I sold a Tibia account on this website recently and a few days later the buyer claimed to them that I recovered it, which did not happen. He ADMITTED that he has the account and uses it actively on the website's messenger to me. And here I am, 7 days later, having sent all the appropriate screenshots, still not paid and no update on the status of the case. Either this website is a scam or the people that work for it are completely $#*!ing useless.
I'm just gonna take my account back, PlayerAuctions has been by far one of the biggest hassles I've ever tried to deal with. 0/10 Would not recommend. Also, avoid doing any type of business with kingtonygg, he is the scammer that thought he could steal my account.

NGL the payment process had me worried but in the end I understood why they did it. The deal later on was safe and the method done by the seller to get the order to me was actually impressive, and best part is we didn't talk ingame at all which removes any risk (and I guess that's the reason this site has a chat function).

The account got recovered by its owner. When I emailed the website about this situation, they told me I have to prove that the account was recovered by its original owner. I then filed a report under this account to Riot. I asked Riot if the account can only be recovered by it original owner. Riot confirmed that in the email. I then emailed screenshots to playersaunction, however they repeat sending me the same response, which is asking to provide the proof, which I did. After a certain days the site closed my case and just ignored my request. Avoiding buying anything from this web. Please ignore my grammar

Hello Maxwell,
I am sorry to hear about what happened with your purchase. However, as per checking, the insurance coverage for the order already ended last November 2017. While we may still assist you with this, we can no longer provide a refund for this nor can we ask your seller an account replacement for this.
If you have any further questions, please use the Q&A form here at SiteJabber, and I would be happy to address them for you.
Best,
Richard
The website is well maintained very clear and I felt very safe making my transaction. It also allows us to visit the people selling the items to see if they are actual real merchants. My overall experience was excellent and I would recommend this website to another person!

The worst experience i've ever had! They have such payment risk system that is the worst crap ever made. Even after verifying with ID and everything, payments failed from their side. And the only solution they come with is to use crypto currency instead. That's not a solution!
Tip for consumers:
Look elsewhere if you want to avoid big problems.. Good sellers but horrible website and payment system....

Hello Soren,
We're very sorry for the inconvenience. We found security issues with the payment and it's temporarily restricted; you should be able to purchase again by February 17. This is the reason why our team suggested for you to use Coinbase/crypto for now. Rest assured that payments for declined orders will be automatically and fully refunded.
Best regards,
Richard
I went to buy an account, paid for it, said it was accepted then the "system" cut it off, but didnt refund the money they took. This is a problem and looks like a common one. Could make a sweet profit if you do it the legit way.

Hi Michael,
I'm sorry for the inconvenience with this. You will be automatically refunded but I'm afraid your current payment account is not allowed due to security issues. Please look into Skrill or cryptocurrency as payment; crypto does not require verification and should go through easily.
Best,
Richard
Will always go back here if I need anything more for my games. And look, game trading will always be dangerous. I strongly suggest anyone to stick to gold and credits and you'll be fine. Account purchases are always risky whether you buy here G2G Eldorado what have you. Trade safely and GL.

Thank you very much for the positive rating and for sharing your tips, Pedro.
I have lost a dispute when it clearly had some evidence on my site. I wanted them atleast to check the dispute on the easiest level but they had no effort for it. The original owner of the google account somehow got it back and mysteriously he changed the password 3 month ago when the account also was sold the second time 3 month ago. They did not even want to check the orders for screenshots and stuff to clearly check if the account got double sold. They searched the easiest way out even tho I used to buy the insurance to be safe. Never ever trust into them guys.

Hello Julian,
I'm very sorry that the turnout was not in your favor. I checked with our team and the evidence received was insufficient - please note that even with insurance packages, we will still require users to validate their claim. I'm also sorry because the one you sent was inconclusive; In order to make the process fair, we have to rule out that the evidence incriminates the other user beyond any shadow of a doubt.
If you have further questions or concerns, please let me know, Julian.
Best regards,
Richard
You need to make it possible for people to pay with credit cards. When you verify that the card holder is using their bank account the credit card takes any charge and rounds it up to $1.00. I went through the process of filling all of my information in like 4 times because of this. Finally when I switched to debit card it worked. But then after verifying that the account was mine, I had to fill in all of my information yet again. This is counter-intuitive. If you just verified that I was using my account, it is obvious that I am going to be paying with that same exact account or else you would reject my payment for not using a verified bank account. The information should be auto filled in. It is just a pain to continually fill all of that in over and over and over again. Please make your site a little more functional. I appreciate your attempt to verify bank accounts before accepting payments. Great idea, but it needs to function better. Please address this.

