“Lobster tales christmas 23”

Jeffrey M.
3/7/24

Ordered lobster tails on pinterest Christmas 23. Never heard a damn thing. Money was taken 2 days after ordering from my bank account. Still to this day 3/7/24 haven't heard a goddamn thing and yes I am pissed. Pinterest seems to be a place where criminals can play their games. Pinterest needs to do alot better at policing their website. In my book pinterest sucks real bad!

I enjoy using Pinterest but their customer service is terrible! I had an account under an email address that is now deleted. I tried updating my email multiple times to no avail. I figured there was no need to worry about it and finally gave up.

Well, I got on the account, created a new board, and added about 20 new images. Apparently this is considered "suspicious" activity so they locked my account, changed my password, and said I had to use the email they sent me to change my password and get back into my account. That wouldn't be a problem if they had let me change my email to the new! Now I lost everything on the account because my old email address is deleted.

I contacted Pinterest stating I had saved private boards for my business and I needed access to this account. No response because they don't care. This is absolutely infuriating. What is worse is that this company knows they can treat their users horribly because people aren't going to stop using their services. If there was an alternative to Pinterest I would use it in a heartbeat. Pinterest, start providing good customer service to your users, they're the reason you're now a billion dollar company.

After many years on pinterest, all of a sudden I started getting notices about pins they removed. Most recent came this week saying they deleted one because in contained a sexual nature/porn, supposedly on my "politics and patriotism" board. I have never ever posted a thing on any of my boards with that type of content. In fact I've reported pins that did have that content and pinterest did absolutely nothing about it, the pins weren't removed nor were the users banned. I was told to just "block that user, that way I won't have to see the offensive pins". Pinterest wouldn't tell me or show me which pins they deleted, after repeated request for them to send the deleted pins to me so I would know what I supposedly posted. Needless to say I got nowhere. Get on there this morning and they had completely deleted my entire "politics and patriotism" board. I've asked them who makes the decision to delete pins... got no answer to that question either. This morning I deleted every board and ended the aggrevation of having to deal with the gestapo on their site. They are and have been a complete waste of time for several years. They're "woke" employees get offended at the least little thing if it's a different opinion than what they believe in. One never knows from one week to the next what road they will travel down when it comes to deleting pins.

I loved the fact that I could search anything and save those items to an account. I got involved in some political sites where I made some honest comments. I was blindsided with what they call a "suspension" for "hate speech" I repeatedly requested that Pintrist point out where I made such speech and asked to appeal my "suspension" I received only computer generated responses stating they suspended my account for hate speech. They claim there is an appeal process, but that is untrue. Pintrist has no accountability to anyone as to why they can suddenly terminate your account, call it a "suspension" and claim that the suspension can be appealed. They terminate accounts of people they disagree with and offer no evidence of their claims of violating their code of conduct. Good luck trying to get someone to talk to. I had no luck either through emails or attempted phone contact. Suspension means termination of your account and no further access. No arguing the point or appealing your case. Your terminated. VERY UNFAIR

A few years ago, I was raving on Pinterest, being the owner of a small retail website selling art and jewelry. It represents a good platform to display my wares in an appealing and fun way. I will give them that!
Then, verifying my website address.
Followed the steps; wasn't getting verified. Talked to them and they finally fixed the issue, and I felt like I helped change their company for the better, because now the small business can sit there next to the big guys and be just as viable and official! I had my little yellow checkmark and was good to go.
A few weeks ago, the check-mark disappears! So, I ask them what's up with that and they said the checkmarks are confusing people and double-talked through emails for the next couple weeks. Turns out, I have to be a BIG business, now, in order to have the "official" checkmark on my company's official profile page! My pinterest follower growth slowed down a lot since. This is how I got to 4 stars.
On to 3 stars: So, my marketing team is going about the daily pins, and when we go to pin off the site, it crashes the tabs on my computer now. Pinterest is sending huge amounts of cookies that can slow down or crash elements on your computer (this is not permanent damage, to those not too computer savvy). So, pinterest has to have all other tabs closed and flushing cookies before and after. They are lucky they are getting a 3! (It's still a pretty cool website!)
UPDATE: The cookie issue crashing my computer seems to have been resolved! Thank you, Pinterest! Back to a "4" star rating!

