As a driver I take pride in my deliveries. I have a 4.8 life review. Pretty simple accept your delivery. Pick up food. Some wait times are longer during peak hours. We do our best to make sure you have utensils, napkins and condiments when available we drive the fastest route to our destination. Please be sure to tip toe driver as $5 give or take is less than minimum wage. Tips really help and make delivering in our own vehicle worth our time. Also if you live in an apartment complex be sure to include your Building # CLEAR directions to your apartment, include gate code or add us to your list when you have a secured guard at the entrance to your community. I spent a lot of money with Postmates, but after about a year, 2 different credit cards got stolen. My card were used in 2 different states, within 90 days. I had to cancel those cards. Once I quit using Postmates the credit card fraud stopped. They are thieves. Stay away from them.
I ordered via Postmates and spend exactly $16.93 they kept changing the time and then my food was very cold. After requesting 2 managers nothing as resolved. I would not recommend at allllll
Stay away! First, they fail to deliver and there is no "oops, I'm sorry". Next they refund you your food charges, but somehow your tip is not part of it. I left $15 tip on my order and that was problem since they had no way of getting it back from the guy who failed to deliver.
We've been using Postmates for a while. In the beginning it was great! Lately, though, we've been informed that our delivery driver has one or more stops to make after picking up our order. Which means we receive cold, soggy food. I have no idea how the drivers decide what order the orders are delivered in, but, regardless, the system is extremely flawed!
A Total scam, with false promotions. Takes 3 DAYS to PROCESS ORDERS. Service fees are sure to make no differences to your supposed "discount". And, they add secret prices. They placed a 3 day, $55.00 hold on my credit card, then overcharged me on the total. For example, 2 items@ $36.26 + $7.61 service fee = $43.87 - $5.00 promo = $38.87. I was charged $39.65?! That's a $0.78 overcharge.
Postmates is a shady, rip-off outfit that thrives on and exploits ambiguity. They are deliberately hard to reach. You may believe you are ordering "delivery" but will be bait and switched into "pick-up". If you try to cancel, be prepared for an arduous, lengthy, bank-involved, fraud dept involved odyssey designed to take your money and wear you down until you give up - like an insurance company.
There is a reason this site has a one star rating in aggregate. Consider yourself warned.

My food waited at the restaurant for over two hours and never arrived. Do not waste your time and money on Postmates. It's impossible to get a hold of anyone and the estimated delivery times are worthless.
I've had ***two orders in a row*** where the delivery driver dropped/cracked my drink, which was Kung Fu Tea, at my doorstep. Crediting my account means nothing if drivers are not personally held accountable. I understand that mistakes happen and we are human, but we as humans learn nothing if not held accountable for our mistakes. The first delivery driver tried to hide the fact that it happened, thank goodness for cameras. Postmates doesn't care about you, your business, nor their customers. Take your business elsewhere, wish I could rate ZERO stars. Shameful.
They say you can see all charges before placing order but they block the charges with a Grey bar, then show you a total. Once you click place order and pay the price jumps up again. That seems criminal, tried to cancel my order immediately no luck. Will never use this service again would rather be hungry than robbed.

Taxes add so much money to the order. The past 3 times I've ordered off of post mates, something has gone wrong. Parts of my order have been missing, they've gotten my order wrong, or it just never got delivered after it said it was on the way. Literally the worst service ever and I recommend staying far away from this app.

Customer service chat is horrible, it's automated and a waste of time, you'll get 3 with the same response which is, "please give us 1 to 3 minutes to look into your account"... Drivers that are near the area to pick up and deliver 1 item sit there and don't move, then the driver changes and your time gets pushed back. At the end who knows when or if you will get want you ordered to be delivered.

