“Lobster tales christmas 23”

Jeffrey M.
3/7/24

Ordered lobster tails on pinterest Christmas 23. Never heard a damn thing. Money was taken 2 days after ordering from my bank account. Still to this day 3/7/24 haven't heard a goddamn thing and yes I am pissed. Pinterest seems to be a place where criminals can play their games. Pinterest needs to do alot better at policing their website. In my book pinterest sucks real bad!

Pinterest is like going to a fabulous restaurant, being presented with a beautiful meal, and then getting serious food poisoning afterwards. You want to let the restaurant know so they can fix the problem, but you can't get in contact with them.

I love the concept and the design of the site, but it is littered with bugs which makes the user experience frustrating.

As of now my account is not useable:

A. Boards have been created that are not visible in my account, but recreating the board results in an error saying a board already exists under that name
B. I logged in two days ago to find most of my pins had moved under a single board, but when I edit the pin to try to move it back it says it is still under the original board even though it is not
C. I get 400 and 500 errors about 25% of the time when trying to navigate the site and post new pins

I know it's a free service. And regardless if I agree with your decision to not offer support, the lack of it would not deter me from praising or using the service.

However -

A. If you are not going to offer support, you should make this clear. I wanted the service to work so badly that I wasted my own time attempting to find a way to get my account fixed. Only to have my emails not responded to and Facebook posts deleted. (mind you, my posts were super friendly and very appropriate, but they were deleted w/ no response.)
B. One has to question the integrity and future of a company when they do not have interest in understanding and fixing bugs customers are experiencing

I sincerely hope you turn this wonderful concept and beautiful design into a functioning product. Use that 27 mil to hire a customer service and QA team! Otherwise someone is just going to copy your idea and do it right.

WARNING FOR MERCHANTS, SOONER OR LATER PINTEREST WILL REMOVE YOUR CATALOGUE!
For any other merchants considering joining Pinterest, we advise against it as sooner or later, they may remove your catalogue for no apparent reason.
After nearly two years of being a merchant on Pinterest with over a million monthly views, our store catalogue was suddenly removed due to policy violations. We allocated six months to our dedicated team to thoroughly remove any products that could potentially violate their policies, yet our catalogue was still rejected despite three appeals. Although we believe that our remaining products are suitable for all users, the idea is that they still violate the policy, and they don't give you any reason, you supposed to work it out in your own head, the violation policy is very broad. As a result, we have decided to end our involvement with Pinterest. Perhaps a more astute individual will devise a similar or superior idea, without the unreasonable policies, and the site will eventually decline.

This site is worthless if you search for a specific item. I think that site should be taken down. It's a waist of time.

It used to be so different but since last year when pinterest stopped letting people like pins and changed the demographic of pinners shown, things have gone downhill fast.

Firstly the quality of the pins are often mediocre, boring and repetitive plus the pins are now often blocked or lead to spam and I know pinterest wanted to move away from the social media side of things that's why they removed the like button but the likes helped to keep genuine content in the feed.

What's happening now is that there's also more men from all over the world on the site which is good but sadly some are there trying to turn it into a porn site, maybe because porn isn't easily accessible in all countries?. The comments page is sometimes used for this along with blatant self promotion. Customs, culture and style varies greatly even between neighbouring countries please don't lump us all together you've alienated some of your original supporters from your site.

Also because I'm in the UK a lot of my content is now from Europe seriously it doesn't work. When my content was UK and US based the views and general consensus of pins was the same. But now that far flung places are deemed as being the same because they're in the northern hemisphere I sometimes get at best irrelevant pins, uneducated pins, mocking poking fun, soft porn or just downright cruel especially when it comes to animals.

Yesterday I had to comment on a pin from eastern Europe a pin that had a ton of likes and comments. They were congratulating him on goldfish that had all been encased while still alive in resin to make... a coffee table. Sadly this type of pin isn't unusual since pinterest opened up.
Pinterest I'm off really soon.

Pinterest used to attract people who enjoyed collecting photos around their interests. They also had the pleasure of sharing. You would subscribe to someone else boards, to other pinner's interests. Their interest now became part of your feed and if you chose them, then automatically the image would be tagged with the others person's avatar, from which of their boards and at what time. You could also know who had enjoyed your own choices and when. This all created a sense of community. This was a very highly enjoyable social discover, enjoy and share experience, with some beautiful collections naturally curated and elevated by hundreds and even thousands of users. In the last two years Pinterest has progressively and systematically destroyed this by silo-ing people into what Pinterest wants to show and recommend. There are obviously commercial motives behind this. The more they can feed off your personal interests and push content that has advertising value behind it, the more value Pinterest might gain as a corporation that appeals to advertising and e-commerce power houses. The problem is that your feeds are now not a reflection of your subscriptions (they are plainly and simply not respected), but a reflection of what Pinterest recommendation engines think you should like. As an example I like boats and follow boat boards but recently pinned an image with a flag at the back of the boat. Well guess what? I get tons of flag pins and how to buy... but hardly any of the boats I subscribed to. Deuuhhh? The Pinterest community is in uproar. Not only do the pins no longer tell you where pins came from (it was nice to be able to remember that Jimmy's sail boat board was where I found that beautiful schooner 5 months ago.) or who re-pinned from my collections (at a glance, I could then know that Paul and Martin both re-pinned my choice on a very elegant vacation board and discover their tastes and interest). No longer - and Pinterest keeps on modifying their user experience adding more complexity, while taking away the simple information and sharing that their users liked. Go figure..

