You are not allowed 10 days like they say to postpone your payment date if an emergency happens you are stuck and they will not allow you to pay the 10 days if you are on your renewal month totally horrible customer service I could call my old insurance company the little green guy and they would change it to a date I needed when I asked and never gave me attitude about it on the phone.

My husband and I sign up for auto insurance we are over 60 with excellent driving record. We notice after a few months being with progressive over 300 dollars more was taken out of my husband checking account. They added a sick person that doesn't live with us and don't even have a license all unknown to us.They did not spoke to my husband or I before they went in and take out what they wanted out of my husband account. Shame on these people. Please keep a eye on your account.This is taken advantage of seniors citizens,shame on these people.
I have had several policies with Progressive (vehicles, trailers, ATVs) for well over 20 years and haven't had an issue with them until now. I always disclose the members of my household as required. This year, Progressive decided they did not believe me. Progressive decided that several people lived in my 1-bdrm home with me and unilaterally added them as drivers on my policy. I have no idea who these people are or why they were associated with my address. In adding these strangers, Progressive divulged personal information about them to me as well, including their full names, dates of their last several claims, years of birth, driver's license states, last 4 of their licenses, number of years licensed, marital statuses. These strangers have different last names from each other and from myself. They also have drivers licenses in three different states--none of which are my state. In doing a quick internet (public records) search by myself, I was able to find a true address for at least one of them. Progressive should be required to do more in-depth research and not put the onus on me to tell them someone does not live with me. Progressive did not call to ask me about these strangers. Progressive's only call was to push for bill payment after they increased my premium--but since I knew I had paid my policy in full, I dismissed the call as a scam. Progressive should not rely on emails--these are often phishing tactics and dismissed as well. To add insult to injury, when I called Progressive, I was met with pedantic script reiteration and zero attention to customer service--there was not a smile in that voice from the word "hello". I told them I did not know the added drivers and yet they repeatedly asked "How do you know___?" So I will be moving all of my policies to another provider now and because both my husband and I were treated so poorly on the phone, we will share our experience with as many people as possible so they can avoid feeling bad too.

Here to report (once again) the fraud operated by Progressive, which operates Price gouging, as they notice that people return to their original quote, few hours after the initial estimation.
I got a quote on June 30th for 294,50US$
For some personal reasons, I did not manage to pay on the same time (important element, as you will see in a bit)
Progressive sends me my quote and confirms my price
Today I click on the link they sent me and…surprise surprise!
The quote has been price gouged across all dimensions and it is 15% more expensive in just 4 days.
As I call the operator today, she said that:
1) It is normal for them to run checks after the midnight of the same day. Following that they can change the price (+15% increase in my case). This is due to some sort of regulations
2) If I had paid at the same time, I was seeing the quote, the price would have not changed by a single penny ( i.e.: that regulation check maybe applies or maybe not. But the price would not change)
It is role of every citizen to report the greedy, immoral and unethical behaviour of those businesses. Insurances are the most hated companies across the United States – and for a good reason.
This is a clear indication of one of the many reasons, for which people HATE THEM

1) Price Gouging built in your IT system
Recently I put my data for a car insurance quote. It spit 374US$. As it was very late in the evening, I decided to save the quote and pay the next day.
The next day, the quote had (surprise surprise!) disappeared. I call your customer service to ask for clarification and to talk to the manager.
The lady prevented me from talking to any manager, as she pushed her way into making a new quote reflecting the previous evening's. Aware of the previous evening work, I made it clear to her, I did not want to spend more than 5 mins.
She stole 30 minutes of my days regardless
And uelessly.
She got all the info and your system spits out this a hefty +20% vs the previous evening. Clearly she had no intention to tell me, that this is the tactic, Progressive use, to make sure, that people pay more on the second attempt (+20% price increase). Her explanations were that the price change.
Even within 10 hours.
SCAMMERS, are such companies called

Couple of days later my wife decided to do the insurance with you anyhow, given you are spending billions in marketing and your name is appearing on each single webpage of each single web portal globally.
We get to the paying page. Differently from last time, we had the intention to pay immediately, so to avoid the price your price gouging technique.
The price had once again gone up (since it is a woman driving – read more below). The only difference is that this time we were smart and took a print screen, as a proof.
As you see the amount to pay was 406US$ (so still 30US$ more than my forever gone quote)
We click to pay and … voila' now it is 439US$.

