Late night shift at a hospital- ordered locally and it was smooth, app worked perfectly and came here faster than the stated time! Not sure why so many have had issues, I hope they keep up the good work!
After I placed an order for Rubio's, I deleted an order on October 13,2024. I was only partially credited the order according to my bank records. I was still showing an $6.37 for the delivery & tax they charge. I contacted the company on the morning of 10/16/24, because that is when I showed being partially credited on my bank account. I then contacted POSTMATES to get a FULL REFUND because I was only credited $18.46 instead of the FULL AMOUNT WHICH WAS $24.83. POSTMATES told me because it was more than 2 days after the order THEY COULD NOT ISSUE ME a REFUND. What THEIFS. So I was charged $6.37 for an order that I CANCELLED & NEVER GOT. Everyone BEWARE of POSTMATES SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!
Do not use! Used it twice - over inflated delivery rates and incorrect deliveries both times.

After countless instances of Postmates delivering either incomplete orders (i.e., parts of my order that I paid for simply weren't delivered to me) or delivering other people's orders to me entirely rather than my own food, tonight was the last straw. I ordered from a favorite local restaurant and yet again, Postmates failed to include part of the order that I paid for. But this time, they refused to refund me the money I paid for food I didn't get. Putting aside the outrageous fees and the fact that I am a VERY avid customer, when I asked why not refund the money for their error? The answer: because they've made too many errors before. And can no longer refund money for THEIR ERRORS. I thought maybe I was being pranked, but no, the Postmates customer service in all seriousness told me they were taking my money for food I didn't get and it was too bad if I didn't like it. Insanity. Postmates is owned by Uber, with its notoriously evil business practices. Apparently, in addition to Postmates, Uber also owns:

Avoid these apps and their shady business practices like the plague they are.

When a mistake is made I have noticed Doordash Postmates and Wingstop to blame each other. The fact is you took my money off my account and charged me for food and services that I didn't recieve. Then your response is to blame the driver blame the company and say that you are new hire. Poorly trained employees. Wow. I am thoroughly disgusted and will never eat from Wingstop, Doordash POSTMATES or ABUELO'S Fort Worth again. I will also never order from places who use third party delivery as I see it is a pattern to steal from customers. You waste the customer time also. You force them to complain. I own a few restaurants in the city although this is my first order as a customer through Postmates.
Here are the issues:
1. I met the driver at his car. I handed the driver a $5 tip, He handed me a bag and said it was the complete order. I could tell by looking at it, it was incomplete. I asked him to leave the single item and either bring the remaining order or cancel it. He said the restaurant wouldn't believe the order was incomplete if he didn't return the item. I told the driver that didn't make any sense. I called the restaurant and they knew the driver left without the other items. I told the restaurant I would drive to them immediately if they could remake the one item and they agreed.
2. I got in may car and drove to the restaurant and when I get there I was told the driver took the order after they told him to leave it as I was on my way. They did offer to remake the meals, but it seemed like a waste so I said there was no need.
3. I rushed home, and the driver delivered the items prior to my arrival. When I got home I checked the order was still missing some items. I was going to just let it go until I realized the food was was soggy and not hot. I then realized it had HOT sauce and not mild as requested. I go to this restaurant a few times a month and there is a clear difference between mild and HOT.
4. Jason Pierce of Postmates offered to credit me about $8. I nice gesture, but being that I paid a $5 tip for a delivery (even though I drove to the restaurant) as well as a deliver fee and the order still wasn't complete or correct this is unacceptable.
5. I think part of the problem stems from the driver's car smelling very strongly like marijuana.
6. I emailed customer service as well as asked Jason Pierce to give me a call and have not heard anything.
I will no longer be interested in Postmates because they've decided to go WOKE. The American people are sick of it.
I ordered at 7:45.2 miles away but I arrived at the hotel after a long drive. At 10PM they emailed to say they canceled the order.

