Late night shift at a hospital- ordered locally and it was smooth, app worked perfectly and came here faster than the stated time! Not sure why so many have had issues, I hope they keep up the good work!
After I placed an order for Rubio's, I deleted an order on October 13,2024. I was only partially credited the order according to my bank records. I was still showing an $6.37 for the delivery & tax they charge. I contacted the company on the morning of 10/16/24, because that is when I showed being partially credited on my bank account. I then contacted POSTMATES to get a FULL REFUND because I was only credited $18.46 instead of the FULL AMOUNT WHICH WAS $24.83. POSTMATES told me because it was more than 2 days after the order THEY COULD NOT ISSUE ME a REFUND. What THEIFS. So I was charged $6.37 for an order that I CANCELLED & NEVER GOT. Everyone BEWARE of POSTMATES SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!
I ordered through Postmates previously and had a few issues with them overcharging me so I stopped using them! Decided to give them a second chance and that was a mistake! Ordered from restaurant really close to my house and noticed $8.99 service charge additional to $ 5.99 delivery fee. The customer service explanation was that the restaurant is not a part of their network so that's why the fee. Nowhere does it mention it on their website about it or the service fee. The receipt was included from the restaurant and there was not any additional charges. I feel a little deceived by them and of course they will not refund the charge! Be careful with this service! Delivery was on time and the order was correct!
Postmates is a horrible site, company and needs to be put out of business, they scam, have hidden fees, lie, and don't communicate with customers, I've have an issue with nearly every order I ever placed, from trashy, rude delivery drivers, to a delivery driver charging personal stuff to my order while picking my order up charging me for it, postmates thinks it's ok to deceive customers. Today they got back to my emails after 9 days over a week to respond to me, telling me they deactivated my postmates account I say thank you to that they did me a favor, I followed it up with calling my bank and disputing all charges placed on my account by postmates!
I was sent a promo code on Wed., used on Thurs., it disappeared off of the order, I've tried for days to get the $5.99 credit, and they won't credit. Also, Postmates driver ate a piece of food off of my order.
Customer Service doesn't care about either issue. DO NOT USE POSTMATES!

Orders consistently sit at restaurants long after they're made. This happens to me all the time -- the reason it takes food an full hour to arrive (it takes the restaurants themselves less than half the time to fulfill delivery) is because the drivers don't pick up the food quickly.
Just had confirmation of this today. My order of barbeque from a restaurant 11 blocks away sat at the restaurant for a full hour and 6 minutes and I got my food a full 90 minutes after order. This isn't a one-off, it's typical.
But what are the options? GrubHub, UberEats etc all have similar issues. The solution is this: learn to cook.

On December 19,2020, I placed an order through the Bertucci's website. Post mates was supposed to deliver it 3 hours ago. At 6:32 pm, I got a text from Postmates stating that my order had been picked up by "Manuel" and would be delivered in 18 min. No delivery was made ( I have a camera recording). At 7:30 pm, I called Bertucci's and was advised to call back at 8:30 pm to speak to manger. At 8:30 pm, I called Bertucci's and the manager told me that a female Postmates delivery driver had picked up my order over an hour ago. Apparently, she stole the order, as no other texts have been sent or responded to by Postmates driver. Maybe a call to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office will result in Postmates being more responsible and better supervision of their employees. I wonder how many other orders have been stolen.
Absolutely awful... their customer service is awful if they ever get back to you at all. They never charge you what they say they are going to and they always over charge or over price items by almost double.
Doesn't allow customer to make mistakes on ordering (even when they try cancel within 2 minutes of ordering) --charges full price for immediately cancelled order and claims it's because order is on the way when in fact, the restaurant said that they haven't even started making it. Yet, Postmates allow themselves to be late and make mistakes on order, only at most gives you pitiful $5 refund for extremely late order. Just. WTF
Terrible. My driver picked up my food and drove all over Mesa so I couldn't even cancel it to get my money back. And in the option to talk to postmates they dont have a number in their app it's only by email. Now my driver stopped responding. I made this order after 3pm and now its after 6. So now I just paid for his meal write. Your business is a disgrace.
Today is the second time I have ordered food from Postmates and it has not been delivered and I tried to resolve the issue through email. I'm unable to locate a phone number for them and they will not reverse the charge so I'm now having to dispute it through my bank.
Thought I would try it when I saw the free burrito promotion for Cinco De Mayo. Well you get a 20.00 credit. I ordered my food it came to 10.40 cents. The delivery was 8.00 plus a small service fee. Total out the door under 20.00 balance shows 0.00 food shows up, and somehow my meal went from 10 something to 20 something. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME> sent email to support. No response. Nothing. NEVER USE THEM, total scam
The service charges were outrageous, but coupled with the fact that I didn't receive half of my order, and the call center for resolution put me on hold SIX times! It took 56 minutes to get a refund for the missing items. I was in the middle of my work day, and the call center couldn't even locate my account, much less get anything else correct. That took 15 minutes alone. NEVER EVER will I use this service again. EVER.

