Ordered lobster tails on pinterest Christmas 23. Never heard a damn thing. Money was taken 2 days after ordering from my bank account. Still to this day 3/7/24 haven't heard a goddamn thing and yes I am pissed. Pinterest seems to be a place where criminals can play their games. Pinterest needs to do alot better at policing their website. In my book pinterest sucks real bad!
Looks like enough people bemoaned the sudden removal of titles on Pins, because they're back. It was totally useless without the text, now that it's back it's back to being a middle-of-the-road bookmarking site.
It's always been a bit dicey trying to get things just so with Pinterest, but they recently removed the text titles. It's completely useless now. I don't know why I have a purple icon on my "recipes to try" page because the text is hidden. What's that image of a blanket on the "cool bathroom ideas" page? Oh, it's the ad on that page which was the only thing it could capture, so useless now. FFS at least figure out how people are using your app before obliterating it.
Yes I agree with the other review! I love the idea of Pinterest! I think it will really take off and am glad to be using it now before it is as huge as tumblr... I can call myself a prime pinterester! ;) Keep up the good work guys!
Someone decided to insert ads throughout the idea pictures. Annoying, greedy, and distracting to the viewer developing ideas. On top of this, the movement of the inserted videos of ads makes things even worse.
The arrangement of ads is visually sneaky and insidious in that you have to keep stopping visually, more and more to see if the item is actually related to what your are looking for or an ad.
And... had to go here because I couldn't find a place to leave feedback on the Pinterest website.
Pinterest seems to condone pornography. Which I find offensive as I don't want to see full frontal pics of men or women. Yet, when I pin clothes, shoes, handbags, etc., and put the website and price where they can purchase them if interested, I am accused of being a spammer. That is not my intent. If I want to purchase something I see on a pin, I find it helpful but it's not permitted. Yet, if I want to find tons of pics of naked men and women, that is fine. I'm off of Pinterest. It's a piece of crap where people message you whether you like it or not. It was a good idea that has gone out of hand.
Tip for consumers:
Don't add a website or price to any products you pin.
When I first started using Pinterest 2 years ago it was a dream. Now it's just about a nightmare. There are so many glitches to try and deal with. I'm having problems with: pin screen being black, reply sometimes makes it to the person, sometimes not, when I get to the screen that comes up to reply their name is in black lettering at the top. To the left side it's in blue. For my reply to HOPEFULLY go to the person I have to erase the blue name while the screen jumps up and down.
Unable to submit query/complaint about unsolicited marketing material showing on my account despite not following this soft porn area. Every attempt to submit a query to not receive this offensive material is blocked - endless questions which require you to revert for information forcing you out of the site and having to restart the process - screen freezing - andd finally unable to submit at all. Perhaps they are sensitive and just don't like complaints!
So I am pinning my complaint on my board: #disappointed
Also tried delivering this review on customer service website - which also inexplicably freezes. Cannot recommend Pinterest.

Pinterest used to be a delight. I have two accounts on Pinterest for different reasons. When I am working on one account all of my boards appear just as I wish. When I access my other account from the account I'm working on, I see that on every board all kinds of ads that have been inserted (by?) among the pins I have chosen, completely destroying the whole effect. You would never notice this unless you access your account from another Pinterest account, say, a friend's account. Try it.
So I occasionally looked at baking stuff, etc, along those lines, my daughter used it frequently, she liked saving pins of clothes she thought pretty. Nothing was ever uploaded, nothing ever made public, every category was locked. And yet they kicked me and my daughter off for doing nothing wrong. That so called company hacks your account and makes up whatever justifies their intrusion into your life. They did this twice, I am now an advocate against companies like pin$#*!.
Horrible company! They constantly continue to send me unwanted emails, even after I have unsubscribed on multiple occasions. I have been part of ID they twice, and I feel their continued disregard for my request has opened that opportunity again. Plus, they have now doubled their email activity to me. I have never seen a company with such blatant disregard for the public.
This website is Good And Horrible...They have members coming on there loading up pictures that others think is fine to pin on they page shared...But once you share it they come after you and take down all the pins and threaten to take your profile because of this B.s.They should go after the person who uploading these pictures on this website! Not the person who is sharing the pin...This website is to sensitive and need to grow the Hell up! And find a better solution and banned the members who bringing this b.s on this site...
I have tried several times to look at exterior entry doors, and sadly they are all linked to a Pinterest site. I do not want to set up a Pinterest account, and while it appears to allow me to use my Facebook account, it wont let me to the page. So I am boycotting any vendor that wont allow me to view their product without setting up a Pinterest account. We are starting a $200,000 home remodel, so sorry for the short sightedness of those vendors.
You are right. I saved things that I would go back to and it was work created. I would also have like for them to send me a notice as a courtesy to say you need to make some changes, and I would have. It makes no sense to me for us to put in all that work and they know it also. It would not take a moment no more then it does to send a email stating we have removed your account because of. That could have been we will remove if you don't. Give a time and as I know I would have made those changes. They clearly say no sex content and I had a follower who did that to me. That page is still there. Doug I know how you feel. I don't click on anything that says Pinterest.
