Proactively asks for customer feedback
This company responds to reviews on average within 12 hours
I purchased a GTA V Online account from a player. It said you can change all account details to yourself and you'll have zero issues. Fast forward about two months and magically the account is changed back to the original owner. I of course changed the feedback on the seller to negative. After the seller promised he'd correct everything if I could alter the feedback I got in touch with playerauctions. They said there is literally nothing at all they can do to help. They can't let me change the feedback, they won't delete the feedback so I can write a new one. So in the end they continue to let a seller who they know is stealing accounts back continue to sell and do literally nothing to help the honest buyer who was screwed out of money. I cannot wrap my head around how this is the final solution to this problem. Sad.

***update the seller has been suspended which is huge. Clearly he was running some shady transactions per myself and others who had given him feedback***
Out of the nine reviews I can read on the seller that took the account back, four are negative and include something about "the account was taken back". But yah, it was me and not him who changed the email address. I stole my own account back that I purchased from him. He even said to me "the only way I can help you is if you edit the feedback you left me". Since your site and your employees won't help me, the buyer who got screwed over, but are literally doing nothing to the seller who clearly is not honest and not running an honest business selling accounts. The original account I purchased had Arturo as the account name, the photo I sent you showed the guy with the email starting with Arturo stole, 100% stole the account back from me, so clearly it's either the seller or the seller stole the account from Arturo then sold it to me. It's ok, there is a reason on site jabber there are 342 one star reviews of playerauctions. That right there tells the whole story. You have almost one third of all reviews as one star, that's insane. I see why now. I wish I would have seen this website prior to the purchase.

I have never in my life felt more scam vibes from a company. They allow you to pay with things like Apple Pay or PayPal then email you on your personal email, not the on web messaging to request ludicrous documents such as your photo ID with your address, an electric bill, your bank screenshot, your credit card photo and more. I've done some research and they seem legit, but they make it almost impossible to trust them with their super sketchy practices. My transaction never finished by the way. I wasn't about to send a picture of my bank account. Ridiculous.
Date of experience: November 1, 2020
Hello Jeremy,
I understand where you're coming from and rest assured, your scam vibes are totally unfounded. I'm sorry for the inconvenience with this.
The canceled order will be fully and automatically refunded back to you. As for why we ask the documents: we have this in place to validate the identity of our users and to fully authorize the payment. Your documents are only used for verification and they are treated confidentially; there are never shared outside of PlayerAuctions.
We respect your decision not to send them over. If you'd like to try buying again without going through this process, please use crypto currency or Skrill Bank Transfer as your payment, since both methods no longer require verification on our end.
Best regards,
Richard
Site was clear and easy to use, and includes buyer protection at no extra charge which is better than most other similar sites. Seller delivered as advertised quicker than max time promised. Definitely going to use the website and seller again.

The trade was done by the book -- discreet and quick. The price was a little higher than what I'd pay but honestly now that I know it would end smoothly like this, I am more than happy to have spend that.

Thank you so much, we're deeply honored by this; we hope you enjoy your purchase, Sebastian.
These guys are the worst, i spent over 400 dollars over there, and never seen any of my merchandise, they seem to be pretty confused in terms of what they are actually doing, and my inbox was floded with email from their help desk requesting me and that, and pictures. At some point i just gave up and lost all the patience i had to spare them so im just gonna go to a different site that i used who work really well...
Dont use playerauctions they are horrible
Date of experience: March 14, 2022
Hello Marc,
Your payment was due for verification. You were not flooded, you were responded to by our agents. You received 2 verification emails because you placed 2 orders. The idea is to verify your payment account first and once you're able to do that, your other orders will be good to go since you will be using an already verified payment account. We had no confusion on the matter, we informed you that the documents we received were incorrect so we responded to you, then you never replied back.
The situation is falsely made to be terrible, but in actuality, you did not use the service — you canceled it and nothing untoward happened. You were asked once to verify per order, the succeeding replies were to help you with what to do. The buyer always has the choice to submit the documents or not.

Richard
So Im currently talking to my Military bank right now because I bought a account for 750 dollars. The guy one year later changes the information (mind you I have screenshots of him doing this) I go to dispute this with playerauctions and they side with the scammer and decide not to give my money back after I got screenshots and conversation of him saying and admitting that hes a reseller for his friends account and that his friend prob changed the account info. That he will be happy to get the info. At this point I just want my money back and I demand my money. What does player auctions do? They deny my refund. Guess what? I promise you the bank isnt gonna deny me once I put all the conversation and proof in a email and show them this fraud
Tip for consumers:
DONT USE IT THEM. I'm Military and I had to call my Military bank for refund of 800 dollars

Don't use this site it's a scam and they support scammers apparently

Hi Eli,
I'm sorry for the difficult ordeal you experienced. Unfortunately, we did not receive compelling evidence for this. Part of our after-sale protection's requirements is for valid and substantial evidence to be sent so we can enact a refund. This is explained here: https://i.imgur.com/C632F9a.png
You are free and welcome to pursue the refund but because this is being settled outside of our site, please note that we will have to close your account, as per our terms, item 8.1 here: https://www.playerauctions.com/about/agreement/
In case you have any questions, please let me know, Eli.
Regards,
Richard
Ensures both the seller and buyer receive their end of the order.
Their system makes it extremely to buy items from other players without worry of being scammed.
Will certainly do business with them again.

