Service is legit and good. A bit shame they have no paypal but I was able to work out skrill somehow (hard to create accounts there but it woulnt be fair to put Playerauction at fault) anyway purchase went through correctly and at least the price is reeeeally good..

I purchased an Old School Runescape account and 5 days after the purchase, the account was hacked back and now I don't get a reply from anyone! I purchased insurance on this account, so all I want is a refund!

Hi JD N.,
I am sorry to hear about your account being reclaimed and also for the delayed response of our support team.
I would like to assist you with the issue can you please provide me with the Order ID thru private message so that I can take a look?
Again, I do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I will be waiting for your response.

After writing my review, Richard from PlayerAuctions contacted me regarding my complaint and dealt with it swiftly and professionally and issued me compensation. I'm going to be giving PlayerAuctions another shot and I hope for a successful purchase!

Thank you so much for updating us, Adam. Please feel free to contact us again here if you ever run into any difficulties, and we'd be more than happy to help. Good luck on your next purchase and I hope you find what you're looking for!:)
Best regards,
Richard
I recently purchased a Runescape Account from a seller on PlayerAuctions and opted to pay into their insurance system which is valid for 1 year from purchase. This option is advertised as so:
"PlayerAuctions offers insurance packages (full refund, valid 1 year) which protect against the rare event of your purchased game account ever being irrecoverably reclaimed by a previous owner."
The account I purchased was recovered within 1 week so I went through PlayerAuctions resolution center and submitted my evidence, the seller didn't even reply within 72 hours. After the 72 hours the case went into 'manual resolution' and was favored towards the seller with no additional information or evidence requested.
The seller already has bad feedback for scamming (Couple of days after my order)

I bought two times and paid. The money was sent to Playerauctions but was not send to the seller. So the seller did not send what I bought. I send more then 5 e-mails and they have a standart way to response that does not solve the problem. No one really helps you. I lost my money!
Date of experience: February 14, 2023
Hello Leonardo,
This is false, I'm also not sure what you meant by "standard" reply; our team specifically informed you the orders were canceled.
10167794 - Your payment for this did not authorize and it could be an issue with your bank; it's also possible you did not click "Pay Now" on the order and just set up the payment for this
10162843 - The order was canceled because the offer is no longer available, as it's canceled by your seller
Your money for both orders was just charged and they will be reversed as a refund back to you in 7+ days. PlayerAuctions does not have the money and you have not lost them.
Regards,
Richard
I purchased a Runescape account through PlayerAuctions. A week later, the seller reclaimed the account. I had bought the insurance from PA. I submitted multiple screenshots and emails from the game publisher proving I no longer had the account but PA said that all of this was not proof enough that the seller reclaimed and they would not refund my money. So I lost $133.00. The seller has done this at least twice. His name is Jezi. Don't buy from PA or from Jezi.
Date of experience: September 18, 2016
SCAM do not buy from Playerautions. You will lose your money and they stall and stall and review your case and keep your money. PlayerAuctions replies below to look professional. They did not refund my money. Their insurance is worthless. Play for free for a while by joining an alliance. Buy account from your alliance team members.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from PlayerAuctions. PERIOD!!! YOU have been warned.

Hi Mark S.
I am sorry to hear about the issue with the your order. I would like to help you out. Kindly send me the Order ID thru private message so that I can look up the order on my end and also create a follow up with the appropriate team.
I do hope you give us a chance to assist you.
Kind Regards,
Bernadette
I bought an account for 50 dollars and then it said payment failed so I I tried a few more times and same thing till I did gpay and worked realizing that I'm now 160 dollars in the negative with my bank worst site ever won't be using this again
Date of experience: November 3, 2021
Hi Cameron,
From my end, I can see you made two purchases:
8207256 - This is the newest, this one is successful and it's already completed
8207238 - This purchase was done previously and the payment didn't continue, it seems the "Pay Now" button was not pressed
I didn't find anything wrong with this and if you're concerned about the payment made on the previous order, please rest assured that you will be refunded. Refunds take 2-5 business days. I'm sorry if it appears concerning but refunds are taken care of by payment providers. We do not receive the money and it's still with them.
Sincerely,
Richard
I have used their services multiple times and all have been delivered same day. However, there are some serious risks associated with purchasing from PlayerAuctions (and I suppose any competing service). First, on your first purchase they want for you to take screenshots of your online CC account showing your account number and the proof of purchase. Be sure to redact all but the last 4 digits of your account/CC number and any part of the URL that is unique to your account. Second, shortly after receiving my last delivery i receive an in game chat stating to visit 'AccountWarcraft.com' else my account will be suspended. A quick 'WhoIs' shows this domain name is owned by someone/thing in China. So, basically the people that I just did a transaction with tried to phish me into logging into a bogus site with my WoW account credentials. I don't think this is PlayerAuctions fault but how do I trust purchasing through them again?

