Photobucket has a rating of 1.2 stars from 211 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Okay there was something seriously wrong with Photobucket. It was slow, clunky, and images kept disappearing and re-appearing. However, I contacted them and they told me to log into their new site. I did, and it looks much better and seems responsive enough. (My old rating was a 1 star, but I am editing it now to 5 stars because they obviously put in some effort to make this site work again)
If your not baby sitting it, it logs you out and resets, I had 8000 pictures it said I had 5000 left, then this morning it went back to 7500. People need to do better with these programs we live in a fast past society I should not have to state st my phone all day waiting for pictures to download. Such a waste of time I hate baby sitting

I will personally pop a champagne cork when these greedy bastards go out of business. $400 per year?! You have GOT to be kidding me. This attempt at robbery and extortion has ruined literally thousands of forums -- which cannot be repaired. Screw these people! F
Im again shocked at how PB is pushing to get more money from us I hardly use it anymore. The site has been having lots of trouble with features not working. Images being removed from your web sites. And no way to contact them works.
Suck isn't a strong enough word... blackmail is a great word... our pictures are hosted for UC Davis's children's cancer center... keep it I have the originals... only hurting those in need with your greed. Poor business plan... idiots at the helm.
PRO account claims no advertising, but I am blanketed with pop-up ad every time I try to get on.
"it is an internal promotion" support tells me. Don't play semantic games. Photobucket has the kiss of its parent corporation, News Corp (Fox News) all over it when it comes to unethical.
Years of helping people with images across many forums gone overnight. Hijacked and held for ransom. Pay or nobody sees your photos. I'll be honest, it would not have bothered me so much if they actually made it reasonable cost but to shut it down and demand a ridiculous amount to use was absurd. Then to top it off the ability to pull your photos off their site does not work so you have to download one by one. After 4 hours I was able to recover 1201 photos. Closed my account and moved on. Here's to hoping Photobucket closes its doors forever. Wishing them the worst.
Photobucket.com was unbearable for quite some time, but they appear to have listened to their users' complaints and cut back on the ads that were blocking important content. I'm still using the site for free and it's a lot better now. If they leave it this way, I'll stick around.
I've had it with their ads and poor performance. Hopefully I can download my 2600+ pics to a better hosting site. Time to move on. Don't get started with them.
Photobucket, oh what can I say about you? Besides how I instinctively know when an image I click on the internet is your site, because you force the users into your horrible UI and ruin the resolution, not much. You used to provide a decent uploading spot, but your interface and HORRIBLE sluggishness even on my overpowered gaming rig is unacceptable. It's pretty bad when I know an image is from photobucket before anything ever loads. Brand recognition in the worst way possible. Please, stop existing. Stop showing up for work. Stop being something people still sadly use and don't realize they're punishing the rest of us. Go away forever.
All the negative reviews and stories I've read here are true. I finally recovered all my photos back. Painstakingly one by one. Why? Because they purposely won't allow you to download an entire album to discourage you from leaving them. A law firm should put together a Class Action Lawsuit with the company.
This is as bad as it gets. None of my videos load without an error. Most don't load at all. The help is useless. Trying to cancel an account must be done through an email to one person that will give you a free four month offer instead of cancelling the account. I have had several videos not load. Several tags not tagged. I found out later, every title, comment or typing you do, must be instantly followed with a SAVE command. Even that works half of the time. Duplicates end up occurring because an error message i loading was a false alarm, which is rare. Customer support got access to my video and had no help other than telling me I had nice pictures of fish. Remember you have NO PRIVACY with this joker. Avoid like the plague because this website will haunt you.
What a miserable website. Words can not accurately express how pissed off I am about this garbage place. The website is clogged to the brim with huge ads, overly complicated support and help pages with virtually no information that is useful. Album links will randomly stop working on pages, have to constantly log out and log back in.
I was unable to access my paid account for almost 6 weeks earlier this year. It was finally restored and worked okay for a short while. For the last three days though, my images are "now you see them, now you don't". Photobucket is unreliable and and inconsistent and treat their customers in a shameful manner. In the "real" world, this business would not last 2 weeks. It's a damned shame and a sham and I feel like a fool for ever getting involved with these pirates. Run, don't walk away from these charlatans!
