Some things on here you can buy "instantly"... dont listen. You will need to send them an email of ALL your information. Card, bank, ID. I only spent $40 too haha, and they ask for your life story. All this was supposed to be instant, took 30mins and I did it pretty fast. Go to another site that sells
Tip for consumers:
Go buy somewhere else :)

Waiting 3 weeks for their support to change my disbursement e-mail because I accidentally wrote wrong address. This job shouldn't take more then 24 hours, no matter what. And guess what? They still haven't changed it.
After successful trade, buyer confirmed trade, 2 weeks later buyer decided to scam me and he said to them I haven't delivered items I should and now they will bring money back to buyer?! That is total non-sense, I don't understand how $#*!ty and bad some people are. I can't believe I got scammed so easily by some morons...

I've used the service before in the past with no issues, however my most recent purchase has suddenly required a photo ID, picture of me with the ID, and a utility bill... all for a $10 purchase.
But still, I jumped through the hoops only to be denied because I'm in the military and they don't accept military IDs (aren't those government issued IDs?) and my drivers license is expired (Most states don't require out of state military to renew their license if they're on orders).
This wouldn't be so bad if all this information was required BEFORE purchasing. But nope. They take your money, then require all this extra information that's really above and beyond any other online purchase. It almost feels like some sort of scam.
Just know what you're getting yourself in to if you decide to use this service.

Trust the other reviews below. This site is a complete scam. A "seller" scammed me out of $300+ and when I complained to the so-called "customer service", they suspended me from the site. Needless to say, they never returned the money despite their supposed "vetting" service; when I cordially notified them that I would be pursuing further legal action, their juvenile reply was "Goodluck :)" (verbatim). I repeat, do NOT purchase from this site for your own good; if you must buy items or gold, trust other online sellers with well-earned reputations.

The site isnt perfect -- orders take time and talking to users can be nerve racking but for all of this the site does a good job of protecting you. My order completed without flaws despite any fears i had before and Im happg to say I will most likely use there services again.

Thank you so much for the kind review for us, Kevin. We're grateful for the appreciation. :)
Thankfully I never had any issues. Didnt find the verification to be terrible but I'll say this now if you do not like sending ID's use something else now. If you ok with that then I think their awesome and the gold prices are just insane. Highly recommend Chicksgold.

Thank you so much for the kind review and for sharing your experience, David; I'm happy to know the verification was smooth for you. Hope you enjoy your purchase!
I have bought and sold with player auctions and they have been nothing but honest and friendly with their service. They are the most secure trading website I have seen.
And NO. I am not any way affiliated or in collaboration with PlayerAuctions in Any
Way shape or form. Other than using their site for my own gold selling/buying.

I was supposed to get paid a couple of days ago but it never happened. This site is mostly for scammers trying to make a quick buck. I'm still waiting on playerauctions to pay me. It seems that my account has been disabled as well as I cannot log in.

Hi Tyre,
Thank you for promptly providing the details of your order. I will take a look at this and send you an update as soon as possible. I am sure there is a reason why you are unable to access your account and why your disbursement has been delayed.

This is the worst site I've ever used to purchase from. They make you jump through annoying hoops for hours trying to get you to 'validate' who you are - after they've already taken your money!
They want a selfie with your license, close up of your license and credit card as well as credit card statements. However, what you send never meets their 'requirements' so you have to resend and their response time is very slow so it all takes forever.
Absolute BS - they should just accept PayPal like every other store. Do not waste your time with these absolute spuds

Hello Jason,
Thank you for expressing your sentiments about the service and we're really sorry if you didn't like the process. We initially verify all users/payments and it should be good to go for the next orders as long as the customer's information and payment account stays the same. We have this in place because we need to ensure the validity of user identities and payment authorization to avoid fraud and theft, since we maintain a strong stance against unauthorized payments and fraud activity.
Please look into Coinbase if you plan to order again in the future; BTC is a stored wallet and as such, no longer requires verification and might be an easier way for you to pay.
Best regards,
Richard
A great website for trading accounts and items, a very secure place have not had a bad transaction :) I think it was very much needed and is thriving on the success of the demand that was require for this type of market.

I've made 3 buys from this site, and every single time I am forced with a stupid verification process. They require; a photo id, a bank statement, a selfie holding your ID/bankcard (as if you have 3 arms), able to show USD value on your statement even if you live internationally and unable to do so. They expect you to call your bank outside of hours that you can because you're consistantly working beyond it. Stupid card "vetting" processes. One site moderator will approve you, the other will not because they are in a foul mood. Instantly takes your money, forces a 5 day wait for a refund.
Beyond a joke.
Unable to show images because they are all lengthy emails.

