.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t buy from Peoples Jewelry - they are taking advantage of covid - and not giving enough time for any issues.

I bought an $800 dollars ring for my wife to give her as a gift and i had ordered it online.
The package came damaged.
When i called peoples and comllained about it. They said well its not our fault and is the ring damaged?
I said i am not an expert but would like to have it inspected. The lady on the other end said why... when its not damaged. I said i dont know that so i would like to have it inspected. She refuseed to and said its *******@UPS fault for damaging the box.
No one is taking any responsibility. I dont want this product anymore.