I had a nice page and it was just Movies, Music, Videos I enjoyed, shows I have watched without writing the spoilers. Just as it say my interest. I wasn't promoting anything that I felt was spam worthy. I am a watcher when it comes to shows and movies and I enjoy listening to music. I like nails, hair styles and creative eyes. I posted this on my pages and it was removed. I read what they said they don't allow and believe me when I say. Everything that I posted was found on other pages or would come up already on Pinterest. I could not believe all the work I put in and they sent me an email stating we removed your page for spam content. I thought why not let me know what I have posted that is also on other pages and I did not save others content other than some hairstyles, nail art that i liked. Others were my own and stuff around my own place I posted picture of memories my own and the mickey mouse club that I enjoyed as a child. A person followed my page and when I went to look it was a nude sexual picture and I thought how I can remove that. I couldn't find a way but that person page is still there. I was sent an email today and it said if you want to review this matter click on this link and when I did the page was blank. I will never use or go to pinterest page again.
The amount of ads I see is becoming way too excessive. There's almost as many ads as there are pins at this point. No joke, I just opened Pinterest, and there's at least eight ads at the top, no pins, just ads. Along with this, there's an issue with my boards where some sections will become stuck in some places. This has happened with at least three of my boards, as well as any new ones I make. It's been over a year I've had this issue, and it still hasn't been fixed.
I used Pinterest for years to keep information, patterns, recipes, and to store my photos. I went to log in and there was a message that I was suspended and that they had sent me an email which was a total LIE. I have written to them on numerous occasions and have not received a response which leads me to the conclusion that their methods are totally nefarious.
Did a review of Pinterest in Dec. After attempting to get some satisfaction for a purchase. Submitted all the information I had for the vendor. Paupoo is still advertising the same item on different websites on Pinterest. I informed Pinterest & they've done nothing. The item is completely fraudulent, I even sent pictures of this "handmade dragon". No one seems to care, it's ridiculous, shameful & pitiful. I know I'll never see a refund for this dragon. This type of situation is inexcusable. I am handicapped, on a fixed income, I depend on being able to purchase many items online. How does a person find websites that aren't cheats, liars, employee exploiters, or expensive?
I have had the same problem as Sue e. The filthy porn that pops up is disgusting, I have emailed a complaint and am now awaiting a reply. The disgusting photos and videos are truly shocking. I was only looking at hair styles if I wanted to look at men masterbating then I'd go on a porn site.
Pinterest SHOVES a lot ff their "promoted" and "picked for you" pins in your feed. By doing this, its really the visual equivalent of making you look at everything in your junk mail folder.
It wasn't always like this. YOU could decide what you wanted to see. I get that Pinterest needed to be able to monetize their site. However, the way they are going about it is just a turn off. I would have rather paid an annual fee. Now, I just go to the site a lot less.
I loved Pinterest. So much! But recently they suspended my account, and the reason is SPAM. This is ridiculous, I pinned the same picture in two boards of mine. And they suspended my account for that! Seriously? And now they sent me an email saying that they won't reactivate my account again. Wow well done Pinterest, I hate you now.
It used to be possible to see full sized pins from boards in sequence without returning to the thumbnails.
The arrows that allow this are now gone, and it is impossible to see pins slideshow style anymore, help center says this was done deliberately as an "experiment"
WHY?
What use are image boards that don't let you look at the images?
It's destroyed my ability to use and enjoy this site and no one can tell me why they would make a crazy change like this.
Sometime in the last week, Pinterest decided that advertising is more important than viewers. That tiny thumbnail becomes a slightly larger thumbnail and then a zoom-in with an awkard scrolling window. And, oh! Look! Theres now room for an ad on every page! Right in the middle. Whoohoo! Id already noticed Google was doing a better job of showing relevant queries, now they do a better job of keeping users happy.
As an art student, I'm always looking for inspiration. My friend reccomended Pinterest and when I set up the account, I was very surprised. I wasn't initially expecting much, because most websites have spam and people who are only out to amuse themselves, not others. But it's great! When I'm sat at home, bored out of my head, all I have to do is type in 'projects' and it comes up with all sorts of things for me to do. It's also great if you have friends on Pinterest, because you can communicate and send each-other pins. It really lightens up my day!
The only minor problem I've experienced is that most pins are linked to websites which sometimes make my phone crash, but I think that's because my phone is an old version. I love Pinterest, GET IT!
My acct. Is deactivated. I use it for work as a writer. I have broken no rules and cannot figure out why the acct. Was deactivated. There is no one to contact. No chat line or help line. I sent an email and got an auto reply that said, "Hi there, Thanks for writing in. It looks like your Pinterest account is suspended. (No kidding) Our team of experts will review your account. We'll send you another email with the results of our review." (Uh, when will that be?) Basically, blow off, we're too busy to be bothered. How can the advertisers want to waste money on this unprofessional company. Don't get too attached to your stuff here as you can be thrown off any day, for any reason.
Tip for consumers:
If there is something you really love o this you belter save it to your computer as your acct. could be gone in a minute.
Products used:
I used the site for writing source. So I only saved pins.
I have reached out to them multiple times and have only received an automated message in response that gives no answer to what I was asking. There is no possible way of reaching out to an actual representative.
I used to work at this company. They might look glamours from the outside, they have no intention to secure personal sensitive data collected from their customers. Their Security team has no proven measurable process to protect and secure users data privacy and security. Everything was controlled subjectively by couple guys who lead the team like Godfathers of the Mafia. Upper management at the same time has zero monitoring metric and measurable controls. I wonder how they would pass Data Privacy laws regulated by the EU or California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA 2020). Protect your data, stay away! Because they won't.
I'm new to Pinterest and I must say that I'm wowed by it! I love the endless possibilities from pinning your own pictures to pinning from different websites and social media. Another thing that I find great is the ideas! So many people and so many different ideas! I had some trouble in decorating my new home a couple of months ago and I admit I found ideas on Pinterest. I can't give it less than 5 stars since I'm absolutely amazed by the Pinterest world :)
