“It looks like Photobucket has reworked their interface. I will give it 5 stars for now.”

Okay there was something seriously wrong with Photobucket. It was slow, clunky, and images kept disappearing and re-appearing. However, I contacted them and they told me to log into their new site. I did, and it looks much better and seems responsive enough. (My old rating was a 1 star, but I am editing it now to 5 stars because they obviously put in some effort to make this site work again)

If your not baby sitting it, it logs you out and resets, I had 8000 pictures it said I had 5000 left, then this morning it went back to 7500. People need to do better with these programs we live in a fast past society I should not have to state st my phone all day waiting for pictures to download. Such a waste of time I hate baby sitting

I've been using Photobucket since 2004. Over the years they've stuffed more and more ads into their site, while offering nothing new to their customers. They are so bogged down with ads now that the site is utterly useless. I subscribed a year ago to get rid of the ads. They took their payment less than a week ago for this month, then I get an email from Paypal (not Photobucket) telling me that Photobucket cancelled my account. So they took my money and then cancelled my account without having the decency to even tell me! I tried to open their site and got a sleazy full page ad that I couldn't get rid of, even after I closed and opened their page several times and tried it with three different browsers. I emailed their support asking why I was cancelled, they didn't bother to reply. Now I've lost access to over 10 years worth of my own photos and videos.

Tip for consumers:
Just don't.

You just delete old accounts from when you actually mattered?! Why delete the $#*! from the early 2000's? Nobody uses your $#*!ty upload anymore we just want our old memories back. You failed every single one of us. Your lack of sympathy for people's old pictures isn't acceptable. I hope you go bankrupt and lose everything like we lost everything thanks for nothing. Good luck with that

Photobucket used to be a place where old MySpace people could go to host their photos and in order to use HTML to link their backgrounds and such to it. More than just MySpace though! They were a great free site to host photos for personal websites and similar. Now they took an upgrade ad and put it in place of all my photos that tells me that I need to pay nearly $400.00/year to use their services any longer. I pay less than that for Netflix and Hulu each year and they give me unlimited access to videos. Not to mention... why wouldn't you use Google Pics (Right Click - Copy Link Location) to embed it with HTML code yourself? I mean most people can just look up how and do it in 5 minutes. So all my photos are inaccessible after a decade and a half of loyalty to them for photo hosting.

I've been waiting for six weeks and they still haven't shipped it. I keep getting the same BS that they are trying to get in touch with the manufacturer. I called paypal and put in a claim. They now have ten days to send it along with a tracking number or I get refunded. It's sad because I was looking forward for my 16x20 canvas picture.

My wife is not very techno-savvy but has a dance studio and takes lots of photos. A friend of hers tried to use photobucket to share some photos she took. My wife was simply overwhelmed with the complexity of getting onto photobucket: setting up the account, etc. She finally drove to the friend's house with a CD in her hand. I am a longtime (20 year) Linux user. I also could not manage to set up an account and download the files. I tried it on Linux, on our Mac, and on Windows 7. Nothing worked. And I don't think it is because I'm not computer literate. On my Mac, I filled out all the fields, but it kept telling me that I had not filled one of them out -- but would not say which one. I finally gave up as well. This household does not seem to be ready for Photobucket. If PB wants the over-50 crowd to use it, they will have to simplify things a lot and make it more robust.

I used Photobucket for years, before having the ability to use virtual storage. Now it's an effort to even log into my account in order to get to my photos, and they don't make it easy to download my photos to use another service or put them on my own PC. They keep trying to force me into a plan and won't let me into my own account.

And I can't even navigate from page to page on a regular basis. What would I be paying for? Absolute garbage.

I just deleted my account with Photobucket.com, after 10 years of use. They USED TO BE GREAT, but now, for whatever reason, they have become one of-inf not -the WORST photo host website I've ever used! Pop-ups galore; 3 have to be clicked, and or closed before even being granted access to my account, and all of the pop -ups are garbage, and/or disgusting clickbait images. I just spent hours removing all of my photos, and transferring them to my computer. I will never do that again... and I will NEVER use Photobucket.com ever again either. Lagging, full of pop-ups, and now demanding money to share MY images that are on their website? I don't pay to image share... especially to a website that once claimed to be a FREE -photo hosting site. Bye, Photo-f*** it!

Terrible customer service! I ordered some prints of photos, which never came to my address. I asked Photobucket customer support for help three times, and received no answer aside from "this isn't our problem". When I finally gave up hope of receiving my photo and asked for a refund I again received a "this isn't out problem" answer. Very disappointed.

The redesign of this site has made it drop from one of the BEST resources on the Internet to one of the worst. Don't be surprised if it folds quickly! If you have photos on there now, I'd suggest you get copies of them quickly! There changes help the site maximize its tracking ability and up its page views, but at the GREAT expense of its usability. While these changes may help pull in a little more revenue, its going to backfire big-time as users leave in droves and its reputation plummets.

I paid $99 to be a member of Photobucket. The next day I noticed that I was unable to post my pictures on travel web sites and that they wanted $400 for that service.