Like so many online start ups, Photobucket started out like gangbusters. It was THE site for online photo albums and image hosting. I absolutely loved it... and relied upon it. Five stars back then.
Now it has hopped on the "Gimmick and Greed Train"... imposing too many demands upon its users with too many loading and function complications.
I cannot even get into my old albums and collections.
One star now.
But once again for old time's sake I am averaging these scores for a rating of three stars.
Photobucket, get your act together, darling.

This business is a total scam. Says free hosting, but not on 3rd party sites.
Way to go out of business and I wish the baddest luck to everyone working there.
1:400 dollars to host on another site for 1 year? RIDICULOUS, go to imgur
2: Site is slow as hell, doesn't even deserve to exist
3: Ad ridden site and invasive as it can be, I'm not amused.
I take my business elsewhere.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site, they're parasites and want ransom for your pics.
Photobucket's new policy has ruined years and years of useful forum posts. Without the pictures, these archived posts are completely useless and cause me to have to pay other companies (not photo sharing companies) and people for things I previously could research on my own. And no amount of money I pay to restore MY third photo sharing abilities will bring back the literally hundreds of posts that I've already found stripped of their usefulness in forum searches. Talk about a $#*! move.
Photobucket "used to be" the place on the internet to host your photos. Many forums (especially helpful ones) were based upon fellow users who also posted photos that were hosted by photobucket. I don't know how they got their revenue... but it was their business model that allowed millions to host photos on their site and link directly to them. Fast forward to new ownership and they screwed everyone - many helpful forums now have blurred out pics that are basically useless and people can no longer find helpful items on the internet where it once existed.
PB has locked me out of my account. I've been paying $2.99 per month for a few years. I tried to get in a few months ago. They take weeks to answer an email. I'm still locked out. It's like extortion. They want $$$ to open the account and give me access to my pictures. I would advise against starting any business relationship with them.
This is the worst company to find its way to the internet. There updates say they notified people so they could move or save their photos which is a complete lie. I was never contacted about any changes and frankly didn't even know my email signature was hosted by them. Thank God I was able to get it back and this company will hopefully go by by
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site... worst ever
So every year or so i would sometime log into my photobucket account to relieve the old memories. Until recently, they got greedy and now they only support paid accounts. Really low of them to force me to sign up and pay just to relieve those old memories. I would give zero star if I could.
I am unsure whether it isn't compatible with Google Plus, but everytime I use it it times out, when I manage to get photos up there, it won't allow me to manually order them in story form, keeps going back to the original order. I am ready to take all my many photos out of photobucket and put them elsewhere.
My wife is not very techno-savvy but has a dance studio and takes lots of photos. A friend of hers tried to use photobucket to share some photos she took. My wife was simply overwhelmed with the complexity of getting onto photobucket: setting up the account, etc. She finally drove to the friend's house with a CD in her hand. I am a longtime (20 year) Linux user. I also could not manage to set up an account and download the files. I tried it on Linux, on our Mac, and on Windows 7. Nothing worked. And I don't think it is because I'm not computer literate. On my Mac, I filled out all the fields, but it kept telling me that I had not filled one of them out -- but would not say which one. I finally gave up as well. This household does not seem to be ready for Photobucket. If PB wants the over-50 crowd to use it, they will have to simplify things a lot and make it more robust.
Photobucket is perfect for sharing fun photos of friends - I use photobucket for sharing my crazy fun photos from nights out and pics of my family. What photobucket is not good for is for real photography. I don't find it useful in the same way I would use smugmug. Plus the comment you get on photobucket are pretty useless. Pbase is a much better way to get good comments on your photos. Or maybe photosig.com
I have used this site for a while and no issues. You can share photos and upload and edit them all online. There are a few more sites like it but I tend to use photobucket more. Only issue sometimes when I edit the photo it doesn't show up when I click save. It happens every now and again like a glitch.
I would love to give this website more then two stars but I couldn't. I'll explain why below:
The website is fantastic in general. Great picture quality and would be a fantastic way to share my photos with friends, and even the world!
The fact is the website is so slow and puts me off. I have a good quality and fast home connection, but this website seems to slow my connection down. Further to this, I cannot put photos up onto the website when others are on their computers as their connection disconnects when I put some photos up. Lastly, it takes an average 10 minutes for every 15 photos.
