Late night shift at a hospital- ordered locally and it was smooth, app worked perfectly and came here faster than the stated time! Not sure why so many have had issues, I hope they keep up the good work!
After I placed an order for Rubio's, I deleted an order on October 13,2024. I was only partially credited the order according to my bank records. I was still showing an $6.37 for the delivery & tax they charge. I contacted the company on the morning of 10/16/24, because that is when I showed being partially credited on my bank account. I then contacted POSTMATES to get a FULL REFUND because I was only credited $18.46 instead of the FULL AMOUNT WHICH WAS $24.83. POSTMATES told me because it was more than 2 days after the order THEY COULD NOT ISSUE ME a REFUND. What THEIFS. So I was charged $6.37 for an order that I CANCELLED & NEVER GOT. Everyone BEWARE of POSTMATES SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!
8 emails later over the span of 3 days and I'm told from a "customer service leader" that he has to disconnect from me (after 13 minutes of waiting on the phone to connect me to a manager) because the lines are too busy, and I can contact them via email.
Already switching to Uber eats, and telling my company to expense Uber eats and not use postmates even if it costs more because of the customer service.
Do yourself a favor, don't call the number *******726 because all they will do is tell you to get ignored via email. Just go ahead and switch your food delivery service.
I have only ordered from Postmates a few times. Tonight will more than likely be my last. Delivery person was very rude. He did not want to walk the food to my front door and argued me down about it. I told him he could drive off, no biggie. He gets out of the car and says something rude when he gets to my door and shoves my food in my hand. I emailed Postmates because for some reason companies feel like it's not important to have a phone number anymore and of course nothing was done to resolve the issue, at least nothing that would fix the problem.
I am very disappointed because this is the second service I used with this type of service. Companies now seem to only care about money and not the actual service being provided. Or at least that's the way it comes across when you send basic generated messages and/or when you have no one in place that truly cares about customer service.
Unfortunately, my experience with Postmates has been a major disappointment. The website is confusing, making it hard to place an order, and the delivery service is highly unreliable. My orders have been late more than once, which meant I was left waiting for dinner on a busy evening. Worse still, when the food finally did arrive, it was cold and unappetizing. Needless to say, I won't be using their service again.
First and last time using their services. Figured we'd try them out for a pizza delivery over using SB Menus or just picking it up ourselves. Basically, their listed prices are a total scam. What should've been a $35 delivery magically turned into a $70 order the next day after a ton of fees that were not listed anywhere?! So, if you love getting ripped off and enjoy surprise fees, this is the delivery service for you. If not, use something else.
So, they don't even have real customer service people (or if Aidan R. And Serenity M. Are real people, they sound like robots!). I had an issue with an order that I admitted was my fault, but I was told to contact them and I would get a refund. Didn't happen. I understand that it was partially customer error. But there's no phone number to try and explain. And even though they say you can reply to the email with further questions, they just send the same stupid automated message.
Y'all suck at customer service - you made it "in-app" to be helpful - to who? You? If I even see your name again, I'm leaving a bad review.
First of all, they have corrupt employees and delivery people. Second, my account was hacked, many orders placed (hundreds of dollars mind you) on my account to another address in another state. Postmates security is so bad they don't even ask you to verify when you deliver to a new address. I had to take it up with my credit card company because Postmates still hasn't gotten back to me. I've completely removed all my info from the app, addresses, credit card, everything. Never use them!
Worst experience...! They have substituted the item by their own and when i am asking for refund they said your order was complete(which i have not ordered).! Driver also was knowing that he is delivering wrong food. Its a scam.!
I have used Postmates on several occasions along with my co-workers. We have never had any issues until now. Order my food, wait an hour. Driver gets to my building, says she is here. I text her my Suite number as I always do. No answer, she leaves. No communication, no nothing because her lazy $#*! didn't want to get out of the vehicle. Postmates has no phone number, no email to contact them just a help feature to which I get an email that says sorry YOU missed your order but that the driver waiting five minutes and the food is already paid for sorry. Oh NO! So, three emails later still no response. And they have kept my money, no food! I bet the deliver driver ate it and said she delivered it. For the amount we pay in delivery charges service should be better. Posting a blast on FB as well!
Horrid service and delivery. Ordered for Chinese delivery in Falls Church area. Large order for company function. App indicated the delivery would be in 40 minutes. After an hour we contacted restaurant. They denied any knowledge of Postmates. Told us our order was ready but was waiting for pickup. We tried to contact Postmates with zero success. Order finally arrived after 1.5 hours. Unacceptable. Will never use Postmates again.
I will never use postmates again and will spread the word! 3 times I've paid for delivery and 3 times food was never delivered, yet i still got charged. Driver pick it up take the food like they are delivering... Ive provided my cell number for them to call or text if they have issues... Nothing! So its costing me for my food, a F-ing tip and a postmates charge! They obviously dont check out who they hire. THIEVES Both the drivers and Postmates. I called to see what they can do... not a damn thing... they dont care! Just found out why... they've been bought out. Dont use them, especially if you are in the Costa Mesa CA area.
Their website is so screwed up that in order to advance to another page, you have to pay a tip (again) to the last driver, thereby costing you double costs. Postmates customer service will not rectify this problem. STAY AWAY! Door Dash is better.
I thought I was going to make monthly installments. Like a regular subscription service. Come to find out the it all comes out at once. Never again. Cancelled and will never order anything through this company. If anyone asks me about it. Steer clear!
