“It looks like Photobucket has reworked their interface. I will give it 5 stars for now.”

Okay there was something seriously wrong with Photobucket. It was slow, clunky, and images kept disappearing and re-appearing. However, I contacted them and they told me to log into their new site. I did, and it looks much better and seems responsive enough. (My old rating was a 1 star, but I am editing it now to 5 stars because they obviously put in some effort to make this site work again)

If your not baby sitting it, it logs you out and resets, I had 8000 pictures it said I had 5000 left, then this morning it went back to 7500. People need to do better with these programs we live in a fast past society I should not have to state st my phone all day waiting for pictures to download. Such a waste of time I hate baby sitting

A convenient tool for placing images to forum pages (the ones that do not still support the function themselves). Could have a little less ads, those are annoying even with adblock or such.

The following is a message I sent to Photobucket.

"Well, after receiving an e-mail telling me my account expired, I thought it was odd. I was on a monthly $2.99 plan as I have been for at least 5 years.

So, I logged in to discover that you (Photobucket) once again, very covertly, cancelled all current subscriptions, raised prices, and mandated a yearly paid in full amount. Mind you, I discovered this after 30 minutes of wading through a mine-field of FULL PAGE click-bait ads that quite LITERALLY make your site absolutely unusable. I guess someone thought this was a genius way to force people into paying. That's actually just extortion.

I don't mind paying for the service, really. I've done it for many years. Photobucket, have some class. Be professional and go to a membership only format with a clean inviting welcome mat. Right now you (Photobucket) are just garbage using extortion as a sales tactic.

Unbelievable. Unprofessional. Absolutely unacceptable.

Needless to say, you will not be receiving another payment from me in any amount.

By the way, (and I'm sure you (Photobucket) already know) I'm not alone in this opinion. Good luck retaining customers, let alone attracting new ones."

Tip for consumers:
Photobucket is a scam!

When Photobucket realises they're stuffed, they'll come grovelling back with fresh promises. Will the public forgive them? We may, just so our pics can be shared again, but we won't forget.

Was a good site once, even though there were too many ads. Now I cannot access my own photos without paying - I call this theft, or unjustifiable demand for money with menaces.

The epitome of "Extortion"!
The once about a time, best code generator site
Now you have to fight for everything, just to retrieve your old photos
Got an account pre-2008 in good faith, now they hold my Video & Photos Hostage
Would love to see a class action lawsuit against them, this is opposite of love thy neighbor
I'm so upset losing so many memories I now can't share, w/o paying the ransom, they can go to Hell
(This review sugarcoated to keep it PG) ~ God bless you all who are victims too, and refuse to pay the ransom

Watch all of their loyal users leave when asked to pay $400!

Other free hosting services elsewhere that run much nicer interfaces, less ads too. Their mobile app was shocking too.

I would have rated this company a zero but that wasn't an option. I've used photobucket for years and never had a problem until they upgraded their terms a while ago neglecting to inform users that what was once a free forum to access pictures uploaded to photobucket would now require a $399 annual fee. I may have lost some of my pictures but I refuse to pay this absolutely ludaccrious fee to this capitalistic scumbag of a company.

At one point, I enjoyed hosting my photos here, because it was an easy free site that I could use easily to save my photos and post them elsewhere. Then they decided to start pushing their paid accounts - fair enough - but then got to the point where they decided to severely chop back what you could host for free, and hold the photos hostage more or less until/unless you do upgrade.

I am now constantly getting emails about "Upgrade or manage your photos or maybe lose them! (This has been for multiple years now" and yet their interface to actually DO any sort of managing is just... terrible. You have to download any photos you want to keep one by one and then delete them. Without any actual, you know, clear thumbnail/image so you can really see what it is and make sure you need it or want to save it. I have waded through downloading some but I had enough photos saved here that I just haven't yet been able to deal with all the photos, and it's no end irritating to have them attempt to hold my own photos against me like this.

Just... avoid.

I have a large personal website and used Photobuckets 'Pro' paid plan to display a thumb on my website and then if a site visitor wanted to view a higher resolution photos. All they had to do was click it. Like here on earth after last century (2000's).

I only update the site with 1 massive update per year. And went to update it and was shocked! To find thet ALL of my photos had been reduced in size WITH oooohhhh by the way. A new photobucket introduced file-name!

If you want your photos fcuked with... by all mean. Choose Photobucket!