Tonight I ordered from Chick-fil-A using the Postmates app. I ordered & was charged $3.50, plus tax, for a bottle of their delicious sauce, which I never received. I submitted a claim via the Postmates app which indicted they would credit me 79 cents on my next order for the $3.50 item I never received. WHAT?! What about the additional $2.74, plus tax you still owe me? And what if I don't want a future Postmates order credit? What if I want it credited back to my original form of payment? So I called their customer service, the first person I spoke with immediately said, oh, its all been taken care of already. Whoa there, no mention of the fact that I was only getting 79 cents. I asked for my full refund so of course she had to transfer me to a "specialist". The "specialist" couldn't actually refund that HUGE dollar amount of $3.50, plus tax, so he had to KEEP ME ON HOLD FOR 40 MINUTES while he waited for "an even higher up specialist" to provide an authorization code. Then, I had to wait while yet "another specialist" actually applied the credit to my credit card! All this for a refund of $3.50, plus tax. I know why Postmates does this. Most people will just give up. Imagine if you multiplied $3.50 times all the people who won't wait on the phone for almost an hour! That's a whole lotta $! Well Postmates just lost a customer over this. I WILL NEVER USE POSTMATES AGAIN & I'm telling everyone I know how they tried to steal from me! Postmates is nothing but a bunch of thieves who use dishonest tactics to steal from their customers! UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: I NEVER RECEIVED THE CREDIT I WAS PROMISED! And after multiple attempts at calling & emailing their "Customer Service" (for lack of a better word!), I finally gave up. So Postmates got to keep my $3.50, plus tax that they stole from my bank account for a product I never received. Wow, I wonder how many customers they've stolen from? Add them all up together & I'll bet Postmates generates TONS of $ by ripping off the unsuspecting American public!

I ordered from Postmates yesterday and I got my stuff and the driver went all the way to the restaurant to get my stuff but I guess it wasn't enough of a tip for him so he canceled my order then Postmates calls me back and tell me my order is canceled because I didn't have enough money when you go to check out do postmate if you didn't have enough money in my account they will not allow me to proceed until they say use another card so I had money in my account the driver was mad because he didn't get enough of a tip so postmate cost me back and say well it cost more so they can help to drive her to get a better tip then cancel my order then when I called when they cancel my order I talk to somebody in the chat room and they told me that I was going to get my money back in a couple of hours that it was my bank my bank said they don't even see where it's even pending to go back into my account so they cancel my order and now they keeping my money hostage and won't give me my money back this company suck and they are thieves

I waited to give this review; I wanted to give Postmates the opportunity to rectify the issue, but since I haven't gotten a response, or even had my concerns acknowledged, I will vocalize my concern in an effort to prevent others from having to experience this.
I placed an order through postmates on 03.10.2020 for a 48 count box of benedryl from Rite Aid. Postmates reported that the Benedryl was $9.79, bringing the entire order (only Benedryl) to $23.90. Everyone in my house has allergies, I am absolutely familiar with the price of Benedryl, so I know the actual price is a little over $6.00. Now that is neither here nor there. We needed the Benedryl, so I wasn't going to make a big deal about that.
I got called away from my home for a work emergency, so I wasn't there when the package arrived. I returned about three days later. My sitter had left the box in the Rite Aid bag. She attached a note, reporting the box had arrived, but there was no Benedryl in the box. At that point I opened up my Postmates app, I noticed that Postmates not only did not provide the product, but they had also billed me $36.90, claiming that the 48 count box of Benedryl was over $24.00! This actually caused my account to overdraft, and I received a nice liittle overdraft fee, bringing the total of this empty box of Benedryl to over $60! To add insult to injury, the process to reach out to get help rectifying the issue is tedious and aggravating. My email address had changed, but I couldn't change it in the Postmates system, I would have to open a brand new account. Though I never received ANY correspondence from the company, my request for assistance in rectifying the issue had been marked "resolved." The entire experience has soured my attitude toward Postmates. Even if they had responded to me, in my correspondence I informed them that I could no longer be reached at that email on my account and I included my new email address. I want to give them ZERO STARS!

First and last time I'll ever *attempt* to use them. Placed advance order for a corporate outing. Delivery window was 30min. At 20min mark, I pulled up the driver's tracker and watch them continue to just loop in circles for 15min never making it to our location (which was only 3mi or 12min from the restaurant). Realized I didn't see a way to contact the driver on the app so I reached out for help on Twitter. An hour later still no food, Twitter team was nonresponsive and just telling me "they're on their way", refusing to give me the driver's number. I call Postmates and at least that Team member acknowledged "that doesn't seem right" (shocking!). While they were looking into it, the driver is now showing an hour or 42mi away (clearing heading home with my food) and the system cancels my order (a full 2 hours after the delivery window). The team member offers a feeble apology and a $50 credit... which is never applied to my account. I try to complete a contact us form about that order on their website, get a 404 error message when I submit. THEY LITERALLY DO NOT WANT YOU TO EVER BE ABLE TO CONTACT THEM.
THEY USE YOUR INFORMATION TO COMMIT IDENTITY THEFT, BE AWARE. I GOT HIT WITH THREE PURCHASES 2 DAYS AFTER I PURCHASED FROM THIS POSTMATE PPL.

