The owner of this business is very sneaky. On his web site, he posts alleged "YELP reviews', but doesn't provide a link to 'YELP' reviews, because many of them mirror my abysmal experience. In a nutshell, once he gets your photos, if you don't come to terms, or agree to his upcharges, you may never see your precious photos again. He has done that to many others, and to me. He has $200 from me, but refuses to return my 2 small photos. At one point he wanted $NINE HUNDRED dollars to restore one picture that was in good shape. (I.e. Little to be done). I balked at the price. The $900 included the $200 deposit I paid, $500 to 'restore' a photo in relatively good condition, and another $200 since I was having trouble raising the large price. And left the pix with him for over a year. When I reached out to him, Mark added the $200 'storage fee'. This is not furniture we're talking about. He wanted $200 to store PHOTOS. That's when I went online and discovered all the miserable experiences others have had with him, and how many other people wound up never getting their photos back. (Or getting a piss poor result for a large sum of money). Mark is very smooth talking mind you. He'll come up with all sorts of excuses too, as to why MY case is excusable. But bottom line, He has my 'Return Address Paid for Envelope' and $200 but refuses to send me my 2 little photos back. GOOD LUCK with this crook. Go local, or look elsewhere, but DO be careful to read his REAL reviews.
Tip for consumers:
I wish I had read Mark's reviews before sending him my precious photos. I'm writing this to save someone else the heartbreak of lost photos and/or lost $

I don't have the photos to show you, because the owner of Photograph Restoration of Downers Grove IL, never returned my pictures to me. His location is appropos.. he is a 'downer'.
