I was charge a yearly membership a couple of days ago. Went to cancel my membership since my wife will not go there due to their covid protection. The manager who would not give me any name other than Mark would not refund the fee. He told me if I would have come in 5 days ago I could cancel without the yearly membership. Would not refund or give me any corporate contact.

$49 a year membership fee, for what? Just be honest that your membership is $30 a month, not $25. What extra service is being done to maintain a membership? You already have my bank automatically taking money out for you. No extra effort is required at that one day a month, that you radomly decide to take more money, just because!

No refund policy

I am very upset with Planet Fitness because I saw a charge of $31 on my bank account and I didn't even know it was reopening. They say they sent out emails but they have my number. They could have just as easily called or texted me. I wasn't even thinking about going back to the gym. During this pandemic, you wouldn't catch me in there with a hazmat suit! And since I'm not working now, that $31 could have gone toward food or something I actually use! And why the no refund policy? That seems a bit fraudulent to me. And if that isn't enough, I have to either go in to Planet Fitness or go to the post office to send through certifiable mail a request to cancel my membership! I just think the whole situation was handled quite poorly and I will be warning everyone on every platform to beware of ever joining Planet Fitness!

Great workout spot
June 6, 2023

New to MN and the Brainerd area, was a little intimidated at first to join a new gym, however, the staff here was so friendly, showed me around and gave me a great tour and it's definitely worth the money. I highly suggest becoming a black card member!

Lack of Customer Care
October 21, 2022

My home gym was El Paso, Montanna Avenue. I went to stop my membership as I am in the military, and traveling away, but it was closed. I drove to the next closest one, at Pebble Hills, El Paso.
Upon asking to cancel my membership, they told me I would have to drive across town to the new address 20 minutes away. I told them I was leaving soon and tight on time, and they told me "Write a Letter". So I googled what I could do, and found out I could transfer memberships and the stop them at that gym.
I had to go back inside, and inform the staff that I found out how to help myself, and the stopped the membership. This is a clear example of a lack of customer care. To me, the staff would rather see a customer drive across town, then inform them or help them stop their membership. To me this comes off as a deterrent to customers stopping membership, just to make it more difficult to cancel for the sake of the company gaining another 10$ for the month.

Very discriminatory.

I went in on February 11th to the Millplain location in Vancouver WA. The staff can be very condescending, biased, and discriminatory. I have been a member for some time. I gave up working out there around COVID-19 time. I ended up getting a complete home gym. I went in on the 11th to only see a huge black fist with BLM and hearts. I was offended and decided to cancel my membership. I told IAN, that I was canceling for personal reasons. I got home and noticed on my contract that IAN put "not motivated" as my reason for cancellation. Liar! The bottom line, the gym is cheap, and you get what you pay for. The atmosphere and the people who work there, not all the employees there were horrible. There were some good ones 2%, The other 98% are as ghetto as you can get. After repeatedly dealing with unprofessional staff and a very woke mob atmosphere, I decided it was beneath me and time to move on. The Ownership doesn't care nor does corporate. Just like every other gym this too shall close. I have a picture of the ridiculous drawing from the so-called judgment-free zone. I would love to share. Anyhow, we all matter no matter what race!

Carmen was very n disrespectful I'm jus a guest she approached me being very nasty and rude, saying I was using my phone when I wasn't I wasn't loud I wasn't doing anything I was like we like to the lady that she still was there No one should go into a place in feelin unwelcome Ms Carmen needs to respect ppls stop accusing people of doing things when you're not doing it I was going to work out, not be disrespected by her. I don't know nobody there I felt violated

Gym not secure

I Avilsai Aleman have a membership in Toms river Nj, someone today still $200 from my locker, this one opened my combination lock and took my money. I believe this gym can install a security camera, just to prevent this in the future.

I wanted to join the Crestwood, Mo. Gym and I gave them my credit card and they also wanted my checking account number- why would anyone give a company their checking account number, they said that was there policy. I walked out

Why is the sleeve to my barbell pad counted as a bag and tripping hazard as it is neatly folded to the size of my phone, but people are allowed to surround themselves with 4 sets of dumbells and 2 barbells and that's okay?! I've almost tripped trying to step in between barbells blocking the path, but never anyone's one bag. The McMinnville location needs to focus on cleaning nasty mirrors and equipment and less about what the members do with a sleeve/bag right next to the machines..
