Let me educate the men on here who are upset that they can't find a decent woman. From a woman point of view the women you are messaging probably have trust issues for one. As a woman who only been on POF for less than a year, I was sexually assaulted and I have had what appeared to be a pimp trying to get me to meet up with him, even sent me a very degrading message. All men who messaged me wanted my phone number right away and when I first signed up and didn't know any better I would give my number which leaded to the men wanting to come to my place and wanted to sleep with me, so I stopped giving out my number and expressed just wanting to chat and getting to know people first, which leaded to men not talking to me anymore. There are many stories of women being sexually assaulted by men on POF, so there's the answer to why many of you men can't find a woman who's so willing. Then there's also your married men or men who have girlfriends who want to just text you. I had a guy get so mad at me for calling him that he made me feel like sh*t. Many are Construction workers who only have time to text, but not talk, so be aware ladies. I also had a few run ins with what I believe were pimps. Although I am still on POF I don't see myself being on there much longer. I rather be safe than sorry. Guys, don't blame most of us women, blame the men who are the real ones making it hard for you by being dishonest and even going as far as assaulting women. I even heard stories of women being full blown raped.

What I learned from POF, if a guy is truly interested in getting to know you, he will respect you not wanting to give out your personal information right away. He wouldn't mind video chatting or meeting up in a public place. Don't be so quick to go to his place or invite him to yours, or even give him your number. This site is a huge risk. I'm sure there are some nice guys, but that's if you can make it through the crazy ones first.

More baggage than a Boeing 747. At least 90% must be Bipolar as well... one day they are wildly enthusiastic, then disappear for no reason... I suspect that their husband, boyfriend or parents clued into what they're doing and they were grounded! LOL. They have more issues than you can shake a stick at. All except for 2 of the women I messaged were constantly going on about their busy, active, successful lifestyles, tons of friends and a FULL social chandler. They made it sound like they were doing you a FAVOR by arranging to meet. Yeah, we'll schedule it for sometime this month (hopefully).

If they're that fulfilled with their life and too busy too meet someone, then why the H**l are they even on the site? Must be pretty insecure if they need to brag themselves up that much! If I wanted to find out about your fabulous and successful private life, your many accomplishments and achievements, and that your family, friends, pets etc will always come first, I'll join your Facebook page... NOT! Personally, I believe that most women on this site (and I can only speak for the female population on POF as that's what my "looking for" field was set at):-) are unavailable (or just plain messed up) for various reasons and just trolling for compliments and "hits" to feed their egos. This site is not about "look FOR me" but rather "look AT me". As if Facebook isn't bad enough, we now have another free medium for the insecure to promote themselves! Pathetic!

I agree that free dating sites, while a noble effort on the part of the devloper/s, can not compensate for human nature. We are a messed up species. On BTW, if you're not financially independent with a high flying career, please save yourself a lot of pain and aggravation and DO NOT BOTHER JOINING. Bottom line... that's what your success hinges on. Under those conditions, you may pick up a shallow gold digger!

This site is great if you liked being catfished. It's full of nothing but fakes, wanna be sugar babies (both male and female), pervy guys who send you dirty messages and D pics without my ever having spoken to them before, and people who look NOTHING like their profiles. I went on four dates from that site. Two were 40+ lbs heavier than their photos (one of them I went out w a few times anyway but he turned out to be a falling down drunk who was stalking and harassing his ex-gf so badly she filled a police report that ended in the guy in question being served WHILE I WAS THERE! Two years later, this same guy is still stalking me and has shown up THREE TIMES in another state outside my home. I've since also filled a restraining order against him.), one was a good 15 years older, and another tried to steal money out of my purse while I was in the restroom! I tried talking to a few others but they blatantly had serious issues (convicts w multiple arrests, guys without jobs who still live w their parents, and let's not forget the guy who turned out to be a bisexual pornstar! EW!) WTF?!
Stay away. Seriously. E-Harmony or the good old fashioned face to face is best. POF officially scares me.

I wore a BLM shirt in one of my pictures. On the first day, I was verbally attacked by three different members (one who called me an 'inbred' and an 'ape lover', one who told me I "must love black people" because I "work with addicts" and another who told me that white women only like black men for the "primal sex". Of course I bit back (I have biracial children) before reporting the users, but then I got flagged for rude behavior. My account was then reported for saying, "All the racists are ugly." (HATE SPEECH) "I prefer black men, but I will date white men, as long as you don't think the election was rigged." (DISCRIMINATION) I also said I will not date men who voted for Trump. (DISCRIMINATION) Despite how you feel, that is an important part of mutual attraction. What liberal is going to date a MAGA Hat? I put in my interests "Liberalism" and that was removed for discrimination. I put in my conversation starter, "If you come at me with racism, I will screen shot it and put it on social media." (BULLYING)Please avoid this platform if you are a POC or someone who believes in social justice and equality. Women, this is not a safe site for you. POF is pretty much useless. Anybody who is on POF for the right reasons gets drowned out by all of the other idiots. There are plenty of women on here who can be called "losers" (that's what they should really call this site). First of all, you have your single mothers, some with multiple kids. And where is the father, and in some cases fathers, to these children? Unless these men are deceased, why aren't they raising their kids? Seems to me that these women are looking for father figures for their kids. And then you have women who say they have bachelors degrees when all they really have is maybe a high school diploma. They must say that to try to attract educated guys. And then you also have women in their early to mid- thirties who say their students. What they're really saying is that they're unemployed or that they have a $#*!ty menial minimum wage job that they hate. It's possible that they could be going to school. Most likely a part-time evening college course. But who knows? Don't forget the single mothers who say family is important to them. Their probably trying to make it on their own but stay connected to mommy and daddy. They may even be living with their parents from time to time. Sounds like a double standard. A guy gets slammed for "living in mom's basement", but these women get off light just because their women. You also have women who are on here purely for entertainment purposes. They have no intention of actually dating. Don't even get me started on the fake profiles and scammers, or the fact that POF is anti-male. I'm not saying that women don't have a hard time on here, They do. It's just that men have to deal with a lot of bull$#*! too.