This is the only site I go to for in-game currency and account selling/buying. I've never had an issue in the many years that I have been a member. The multiple verification system is great to make sure that both the buyer and seller are not going to get scammed. It's great that there are more than one option for buyers to choose from and you can clearly see what a seller's review is. I'll keep going here as long as I play mmo's, which will probably be the rest of my life!

I will edit the rating, after I'm assisted. Today I got the message that my account got suspended, despite being a seller of over 10k items on your website for 2.5 years. I already opened the ticket but I got no reply, I'd prefer to call you over phone, like I did in past while changing the disbursement method. How can I do this? Ticket request *******, please get back to me asap.
Date of experience: December 2, 2019
Hello Karolina,
I was able to reply to you on Sythe forums, and I'm afraid the decision to suspend your account is already final and can not be lifted. I also included some pointers and options in my message to you and I hope you could check on that.
Best regards,
Richard
Excellent and professional service.
They handle orders professionally and discreetly. Communication is very good.
I would be very careful of people asking for your Discord. Drop it and get another seller to avoid being scammed.

Thanks a lot for the kind review and for sharing this pro-tip; we totally agree as transactions outside of PlayerAuctions are also outside of our protection.
Much appreciated on this, Ludwig. :)
This site was okay at start then they pushed documents at me and held my money. Still haven't got it back yet. Neoseeker has the same sellers. Better prices. I hate u player auctions. I spent 1000$ a week with u and get treated like trash. U will never see my money again. Hope u fail miserabley.

This website is actually the worst trading site ever. If you aren't willing to pay double the price of your purchase, you will most likely lose out on whatever you buy when it is banned, recovered, or confiscated. That huge payment that protects your product is also non-refundable, so you're out the same amount of money anyway. What a god damn waste. Has happened 5/5 times for me now and you cannot dispute the seller on paypal because the website is the middleman.
Date of experience: April 5, 2018
Hello there, Sawyer,
I'm very sorry to hear that this has happened to you for five times already. However, we cannot account for reclamations specially if the buyer is unable to secure the account. We provide 72 hours before the order is closed and this a good opportunity for buyers to request for the recovery information from the seller. Having these info will enable users to fully secure the account and prevent any reclamation. We cannot guarantee that all trades are free from risks, that's why we offer insurance packages for orders which mitigates instances like this. As per checking, I'm afraid this order was placed without insurance so we cannot issue a refund. I am very sorry for that.
If you have further concerns and/or questions about this, please do not hesitate to drop us a line at support@playerauctions.com.
Best regards,
Richard
I made an order and the agents weren't happy with my paypal information. After hassling between 20 emails, they finally cancel my order. However there is still a paypal authorization they won't remove, I've explained to them it's their end, but they keep telling me to wait 5 days.

Hi there, Taylor,
I'm sorry for the inconvenience regarding your payment and cancellation. I checked on your ticket and I found out that one of our agents was able to contact PayPal and have the authorization cancelled for you, and there was also an acknowledgement email from you. Please drop us a message in case you have other concerns about this, and we'd be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,
Richard
Just wonderful. Declines all of my payment methods, unless I pay the the lord almighty coinbase.
Trying to buy a $20 account and bought it 3 times using different methods. It's hard since every other service is a scam, I've been looking for an account for 3 hours. I don't understand why they ask for so much security, I know so many people would use this if it wasn't strict. I also have to wait 2 - 22 days for the $60 to get back in my account. It took me 2 - 22 seconds to spend $60.

