Plenty of Fish

I was on POF for about 6 months, met my fair share of nasties and chumps. Hilarious stories to tell. But a geeky guy showed up as a "top priority match" and after a few weeks of talking we exchanged numbers and finally met. I had 2 kids from my past marriage and had to be very careful. Mind you, I posted on my site that I had children and no one with a record needed to message. I was very clear that I was a nerd and very independent and kind of a control freak.

Fast forward: we will be getting married in June after being together for over 2 years, we have a little girl together, and he has stepped into the father role for my other daughter without being asked or expected. He is amazing and I would never have met him if it weren't for POF. I've also met some of the best friends I have every had through him. One of them is my MoH. If you take your time you could find the right one.

I joined plenty of fish for one month. It wasn't until I checked my bank account online and found they'd stolen a second month of me a month later. They didn't tell me they was going to steel a second months payment a month later. By joining for one month that should be the end of it. I can't find anywhere in the listing they take another month later. I've emailed them twice with no reply so I'm going to have to delete the account to hopefully stop pof from steeling more money from me for a 3rd month. Beware don't sign up to join they will take your money as they wish. They don't care about you they only want your money.

Nobody communicates with anyone else. You can send out as many likes as you want, but nobody will like you back and of course nobody will talk to you on the phone if you do get a response. I get likes, I like them back and I never hear back from them again. Typical so called dating website. If you are a man good luck to you. I got a like from somebody and she replied back "who are you?. They sent out a false like to me from her and she was not even interested. Just a waste of money. Then there are the scammers trying to get my debit card info by sayng they want to video chat, but my debit card info is needed to do it. They are so stupid and can't spell either. Just plain $#*!ed idiots.

Ladies, women, beware and STAY FAR AWAY from a man with the username flairjess, 25 years old on POF. He put his place of location as n/a, Illinois. He uses women for sex. He PRETENDS to be a nice guy until he uses people enough times for sex. Afterwards, he wants his space, he becomes hard to reach by phone and will start becoming extremely emotionally abusive and verbally abusive. Eventually, he will get to a point where he doesn't want to be bothered anymore. Something is terribly wrong with him! He devalues women he uses for sex. He DOESN'T want a relationship. Furthermore, he enjoys making fun of women. Women, DON'T give flairjess, 25 years old, any of your time. AVOID HIM. HE IS EVIL.

It's full of women in their 30s 40s who are extremely unattractive and unappealing yet are very picky

They say if you only say hi you'll be ignored. How can they be so picky? It's beyond obvious there are too many men on the site otherwise they wouldn't be able to make any demands at all.

Got so bored reading the same thing all the time, how they can't see likes, how independent they are, how their children will always come first and how you must be able to make them laugh... but theres never any mention what they would bring to a relationship

Ps, what's with all the photos with their tongues sticking out? It's embarrassing

I have a friend who just discovered that a member of this dating site has stolen her pictures off of her Facebook page and downloaded them to her profile! It is absolutely ridiculous that she cannot report this person for stealing her image and using it on this site, without signing up for the website! Plentyoffish needs to review their policy because my friend refuses to sign up for the website and give any of her information just to be able to report this woman! A year and a half maybe a little more ago I met my husband on POF. He messaged me a month or two before I got back to him but once I did we spoke for two weeks and each day he peaked my interest more. On June 22nd 2015 he came to visit me we met at a motel six and did what you'd expect anyone to do in a motel room for six hours. The next day I never expected to hear from again but god knows I wanted to so I texted him even though I swore to myself I wouldn't. That whole week he spent 700 dollars to say in my town with me because he didn't want to leave me. Needless to say we have been together ever since we have had our ups and downs but he is my best friend and now I'm not sure what I'd do without him.

He comes off so sweet, says he's a Christian and loves the lord, but I swear he won't show any real interest in you but sex right after I gave him my number. He told me he deleted his pof but was still on there a lot when we were together, something was very off about him but I wanted to believe he was a good guy so I stayed with him longer but I could not take all the conversations bout sex and my looks. So I broke up with him. I got no reply back and that's odd for someone who was talking to me bout kids and building a family. He's still on pof fishing :/

I see that most of the negative reviews come from men - for me the experience has been pleasant.
I joined in June. Yes, it's free - Truly free and I like the compatibility tests (although no one is required to complete them).
I have met 3 really nice guys - they have really good jobs and great personalities and although 1 was just "not for me" I have held on to the other 2 and REALLY like both of them!
True, there are some perverts and creeps on the site but aren't those types everywhere? Be sure to read all profiles before responding to messages and always trust your gut!
All in all, I like POF and suggest you give it a shot.
Oh AND I heard Patty Stanger (Millionaire Matchmaker) met her fiance on POF (she was on Steve Harvey recently - saw the interview myself)

My account was hacked on August 13 around 10 Pm. Someone took over my account, posted pictures that are not me and changed my user name from Maziepate1 to Maziepate12. I have tried to contact POF by numerous emails asking them to send me a link to get a new password as the link that is on the site won't work to get sent to me, I have threatened to get the Police involved. I paid to be on this site and I have two months left on the payment. I do not know what to do. I even sent an email to their legal department and nothing. The girl that took over my account is 25 years old and I am 70 with blonde hair. I had 12 pictures on there she has two and they are not of me. I have 23 messages on my page and I can't answer them as I can't get into my own paid account. PLEASE HELP there has to be a way to fix this. POF is responsible to take care of this. I do not want to build a new account and pay again.

This the one of the dating apps out there, ok if you are a premium paying member the app tells you what age bracket you need to date so if you are a man or a woman and wants to date someone younger they do not allow it seriously what century you guys live on? If a person is 18 years or older is up to the person who they should or not date is an user app all other dating apps get this but POF lives in the 15th century acting as user's parents, is probably one of the glitchiest apps specially the messaging system sometimes does not show when you message someone in the past, app is disorganized messy and not user friendly.

The site is lame if ur not some hot guy with money nobody wants to chat ive been on the site 5 years an have only met a few off of it an that was after giving the women an fbook profile an they wound up turning in to psychos this site is for picky people who do not want a life they just want prettyness an money its all a bunch of crap an it has fake profiles all over it stay away they should have a deal where u have to make a salute if u create a profile on it

I have been on the site off and on. Then I read the reviews of POF. Now, I'm just going to check into the reviews and never return to POF. Most of what you people say is to a T what I have experienced on POF. Oh and people, these 'I met my dream world, all thanks to POF tee hee, Thanks POF' Why praise POF? Two people do all the work to meet each other. POF isn't the reason why you two met. Nice to hear POF cut you a cheque to praise it on review sites like such. If you're on there for entertainment, mmmm, what is more psychotic those entertaining you or you find entertainment in it.? They both are. Anyone with a healthy mind shouldn't be able to handle that mental garbage. The positive is, you can find out who to avoid like a nuns sex life in your area when you are looking to date. Ok.