Tip for consumers:
It helps to be Amazon.com for these guys to help you market your website. But, for a free service, a great website, especially for potential customers of fashion, jewelry and art!

When I first started using Pinterest I found it interesting and strangely relaxing. However,
A) Information now on side on pin deflects your concentration from pin and spoils it (Instagram do have their info on side of photos, which is annoying but photos large enough to cope with it better.
B) You used to be able to click on and find who else had pinned your pin but cant do this now,
C) 'More than this' info too near to clicked on pin and totally irrelevant usually to your pin.
D) They seem to want to control the boards by thrusting all these boards at you that I don't want or like.
E) Overwhelmed with adverts.
F)Overwhelmed with pictures from pins from boards I don't follow. For example was sent pins frequently of a celeb am not that keen on and was constantly getting pictures of them. In the end had to block pinners but STILL got pins
G) Help centre is dreadful. Also did feedback today and couldn't send unless I voted on some survey of suggestions all of which either were silly or didn't make sense.
H)The tried it pin I personally find awful, There should be separate area for this.
Finally they really don't seem that bothered about their usersbut unfortunately they may find that is there downfall

So now that I have been on Pinterest for years they have pigeonholed my pins. It's very frustrating. I don't want them to choose what I see, I want to choose what I want to see. Makes sense right?

First of all, I can't believe this site only has two reviews! I almost fainted! Seriously though, I LOVE this website. It's not extremely often that I give a website five stars. I'm a pessimist - I always find something wrong with everything. But with Pinterest, I really can't find anything worth complaining about. ONE thing though, like the other reviews and comments talk about, the whole "Invitation Only" thing is a bit absurd. I don't really see the point of doing that. But thankfully my invite came within a few days, so I really don't have much to complain about. I love this site because it is so incredibly customizable! You can make pin boards on ANY topic you want. You can also search for pins or pinboards on any topic you want, and "repin" other peoples' pins onto your pin boards (you still with me?). You can also "like" items, if you like them but not enough to repin them. This is one of my top websites for inspiration and motivation. I always hoard pins from other boards because I find such awesome stuff that I didn't even know existed! I have a board for DIY projects, rainbows, neons, make up/looks, stuff for the home, typography and photos, beautiful spaces and places, and a few more. It's definitely addicting! Like I said, I'm surprised there are only two reviews on this site! One of my absolute favorites, hands down!

I have been on Pinterest since 2015 and have both business and regular user accounts. Over those years I have been both pleased and disappointed with their "free" service. Knowing that I was but a guest allowed to use their service, I was always very supportive of Pinterest and accepted their unpredictability, such as rolling out changes to their format without warning or even letting their users know what was changed. It's their site and they can do whatever they want with it.
I have put in so much time and effort into creating over 170k Pins that were painstakingly crafted to cater to my audience and potential customers. This has allowed me to have over7M views per month and given me a steadily growing number of close to 100k followers. Those numbers of new followers and views normally continue to increase if Pinterest doesn't change things to make my Pins useless.
However, the one thing that Pinterest can be relied upon to do, is make frequent and unpredictable changes. I have never been notified or even seen a change management blog or anything made available to the public that would inform me on when or what changes were made. Though, the sudden decrease in overall numbers shown in their analytics service is a good indication that they changed things again.
If Pinterest would at least let their Pinners know what they changed, added, removed and how it will impact the Pins I have already created it would greatly improve the overall Pinterest experience. Until something like this is implemented, I can't recommend using Pinterest for anything anymore.