Hi Chris,
Thank you for explaining the concern you have and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
First off, I'm glad to see you order went through smoothly; your seller is one of our upstanding members. As for the payment information customers send us, I'd like to verify a few things.
We go through this process to be able to validate the customer's identity and his/her authorization of the payment being made. Both are important in order to comply with our anti-fraud/anti-theft policies. The documents and information customers send us are used for verification purposes only; they are treated confidentially and are never shared outside of PlayerAuctions. Further, they are kept in encrypted servers and as an additional measure, all of these info/documents are periodically wiped, and this is why we ask customers for the same after some time. Given the nature and anonymity of online transactions, this method is our own time-proven way to efficiently ensure the security of payments made at PlayerAuctions.
We also make it a point to inform users to cover the credit card number and to only show the last 4 digits, since our desire with this is to validate that the owner is in possession of the actual card.
The person/party who contacted you in-game, as you've said, is not connected with PlayerAuctions. Unfortunately, these are prevalent sellers in online games who "directly market" their services to basically anyone inside the game. Sadly, they resort to concerning threats such as informing people that they will get banned, etc. to coerce people to buy from them. The fact of the matter is that whether you received your game account from our sellers or not, at some point in time, these people will still be able to contact you in the game. Your WoW account credentials are not in danger.
Thank you for expressing your concerns, and I'm really grateful for the constructive approach. I apologize again for the concern this has caused. If you have any other questions, please use the Q&A form here in SIteJabber. I would be more than happy to attend to them.:)
Best regards,
Richard
Got convinced by a guildie to try them for some extra gil. Not really a groundbreaking amount, just enough for me to get back to crafting and some house improvements and I got more than I asked for as the service was phenomenal. Best of all, it was very private. Thanks!

Thank you very much for sharing the smooth and positive experience you had, Sam. We're very happy about this. :)
This site has become worse and worse... bought something from thier site and they asking for verification (for the 3rd times) and they let it sit there for 3 days without reply... have to look for different place now

Hello Sa,
I'm sorry for the recent inconveniences with your orders; the verification system is required whenever there are security considerations for a payment. I checked on order 6213532 and the transaction is already underway. Thank you very much for extending your patience with us on this.
Best,
Richard
It was the first time i used this platform and in my first buy i almost got scammed... they send me information for the account after their player gaurdain failed to detect the account doesn't exist... immediately opened a dispute and takes 3 days after escalation for the team to take over and anothor 3 days for them to let me know what they decide.
Damn that a week om my life gone to waste because of poor and bad service and i dont even know if they are going to refund me...
Date of experience: August 2, 2020
Hello Morne-Louis,
I checked and your order is now currently in a dispute; this is a good first step in resolving the matter as it lets our team know that there is a serious issue with the order. I viewed our logs and as per checking, the account exists during the time of checking, and the seller may have changed the information. Rest assured that this will be fully deliberated in the dispute and I strongly advise you to continue responding there so our staff can help you with this.
Best regards,
Richard
Bought from this site since it advertised as the safest around. I wish i checked these kind of sites first. After and account I bought got hacked back after 2 days they told me they couldn't do anything for me because I recieved the account. I can't even change the rating I gave the seller. This site might be good for some things, but not for account buying.

Hi Anon, this is Lei, Customer Support Manager at PlayerAuctions.
I appreciate the time you have taken to let us know that your PlayerAuctions experience was less than ideal. I and my team would like to work with you to make things better.
Can you send me a private message with your PlayerAuctions username and the Order ID for this experience so that I can investigate what happened and see what we can do for you?
Thank you!
I got exactly what was said in the deal and it was done quickly and carefully. By carefully I meant the seller not sending me ingame chats and being quick so it was discrete. Done like a pro. Thanks, appreciate that.