This is the worst website for real world trading or gold buying ever. The customer service is trash, they wouldnt refund my money when they suspended my account for making multiple accounts, which they neglected to tell me was a violation for the terms of use. They take forever to reply and to update your account information and what not. Kids, just dont do it. This website blows major $#*!.
Date of experience: February 18, 2014
Hi Johnny,
Please provide your user ID, I'd be happy to look into this for you. If you were banned for having multiple accounts, our Customer Support should tell you right away this is the case, as well as providing you with the option of verifying your identity if indeed the link analysis is not correct (or if that linked account belongs to a friend, etc).
I would be glad to look into this for you.
Cheers,
PlayerAuctions
I bought a lol account on november. On january, the original owner recovered the account, i sent an email to them, after 2 months they havent answered me. 0 protection to the seller. If you want to sell something here, better do it yourself but you can still use this web, but if you are going to buy DON'T DO IT ON THIS WEB. 300$ lost.
P. D: You can see on the attached photos the last and only answer i got from them to my problem, and the poor arguments the seller had to convince me he was the original owner.
Tip for consumers:
If you are a buyer, do not buy on this web, if you have any trouble with the account, they will ignore you.

The team was very patient in talking to me, I had several questions and doubts during the payment to which they replied in a good way and time. The seller was also patient offering tips which are already beyond what they were required to do. Overall, pretty good trade and I would do it again!

Thanks a lot for the kind words and detailed review, Paul. We are absolutely grateful for this!
Bells can be hard to find on the net, moreso any trusted seller that won't run away with your money so I'm glad they have a few offers for it. It's understandably few but the important thing is that they have stocks that are ready to go when you need it.

Thanks a lot, Ella. I'm glad to know you were able to find a good deal for it on the site. :)
Buying accounts is always very sketchy, and I had been looking for sites where I could buy an account without fear of being scammed. This website is set up in such a good way, you can see how trustworthy the sellers are, and if you still aren't sure, you can buy a 1 year insurance for a small price, overall the safety is very refreshing.
Tip for consumers:
Be very wary of scammers on this site, the insurance is a very good option

Hi Waseem,
Thank you for the very kind review and sentiments; we're also grateful for the pro-tip you've shared.
Hope you enjoy your new Clash account!

Overall a positive buying experience. Website is easy to navigate, made gold buying a breeze.
Messaging system could be "enhanced" as it can be difficult to send quick messages to sellers about in stock gold and deliver times / availability.

Their verification process can really be strict and some sellers are outright unfriendly but it does what it promises to do.
Some things you need to know: they ask for IDs if you use cards. Not all sellers have good service (they do not sell. Instead they allow buyers and sellers to deal on the site) and deliveries still need you to talk to the seller for some time.
If your ok with all of that than the site is for you.

Thank you so much for the detailed and fair feedback, Haze. I'm sorry if you had issues with the process but I'm also glad that you were able to complete it smoothly.
Playerauctions have are great. They provide a safe environment to purchase in-game goods with no doubt of receiving those goods. In the past I've purchased online goods only to never hear back, but player-auctions changed that! Always am provided with the goods purchased. 100% recommend

Thank you so much, Bekir!
I was attempting to purchase an account and after filling my form of payment the page refreshed i check my bank account and i was charged but when i goto the my order it says pending payment as if i never proceeded to check out so i get charged for filling form of payment and get charged again for actually paying for the account or whatever it is you are buying after cancelling i was refunded 1 out of the 2 charges

