Received the order in about 30 minutes. No fuss at all. Site was also good to use they have filters and search for all offers, found what I needed to purchase right away.

The only problem I have with playerauctions is the staff is very slow about handling orders. They will keep your money up to 2 months before they give a refund. About handling cases... other then that the site is very good

I have used this service for around a year now and they have never let me down they are a great service for online gaming that is needed by casual gamers or for gamers that want to complete achievements quickly so they have more time for other things

I used PA to power level 2 toons. The seller claimed hand-leveling and that no automated processes would be used. Not long after my account was suspended for 6 months because of 3rd party bots. I contacted PA live chat and was told that they were swamped with people complaining about the same issue because of Blizzard's November Hammer. I was told that I would be compensated... blah, blah. I kept the chat logs, they kept making promises, I contacted them 6 times over 3 weeks and now they say there is nothing they can do. So, they string you along with false promises hoping you'll get fed-up and stop bothering them. I'm now out of pocket $55 and my account will be stripped of all gold and achievements. To say that PA sucks would be a gross understatement. This is a legitimate review, the positive ones are not!

Nice staff and sellers. Good prices-wouldnt say best but they are competent. Availability is awesome since the seller community is just big. Finally the security is just perfect. These guys take things seriously.

Thank you so much for the detailed and kind review, Edwin.
It is my first time logging back into this site in a long time since just starting wow classic back up. My account looked good so I placed an order. Got order confirmation and money was taken from my account. Within 1-2 minutes of order confirmation and fund withdrawal, my account was suspended. Now what the hell do I do?
Date of experience: April 26, 2020
Hello Jesse,
Rest assured that you will get a full refund on the declined payment. As for the account, you were suspended because we found an earlier account of yours on the site that you already requested to be closed. For security reasons, we treat this as final — I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Best,
Richard
Horrible. It has been over a week now and they have yet to send me my money. After spending 20 minutes on the phone yesterday explaining the difference between a contact e mail and a payment e mail they have yet to pay me. Today when I contacted them they told me I would have to confirm my e mail AGAIN. So what was yesterday for? $#*!s and giggles? Will never be using them again. And will be filing suit if they hold my payment another day
Tip for consumers:
Go somewhere else if you expect to be paid in a timely manner

Hello Dylan,
I know this is a very old order, but I wanted to reach out to you because it appears the payment is still with us. I have now released it back on queue; could you please check this Friday or Monday (August 10 or 13) if the payment will make its way to you? Let us know so we can send you the payment.
Best regards,
Richard
Made an order and originally it was only for some gil. The seller through in some extra mats although we had to use the market (bought them for cheap gil). It was really nice and the seller is awesome! Also, hi from Tonberry/Oceania!

We're very happy to hear about the extras, Aiden. Thanks a lot for sharing this. :)
Provide good reliable service. Waiting time can extend but if happens you can PM seller, sometime they are from other time zones and it cannt be avoid. You can PM first to ask what time it is online.
If no replies you can cancel order and move to other offer. This is security provides by the website so dont buy yet if your not to sure.

Thank you very much for the kind and detailed review for us, Jang. We appreciate the pro tips and I hope it helps readers; many thanks.
PlayerAuctions is a great website for buying anything from another video game player. I love the built in tools for safely trading such as PlayerAuctions holding onto the money until the game material is verified to be what the seller advertised, and also the insurance policies they offer to protect the game material being taken back by the seller.