* I am just getting my food after ordering 2 hours ago. I kept seeing that the delivery was close like 8 minutes away and then 15 minutes. After the delivery time jumped from being 8minutes to 17 to 19 minutes two or three times and after waiting an hour and 15 minutes I called the delivery person she said she had to wait 30 minutes for my food so she started doing other deliveries and I had to wait. She got loud and started yelling and said should she cancel the order and I called back to tell her no I want the order (I would have canceled but you all changed my bank account $40 and take about 5 days to process refunds) but that it was unacceptable for it to take this long and for her to start other deliveries before completing the mine. She lied and said I cursed at her but I don't curse and did not raise my voice. When she arrived instead of bringing the delivery to my apartment as every other Postmates has done she called to at me again and to tell me to come downstairs when I asked aren't you bringing the delivery up she said know so at 11:05pmI had to go downstairs and when I went down she was at 267 Edgecombe Avenue not 281 Edgecombe Avenue which was my address. So she then yells at me in front of my neighbors (who can testify to this) and insults my appearance. She never apologized for being late, she didn't come to the correct building and complained about how much she was going to get paid. She also said "I should talk $#*! to people who have my food" so though I was charged over $40 for the food I ordered with a $14.50 delivery fee I am throwing the food away. I am requesting a full refund or I am deleting Postmates and ordering with another service. I have never received delivery service like this in all the years I have used multiple delivery services and I frequently order from Postmates.
This was horrible service and she was very rude and even threatening.
ACTUALLY POSTMATES gets no STAR. Save yourself time and trouble. Read the reviews first, what I failed to do because with others services I have had no trouble. They don't deserve half a star. BTW BE VERY LEARY of companies who have the only way you can contact them is through email.
Today was my first time ordering and I was ordering for a business lunch. This will be my last time ordering from postmates. I decided to use them because I received ads with a promo code for first time free delivery.So I figured it would save me time and travel going to get it. I placed the order at 12:19pm the order was to arrive to my office between 1:00 -1:30pm at 2:09pm. I went to check the order and postmates tracker said my food was being picked up. So I had to go pick up lunch from across the street anyway. At 3:15 I looked again, it still said your food is being picked up. REALLY! FROM WHERE! At this point never mind. I went to search how to cancel the order. After 45 minutes THEY should have cancelled the order and contacted me.My money was already taken from my account. I emailed them. Their site reads to cancel the order after it has been prepared (being picked up) you will not be refunded. You will be charged the entire amount of the meal. I have no food and it's been 3hrs waiting for the delivery. Even if it does come I don't want I am not feeding that to anybody. It's old and cold. I go home in 1hr. Still NO phone call, no email. I emailed them to have my payment refunded, IDC what the site says, they never showed up but never contacted me about where the food went, what happened or why. They will cancel this order and put my little money back. I had to call my bank and have the transaction CANCELLED and blocked.
That's some Bad business Postmates. You lose integrity this fast you may as well call it a wrap. I will NOT be doing business with them EVER!

Entirely too many fees. Cost of food $10.27 total Postmate charge. $19.10. Even charge a card fee.
I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN PERIOD. THEY TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT TEICE FOR THE SAMETHING. THEY EVEN CHARGE DEPOSIT AND DON'T GIVE BACK.
1) They put a hold on your account. In all fairness so does Instacart, but Instacart's clears out immediately. Theirs lasts for days.
2) Their solution to this is Uber cash which likely makes them MORE money so it's possibly a ploy to get you to get Uber cash.
3) They will apply a coupon to your order so it is a lesser amount and then pull it. In my case they had take $41 out, had it on hold, then charged me $53. They said the coupon was not applicable to the order but then they shouldn't have applied it at the point of sale.
4) Finding help for this in the application is super difficult as you have to first FIND the specific area for the complaint. They have a lot of choices but when you have anything that doesn't fall into those choices, too bad.
5) They ask for an insane amount of information when they email you about the request. It makes it seem like a) they don't know what they are doing and don't have any records to refer to, b) they are humiliating you for having a complaint, and c) they are trying to get some NPI data from you so they can steal more money from you.
6) They then blame the bank for the low turnaround on the hold, which is hard to believe as many delivery companies DO NOT use a hold, and the ones that do don't hold onto the money for days. In this way, it feels like gaslighting the consumer.
7) Any company that treats CUSTOMERs this badly MUST be terrible to EMPLOYEES. Not only are they holding my money for DAYS -- and overcharging me for an order, and making help hard to get, and gaslighting me when I complain, but I really have to doubt that they are really ethical in regards to their employees. I hope they go out of business and their workers all get better paying jobs at nicer companies.
FINALLY THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS for delivery. I don't need Postmates. So I'm thinking, hmm, the executive leadership must be short sighted for having such a terrible customer service model. Or else they are money launderers or something, TRYING to lose money on purpose. For whatever reason, this is not a good company. I hope you also have many options in your area because this one isn't even worth a try.