Given there was no time left, and we needed an insurance from the next day (and progressive DOES KNOW IT!) we paid the 439US$, with the promised to call your customer disservice.
My call was last Sunday 6th of August is a further testimony to the scam level of Progressive and its incompetent customer service (details below)
The operator name is George and the call happened at 2:15 pm Central time. He decided not to provide me ID number, so he could not be identified.
When I asked for his ID, he close the call on me (and he knew he had f-. D it up)
So now this is your job, to track him down
George told me a number of different things contradicting each other
1) First he said to me, in this case, there is a sales number to call and get an explanation 7/7 and 24/24.
I answered that would have not worked as I had the print screen in front of me ( thanks God I kept the proof) and there is no phone number being offered to call in case of misalignments. Customers are given little options but to pay. Attaching proof of print screen. Look for yourself
LIAR
2) Then he went to his manager and just wasted my time, when he said, that the prices are subject to changes. With the lady the price changed in a matter of hours, now in a matter of minutes. YES: you need to be quick with progressive quote as it goes up as the clock ticks.
SCAMMERS
3) He said, that the premium changes depending if this is a man or a woman. In other words My wife has to pay more, because she is a woman
DISCRIMINATORS
I will not comment further here and leave it to the public on the social media to comment.
So 3 different answers to cover their price gouging.
In summary this George (real name?) failed in the 3 basic dimensions of:
1) Lying
2) Price Gouging
3) Discriminatory policy.
Request:
1) Refund the difference of the gouged price vs. the initial quote I received 374US$ (tot refund 65US$)
2) Fire this George
3) Send me the policy contract I have been asking 4 times so far

I was involved in a car collision I was hit from behind and pushed into the car in front of me, traffic was moving but the car in front of me came to an abrupt stop so I had to do the same the car behind me did not, the crash report says the same thing. Progressive received my crash report but apparently now" the driver who hit me says it was not her fault her insurance company is Statefarm, they are not claiming liability even though I was told their claims adjuster is out of town for 2 weeks so how can they say the driver who hit me is not at fault and if they did a virtual investigation why can't they talk over the phone about their findings? I can't even contact the claims adjuster for state farm at the moment. But the best part is I was told that my damages may not be paid for because the person who hit my car can't afford to pay for my damages and the car I was pushed into, mind you that car has no damages I have photos and video from the scene of the accident so pretty much I have to pay for my own damages. Progressive is not being proactive in my opinion they could try order footage of the accident or try to investigate further in my behalf just like Statefarm is doing for their client, Well today I attempted to get footage from FDOT, myself and I'm getting a lawyer as well because I most definitely was not at fault, and when I get this all straightened out I'm switching car insurance, I am not happy with progressive at all, they have "one" job and they've failed...

The other driver was at fault and has Progressive. My car was totaled. They really gave me a low price for a 2017 with 80k miles on it...only $*******! Well that's whenever my bank sees the check. They mailed a check to the bank and it's day number 12 and still nothing. Meanwhile I had to return the rental 12 days ago...thinking funds would be sent electronically! So I'm left vehicle-less and can't apply for another car loan due to the current one still showing in full! I am very disgusted and hope I never have to deal with Progressive again!