The play the blame game when refunds are required. If a customer order is not correct due to postmates and the restaurant errors (Who Dat Wings in New Orleans), both companies still try to blame the customer & refuse to provide some type of refund where no food was purchased or given to the customer. Along with that the server cross contaminated the food, unsanitary practices. Now I have to get a lawyer involved to obtain a refund least then $50.00. I will never use this service again or purchase any food from Who Dat Wings and More #2 in New Orleans.
Ordered from smashburger. It charged me double. The sandwich and fries were 13 and some change. I paid $27. An hour and a half later my food just barely arrived and its freezing cold. Granted its snowing in Denver right now but its a 5 min drive from restaurant to my job. I will never ever order from them again.

And then took one more transaction from my card for 65,77$. Customer service answer, that they are not able to help, because tips go straight to the Postmates driver. They did nothing to help!

I don't usually use delivery services but thought I would try. I ordered for delivery and food tracker showed food was ready. After 20 mins I called the restaurant and was told that it was ordered for pick up by me. I paid almost $10 extra thru them so I could pick it up? I tried to call Postmates but the phone number didn't work. After tracking down a working number, I was transferred 9 separate times and no one could find my order because even though I had to enter all my info, Post mates did not put my phone number or last name on the order.Good news is,Customer service was very nice as they continued to pass me around. After an hour and a half on the phone, I was told the matter would have to be escalated by email and someone would get back to me. I won't hold my breath!
This must be a criminal organization to promote theft of products they are supposed to deliver. This order was supposedly delivered at 2 a.m. on the same day and many hours before I placed the order with Apple at 4:30 p.m.
My estimated total was 30% less than what I was actually charged and I have to pay $20 to cancel. I would have just drove to get my food I'm so annoyed! Never ever using postmates again, literally a scam. The percent error on that estimate is out of the roof!
With all the competition of food delivery in place I am shocked Postmates is still in business. They have lost their customer service touch and now are just into making money. So I as a consumer choose to spend my dollars elsewhere. This is after asking them to rectify more than one mistake and telling me no. Shame shame.

Selection is decent but it's really nothing to write home about. Don't be fooled by the "delivery credit" they give to get you to sign up. The delivery charge is only a small part of the actual fees they charge. The bulk of it is hidden under "taxes and fees," in case you were wondering why tax is suddenly 25%. The prices end up being the same or slightly higher than traditional delivery sites like Grubhub except you get the added bonus of seeing where your delivery guy is, which can be either helpful or infuriating.

Update: after venting my complaints on postmates facebook account I was refunded my money and Offered to keep my account open with the promise to educate their employees on the issue. I do hope they follow through with educating their employees. I didnt care about the refund by that time but just wanted them to recognize the inconsiderateness. They have apologized and thats more than I can say for other companies who disregard the accommodations needed for disabled individuals.
It is a huge service for people like me who arent that mobile to have food delivered quickly. So I will give postmates another try.
I dont even want to give 1 star. I have specific instructions in my order notes to leave my delivery at my door if I do not answer right away. My disability makes it impossible to move quickly. Since I put that note in my account I have ad the best postmate employees accommodate me until this morning. This postmate left and didnt deliver my order. I assume they left because thats what they claim. When I reported my missing order to postmates they decided I would receive a refund for my food. So I paid for food not delivered to me when the postmate didnt do their job properly. I further complained in response to that email and basically was told sorry for your frustration but they cannot help. So I cancelled my account. Its frustrating dealing with a disability. Its even worse when companies dont care and take advantage of those situations.

Since we ordered from Postmates the restaurant said we had to contact Postmates for a refund. Postmates said that's not the kind of thing they refund - then who does? My order came to $55.50. Postmates refunded $3.58! This is their response:

Small business. Never had problems in the past but obviously they don’t stand behind the quality of their food! The veal piccata was rancid and when I called about it they said their veal was fine and I need to contact Postmates. I did and Postmates said they don’t handle these types of problems!
I ordered with postmates for the first time. My order was 30 minutes later than even tiger latest estimate. And I only received half of my order. Now I've been waiting on customer support for over half an hour with no response.
