Bought a brand new engine, took four hours to drive to store, next day opened up box for what should have been a brand new propoint electric start engine and the unit I was given had been used heavily from signs of dirt and spark plug, along with dirty oil in crank case.

There was no issue with return but wasting 8 hours on my weekend along fuel cost to drive 200km to get to store added to my frustration. Why they re boxed a used engine and sold as new was un acceptable and should be compensated more than a 70.00 discount
I picked a pair of 4.10/3.5 dolly tires advertised at $9.99 but at the cashier became something less than $40 bucks, I was dragged from my home 32 km tow way drive plus traffic. I called costumer service for the falls advertisement she hung up on me. I buy tires for motorcycle, bicycle and car that tire tax is included not that it should be applied after the price, I was offended for the behaviour of the cashier, the girl on costumer service and wasting my time.

I don't know is only this location or is all of their stores, every time I shop here l ended up paying more than I should cause of the price tag of the item is always cheaper than the cashier register,so I will always pay more than I should and sometimes by a lot. I caught them a few times but most of the time they scammed me so badly cause most of the times I was in a hurry and I didn't expect it happen so often! I am very very mad about this garbage place!
Princess Auto's shipping policy is terrible. I have tried twice to order items and they, for some reason or other, will not ship to store. The price, no matter how much I order, ($72) is enough to make you cancel the order.
Two days trying to order a dozen items ' on line' Painfully slow sales website poorly thought out horrible to use. I get pissed off and leave day later return to finish usually forget and Sale expires... Too much like the Cdn Government

Ordered a AC unit July 10 2020. I checked the site daily for status with no new information other than "Not Shipped". 17 days later I received and email saying it was not in stock. I had sent them an email July 22 through their website asking about the status and if I there was a problem that I would change out this AC unit for another on that was just advertised in their new flyer. I never heard back.
Called the customer service and finally reached someone who basically stated that there is nothing they can do and they will not have any more AC units this year. Thank you Princess Auto!
Lethbridge store or probably all princess store r selling gorilla wood glue thats been frozen! The store was aware of it and instead of pulling from shelf, they marked it sale item at $5.99!

I called up to ask about their 2 year return policy. Our home and everything in it was lost to the fires last summer and the manager, Josh, at the Kamloops branch looked up the things that we bought in the last year and even though they were burned in a fire, replaced them. It was above and beyond service and I will always shop there and recommend to others. Thank you.

I bought a Compressor 14 month ago. I used it may be 3 or 4 times a month.

A short time. My old compressor was 26 years old when the motor gave up. My grandson had the same problem, his was 12 month and 2 weeks old and died. I do not recommend any compressors from Princess Auto. They are garbage.

Not only will the never pick up the phone at National Call Center they won't respond to an email to even tell customer any status of their order. Probably the worst experience I have ever had online.
Princess Auto just stop selling items online clearly it's not your thing.
Price correction is extremely bad, many items do not match what is shown. Most do not realize it. Today a Hyundai plug was shown to be 6.99$ I asked the clerk is it on sale for less she looked it up nope it 9.99 I said your pricing is wrong. No response nothing. Be careful this is the forth item I have come across. Costco if price is wrong it red flags and a discount and a apology.

These guys have great sales and service - delivery is always super fast - I ask for Purolator and the cost is very reasonable - don't hesitate to do business with them and they have great guarantees too that they stand by

I purchased a Gorilla cart that was supposed to arrive three days late. When I called the delivery company, they had lost it (Purolator). I called Princess Auto (Ethan) and he could not have been more helpful and PATIENT! He called the delivery company for me, called me back, waited for a very long time for me to gather all the necessary info. (I was at work and away from my credit card info.) re-ordered the cart for me, gave me an added discount, waved the shipping fee and thanked ME for my patience and understanding when it was the delivery agent's fault. 12 hours later, I just received a confirmation that the new cart is on its way with a different delivery company. It was a refreshing experience in this day and age of dealing with any company's customer service. Thank you Ethan!

