Bought a spinner from these folks. The little solar powered light would not recharge. Wrote to P&H and customer service jumped on it. Sent me a whole new spinner with no obligation to return first one. In fact, they recommended that I donate it to a neighbor or friend. Good folks for sure. I asked... they responded!

I purchased a spinner from them... It was NOT cheap... in about 13 months (nicely one month after the warranty) the pole ROTTED... and it just tipped over... I asked them if I could buy another pole... they don't make them anymore... They make TONS of these! Tell me another pole wouldn't fit? They offered me NO remedy, NO caring, not even a lousy discount on something else. I will NEVER. EVEr. Purchase another of their items.

Received a defective item. I notified them and they responded within 4 hours of my email (on a Sunday!) with a solution that was beyond my expectations. High quality merchandise and clearly committed to customer satisfaction.

Been waiting on a Christmas Tree for almost 4 weeks. Was suppose to be in stock 11-16-21 and then 11-23-21. Sill no answers on when it will ship. I guess I will buy one from somewhere else and just return this one if I ever get it. Really disappointed in this Company. I have bought a lot from them but this will be my last purchase..

Wish I would have seen these reviews prior to placing an order. It does feel like a scam. I'm experiencing the same things many others have. I placed an order 12/31/21, got no updates on delivery and when I called, they said the lead time is 182 days! You can't cancel an order until it ships - which seems bogus to me. I'll spare you the details - just DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM PLOW AND HEARTH!

I purchased a fire place grate from Plow & Hearth. I've ordered from them years ago and found the company to sell quality products with a very good customer service. Something has happened. I measured the fireplace incorrectly so needed to return my grate and order the correct size. I took full responsibility for my mistake. Everything about this return was difficult. Finding my order #, (no packing slip-order # not on any emails only tracking#) Trying to call to find out why my return amt to my credit card would be $30 less than I paid and the total charge for the purchase listed as less than what was charged to my credit card. My call was dropped/hung up on 3 times. It was difficult to understand the accent of the people in customer service, but I swear I was still polite, since I am well aware this is the only way to navigate this situation. Then when I tried to reorder the correct size and obtain the 20% credit advertised on the website as an automatic deduction, unable to resolve with customer service on the 4th call. I finally hung up and used a different company. I will NEVER again buy anything from Plow & Hearth.

don't use this site.

I ordered a gift on April 27th. When it did not arrive, I sent an email. No answer.
I finally called and learned that the HOPED TO SHIP ON May 12th!
I said "cancel the order" and was told that it was too late to do so.
Now if it ships on May 12th and takes the estimated 5 to 7 days to arrive, I should have the gift by May 19th.
Count me out as a customer of Plow and Hearth.

When I go to purchase a product I would like to believe when the site says it is in stock. But you can't believe that it is actually in stock when ordering from Plow & Hearth.

After placing an order and waiting three days for a confirmation or tracking number, I looked at the status of my order and then said product was on backorder. So I called them on the telephone and they verified that it would be almost two weeks before they got another order in.

Less than an hour later after thinking about it I called them back to cancel my order and lo and behold they then claimed that a quantity had been received in! Not only was the quantity received in but my order was now in processing and they were unable to cancel the order. They said they would try and send an email to the shipping department but there was no guarantee that the order could be cancelled no. I guess they don't have telephones in the shipping Department!

Now it's going on 3 days and the order status still says processing!
I would steer clear of any site that tells you they have product in stock such as Plow & Hearth! First and last time placing an order with them!

Tip for consumers:
Perhaps you should speak to someone in person to verify what quantity they have on hand before trusting that they actually have product in stock like the site says.

I been able to make my garden a whimical wonderland from the items I found at Plow and Hearh. Prices are reasonable. They have some great buys on clearance items on their web site.

Cheap quality, poor customer service, over priced. Don't purchase here if looking for quality or American-made.

Tip for consumers:
This was once a quality company. Not anymore. Don't go by its past reputation.

Purchase firewood storage rack several years ago. It collapse when used. Bought outdoor dragon with solar orb for Christmas gift. Flimsy, orb didn't work properly. Customer service unresponsive.

Ordered a plant may 5,2020. Was not informed until several weeks later there order was delayed until 7/25/2020. After no correspondence by 7/28/2020 and no product recieved, I called to cancel my order and request a refund. I was told 3-5 days. On 8/4/2020, after no communication and no refund recieved, I recieve an email stating the order was now delayed to 9/5/2020. The order I had canceled 9 days prior and was overdue on receiving a refund. I called and got the run around for over 30 minutes about why it was some other, unknown company who has to issue the refund and they can't get in touch with anyone at goods mystery company. I was told this after it was CONFIRMED THE COMPANY RECIEVED MY FUNDS MONTHS AGO. I absolutely would stay away from purchasing products from this company, you will not recieve your product and they will pass blame and promise to refund you, but you will not recieve your refund. Buyer beware.

I have ordered a statue on 09//02/2020. I received an email confirming of my order, it mentioned that estimated shipping date 09/04/2020. Fine no problem, did not receive anything till 09/30/20 called to check the status, I was told that vendor does not have in stock, no one bothered to send an email to let me know. I was told that lead time in shippilng is 20 days, so now it will be received in 3rd week of october, fine, waited, now I receive an email towards end of october that it is out of stock and if I want to get something else instead, wtf, if I wanted something else I would have ordered it. I waited again till 30th of november, nothing, so i called, ask for update, i was told again that vendor does not have it or they are not sure if vendor has it in stock. Now I ask someone who can actually deal with this situation seriously, Lady name jill came on line, told me same thing and she will check with vendor and call me in a day, but now new twist, lead time is 20 days after vendor receive the items from whom ever, so again in an abyss. Catch 20/20. I still have to wait 20 days + when ever vendor will have it in stock. So unknown time frame. Why would you deal with this kind of vendor as a company. What a sas operation in this company. You are in a fast moving world get with a pace or get out, close the door and do something else. This is not therir cup of tea. WTF.

Purchased patio table and chairs for 1500. Within a few weeks table top started warping and coming alert at seams. Wood is thin and cheap.

Never Again! Outrageous shipping costs!
Cost $40 to Return Furniture covers
They were NOT as described!

Go where you get free shipping & better quality products

Products used:
Furniture covers were not the color stated nor were they the size stated on the package
Horrible high shipping costs ! & $40 to return
I will never buy from this company again !! Almost everyone is shipping free or at lease cheaper !!