Hello, Jashua,
Refunds for declined/canceled payments are automatic, but I have now asked our staff to check on this. Please contact your payment provider as well, it's possible for the funds to be stuck at their end and you have to let them know that the payment was already canceled so they can return the funds back to you.
The void transaction ID for this is: 176375
Sorry for the inconvenience you had with this.
Best,
Richard
Incompetent, unprofessional and inexperienced time wasters support literally been waiting for 8 days for my little problem to not even be solved 4 days of telling me my id was blurry and needed to take other selfies (the selfie was completely readable) I feel like they are ignoring me and trying to gain some time on me I literally don't recommend any seller to start selling on this platform! Avoid them, avoid them and avoid them and until I get my money back you bet this isn't gonna stop

Hi, smokethisblunt,
Rest assured, we're not trying to gain time or anything with this — the delay with your disbursement affects us, too, and it's in our best interest to process this ASAP. However, the documents were indeed blurry so our agents needed to request for a clearer copy.
I've now asked for a follow up for order 11244985. We apologize for the continued inconvenience with this.
Regards,
Richard
I've bought multiple accounts on player auctions without any problems. But recently i tried buying an account and the order was canceled but my money was taken and never refunded. And it sucks they have no customer service or any type of help service. I cant make contact to anyone because i cant dispute.

Hello Levi,
I'm truly sorry about this. I was able to consult the respective department about this, and the good news is that the refund has already been processed. This is your transaction ID: 8T9244652R681784V. I sincerely apologize that you weren't able to get any sort of response, but if you continue to have problems, please use the Q&A form of SiteJabber so I can assist you.
Hope you have a good day, Levi!

Buying with safety and security is number 1 on my list of things when it comes to buying stuff online and with there player guardian service I never felt scared of not getting the product I ordered and losing my money. Would recommend to others.

Thanks to the fine folks managing the site and the upstanding seller I got in touch with goldpl. The service was outstanding. Speed could use some bump but overall the whole thing wrapped up rather nicely.

Thank you very much, I'm happy to hear about the smooth experience you had, Trevor.
Well in general. The site is easy to use, and easy to navigate. Everything is easy, when it comes to placing orders and finding things.
I have no real complaints, overall they are very good at what they do. The only reason why i wouldn't give them 5 stars, is because of 1 thing.
1. Registration, would at times reset or bug slightly out, and would give me random errors, when verifying.
Date of experience: March 21, 2015
After verification my order completed in less than 3 minutes. Verification was about 20+. Super quick system and I will definitely order again (I was told the next order won't need me to verify again so that's a relief).
Date of experience: February 26, 2023
Thanks a lot for sharing the positive experience you had, Jiro. And yes, verification is only done once unless there are changes with your account. Thanks again!
Game stuff trading - Something that when we hear, we imagine scams, frauds, loss. PlayerAuctions changed the definition of it! In regards of other Game-trading sites, PlayerAuctions holds the best image in my eyes. I agree with some sellers that service charge is a bit high but it is worth saving folks from scams. Even when I find someone to trade off the site, I ask him to make a offer on PlayerAuctions and then, let's get the thing rolling.
Salute to PlayerGuardian technology of PlayerAuctions!

PlayerAuctions runs a marketplace for buying and selling characters, virtual goods and virtual currency from massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs).
PlayerAuctions was started in 1999 by a group of gamers in the states. It was one of the first player to player marketplaces around, becoming a famous hub for earlier games such as Ultima, Diablo 2, and Everquest. It survived on a small scale for years and grew entirely organically through word of mouth, until PlayerAuctions was acquired by Itemmania in Korea.
Being rebuilt from the ground up with proprietary risk management systems, and investment meant to provide a stronger support network for gamers, PlayerAuctions was re-launched in 2008 with offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Korea. Since that time, PlayerAuctions has supported hundreds of games and activities within the wider gaming industry.
At the end of 2013 underwent a structure change to a Product structure which has shifted development focus to an agile development system which resulted in many product expansions in 2014 including Gaming Accessories, CD Key Sales, Cosplay, Trading Cards, and Software Downloads. PlayerAuctions also opened a new support center in Manila 2014 to directly manage and control the quality of services rendered to its users.
Thank you very much for bearing with the payment process, Mario. As long as you use the same payment on your next orders, you won't need to verify again.