Free delivery not real!
I was drawn in by the offer of free delivery for my first use. They never gave me a place to enter the code, and suddenly my order was complete. I wrote to customer service and got, what seemed like, canned answers that just went around in circles. I'll never use again! $5,99 delivery charge on top of fees. No thank you. New users, don't be fooled!
Ordered two items at $15.99 each. One for $5.79. After $12.99 taxes and fees(outrageous) and $5.99 delivery fee comes out to just under $60.00. They always authorize a hold of more than total but this time it was changed after I ordered and saying since the place I ordered from was "not a partner" the total was now 80.09? Emailed and they basically are calling me a liar saying that the total is correct? This company has obviously turned into a scam seeing the last few comments. Disappointed to say the least.
Selection is decent but it's really nothing to write home about. Don't be fooled by the "delivery credit" they give to get you to sign up. The delivery charge is only a small part of the actual fees they charge. The bulk of it is hidden under "taxes and fees," in case you were wondering why tax is suddenly 25%. The prices end up being the same or slightly higher than traditional delivery sites like Grubhub except you get the added bonus of seeing where your delivery guy is, which can be either helpful or infuriating.
As a driver I take pride in my deliveries. I have a 4.8 life review. Pretty simple accept your delivery. Pick up food. Some wait times are longer during peak hours. We do our best to make sure you have utensils, napkins and condiments when available we drive the fastest route to our destination. Please be sure to tip toe driver as $5 give or take is less than minimum wage. Tips really help and make delivering in our own vehicle worth our time. Also if you live in an apartment complex be sure to include your Building # CLEAR directions to your apartment, include gate code or add us to your list when you have a secured guard at the entrance to your community. It's not rocket science this service is to elevate your stress of feeding yourself and/ or your family. Tips tips tips
Do not use Postmates! They completely failed to deliver my order and instead brought me only a pastry. After 5 emails to their support team I got 5 different people and nobody seemed to be able to help me. They would not refund me for the delivery fee OR the items. Paid $22 for a pastry I could have gotten next door for $4.
Only use them if you're OK with wrong orders and no refund/paying for items and delivery that you don't actually get. Can't trust a company that doesn't care about not ripping off loyal customers.
I was billed $86 dollars for a $27 food order then came in complete (5 items ordered, 1 order missing, 1 order incorrect). The website says I would be refunded 27 dollars in 2 days for the overcharge; bringing the bill down to 54 dollars for 27 dollars worth of food. But what about the missing and incorrect items you ask? The restaurant said call postmates who has no phone number. Their complaint/response email link (I filed 4 complaints in a 2 hour period, none were responded to) is the only way to contact them and they do not respond. The drivers phone was first disconnected then on a second try he hung up. This company is a fraud. I immediately contacted my credit card company to initiate a dispute
In trying to find out why my restaurant is not showing up on customer searches I am on hold for an hour and a half. Finally I get a rep who decides she doesn't like my tone and scolds me about being unprofessional. The whiny snowflake can't be spoken to as an adult. Forget the reason that I'm calling is about the unprofessional service I am getting in the first place. 2 hours later problem not resolved and a pitiful tantrum from a whining child. I guess it's my fault their system doesn't work right and I... the customer am a bad person for attempting resolve.
I've used Seamless/Grubhub for so long and never had any issues. Visiting my mom, Postmates had the better food options so we figured why not. The total order was one price then once the food was picked up it jumped up $20. TWENTY. This app is a rip off. AND they didn't even deliver everything we paid for. Don't use this app unless you don't care about wasting your money.
Postmates seems like an otherwise great service. They're convenient and relatively cheap. However, there is little oversight and they allow their drivers to steal the food from their customers. Granted they'll offer you a refund, they will not address the ongoing issue of a driver picking up the food and making no attempt to deliver or drive towards your address. When you voice your concerns with their customer service they immediately disconnect the call with you forcing you to cancel your membership when in reality that's the absolute last thing you'd want to do. I wish they would clean up their act but because they refuse, they've lost a frequent customer.
My mom decided she wanted Taco Bell for dinner, so we ordered it from Postmates. It's not uncommon for your order to messed up, like leaving something out, and that happened. Now, that's not why I give it a two-star rating. My mom asked for a refund, and they gave her TWO CENTS. That's rude and dismissive. They also didn't ring the doorbell, so we waited downstairs for, like, 20 minutes. The person who delivered it left it on the edge of our porch. The edge. I'm giving it two stars to be generous. We will not be ordering from Postmates for awhile, thank you.
Never got my delivery. 3 days later they claim it was delivered. Can't reach a person to help. Going in circles. I have tried reaching them on the phone. That doesn't work. I just want my money back. This is the worst company I have had the displeasure to deal with. They are crooks and liars.

They pretend to be Uber, but 8 out of every 10 times I order in San Francisco, I get a "We are sorry, all our couriers are busy." This is on a Tuesday night at 9 pm! Give me a break. Happens all the time. They suck. Also, they won't let you review them without a full name or on your phone. They suck.
My husband and I always try to give Postmates a try by using their app and using their service however time after time something goes wrong and when we actually reach out to them they with all their power try to find some sort of justification for why we've have the horrible experience. I guess they never heard about the customer is always right. I think we've finally reached the point where they get no more chances from us and a bad review to top it off. This app/delivery service is not worth the time of you want to eat in time