Unless you have a question about Pinterest that can be answered by reading general statements about narrow subjects, the "help center" is useless.
Over the past few weeks, I received emails from the Pinterest bot stating some of my PINS had been removed by Pinterest because they violated community standards on "adult content". None of the PINS were specifically identified for me.
Later, I'd receive an email from the bot stating the PIN had been reinstated after review - still NO info on PIN(S) in question - I was advised to read the community standards on adult content to avoid censure. I reviewed those Community Standards - I was even more confused about ANY PIN I have EVER posted that dealt with "adult content".
I tried every avenue I could to contact Pinterest to find out WHICH PINS had been censored.
I found zero way to ask that question.
The "contact form" provided NO path to communicate my questions/comments regarding emails that Pinterest sent me.
That's why I found this site to record my total frustration.
Sad...very sad.

Tip for consumers:
Specific communication from Pinterest that identifies the specific PIN(S) being censored - I would think every customer would appreciate that information.

1) Loved this service for the creativity and interactions it made possible.
2) Tried HARD to follow their vague guidelines, then tried even harder to actually communicate with customer service when they began destroying boards of mine.
3) Finally gave up this week. Here's the note that I wrote them this morning:

"I have to confess that this is both disappointing and not surprising. It is radically untrue that the majority of my pins go against any acceptable use policy. I had hundreds of travel pins, fashion pins, science-fiction pins, famous or useful saying pins that didn't get close to violating your policy, and as for the single board that's actually in question I worked my butt off to try and comply with your Acceptable Use Policy. I had no interest in posting pornography, especially after it became clear from my first effort at Pinterest that even private boards were not OK for anything involving sexuality.

Pinterest can be a wonderful service. I've learned a lot about a number of things, gained some good ideas and even met some great people. At the same time you make it all but impossible to really contact anyone in customer service, you are very uneven and very vague in your Acceptable Use Policy and when you combine that with the remarkable challenge of actually getting an answer back from customer service it's no wonder that I've worked on my boards for months and wind up losing all the work I've put into my boards. It's unfair, it's poor customer service and it could have ALL been resolved quickly and easily if you 1) had some clear examples and information around your limits for pictures and 2) could make a better effort at actually being accessible to your customers.

It's a shame, really. No worries - I won't make another effort. I look forward to your successor, someday soon."

There's some interesting reviews herein - and most of them are not real good!
I've rattled these guys a few times before, but to no-avail! They're most likely overdosed with issues and problems, such that they can no longer manager what they have.

In short, I think it is a pretty good application, where their intent is to mainly accommodate images of some of the better things in life, eg, fashion, cooking, collections, history etc. However, their boundary fence is full of holes and there is a good level of crap now linked to their system. It is this cancer if you like, that they cannot seem to manage.

From what I can tell, they will attack or suspend many legitimate pinners, but they also seem to tolerate many rat-infested boards, eg, if a user really drills into this application they will find it is one of the worst porn sites going - with thousands of images and gif's.

I have myself for example, raised my concern about a number of boards relating to child abuse. While they deleted those particular boards, I did not get a response from them about these (or anything else)!

The other issue that some users don't seem to know is that they may opt to 'pin' an acceptable looking image, but the same may be linked to a bad website - the next thing they know - they're suspended!

While they seem to have the ability to raise capital etc, they do not seem to have the brains to drive their application with say higher levels of security and warnings - to accommodate images of say nudity, accidents, wars, executions etc. Everything is certainly in the one big bucket for the kids and all to see.

Mind you, the whole Internet environment is the same - but therein, you don't get suspended!

Users just need to accept that this application is not a professional system like Linkedin and that they, young and old, can be exposed to some pretty bad stuff. Hence all the complaints!

The best approach is not to use it or even recommend it - especially if you don't want to waste any of your own time. In the end, I have found it to be one of the biggest time wasters on the planet!

Welcome to the real world!

They started sending me unsolicited emails. Well one thing caught my eye. A curling iron. Therefore, I ordered it months ago and never got the product but they got my money. They won't answer emails. So I figured I would just chalk it up to me falling for a scam. So I decided to uninstall their app and They wouldn't let me. THEY SAID IT WAS ILLEGAL TO DELETE THEM AND WOULDN'T LET ME! They need to be investigated for fraud and thievary. I wouldn't know where to begin. PLEASE do not respond to their emails. Also the name of the company advertising on Pinterest that I ordered from is HOWOWOH.

Tip for consumers:
