Late night shift at a hospital- ordered locally and it was smooth, app worked perfectly and came here faster than the stated time! Not sure why so many have had issues, I hope they keep up the good work!

After I placed an order for Rubio's, I deleted an order on October 13,2024. I was only partially credited the order according to my bank records. I was still showing an $6.37 for the delivery & tax they charge. I contacted the company on the morning of 10/16/24, because that is when I showed being partially credited on my bank account. I then contacted POSTMATES to get a FULL REFUND because I was only credited $18.46 instead of the FULL AMOUNT WHICH WAS $24.83. POSTMATES told me because it was more than 2 days after the order THEY COULD NOT ISSUE ME a REFUND. What THEIFS. So I was charged $6.37 for an order that I CANCELLED & NEVER GOT. Everyone BEWARE of POSTMATES SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!

It's an amazing app to the point where I don't have to go out and get my food my food can be brought to me.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t waste your time on going out to get food when it can be sent to you .

I wish I would have read this first DONT I REPEAT DONT order from this company EVER! Also they don't have a support number to call so basically you are screwed

Postmates lied and refused to reimburse me of $132 from fraud activity. I needed that money for baby diapers.

Pure theft. They take your money, never refund it, and usually don't provide any food or delivery. Horrible customer service. Worst company.

Sometimes things go wrong. It happens. When it does, I expect good customer service that tries to rectify the problem. I've used GrubHub & DoorDash for a while with few, but some problems. With both services, as soon as I spoke to a rep about any issue I had, it was either resolved, I was refunded, or given a credit. Even all of the above in some circumstances.
The FIRST time I used Postmates I had a major issues with my order, and even though it wasn't my fault (restaurant out of items, etc) I was charged EXTRA for delivery! There were other problems with the food/order as well, but the details don't matter. What matters is: I was $#*!ed around so hard through multiple avenues of customer service that I will NEVER use them again! And that they gave me the run around on purpose so they could blame me for being past the 48 hour deadline of complaints! I contacted them immediately, not past the dead line! They told me to call this number, and email here... The only response I received asked me to "further explain the problem"; which I also did immediately. After that, nothing. When I emailed again days later to ask why no one had gotten back to me, they said it was too late. When I argued the ludicracy of that, they sent one more response repeating "Sorry, it's past the 48 hour deadline." Then no response what so ever to any of my following attempts.
I'm not that hard to please. I want exactly what I pay for, and good customer service when issues pop up. That's all! NEVER will a company get repeat service from me when they treat their customers the way Postmates does!
DoorDash is great. GrubHub is a close second (only because the selection of restaurants in my area is smaller). Use them instead.

I ordered from postmates this morning at one of the restaurants listed in their 'party' section, where they offer free delivery for 5 minutes. I placed my order, and got a confirmation from them, and my card was charged. 10 min later, postmates cancelled my order stating the restaurant was closed. They're offering this place in their 'party' section that states it's open. They also said, I wasn't charged $52 which I was. It has not been refunded. This is not the first time this happened. So, I called the restaurant to see if they were open, and they were open. So, postmates just cancelled my order for no reason, and stole my money. The last of my money too. So, now I can't even get something else to eat. They have done this once before, and I still haven't seen that refund of $62. (Which at the time, was also the last of my money too.) it's well over their 1-3 business days they claim it takes to refund your money. I feel like if they can take your money immediately, they should be able to just cancel the charge and refund immediately. Customer service told me they sent the refunds, and to call my bank. The bank can't do anything because postmates hasn't refunded it. It's a lie. I've also had issues with other orders in the past with entirely wrong items. Postmates says they'll refund the items, and that never happened either. Roughly another $30 they stole. Again, I inquire about my refund and they tell me take it up with my bank. The bank again says they can't do anything because postmates never refunded they money. Due to Covid, I've unfortunately had to rely on food delivery services. I'm done with postmates for good. They're thieves, they straight up just stole my money, and won't do anything to resolve these issues. They have the worst customer service. I've documented all of this with screen caps, and saved emails. Anyone, have any ideas on how to get my money back from these thieves?

If I could rate negative stars I would definitely rate POSTMATES negative infinity! I am not angry with the driver because his job is to pick up the order and deliver it. My frustration is with POSTMATES as an organization. I ordered a pizza from MOD PIZZA. However, when the pizza was delivered, it was not my pizza. Not even close. The name on the order was not even my name. Not only that, but the pizza had toppings that I'M ALLERGIC to. So I couldn't even eat the pizza to make the best of a bad situation.

I IMMEDIATELY reported an issue. Probably before the driver even left my driveway. I explained everything and even noted that I am allergic to some of the toppings. It has now been 45 mins since I reported the URGENT issue and I have not received a phone call, text message, an email or anything letting me know my issue is being reviewed.

I would expect a little bit more urgency in a case such as this. A customer has spent money, and cannot even consume the product that was delivered. If that isn't urgent enough, I don't know what is.

I am very upset with this situation and I still am not able to eat because my order was wrong and I don't even have a contact number to reach anyone at POSTMATES to demand rectification.

If anyone is thinking of using POSTMATES for the first time, I would STRONGLY advise AGAINST it. This is ridiculous! Now my money is gone, I don't have my food, and I have yet to hear from POSTMATES.

HIGHLY DISSATISFIED and DISAPPOINTED

Charge you a yearly fee with no authorization. Give NO phone number, NO email address, NO reliable way to contact them to dispute or cancel.

If you must use this app, be careful and document every step of your ordering process - this app is not to be trusted.

1. Prices shown on the app were different from what I was charged. I was not shown a subtotal. I thought I ordered $26 worth of food - instead I was charged a subtotal for the food of $51 - almost double!

2. Delivery fee is already high of $5.99 - I was shown that and accepted it.

3. After placing my order, maybe 10 minutes later, another SERVICE FEE of $10.23 was added. This was NOT shown to me before placing my order, otherwise I would never have accepted or ordered from this app.

4. Delivery was supposed to be at 9:20pm but my food did not arrive until 40 minutes later - at 10:00pm.

5. One item of my order was missing upon delivery.

To resolve all these issues, I went through a long, lengthy process. I was refunded immediately for the item not delivered. The rest of the process was much more of a headache.

I sent the app screenshots via email of my subtotal shown to me, which was $26, versus what the restaurant said. The Postmates customer service rep said that because the restaurant was "not a partner", prices varied. So I just gave up and paid the $51.

However, I was not ready to accept the exorbitant service fee. I was told that the app "always" shows the fee prior to checkout - which is apparently 19.99% of your total bill! I said I was DEFINITELY not shown this. After going back and forth emailing the app, and threatening to write all the negative reviews online, they finally agreed to refund the service fee as a "one-time courtesy".

I will never use this app again - would rather walk a mile and pick up my food. The headache and scam is not worth it.

If I could give a ZERO star rating, I would. I have a total of 7 orders with them. The first order was perfect, the driver got to the restaurant before the order was ready, and was delivered to my house so fast it was like I was eating it at the restaurant. Then I had the second order which was fine, no issues. Order 3 was terrible, as I got the notification that the food was delivered, but when I opened my door, there was nothing there (also verified that there was no activity on my home security system) - refund given. Order 4 was fine, no issues. Order 5 was from a restaurant that was 5 minutes away but took over 20 minutes to arrive and since the order happened to be frozen treats, after the 20 minute joyride, when it finally arrived it was all liquid - completely melted - refund given. Order 6 was from the same place that order 1 came from, but this time the driver took forever to arrive at the restaurant, and I assume that the food was waiting there a while because when it finally arrived it was cold - it totally sucked, and was the driver's fault, but I didn't even bother complaining. Order 7 was an office order for work. Of the 5 orders, 2 were completely incorrect (one with an allergy issue), and one order was completely missing. I reported a problem and they responded that due to my account history, no refund would be issued. I responded that the previous issues were their fault and were absolutely legitimate, and this was ALSO their fault. I sent photos of the receipt, and the food and order tags which showed that things were absolutely wrong... NO REFUND GIVEN.

A couple suggestions, when food is delivered, they should have the driver take a photo of where they delivered to - so they can prove where it went to when the customer doesn't receive it. Also, they need to value their customers a lot more, and they need to own their mistakes. They are in food service and ultimately if it's not right, they need to make it right - we pay a lot to use the service, and IT NEEDS TO BE RIGHT.