Don't.

Hi Owen,
I'm sorry if you keep getting asked to verify, but I assure you it has nothing to do with any foul moods. Our agents do not take this personally and I hope you don't as well. You may need to verify again if you change payment methods or if you're using Google Pay. Google Pay secures your payment account by masking your credentials and we are given a new number every time you use it. My suggestion is to use your card directly and have that verified.
Best regards,
Richard
Really good quick & reliable service. They send you notifications so you know how the order doin keeps things updated. Then you can take your time check the order and only when your fine can you confirm it. It a nice system.

Thank you so much for appreciating what we do, Dyson; it really means a lot.
I placed an order for an Ark egg. I went to bed, woke up, and next thing I know, my account has been "suspended", the seller of the egg left me a rude message saying, "I just got home. Pa canceled your order apparently your a known scammer^^", and I've STILL been charged for an egg with no egg to show for it. My husband is in the military, and we live in Japan, so I'm not sure if it triggered their system, but the address I had listed was FPO. That should have been sufficient. Don't waste your time with this site. They took my money, didn't give me my item, and made me feel like I did something wrong simply for trying to buy a dinosaur egg. "Scammer", really? I gave one star for the lack of negative star options.

Hello Paulina,
I know it feels terrible to have this issue and I am very sorry for the inconvenience. I have sent an a message to your Sitejabber's inbox, please check on it so we can have this sorted as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Krys
It can be hard to choose at times because of how varied the offers are. But the important thing is to pick your price budget and the server you are on and you should bet set. The site provides that and more.
Date of experience: October 17, 2022
Glad to know you found an offer that works for you, John. Thanks a lot for the nice rating.
Rather the seller or those on the end of customer service, i've had to deal with both a couple times and I barely used the site.
Just awful, and they want pictures of you and your cards and all this sketchy stuff too. My last time using them was sending photos for a few hrs for verification only for them to send an email back to resend another one atleast 5 times, even with instructions followed. So, I had to wait to get my money back by cancelling when they could of just done their job. They didn't and they won't care about you if things go south.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. I reccommend eldorado.gg

Hello DW,
We're very sorry, we could process the order yet because the selfie we received is very blurry and does not comply with our requirements. We need them to be in high resolution and in clear view, both the face portrait and the ID details, to ensure we're receiving authentic validation documents that prove who you are. We coincide this with checking your payment account to ensure the authorized user is the one actually using the payment on our site, thus complying with our anti-fraud policies.
We actually care and this is why we put this security process first before our earnings. We hope you understand but we have a strict ethical obligation to prevent card theft and fraud.
Best regards,
Richard
The seller was a top notch pro who handled everything with my order. He had confirmation stops along the way ensuring the order was up to date. I feel some of it was unnecessary but I really appreciate the attention to detail.

Thanks a lot for the awesome review, Sauro! Much appreciated.
Purchased an OW account, had it for about 10 days before it was taken back by the seller and I lost everything. Contacted support, they refused to help me because "the transaction was completed", sent a chargeback through paypal and they banned me from PlayerAuctions for it lol. They'll do anything to make sure they keep your money, even if you get scammed in the process.

Been seeing this site for several times now and decided to give it a go some time before. The verification portion was honestly worrying but I figured it's not so different with the process with Skrill or Coinbase even Paypal except Paypal isnt on this site. In any case it turned out ok and the process felt easy and secure. I went back for another order and they didnt verify me again. Both orders were fantastic and the seller was absolutely friendly and upstanding guy.

Thank you very much for the back-to-back order and for the trust. This means a lot to us, Chelly.
For currency, PlayerAuctions is head and shoulders higher than all competition I have tried, both in price and delivery times. I've never had a poor experience with currencies.
The only reason I went with four stars, is I've had some issues with account transactions in the past, most went rather well, but it's always the one that does not that sticks in the memory. However, for the most part, even account transactions go well.

I sold a Warcraft account her took them a month to send the money then they cancelled it 25 minutes later. Blocked me on facebook, ignored a weeks worth of emails, I have proof of them blocking me on facebook.
Update: They FINALLY gave me the money - So i decided i'd order something else to see if this was just a one time mistake - Anyhow. Bad decision, first seller didn't deliver. Cancelled it, out $80 for probably another month, ordered another account - they said their system got stuck after taking my money out of my bank account, and then said they couldn't fix it so i'd have to cancel again, and then wait 1-3 days for a refund ( thats what they said it would take to get the money from selling my account too, which turned into 60 days). Sad, used to like this website alot.