I was a customer since Photobucket first started online and I had no issues with my account for many years. One day I went to log into my account and got a message that they no longer offered free accounts and if I wanted my photos I had to purchase a plan for $5. This is ridiculous! I was a customer for many years and this is how they treat you for being a loyal long time customer? I paid the $5 just so I could access my photos and get them removed from their website and then I got another message saying I was over my allowed storage limit and I would have to pay more money to upgrade to a higher plan if I wanted to see my photos. Are you kidding me? I reluctantly paid to upgrade my account. When I was finally allowed to log into my account a lot of my photos were missing! I contacted Photobucket about this issue and they were no help at all. They said that all of my photos were in my account and they do not delete photos from customer's accounts unless they're asked to do so upon deletion of the account. Where did my photos go then?! Who knows. I never got my photos back. So they took my photos hostage and made me pay twice and still didn't let me have access to all of MY photos. This is not a good way to treat your customers! I would stay away from Photobucket for storing photos because they may decide to take them hostage or your photos may disappear and you'll never see them again.

Tip for consumers:
Look for a photo storage service that will protect your photos from disappearing from your account and will help you if something does happen to your account.

Beware! Do not do business with this company!

I signed up with PhotoBucket when they first started in 2003. It was free to sign up and to upload your photos and their terms & agreement stated that your photos would be stored safely and that the company would never delete your photos without your consent. That was apparently a lie. I received an email today with no prior emails from Photobucket that said my account had been "Deactivated " because they "No longer support free accounts." The email said if I wanted my photos back I would have to pay them. I do not think this is legal and it definitely is morally wrong! I had trusted Photobucket because their own terms stated that photos would NEVER be deleted without my consent and nowhere in the terms did it say that my photos would be held hostage by Photobucket suddenly without warning and that I would have to pay a fee for access to my irreplaceable photos which had been uploaded to my account which never required a fee the entire time I had the account since 2003. I have irreplaceable memories in my account of my children, family members & friends that have passed away that are now stolen away from me by this company. How can these people sleep at night knowing they've taken people's irreplaceable memories and stolen pieces of their lives from them? Photobucket gave no prior warning about doing this so that I could download the photos myself and then remove my whole account from their website.Instead they pulled a cowardly move and deactivated my account without notifying me until they had already done it and then had the nerve to demand payment if I wanted my own photos back. Bad business! They deserve 0 STARS!

Tip for consumers:
This company is dishonest and has no respect for their customers! They are in business to take your money and your photos holding them hostage demanding payment if you want them back.

This was my first time using photobucket. The worst worst experience ever. I would not use them ever nor I would I recommend them to anyone. I placed my order on Dec 10 and it stated guaranteed delivery 12/23 if your order is placed before 12/11. I then received a confirmation email and an email stating my shipment was on its way with one tracking number for both items. I received one of my items on time as guaranteed, however the second item didn't arrive.
Then I find out that photobucket only has an email method for customer service inquiries, you cannot speak to anyone. The customer service was horrible, it was pathetic and not helpful at all. This is the response I got from several personnel "we are sorry" "unfortunately delays happen"?
They then sent me a completely different tracking number after that for the item that didn't arrive and when I track it, for 5 days it's been in transit in Denver? I sent photobucket pictures and attachments with the whole guaranteed delivery note on their website when I made the purchase, no one addressed that. All I got was "sorry"
They are very misleading, poor customer feedback and service and the worst part you can't even speak to anyone, it's like they hide behind email communication. I would have rated them a zero if I could, they don't even deserve a 1 star. It's also time consuming placing the order because of all the pop up ads and delays with uploading and the page freezes the pop ups are so annoying just like the customer service.
They suck period.

I can genuinely understand that hosting images costs a huge amount in money and resources, and with so many people using ad-blockers, it's only a matter of time before there is no free image hosting left. However, the way they have gone about changing their policy is disgusting.

Oh yes, you can host images, with them, but if you want to show these images around the internet, i. E. forums, blogs etc., then you now have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to do this. Most people cannot afford to pay so much, and because of this, thousands of websites now appear 'broken' and ugly, and no matter how much they claim that we all had notice of this change, I can't find anyone, including myself, that actually received this notice.

PhotoBucket was always my image host of choice, and I had a feeling that they would change to pay only, but as I was an ad-free member, I didn't think this would affect me. Wrong! My images will only be available for third-party hosting until next year, so all the money and loyalty they've had from me over the years appear to mean very little to them.

The only saving grace is that I will have time to download my images and replace them wherever I have them posted, but this is time-consuming and irritating.

When my images go, so will I!

Unless you got dooped into paying $400 A YEAR, NOTHING works except the intrusive advertisements and pop ups I have tried several times since they pulled that scam to download and migrate to a better company... I tried using Firefox, IE, Chrome... I might even try other things to get my pictures BACK... that they are currently holding hostage.