They make excuses about shipping taking up to 3 weeks, while all other stores ship within a few days. They don't provide you with a tracking number and even if you go to the store directly, they hand you a phone number you can never reach for a tracking number. They tell you in an email that you can track but don't give you the tracking number and if you email them, even repeatedly, they never answer. How stupid is that?
I purchased a sale item online, and didn't receive my confirmation email initially, although I did get one at the time. I was concerned my order hadn't been placed, so I called customer service to see if it indeed go thru. They said, yes, everything was fine and supplied me withy order number. One day later, I receive another email saying they made a mistake, inventory is sold out your order is cancelled. And that's it. No attempt to rectify the issue. I called customer service again and they said the same thing. No inventory on that specific item, if you'd like to buy something else feel free. A reputable company will fix their mistakes, and at least offer a different model at the sale price, even if it's the better model. Princess Auto clearly could care less about their customers. I won't be shopping there any longer.

We were excited about the option to order products online via PrincessAuto.com, and it was the most frustrating experience we've ever received for online ordering.
Ultimately, they cancelled the order without telling us after 3+ weeks of no communication/updates, and even after emailing them about our frustration with requiring ANY customer service, they were non-communicative. Even after phone calls, no one even knew how their systems worked, and couldn't tell us WHY someone would cancel the order 4 weeks after it was promised within 5 days.
Never again will I order online from PrincessAuto.com.

This company seems to be a bit of a gong show. They send out flyers showing products that are
On sale. When you phone the store or go there to buy the product, they tell you that it may be a few months before the products get into the store, as the products are sitting in a warehouse. I personally won't be waiting around for that, I will simply go to a competitor and buy the product at a similar price anyway.
I would suggest that Management at Princess Auto review their internal workings and resolve this issue because it tells me they are completely unorganized and have no idea what's going on in their own system. And, often, their system shows that they have some products in their store, and after wasting my time and gas going there, the employees tell me that there isn't any more of that item in stock.
Time to get their Act together.
I bought the $600+ cement mixer. Brought it back...junk.chinese junk. Bought a sprayer type bottle. Was on sale...again Junk! No more princess, I will NOT buy another product as the quality is horrendous!
First, online inventory showed product in stock, got there and staff couldnt find any of the 24 in inventory. Then drive 45 kms to another store and found product but was grossly misrepresented in the advertising. It was not capable of doing what was advertised and it did not come with all the accessories that were supposed to be included. Customer Service gave me the blow off with no explanation for the false advertising which is still used online today! Obviouslely this is intentional!
It's a sheer frustration if you decide to place online order. No repose to "contact us". Connecting to call center is real torture. I would not recommend anyone placing online order. If store is nearby, pick up your stuff. I would rate online sale negative 1 star if possible.
Bought a nice 15 hp engine at Princess in Ottawa. Bought a Comet torque converter, got it home and opened the box to discover it was partially assembled, parts and some hardware was missing. No other available at that store so I called the West end store. They assured me they had three in stock, all unopened. I went there and all three had been opened, likely refunded to other customers because they were greasy, dirty, missing some parts and one had a well used belt in the box. I got a refund for mine and the Manager then offered to sell me one at a discount if She and I could find enough parts to make one good unit! I told here to keep it. A call to the head office got a promise that a higher level team member would give me a call back right away. No call... no surprise there either. Very disappointed.
I ordered a set of trailer taillights online, and received an email a day or so later that the order was ready for pickup. Upon arrival I was asked to park in a numbered space, call the store and tell them I was here, which I did and I also clicked on the link the text that that had been sent to me... at that time there were four or five cars in the spaces. I waited, and waited, and waited. I asked a couple of employees, who didn't seem to know anything. Bottom line, I finally got the package 50 minutes after arrival. A totally disorganized mess of an operation.

Don't try to use their curbside pickup unless you have an hour or so to waste.
I ordered 4 products online. Two of them were what I really wanted. The other two were just small add-on items. They only sent the two small add-on items and charged the amount of shipping fee of the whole order. Three days later, they sent me an email to inform me "Due to an inventory error, we had to cancel one or more items from your Princess Auto Order# o*******. Unfortunately, they can no longer be shipped, and you will not be billed for the cancelled items." Since price of the small items plus shipping fee are much higher than market retail price of the items, I am going to return the two small add-on items and see whether they are going refund me shipping fee.