Hi Jordan,
I'm very sorry for the inconvenience; upon checking, I found out your payment was being declined since the real name and address between your PlayerAuctions and payment accounts are mismatched (either one of the two or both). If you'd like, I can change your real name. Just send me a private message (DO NOT post your name publicly for your privacy) and to provide proof that you own the account, just tell me your:
- Username
- Email on the account
- Current name
- Name you wish it to be changed to (which should be the same as your payment account)
The address can be freely changed anytime by you.
Coinbase was suggested because it's a stored wallet and we no longer need to check for name/address discrepancies.
Best regards,
Richard
Latest update - The item has now been returned. It took so many weeks, Im gonna bump the overall rating from a 1 to 2. I honestly wanted to keep it at a 1 star because I had to blast them on sitejabber for anything to even start happening. I contacted them twice through their contact forums on playerauction.com and had no response, nothing
I accepted a trade offer though their bot July 16 for a CSGO item. I waited over the 15 day waiting period to see my item on PlayerAuction site. Contacted 10 days ago and still haven't heard anything back. What a joke They are obviously trying scam people.
No - the item has still not been returned. Its not in my Playerauction inventory nor my steam inventory, So who ever said they returned it failed or lied
Date of experience: August 27, 2018
Hello again, John,
Our staff has just resent back the item for this offer. Could you please check on your Steam account and accept the trade offer? I will be here if you need anything. You may also reply back to the email I sent you a while ago. Sorry for the continued inconvenience.
Best regards,
Richard

For reference, this was my earlier reply:
I was told by the respective department that your skins are now returned, John. Could you please check on your end if you have them already? My sincerest apologies again for the delay, I hope you could look into revising your review for a possible upgrade. Thank you in advance; Please let us know if we can help you with other stuff, John.
I only read positive Feedbacks about the website so far, and now that I did my first trade I was immediately asked to review the site here, to get a 5% discount for the next purchase. So I am doing this now, because I plan on buying something after this purchase, if I am not confronted with any trouble.
EDIT: After i wrote the Review above, i went to sleep.
When i woke up i received an email containing all necessary information on my purchased product.
Everything went well, I can recommend this website.
Tip for consumers:
Very good!

Don't waste your time or money placing an order with playerauctions.com. They debited money from my account, requested a photo of me and my ID, which I provided, and then deleted the account I created and banned me. I haven't received a refund yet!
Date of experience: January 14, 2022
Hi Sandra,
I'm sorry but your order was canceled and your account was closed because the person on the account is found to be underaged. We require users to be 18 or above to be able to have legal IDs and form binding contracts with us. Refunds take 2-5 business days (only weekdays are counted) and you should receive your funds back this coming week.
Best regards,
Richard
Bought a GTA account, my money came out of my account, I sent the confirmation, ID, bank card, and selfie in verification, despite them saying I wouldn't have to do that if I payed with Skrill, which I did.
But I sent everything anyway, and they kept saying oh can you send this image better, or can you reposition your hand in this picture?
Everything is clear to see and now despite sending photos of everything and some more than once, they haven't responded to my last 3 emails.
Seems like they take your money and then find excuses to not have to forward this onto the seller.
Will be submitting a proper complaint, and will update this review if it gets sorted soon.
Proceed with caution.

Hi Danny,
I'm very sorry for the concern this has caused you. We require these documents because we aim to establish the identity of the buyer and his/her ownership of the payment account being used. Due to the anonymity the internet provides, we have to be strict in making sure payments are free from fraud and the usage of cards is authorized.
Thank you for patiently complying with this. The order is now fully processed.
Best regards,
Richard
The verification/validation process is long and slow. It is not the Seller's fault but just another "secure processing" that is being promoted. So if you are in a rush to buy and must leave, etc. I'd suggest that you make the order when you have some free time in hand.

Awesome site, great service and the only way to make sure these kind of sales are secure since Playerauctions protects you from chargebacks. Just need to make sure you're buying/selling to actual players and not the spam botting gold sellers that also sometimes list on here, but that's usually pretty clear from the offer listings. A+

I buyed many times (account created 2013)
From one day to another i am blocked for paypal/online bank/credit card
They talk something about "payment risk systems" and can not help me with this problem.
I had no recharge refund or any false transaction.
They want me to use crypto currency
Its a no go for me