I will never use this service again! My bill was $38 dollars---after Postmates fees it was $20 higher! They tacked on a $9.00 service fee plus a buck delivery fee. $9.00 service fee for what? I tipped the delivery guy $6.00---who gets the $9.00 service fee? Bet its not the restaurant. Terrible
I placed an order well before closing time. Their drivers passed the order around until it was after closing time for thr restaurant. Postmates had no way of making up for their lack of service. Seems like they enjoy taking advantage of their customers.
Multiple times using postmates, my order was delivered with things missing. Instead of working to bring the correct order, I was issued the bare minimum fee of what was missing, with no delivery fee included. I would have been happy with a credit for a delivery fee for the next time, but that was never offered and when I asked for it (seeing as I paid $9.00 to get my ENTIRE order) I was told that request was not warranted. This company is a joke and I will certainly never be using it again.
I never knew a food delivery company could be that bad. Post Mates surprised me. They are absolutely the worst food delivery service I've dealt with. I was curious as to why they were so bad. So I looked up the reviews and scanned through them and to find out I share a conman hate for this company as many others do. How can a company have a 1 star in customer service. Your COMPANY is CUSTOMER service! I do not see why Grubhub or Uber eats has not bought out this penny pinching company yet. I'm amazed by the unprofessional of this company.
Unlimited Members beware. If you're thinking of referring your friends to Postmates to claim the $100 credit, don't waste your time. The credit is only good for seven days and applies only to the delivery portion of your bill. If your order totals more than $15, delivery charges for Unlimited Members are waived anyway. This is a total joke; don't be taken in by it.
Please do not use this service. I ordered Wendy's today and the total is around $20, the service fee is $7, and it charges me total $40 for this order. I don't know why. Maybe they just want to stole money
I have never used this service but somehow I was signed up for their monthly $9.99 service without my knowledge. They never even informed me of this. After 11 months I finally noticed this monthly bill on my credit card statement. When I contacted them about this fraud they informed me that their automated fraud detection system had already caught this fraud. I asked them why, if they knew these were fraudulent charges, they continued to bill me, collect my money and not inform me. They then refused to further communicate with me and answer this contradiction but with the help of my credit card company and the Better Business Bureau the charges were reversed. With help like theirs, who needs enemies!
I had the same promo experience where I signed up under the guise of a promo code that they then wouldnt honor. It took me several emails and proof if the code before they finally agreed to apply it. The order was all wrong. Comically wrong and they charge was still wrong. Several customer service people later and no result. They are clearly in a business where they dont care about their jobs or their customers. Buyer beware!
Stay away from this delivery service. They often over charge and do not credit your account. They automatically tip even if the food is up to 45 minutes late. I just deleted my account due to the poor customer service over an issue I just had. My kids ordered Sonic, 2 burgers, tots and 2 drinks. The bill was 43.00. I get being over charged a little for the burgers but a 7.99 service fee and an almost 4.00 tip!. The order was totally wrong, both burgers were completely wrong and I got a 3.00 credit.
I reordered and waited 22 minutes for them to cancel the order. I then tried Panda ( I was at a work event) it was 34 minutes late and cold. I have had it. I got a 6.00 credit, it took me an hour and forty minutes to feed my kids and horrible customer service! Never again!
Postmates has a lot of perks as it is convenient and typically accurate with orders. However if there is a problem customer service will not help you. I once received an email about a promotion and called in to make sure it applied to my account before submitting the order. The rep assured me that the promo would be applied after initial charges. The promo was never applied and after many emails back in forth they never honored the promo. I would suggest trying another service that does not lie to customers.
I ordered Wendy's last week and they did not bring my shake. You cannot call anyone at Postmates however I did an online chat and they said they will add $5 to my account (they didn't). Today I ordered McDonalds and again NO SHAKE. I did another chat and they did credit me $3...My shake was $5.25! Horrible that you cannot call them or chat with a human, it is an automated chat system!
Postmates customers are not tipping in Calif. Some trips are over 1 hr, that is quite a bit of miles to deliver food without getting some extra compensation showing appreciation that you did not have to leave your home. Treat this as though you are in a restaurant... at least 15% tip
So postmates now charges first an estimate of how much your food will be and then after your food is delivered, charges another amount for a crazy amount! When I agree to pay for something, the amount I agree to is how much I'll pay. It is not LEGAL to then come back and re charge another amount because you are giving an estimate of the price! Especially with no warning. Who gives an estimate for food delivery! That is very illegal!
Ordered my food with no problems. I was given 3 different delivery drivers & my ETA kept getting pushed back later and later. Reached out to Support and my issue was well documented. I was then compensated 20% of my total. Ultimately the restaurant cancelled my order. Reached out to Support again and it was noted that the 2nd delivery driver picked up my food, but it was never delivered to me. I will NEVER use Postmates again. I hope the delivery driver enjoyed his free meal on me! $#*!!