I recently had back surgery and couldn't drive or get up to make food, I have been off of work since the end of February due to the pandemic and have very little money to spare, my 4 kids were hungry and my sons car wasn't working so i decided to try postmates, I ordered McDonald's thinking I can get enough for my kids to share if I order a 2 cheese burger meal large, a 10 piece chicken nugget meal and an extra 10 nuggets for them to share along with 3 cookies for a $1order should have be $21 with tax, i placed the order i didn't see my total so I immediately went to my account and saw i was charged $84+ I immediately canceled the order, 3 min later they will not refund my money saying that the food was already being prepared, really even when I'm in the restaurant it is not that fast. They told me great news they would wave the subscription fee (which was never in anything i looked at when I placed the order) saying I would only be charged for the food, which in their minds was worth $67+ giving me nothing in return no credit no food. I thought when you buy something you should receive something in return, I got not even a credit, they didn't lift a finger and took money from a family who at this time is on a budget and was going to share food.

After waiting 40 minutes for our food to arrive from a restaurant that we know is super fast in meal preparation, our driver showed up with only one item from the order. The app messed up and only sent one thing to the driver's app. My app showed the final order after delivery as just the one item. Postmates made zero compensation. To add insult to injury, they "held" $46.02 on my bank account for a padded charge of $13.51. (I had free deliverywatch out for "free." It will sometimes cost you!) Obviously, the app messed up, held the larger amount because the order should have included the other items ordered! Postmates offered no compensation for only my daughter getting to eat. Not the driver's fault. (Her only fault was not being willing to come to my front door.)

Padded charges: The item they did deliver was billed at $11.17 including tax, plus $2.34 service fee = $13.51. The driver kindly brought me a new menu; I have the current prices. The item costs $9.15 + $. 64 tax = $9.79NOT $11.17! I emailed them regarding thisthey have NO phone contact availableincluded a picture of the menu, and was told, "$13.51 is correct. That is the amount the restaurant charged." The restaurant says, "$9.79." I wrote back and told them they lied, flat out lied, and the charges are padded! No reply to address the issue.

Furthermore, I had to come out of my house and walk to the driveway. One of the reasons I chose a delivery service was so that I didn't have to do that I could have gotten in my car and gotten the food myself if I wanted to get dressed and go to the driveway.

I will NEVER use Postmates again. While I don't have a huge online presence, I do know a lot of people in the real world. I am sharing my experience and alerting others to the many one star reviews. I'd wager, like me, that most of those one stars wish they could give "zero" stars!

Bottom line: Don't fall for the $100 in free delivery! It's just not worth it!

(If I'm being lazy, I'll just pay the fee to DoorDash which isn't perfect but gladly rights ever wrong and puts their money where their mouth is!)

The f_ckers are PM are marking up the menu items, charging service fees and delivery fees. F_ckers are a rip-off. Never order from them.

I ordered from Postmates for the first time today. The total was $66 but, when I looked at the bill from the restaurant, it was $43! TOTAL RIPOFF! AVOID AVOID

I have always used DoorDash, but today, I decided to use Postmates - biggest mistake ever. I ordered from the app at 1:18 PM - hardly during the lunch rush as it should have been winding down by this time. The app estimated my food would arrive at 2:04 PM. Fast forward to 1:45, I go back to the app to see that that my order was delayed by the merchant and the new estimated time frame was 2:19. Not ideal, I work in an area where a lot of restaraunts are no more than 5 mins away. So, I went to cancel my order because I did not want to wait an hour for food. When I go to cancel, Postmates warned I would be charged the entire amount and a cancellation fee if I canceled the order as my order was being prepared. I feel like I should be able to cancel if the driver is not yet in route with my food - which they were not. So Postmates reasoning is that you have to wait until Kingdom Come for your food if it comes to that because as long as the restaurant is "preparing" it, you cannot cancel. So, fast forward again, it is 2:32 when my food is finally delivered after I had to call to direct the driver to my location after he missed it twice instead of just calling me as he was obviously unsure as to where I was. My hot food was not even lukewarm and ultimately I spent half my lunch hour waiting on my food, so it was even enjoyable when I finally received it. I reached out to Postmates and their response was along the lines of "Oh well, I hope you will try us again in the future; we apologize for the inconvenience". There was no resolution, no good faith credit for another delivery, nothing. I didn't even want a refund as I did receive and ate the food. I just wanted a better solution than better luck next time! I will never use Postmates again, even if my next meal was free. The customer service is beyond sub par. You get robotic, lackluster, and vague responses, no assistance. I will use DoorDash from now on. Their service is timely and they actually do provide resolutions for customer problems. Postmates you need a complete overhaul on your services or you will by eclipsed by other delivery services if not already.