I was deactivated by pinterest with no email on suspension or deactivation. I have been a avid pinner on the site for years. I have 30 boards... some conservative, wedding plans for children and building plans. I even have a site locked with personal family pictures. I have not gotten any assistance with pinterest on the deactivation of my account. No assistance except for email survey request that I have sent dissatisfied. I don't know what else to do. Update:::: It has been a week! Pinterest has not bothered to contact me. I feel pinterest has stolen my pictures of my boys... I pray everyone think again before trusting pinterest. Especially with family pictures... The company deactivated my account with no warning... They do not care. Update. After a month emailing Pinterest of the diagnosis of my account... they emailed me that it was permantly deleted... Due to hate speech. I read conservative read, Fox News, Weazel zippers and they deleted my entire accounts. Stole family pictures. They accuse me of hate! I have no hateful bone in my body! This is Soooo Unjust!

This used to be one of my favorite places for inspiration, and now my homepage is FILLED with ads. It feels like every other pin in promoted. I spend more time turning them off than I do actually enjoying the things that are posted by followers I admire. The whole point of Pinterest has been diluted. Instead of it being a curated feed of things I love, it's turned into a wall of ALL THE BANNER ADS ON THE INTERNET.

Pinterest, I don't $#*!ing care what Disney princess I am or what are the 5 ways to cut costs on a wedding (idiots, I don't plan on getting married, please reconfigure your algorithms). Stop showing me clothing I would never wear (I don't want a sweatshirt with a bible quote on it) or products I would ever use (what the $#*! is BarkThin?). You've sold yourselves out to any advertiser that will throw cash your way, and you've forsaken your users in the process. Learn how to create a business model that doesn't $#*! on your users. I don't see a future with your company if you carry on this way.

Pinterest is the biggest garbage from all the websites that you can have an account, they make people waste their time miserable and one day for no reason at all they tell you your account have been suspended for no reason, and don`t try to reason with the people that are supposed to help you, because they don`t care they will answer you: "That you probably did something wrong like pinned image with sexual content, I explained to them in another email that I did not. And I did not got any answer back they just suspended my account and I lost all the quotes that I have saved in my computer and pinned in pinterest trusting that I could keep them there I delete all the quotes from my device and now I have nothing thanks to the stupid website call Pinterest the biggest garbage on the internet don`t waste your time looking for pictures to pinned like I did because one day you have nothing just because someone in Pinterest want to delete your account without any explanation or real reason this is really disgusting.

Be careful if you ask for technical support. If your computer isn't infected they will infect it and then try to sell you malware.

Tip for consumers:
Be careful of what they are doing.

I want to say that I've been a user of Pinterest for many years just for design inspiration. I have thousands and thousands of pins in numerous boards, including sharing secret boards with groups from my university. The new Pinterest is a pain.

1. On the Apple device apps, you can no longer move a pin from a secret board to another secret board. This was not previously the case. It's still an option that is available on the desktop version, but not the apps? And the apps also crash consistently rendering it almost useless and frustrating while browsing. With app updates every two weeks, they're only making Pinterest worse by moving functions around, making users have to scavenge to find options.

2. The "suggested pins" and advertisements are extremely out of hand. It was tolerable once but now my home feed is almost more advertisements and suggested pins that are just not relevant to me in ANY way at all. Plus some of them are beyond ridiculous, advertising me club/party dresses with a provocative mirror selfie image as the pin. Are you serious? I don't follow anything related to that kind of content. I spent more time trying to get rid of these things than viewing my own things.

3. The new interface is so ugly and confusing. Just to simply "log out" which should've been obvious on the top right corner ends up with a user having to go to their profile > icon with three dots > sign out. Really?

4. Pinterest is like Tumblr. You cannot browse content unless you have an account. Since I have an account already, I don't mind, but it's inconvenient for others who don't wish to make an account.

Sooner or later, it'll just be easier for me to download all the Pins locally to folders on my computer. I only need the visual image, not the URLs, so it's probably easier for me. If Pinterest can't even get themselves corrected, I can't trust them managing my thousands of pins.
