We have used Picaboo several times and are very pleased with the design tool and the quality of the printed books. Recently, Picaboo didn't ship out my order when they said they would and my books did not make it to my house before we left on vacation for Christmas -- even though I had paid for 2nd Day Shipping. I had to have a neighbor pick them up off my porch and overnight them to us before Christmas. The good news is that Picaboo refunded us both shipping charges. Because they made up for their mistake we will definitely use this company again.
I have been making books for 10 years now. I usually make the lay flat books so the photos don't get lost in the seam. The books are quite expensive so I always watch for sales. The big issue I am having with these books is that the glue holding the pages together is deteriorating and the pages are coming apart. Unfortunately they only stand behind their books for 30 days. I have spent thousands of dollars on books that will all probably fall apart in a few years….

I ordered once and loved the product, but this year ordered again and they sent the incorrect cards. I have tried to get in touch with them four times now, over more than three weeks, and they keep saying that they are "waiting for technical support". The last time, they just cut off the chat without saying anything.
Stay away!
This is my 4th year of using Picaboo for our yearbooks. Though I had great experiences with them before, this year has been a nightmare. The software will work for about 15 minutes, then it only works sporadically. I've spent about 12 hours doing what should normally take 3 or 4 hours. So disappointing.
Horrible. Customer service is a joke. They want customers to PAY again when something is wrong with the yr book. They blame the school yearbook advisor for their website design flaws. Such a hassle. You might order and luck out but please know, if there is any type of issue, you will be 100% dissatisfied. Just look at the negative reviews.
I ordered Christmas cards that were to be delivered by 12/05. As of 12/06 they are still in the production stage with no information on when they be completed and ready to ship. Terrible customer service that feeds a bunch of canned lines without any actual help or information. I will never order anything from them again.
These guys are the kings of coupon discount scams! They offer great value coupons until you place an order and find out that you'll pay shipping, shipping surcharges in some cases and only one coupon per order--at the end you pay more than most other sites. What good is a free shipping coupon or offer if they won't let you combine it with another voucher you bought? Be careful in buying their coupons!
I purchased a voucher to use on my Christmas cards. I've been trying to construct the card for the last two hours, and I can't get anything to load. Picaboo is the most user-unfriendly site I have ever experienced. So disappointed... in 2010, my photographer made us a family photo book which is absolutely gorgeous. Now, with what is happening, I may just forfeit my voucher and go with another site. Angry, frustrated, defeated. I will not be back to Picaboo.
I have used Picaboo for years because of the ease of the program use, the quality of the finished product and the customer service. Since my last use they have made several program changes that are counter intuitive, eliminating some photo editing options and making previous options difficult to use. 10 clicks now gets you what one used to. They have not updated their help section so the old tutorials just laugh in your face knowing that they are what you really want. Which leaves you having to contact customer care each time for online chat support. And that is just dandy if you happen to be working on your photo book in the middle of a workday because it's on the weekend, you're out of luck. However, when you do reach someone, they are helpful and knowledgeable. So, Picaboo, I don't know why you've made the changes, but go back to the easy and efficient program you used to be. I'm all for change and updates when they make sense.
Absolutely awful. Loading photos took forever. Completely non-user friendly interface. Hit back button accidentally and lost two hours' work, even though the site CLAIMS that projects auto-save every 5 minutes.
I wanted to throw my laptop across the room. Awful. Awful, Awful, Awful. Am considering walking away from the two vouchers I bought on Living Social, simply because I think I'd rather lose the money than have to use this site again. THE WORST.
I've had nothing but issues uploading photos. The order gets scrambled, some photos disappear at random, and I have spent dozens of hours trying to make a book only to leave frustrated and end up making my photo book at mix book instead. More $ but user friendly
I ordered photo books in Dec 4,2017 to be shipped a week before Christmas and paid $200 for rush shipping. On the date they should have been delivered, I had not received any tracking information. I called customer support, and they said that books were still in production and had no idea when they would be finished and shipped. I got refunded $200 in shipping costs, at the very least. These were Christmas gifts and now they wont be in on time! They said delivery dates were just an estimation - event though they charge you those hefty shipping costs.
Their customer service department is inept at best. My book is lost. I had to beg and yell through two phone calls and 4+ chat sessions. And I'm still arguing with them. I have paid for the book. I will probably never get it and not get a refund. Good Luck.
They have the worst customer service. If there is any issue with your product they are slow in responding. I am waiting 1.5 months to get my product which is horrible because it takes a lot of time and energy to make it. I would go with a better site that has a team that can address issues in a timely manner.