Thank you very much for the awesome and kind review, Emi. We really appreciate this. :)
If you dont buy a insurrance per trade which costs for example for an 25$ purchase like 7$ extra, then they don't help you if you got scammed by a seller on their site.
No help at all, you totally rely on the seller.
And paying 30-25% of the total price as an additional insurrance is bull$#*!.
Cannot recommend
After complaining to their support, they did nothing. After writing a review here the reviewed the case and they gave me a Promocode for their site so I could buy another item for nearly the same amount. I only fear that that account will have the same problem in some weeks. Lets see.

Hello That,
We've sent your a PM regarding the case on Order ID 3311573 and we thought that this case needs to be reopened. Please note that the insurance is only an added protection to your account and if you didn't purchase an insurance we will still be of help. Rest assure that this will be checked again and provide any resolution.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you.
Regards,
Krys
I've bought multiple accounts with 1 year buyers insurance, then the account would even be recovered within A WEEK. My two biggest issues were that I never once received a refund for any of my accounts, even after following all of the support teams instructions. The icing on the cake was when I notified PlayerAuctions about being scammed, the user still remained on the site, which was VERY irritating.
Other than that big issue for me, I haven't had any issues when selling accounts or buying gold. Only thing that seems like a rip-off to me is the insurance account scam, so I make sure to tell my friends not to bother with account buying on the site (even though I mentioned that I sell accounts, but none of my buyers have had any complaints).

Thank you very much for the kind and positive review, Ralph!
I've used PA a couple years ago and it worked fine for me. I tried to connect today and my malwarebytes says the site is blocked due to malware. So I read on the malwarebytes forum to find out it's not really a malware but that site is blocked because they sell accounts (which honestly is a dumb reason to block a site).
So anyways, I decided to whitelist playerauctions website on my malwarebytes. When I tried to go on their website now my Kaspersky said that the certificates were not trusted and asked me a confirmation to proceed.
At this point I declined, this is a real issue and this needs to be fixed. Why are your certificates not valid? I will not use PA as long this is not fixed. If a person from PA would please take time to answer me here that would be greatly appreciated as I really want to use your website again, but I won't until this is fixed.
Date of experience: February 11, 2019
Hello Elban,
We have thoroughly consulted our tech team about this and our website should be good to go. The certificates on our site that you mentioned are all in order. You should be completely safe using our platform, as thousands who have already logged in for the past few days and hours.
Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns by using the Q&A form here in SiteJabber.
Best regards,
Richard
Good website. Bought many account using this site. There seems to be peopel claiming scams but I don't think so. It is not the website fault that they got scammed. But I have bought many accounts here and they all seem to work pretty good.

Personally, haven't had a problem with refunded money when a seller has cancelled. However, I've had delays when a buyer has not confirmed they've received the items they've purchased and even
And my auction account had even been glitchy and taken 4 weeks to "fix" and I had to constantly send a ticket in to support staff even get a reply after a few days.
NOT THAT BAD of a site if you have someone you constantly buy from and is trusted.
Since transactions can go south easily

When I told myself I needed to buy RS Gold, I decided to buy from PlayerAuctions.com because they're deliveries are quick, and easy. I'm glad I can order from these guys without having to worry about any hassle, or serious delay.
Tip for consumers:
Don't hesitate to buy from this website, it's totally worth it.

I have put in several tickets with support and get spotty responses. I'm desiring to close my account with them and have gotten nothing back. Now a refund was issued by me accidentally and I've tried to get in touch with them about it to no avail. Both myself and a seller a mutually frustrated with the service! Horrible. I got scammed out of a Battle.net account and had "insurance" on it and despite my screenshot and proof of conversation with the other seller, it wasn't enough.
Total ripoff.
Date of experience: July 5, 2017
Hi Rick A.
I am sorry if you were not able to receive timely responses from our support team. Sometimes responses are delayed due to the large number of tickets they receive and each one needs to be reviewed and investigated thoroughly. I understand how frustrating it can be.
I'd like to assist you in this issue. Please send me a private message including your PlayerAuctions username and the Order ID so that I can check the status of your Order and what happened to it.
I will be waiting for your response.
Regards,
Bernadette
They promised me a full refund and to cancel my order in October 2017 (I still have that email from them) then in January 2018 the seller comes out of nowhere 3+ months too late and claims the order was fully delivered (it was not delivered at all). Not only was I not playing the game (making delivery impossible at that point) the order was supposed to be closed and refunded in October. Their support has not helped me at all to refund my order and I will be forced to pursue legal action. I have already contacted my lawyer on retainer and I am planning to contact Paypal, credit card companies, and the FBI to investigate my case and the others that appear to show rampant fraud since it is the only way to fix my problem. I wish that PlayerAuctions support would have resolved the issue one of the many times I contacted them but so far they have turned a willful blind eye to their failure to close/refund the order and to the fraud committed by my seller.
Tip for consumers:
Do not trust any emails you receive that say that your order has been automatically closed and will be refunded. This is a lie and the seller will wait a long time then falsely claim it was delivered. Then PlayerAuctions support will not let you get your money back even though they had already promised to refund it and close the order months before.