Hi Sam,
Did you contact our Customer Support team as soon as this happened? If so, we follow a certain process to help you out. We at PlayerAuctions do not block people on Facebook or ignore emails; did you mean to say that the seller did?
In any case, I'd like to work with you to resolve any issues you're having. Can you send me a private message including your PlayerAuctions username and the Order ID for this account?
Hope to hear back from you soon!
Thanks,
Lei

Having a 3rd party when dealing in the virtual buying and selling marketplace really makes the experience so much better. They have a reasonable price for their service and I haven't had any problems with the site at all in the 4 years I've been dealing in Virtual Accounts.
A++++ in my book

Tried selling my unused Clash account and though it was a long period to get it sold (3 weeks about), the service is genuine and I got my money (they take fees though but yeah it can't be free for sure I know).
Solid means to get rid of old MMO stuff.

Thank you very much for the trust and patronage; we're happy to hear about your successful sale, Gerry!
This site is just as much of a scam as buying a rolex from a guy stood in a dark alley for £10. Seller recovers account that I have insurance on he tells me he has done it jagex say he has done it. There team says there is not enough proof and it doesn't prove anything. Avoid!
Date of experience: January 2, 2017
It is a very sketchy website, they offer insurance to protect the product you are purchasing but it doesn't matter in the end cause they just pocket that money and favor whoever they want to. I got scammed out of $500 when I purchased a Fortnite account. The seller recovered it back two weeks after the original transaction was made and I opened a dispute only to lose it the next day. Website only allows photos and screenshots for proof so it's hard to prove my account was taken. Despite the seller changing the name back to what it was before he sold the account. Never ever purchasing or selling anything on this dreadful website. Awful support.
Date of experience: March 14, 2019
Hello Raul,
I am sorry to hear about what happened with your Fortnite account. For disputes and mediations, we require buyers to submit compelling proof and we need this even if insurance was purchased (shown here: https://i.imgur.com/xuvAhYo.png). We have this in place in order to make the process fair to the seller, as well as for us to validate claims by our users. As per our team, all options were already exhausted for this case and they even extended the submission/reply time for you; however, without conclusive proof, we cannot enact the refund.
If you have further questions or concerns about this, please get in touch with support@playerauctions.zendesk.com so we can assist you, Raul.
Best regards,
Richard
Terrible support system - I attempted to use this website to cash-out some virtual GP and was struck with issues after issues trying to change my cashout method. It had been set to paypal 2 years prior when I used the website - and now they do not offer paypal. They will do anything to get out of paying people - making it as impossible as they can. As other issues below were stating it is too big of a hassle to purchase or sell items to be worth it. You MAY potentially get scammed of your money
Until they resolve their support team and set up a proper selling system I will no longer be using this website.

Hello Justin,
I received your concern through our TrustPilot account and via our ticketing system. I am now in the process of resolving this, and I just sent you a reply to your ticket. Could you please check on it? I'll see to it that you get disbursed soon, and there won't be any need to close your account for good.
Best,
Richard
PlayerAuctions runs a marketplace for buying and selling characters, virtual goods and virtual currency from massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs).
PlayerAuctions was started in 1999 by a group of gamers in the states. It was one of the first player to player marketplaces around, becoming a famous hub for earlier games such as Ultima, Diablo 2, and Everquest. It survived on a small scale for years and grew entirely organically through word of mouth, until PlayerAuctions was acquired by Itemmania in Korea.
Being rebuilt from the ground up with proprietary risk management systems, and investment meant to provide a stronger support network for gamers, PlayerAuctions was re-launched in 2008 with offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Korea. Since that time, PlayerAuctions has supported hundreds of games and activities within the wider gaming industry.
At the end of 2013 underwent a structure change to a Product structure which has shifted development focus to an agile development system which resulted in many product expansions in 2014 including Gaming Accessories, CD Key Sales, Cosplay, Trading Cards, and Software Downloads. PlayerAuctions also opened a new support center in Manila 2014 to directly manage and control the quality of services rendered to its users.
Hi Brett,
We offer "Instant Delivery" but not instant processing. We perform this procedure to avoid fraud and theft, so we have to verify the person's ownership of the payment account being used. I'm sorry if you had inconveniences with this. In case you decide to purchase again, we offer PayDo and Coinbase as alternatives that do not require verification. Kindly let me know if you have further concerns that I can help with, Brett.
Regards,
Richard