So I immediately contacted them and said I wanted to cancel and get a refund. It took them 10 days to clarify that I could not cancel though they were useless.

I had to dispute the charge and will complain to the Colorado Attorney General's office, as they are in Denver. A very dishonest company.

What is the point of uploading photos to the internet if I can't share them? I don't want to just send people a link to a photo. I want it inline with the article I'm writing to show someone how to do something. Now that they have disabled being able to post photos on message boards I would say there is ZERO value to Photobucket. I can't believe they would do this to the internet... Now whenever I do a search for how to change the oil in my car and someone has made a helpful review of the process using photos hosted on Photobucket all I'm going to see is their ransom message asking for $400 to allow people to share their knowledge with others. I hope the owners of Photobucket get cancer from all the negative energy that is focused their way right now. This was such a $#*! move...

Terrible business practices! For years I stored precious work photos on Photo Bucket. Nearly 400 pics. Then one day without telling anybody they change there policy in the dead of night as it were and started charging for their services. The catch is... you can't have your property/Pics back or take them off our site (Download to your computer) unless you PAY US! I don't deal with domestic terrorist. I don't pay ransoms. You want my pics? You GOT THEM! DOWN WITH PHOTO BUCKET!

They say I had this Photobucket for a year. I had no idea... it's not on my computer.
Without any notice. No email... nothing... they renewed for $99.99. Although I called within a few weeks, definitely not 30 days... to tell them I did not have it, did not use it or did not want it, they said NO REFUNDS! NONE. Regardless! How do they get away with such abuse! At least they could let you know a payment was coming up. Nothing! I have no need for them as I use Shutterfly.

I had been using photobucket for image hosting and was happy until I found one day that all my images were replaced saying I had to pay to get them back. I will not tolerate a website that uses such tactics to get money. Never using photobucket again!

Warning: do not upload images that you do not have backups of or you may have a hard time getting them back.

Have been asking for months for them to activate the album download feature, but keep getting the same song and dance, "feature is broken", "we are working on it", "please wait for the new website to launch".

I placed an order for a custom blanket for a Christmas present on the 5th of December. ( Today is the 19th) I started worrying about where this blanket is since it hasn't arrived yet and I have not heard from Photobucket. They have the order on hold and never informed me. They took the money out of my account on the 5th, but won't even get in touch with me. The only phone number you can find for them is *******800 and it is an automated answering machine that gives you an email address and then hangs up. I can't speak to anyone to find out what is going on. I am now fighting to figure out how I can get the money back since I paid with a debit card and the bank doesn't refund debit purchases very easily. I may be out a lot of money and no product. Please don't ever use photobucket.com.

I had about 50 links I just removed that where tagged with a Waring thay no longer offer free third party links for free. They wanted 400 dollars up front! Not Monthly! Took me two days to remove this defacing of my website. Was great until they became greedy. No Waring about the policy change. Their many other image hosing services that are free or charge a lot less and won't deface your webpage.

Tip for consumers:
If you want to pay for their overpriced service you might like it. They would love to put other image hosting companys out of business . Then you would have no choice!

So because your site is old, slow, outdated, and therefore you're losing your customer base, you decide to remove 3rd party hosting and try to charge $399 for the site that's always been free?! First off, the site is so tastelessly infested with pop-ups and ads that it's entirely unusable without an ad blocker, and still lags way beyond what's acceptable. Nobody is going to pay that kind of exorbitant price after your site has been steadily declining for so long and there are countless other free photo sharing sites like imgur. Lastly, and this is the biggest issue, you have singlehandedly ruined YEARS upon years of invaluable forum content, sabotaging the entire internet because you went down a sore loser. $#*! you.

What a scam, the quicker these extortionists disappear into the ether the better. Provide a free hosting service then when critical mass is reached attempt to extort $400 / month without warning for what was once free. Great business model same used by drug pushing scumbag pimps on their girls.

Photobucket forces their logo on my old photo and then demands money if you want your picture back. Basically holding my photo hostage for a ransom. And not just a lttle bit of money, more like $400. They could have gone about this a number of different and better ways, but they chose to blindside people and their property with a seemingly unbreakable link to their spam. I guess I will have to find my original photo before I uploaded it to their godawful, ad-polluted site. This company was cool for 5 minutes many years ago and I probably would have paid money back then, but now you can forget it. They will never get one penny from me. There are so many other great alternatives now. This is a shameful bunch of scoundrels. Hope they go under.

PB used to be the PREMIERE image hosting site like 10 years ago. And it still operates like it's 2009. It is complete shet on mobile. It is complete shet on a desktop. Nothing on the site works correctly or consistently. I have a couple hundred photos hosted there. It's taken me 3 HOURS just to delete 80 of them because pb keeps randomly unselecting some and restoring whole pages of previously deleted pics. Why would anyone pay for that kinda crap?

There are thousands if not millions of images that were hosted on Photobucket, now not showing up on thirdparty forums, blocks and websites. So much content has now become almost useless, and in some cases completely useless. They were already getting ad revenue, but that just wasn't enough for this soulless, blood sucking company.