Hello MJ,
I'm happy to let you know that we have provided you a compensation; I sent it to you through PM. I'd like to sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding with the order and at the same time I'd like to acknowledge your refund. Please let me know through PM if you have any questions; I look forward to hearing from you.

I have been ordering for the past few days and over all I can say I have found sellers on the site that can do far more than other sites can with Shadowbringers only a few days old. I found people able to powerlevel me through MSQ even during early access. That can't be said of MMOGAH. They can't even DO shadowbringers MSQ at the time of this post and I bought gil from them a few months ago and paid them 300 dollars for 94.5 million gil.
I looked at 100 mil goes for on mmogah and 269.99 whereas on player accutions it's like 138.70
Date of experience: July 7, 2019
Thank you so much for the kind words and positive vouch, Paul! Sellers on the PlayerAuctions site are highly competitive when it comes to prices and quality of service, so you will have no trouble finding items/gil/services for the Shadowbringers expansion, even if it was just released recently. We hope you enjoy and get a lot of mileage out of your new stock of FFXIV gil, Paul!
My dispute case has been going on for almost one week and I haven't got a single reply from PlayerAuction support. Yet, when I tried to contact their support to check the process of my dispute they ended up closing my tickets with no response, Yeah I know just like that.
~UPDATE
They finally resolved my dispute case. After a 3 days delay, but guess what, I won't complain no more and I'm happy happy with the final results.
I'd really love to know what happened to the old PA Customer support
Tip for consumers:
If you ever got scammed on playerauction whether your are the seller or the buyer. Don't waste your time opening a dispute because they will never reply afterwards.
~UPDATE
If your dispute case has been going on for more than one week, Just try to message them. What I didn't know is that their customer support service has been changed. And expect a little delay.

Hello Resh,
Please note that your case is already closed and decided in your favor. We're very sorry for the delay, but please understand that we're only deliberating on the case and giving each and every user (in this case, your buyer), every opportunity we can afford him. Rest assured that your payment is now back on queue and is expected to be released on July 16 (as per your disbursement schedule set).
[UPDATE] Thank you so much for revising the review. The PA customer support team has always been the same and they have been working with us for several years now, it's just that the volume of concerns were receive can be erratic and they get flooded with messages from time to time. We'll charge this to experience and do our best to respond in a timely manner. Sorry again for the inconvenience, Resh.
Hope you have a good day ahead, Resh.
Best regards,
Richard
PlayerAuctions runs a marketplace for buying and selling characters, virtual goods and virtual currency from massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs).
PlayerAuctions was started in 1999 by a group of gamers in the states. It was one of the first player to player marketplaces around, becoming a famous hub for earlier games such as Ultima, Diablo 2, and Everquest. It survived on a small scale for years and grew entirely organically through word of mouth, until PlayerAuctions was acquired by Itemmania in Korea.
Being rebuilt from the ground up with proprietary risk management systems, and investment meant to provide a stronger support network for gamers, PlayerAuctions was re-launched in 2008 with offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Korea. Since that time, PlayerAuctions has supported hundreds of games and activities within the wider gaming industry.
At the end of 2013 underwent a structure change to a Product structure which has shifted development focus to an agile development system which resulted in many product expansions in 2014 including Gaming Accessories, CD Key Sales, Cosplay, Trading Cards, and Software Downloads. PlayerAuctions also opened a new support center in Manila 2014 to directly manage and control the quality of services rendered to its users.
Glad to hear things worked out with your chosen payment method, Pete. I'm sorry but PayPal was removed years ago due to security issues. Hope you enjoy your order! Thanks a lot!