Hello Claus,
Thank you for posting your experience regarding your order. I was able to check and the order ID you gave here points to a successfully completed order, perhaps there was a mistake in posting the one with the issue?
To answer your review: our website has a security system that conforms to anti-fraud and risk management standards. If the account information has inaccuracies and/or inconsistencies, it gets flagged and payment will be declined as protection for the community. Information has to be accurate, relevant, and up-to-date in order for payments to go through.
When this happens, your other option would be to pay via GoCoin. Rest assured that no charges are ever processed with declined payments, and if any was deducted, it will be automatically returned from the end of your payment institution.
If you'd like assistance on this and any other issues or concerns, please get in touch with support@playerauctions.zendesk.com. Thank you and have a good week, Claus.
Best regards,
Richard
The service on this website is hands down the worst experience I have ever had from any business. I recently purchased one of their products which advertised as "instant delivery" yet it has been almost 20+ hours and I have not received any information about my product and the 5+ emails I have sent their customer service have been completely ignored. I highly recommend not buying anything from their website as any attempts at help will just be ignored, and you will not receive your products that YOU buy at all. I still have no information on what I bought. The website is just a massive headache and not worth anything that you get.
Date of experience: May 31, 2018
Hello John,
I'd like to apologize about this as we had an issue with the automation of game account deliveries. I can confirm with you that this has been fixed already, but unfortunately some orders are still getting affected --- for this, I am very sorry.
I can see from my end that after 2 days, you have already confirmed receiving the sale. 48 hours is no joke when it should have been just a matter of 2-3 hours. Thank you for your honesty and transparency, that in spite of the massive delay, you still confirmed on the site. Is everything alright with the account you received? Please let me know so I can assist.
I'll make sure our tech team knows about the delay issue so we can work on getting them back to full and as intended functionality.
Thank you very much, John. Do let me know if you have other questions about this.
Best regards,
Richard
I mean the site works well but the moment you have an issue and try contact their support team to get your money back after receiving nothing from the seller you will get no reply... it's one week away from being a month since i posted my support ticket and still not a response sadly i can't recommend this website due to the bad support although the site itself operates quick if you get scammed or anything expect no response or help... even as someone who has purchased frequently on the site... recommend checking elsewhere
Date of experience: January 18, 2020
Hello Brandon,
I'm terribly sorry you were unable to get replies from our staff. For cases like these, it's always best to go ahead and cancel the order, and this is also the reason why we make it available right off the bat. As for receiving gold in the wrong server, we recommend buyers and sellers to talk it out before the order is placed, because once the order goes through, it's usually final because the system assumes the buyer is completely aware of the service/gold he purchased, and also to make it fair to the seller.
If you have any other questions, please write back to your ticket thread so our staff can help you out.
Best,
Richard
I sold my fortnite account on this site for 120$, fees took 20$ but i don't complain about that. Then i have 100$ left in my balance and i cant withdraw it. Whenever i'm trying to change disbursement account i set up skrill payment name and mail address. Then i receive verification code and write it down. After i submit it's still same old disbursement account and withdraw button isn't working. (its black). I contacted support 2 months ago and ticket is still open, they reply rarely and if they reply it doesn't help with anything. Very terrible support
Date of experience: November 11, 2020
Hello Jeremy,
I'm very sorry for the hassle with this. I sent a reply followed by another by our agent on ticket 531903, we're prepared to take care of the disbursement change and we just need to do another phone call with you. Rest assured I'll do what I can to have this taken care of.
Best,
Richard
PlayerAuctions runs a marketplace for buying and selling characters, virtual goods and virtual currency from massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs).
PlayerAuctions was started in 1999 by a group of gamers in the states. It was one of the first player to player marketplaces around, becoming a famous hub for earlier games such as Ultima, Diablo 2, and Everquest. It survived on a small scale for years and grew entirely organically through word of mouth, until PlayerAuctions was acquired by Itemmania in Korea.
Being rebuilt from the ground up with proprietary risk management systems, and investment meant to provide a stronger support network for gamers, PlayerAuctions was re-launched in 2008 with offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Korea. Since that time, PlayerAuctions has supported hundreds of games and activities within the wider gaming industry.
At the end of 2013 underwent a structure change to a Product structure which has shifted development focus to an agile development system which resulted in many product expansions in 2014 including Gaming Accessories, CD Key Sales, Cosplay, Trading Cards, and Software Downloads. PlayerAuctions also opened a new support center in Manila 2014 to directly manage and control the quality of services rendered to its users.
Hello Dennis,
Thank you for sharing your review and your thoughts about your experience with this order. I was able to look up the discussion history and I'd like to give you an explanation as to why the review deletion was declined.
First off, I'd like to note that the order was purchased without insurance --- with this, I'm very sorry but we cannot provide any refund if something happens to an order. However, our team will still provide support in mediation and communication.
As for the review, we allow only a maximum of (1) opportunity to change it. This is to keep our reviews as pristine as possible and to avoid it from being influenced by other users as much as possible. Case in point is your seller's message to you --- if what you claim is true, that he wants the negative review to be taken out first before he resolves this, then the review loses its point. The more optimal way of resolving this would be for us to have compelling evidence from you that incriminates the seller as the one responsible for reclaiming the account. In this regard, we cannot delete the review as a pretext for the seller to resolve the case for you. On the other hand, the screenshots we received were insufficient to narrow down on the seller, as the email change on the account could have been initiated by you or anyone else --- it doesn't strictly point to the seller.
Even without insurance, we have provided support on this order and since I don't want you to go empty handed, we messaged your seller again one last time to ask him to resolve this for you. If he replies, we'll be sure to email you about it (and you will know about it too since he should contact you if there are any resolutions).
I'm sorry for any inconveniences, and we hope you understand our stance in this case. Have a good day ahead, Dennis.
Best regards,
Richard