Buyers beware! This website forces you to send them a copy of your government ID for "identity verification" before you can complete even the smallest of purchases. The only exception to this is if you purchase items with crypto. Overall this a very dangerous practice for customers which I wouldn't recommend for the sake of identity fraud.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use the website
Date of experience: November 13, 2021
Hello Tony,
It looks problematic and grave when you say "it forces", our website never forces users to send their IDs for verification. Buyers are welcome to decide not to send the documents and be able to receive a full and automatic refund. However, we need this to establish the buyer's identity and prevent fraud or theft — without the documents, we cannot proceed. The documents are never shared elsewhere, treated confidentially, and are actually deleted when your ticket closes.
No, it's not dangerous. This is just your paranoia and opinion speaking, I'm afraid.
Regards,
Richard
Found a good deal and the rest of the order was handled nicely --- both the seller and the site played they're part well and I'm happy with the purchase.
I don't think I'll be buying again. No offense just that it's a one time need but I will definitily choose your site again if I need more.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Colin; glad you found an account you wanted. Hope you have fun gaming on it!
This is a great site to buy AND sell. I have used PlayerAuctions since 2016, and with little to no issues other than those that I cause myself. The only con of the site is that there is no longer the helpful live chat. Emailing take longer in general, and the live chat was just helpful all around to solving issues with being scammed like I went through at one time. The tax on PA is a bit high, but it is what is necessary for your purchases and items that you sell to be secure all the way through. Overall, this is a great and safe site!

It's not the safest at all. PlayerAUctions is the only site I've ever dealt with having problems with. It's been over a month now, still waiting to get paid. Biggest mistake ever was choosing to go with playerauctions.

The game account I purchased from them got reclaimed despite all my efforts to secure the account (change password, change recovery email, put 2 step verification, etc.). When I complained to them, they suspended my account so that I can no longer complain.

Was able to play fine for like 7 months when all of a sudden I had no access to the Fortnite account I bought. No access to the account or the email I was provided. I submitted an "account was reclaimed GAR dispute" and posted the evidence with the screenshots. Playerauctions replied stating if the seller didn't respond within 72 hours, the dispute would escalate. 3 days later I get an email saying playerauctions had reached a verdict. I follow the link to find the message "The PlayerAuctions Final Resolution Committee has completed its impartial review of the reported dispute and found in favor of vukoluca154's demands." So no refund! I had all the evidence and the seller didn't have to say a word. Looks really bad on playerauctions, I don't think it's crazy to say they might even be part of the scam. I even bought "buyer's protection" which doesn't protect anything apparently. I will NEVER order from this website again for anything.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it. Save your money.

Hi Brandon,
I'm sorry but the evidence you sent is insufficient. We need to establish that the seller took away your account and that is what your evidence should show. One way you can do this is by acquiring a screenshot of correspondence from the game company, informing you that the account was returned to the original owner or was taken back by them. You bought protection and you still have 110 days on it — you may still reopen the case and send compelling evidence during that. Our doors remain open.
Regards,
Richard
Many people believe this isn't trust worthy for buyers, but I experienced how it isn't trust worthy for sellers either. Buyers will just buy the account and submit a dispute a few days later after gaining full access to the account. Playerauction will 95% of the time side with the buyer and make you refund them and will do nothing in their power to get your account back. So you will be out your account and money and on-top of that player action has the audacity to charge you a 35 dollar fee for losing the case. Do avoid this site at all cost!

Hi Al,
The buyer was able to prove that he was left unassisted with his issue about the account. Please note that we always require sellers to assist buyers when a report is made. As for the account, you should be able to recover it with your recovery info; if not, then it most likely means you have incomplete information about it and that is going to cause trouble down the line even if you complete the order. Accounts are generally required to be recoverable so that if anything happens, you can protect yourself as a seller by showing our team proof that you recovered the account involved for the buyer anytime the buyer reports the account to be lost.
Regards,
Richard
I had to contact support due to outdated account info, everything was resolved in 3 e-mails and 1 phone call (please work on your call quality I could hardly understand what a person from support was telling me). As for site itself they charge a bit too high comission in my opinion, and there should be some e-mail notification when offer is bought but before payment (scared me a bit when I couldn't find my offer and it was reserved due to being before payment) overall 4/5 is a fair rating.

Went to buy things for $30, they asked for sooo much personal information, it's absolutely disgusting, and to my knowledge, illegal.
This is what they wanted.
1) photo of your ID.
2. Selfie while holding your card and ID beside you. Your face must not be blocked and should be clearly identifiable.
3. Photos of my cards used for the purchase
4. Bank proof of a screen shot the whole page showing the payment details for this order.