Ordered two 11 x 9 photo albums with 64 pages. Overall the quality is pretty good. One has to remember that these albums are a good buy for the price. These are not coffee table books that would cost a small fortune to produce. I had a small hiccup with the cover and was able to resolve the issue by emailing customer care. Will use in the future.
Picaboo has changed its calendar format to something that is useless. A calendar without boxes for each day is not an improvement. I will have no more to do with them. Their rudeness to a customer of 10 years does not
Make sense.
Save your money and go elsewhere! We used a high-resolution image taken by a professional photographer, and it came out looking dark, so much that if we didn't need to send the photo cards out I would pay money to get them done elsewhere. In addition to the photo being very dark, the card itself was not aligned before it was cut, and part of a letter from the heading of the card on the left is cut off while on the right a small strip of white paper appears. Unacceptable! The actual process of designing the cards was annoying--every time you clicked on something, an image of a wood board would process before your eyes until the next screen was ready. Then, lots of unnecessary steps (to align the side of the card, which should just be a template), yet not enough flexibility in centering the actual picture. Horrible, horrible product and experience!
They were offering vouchers for $80 credit for $25. I purchased 3 of them, only to find out that they were charging exorbitant amounts for shipping that made the voucher not worth it AT ALL. I requested a refund for my $75, which took forever to process through customer online chat, and then six weeks later it still hasn't been issues. I'm back in communication with customer care and I've disputed the charge with my credit card company. All in all I've probably wasted 3 hours on this terrible company and will NEVER use them or recommend them to anyone.
I ordered their photo cards and a portion of my name was cut off. I contacted customer support and asked if they could reprint because when I previewed the card online, it did not show my name was going to be cut off. They refused to reprint. They offered a 50% discount towards a new purchase instead. Needless to say, I declined their offer. This was my FIRST and LAST time using Picaboo.com. I will send out those cards to my friends and family with an advisory NEVER to use this company! Complete waste of my money!
Photo panels arrived in terrible condition (pictures were being over cropped and only half of the caption can be seen). Called customer service and they admitted that this was due to a software error. However, they refused to correct their mistakes and asked me to adjust the picture online using the panels I received as a template to guesstimate how much to move the captions! Also, they said they will send me replacement panels only if I pay over $100 for a new order first! Another option is to send all the panels back to them and they will refund to the Groupon voucher I used which can only be redeemed at Picaboo (they even suggested that I could ask Groupon for a refund!) What a joke!
We have been reasonably satisfied with Picaboo products until recently. After spending hundreds of dollars on books for Christmas this year, we given books that had a big black line going through the center pages. We were dumbfounded - how had we missed this when looking through the Preview Mode? We have done many books prior to this with no such problem. When talking to their customer service rep, Steven, we began what turned out to be a negotiation, instead of honoring their 100% guarantee. The truth is, they won't do it so buyer beware. Here is the evidence - the photo on the left is straight out of the Preview Mode and the photo on the right is what we got! Ouch!
Order 4 calendars from Picaboo in first week of December. Arrived two weeks later. Books were out of order, photos also out of order. Called, had to send photos of mistakes they made. Did so by December 15. Was told that they would ship new ones and would arrive by the 24 th for Christmas presents. Have a confirmed email from them! Ha, checked tracking for UPS. Looks like arrival to be 26 or 27th.
Not happy at all. Never again
This has to be one of the most user un-friendly sites on the internet. The Amazonlocal vouchers are rejected, customer "service" is a joke and you will lose hours of your life trying to put your photo book together and check out. A nightmare! I've been burned 3 times now so I will probably remember to stay away from them. Use Photobin or Adorama or Costco--anything but this miserable company.
Ordered my Christmas cards on 12/6 with expediting shipping preference (which I paid for). They were scheduled to be delivered between 12/11 & 12/16. On the 16th I called because they never arrived and my shipping tracking information was never updated. They agreed to reprint, expedite the processing and send next day air. It is 12/21 and I still have not receive them. My Christmas cards will now officially not make it out in time for Christmas even though I originally placed my order on the 6th. No offer to refund or credit me anything and believe me, I asked. I am shouting it from the virtual rooftops! Do not use Picaboo for your printing needs. I get that mistakes happen, but companies need to provide a better customer experience when they do. Never again, Picaboo!

My wife and I have used them for our engagement and wedding day shoots, and the several years we have been married. They have always had great customer service every time I have contacted them. Shipping isn't the fastest, but I am not expecting "prime" shipping like some. We will continue to use for our yearly photo book!
