I sent my VAT refund forms to Planet Payment via registered mail, which they received March 21. It's been 36 days and I have received no refund. Today, I checked the status of on their website, and got the message: "We have issues processing your Tax Free form, please contact our Customer Support team by providing the details from your Tax Free form(s)" If they had issues with processing my form, why didn't they contact me until now? They have all my contact information on the paperwork I sent them. So I filled in the requested info form on their site, and got an email auto responder.
I provided all the information and did everything I was supposed to. So WHAT is the problem?
If this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be bringing it to the attention of major media outlets and seek any available legal remedies. Planet Payment has no right to withhold our funds.
We made our purchase at Denmark airport. On Sept 28, when leaving EU from Dublin Airport, the request to Stamp the VAT form was made to Custom officer in the presence of two Planet lady representatives officer happen to drop by Planet counter.
It was clearly and repeatedly confirmed that my form does not need to be stamped because the purchase is below 2000 euro. That was what happened. The two Planet lady representatives confirmed it is totally fine! I handed in the filled VAT form to them.
It was later found my VAT form was never entered into Planet system.
When I try to get help from Planet, I provided photos of original receipt and Filled VAT form. But Planet asked for stamped form, where their representatives at Dublin Airport confirmed not needed.
They told me I will not get my refund