Hi Jared,
I'm really sorry if this concerned you. Rest assured that canceled orders are fully refunded.
As for the process itself, we need to validate identities and authorization for the payment; even other payment portals ask the same. We never share your info and they are treated professionally and confidentially — they are only used for verification.
You may use Skrill Bank Transfer or crypto currency in case you'd like to try buying again.
Best regards,
Richard
Perfect website for items or quick currency
Its for people like me that dont have all the time in the world to grind
But to enjoy game play to the next level either it being the top tier items or currency it only gets better

This website is the biggest scam, after days of contacting seller I finally received details and then to make it worst they were all listed as N/A. Another few days pass and I got into the acc I payed good money for! Account password has been changed and now I'm locked out of my acc. I knew this website was dodgy asf and NSWRcompany are nothing but money scamming scums. Lucky this is internet because I'd kill you dog!

Hi Lochie,
I'm sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. We did not receive sufficient evidence for your claim and I'm afraid the order did not come with after-sale protection. Please note, we require both so the order can be eligible for a refund.
For more information, please check here:
https://support.playerauctions.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402691743257
If the order came with "N/A" details, you may report them to us and even if the order did not come with after-sale protection, you can be refunded. Accepting the order under those conditions means you understand what you're receiving, and you are the only one who can verify these details with the seller. Users may always decline or dispute the order during this stage.
Best regards,
Richard
Their staff was super kind and guided me along the way. I had a few questions about the documents and the answeres were detailed. Once submitted the order took less than 30 mins to complete and Iwas already playing on the account shortly. Very good service.

Thank you so much for being patient with the process, Ian. Hope you enjoy the order!
I bought a runescape account from playerauctions a few months back with insurance and it got recovered. I had my email registered to the account, so the only person who could of have recovered it was the seller using his IP adress & payment IDs. I made a dispute on the site and they flat out declared it to the favor of the seller with no explanation. Contacted support many times and they avoided my questions and were not helpful at all. I did not get any sort of refund even though i had insurance. I will not be using playerauctions again after this experience.

Hi there, Mark,
Sorry to hear about what happened with your Runescape OS account purchase. I understand this can be frustrating but I'd like to explain the process. When something like this happens, a dispute is escalated by the buyer and during this dispute process, the buyer is required to submit compelling evidence to prove that the game account was reclaimed. The evidence our team would like to see is an email screenshot from the game publisher telling the buyer that the account was reclaimed or recovered by the previous owner. There can be variants to this, but it revolves around this idea. Upon checking, I also found out that you filed a chargeback case on your payment option and unfortunately, we have to suspend cases like these as chargeback cases preclude us from offering support and it totally eliminates the mediation process we have in place.
I will send you a PM to establish communication and in case you decide to reverse the chargeback case, please let me know so I can offer to find a compromise for your case here in SiteJabber.
Kind regards,
Richard
The payment methods can be hard to use, due to the nature of the business, but that's totally understandable. Customer support was very helpful, and it was easy to use paypal. Assuming the account is delivered, this will be great

PlayerAuctions runs a marketplace for buying and selling characters, virtual goods and virtual currency from massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs).
PlayerAuctions was started in 1999 by a group of gamers in the states. It was one of the first player to player marketplaces around, becoming a famous hub for earlier games such as Ultima, Diablo 2, and Everquest. It survived on a small scale for years and grew entirely organically through word of mouth, until PlayerAuctions was acquired by Itemmania in Korea.
Being rebuilt from the ground up with proprietary risk management systems, and investment meant to provide a stronger support network for gamers, PlayerAuctions was re-launched in 2008 with offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Korea. Since that time, PlayerAuctions has supported hundreds of games and activities within the wider gaming industry.
At the end of 2013 underwent a structure change to a Product structure which has shifted development focus to an agile development system which resulted in many product expansions in 2014 including Gaming Accessories, CD Key Sales, Cosplay, Trading Cards, and Software Downloads. PlayerAuctions also opened a new support center in Manila 2014 to directly manage and control the quality of services rendered to its users.
Thank you so much for sharing the good experience you had, Gabriel.