Was in accident with a progressive driver In Aug 15 2022 and now Sept 6th and still no one has attended to shop where my car is at then after 19 days I have to pay storage fees while I'm not at fault and they claim that policy holder has made no attempt to give statement but my police report says different. Progressive should not exist and no I will not pay storage fees and. Yes lawyers are on it as I type so beware of there policyholders. Pictures below shows my car in black and policy holder in white obviously shows at fault vehicle but yet there half Stepping so like I said be careful with progressive driver's.
I was violated by having my car broken into. So I filed a comprehensive claim. Next thing I know this no good company decided to double by payments without any explanation. It is counterintuitive to have insurance when you need to use it and that's what happen. We'll Progressive if you took the time to inquire about your customers you would have found out that I have been driving for 50 years without any accident. So how the hell can you consider me an un safe driver. All you are to this company is a number and nothing else. Consider your self warned. Please don't get insurance from this company. Bad business!
I would say Progressive is just your typical, no frills car insurance company with decent customer service. However, their pricing is way too expensive. They only rewards drivers with clean records. I would shop around for cheaper polices as they are there to be had. Nothing special about this company at all.

I have multiple policies with Progressive. In less than a year they raised my homeowners insurance by $ 438.00. Without one claim. The excuse was my house valued more in less than a year... these people are giving cheap rates only to raise them when they got you... Flo must be raising her salary... I dumping them ASAP.
After the res umbrella company aka Travelers increased my insurance there times because I decline to use their driving app "intellidrive" I went to Progressive a completed their online application. They gave me a $642 quote for 6 months. When I asked them if they were going to increase my quote as Travelers did they told me they were going to ask me to send proof of insurance and base on how long I was with the "other insurance" they will adjust my quote. That means insurance companies are working with each other to take money out of the drivers with any stupid excuses like not using their driving app or changing carriers when they increase their prices three times higher like Travelers did. What a rip-off of progressive car insurance. The advertising in the picture is deceiving as if you lower the price it also lowers your coverage.
Avoid this company at all costs. They are totally dishonest. They will add your underage children to your auto insurance policy even if they don't have a permit. They charged me over $900 to insure my underage child and refused to give me my money back. I'm surprised that this level of dishonesty is even legal.

Have ma neighbor trees lifting my fence, and progressive was Incapable of calling my neighbors insurance to remove the trees. Rather they refused they're responsibility to protect my property. Progressive is a scammer. Never buy their services, on the web they cover and pay for averting, when you need them, you are at your own. Stay away of them.

I spent one hour, 23 minutes and 19 seconds trying to reduce my rate. I was transferred to SEVEN DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Including being sent back and forth with the same departments. I have never had a more frustrating experience with a company. Also, after all that my questions were still not answered clearly. Find a different insurance company if you're looking at Progressive don't do it!
Not to mention their rates are ridiculous.

Customer service doesn't listen. I set up my policy for a one time draft and asked the agent to send me a reminder of when it was due. I didn't want a monthly draft. Twice they sent drafts to my bank. Then charged me when the bank declined it. I spoke with customer service and told them I never gave the agent permission for a monthly draft. Progressive was trying to charge me a $20.00 fee for the declined draft. I told them I'm not paying it. They can accept next months payment at what it's supposed to be or I'd dump them. The agent was apparently ok with me letting them go so I said see ya. Insurance companies are a dime a dozen so Flo can kiss my $#*!

Absolute trash, I've been paying into insurance my entire life without making a claim. Im 31 years old and some dumbo breaks 2 of my windows out and robs us and damages our brand new car. I Would love for our insurance company have our backs when something like this happens but it's been an absolute nightmare. Our claims rep doesn't respond to us for 5 days. They cant find anyone to fix our car for another 3 months. They cover a rental for 30 days at $40 a day. Sweet I should be able to get a motorcycle with that. Now I have 3 kids and am Carless. I've paid over $20,000 in insurance in my life and this is what I got out of it. Do yourself a favor and get insurance from someone else.

15 year loyal customer here. After being involved in a total loss accident where I was not at fault, they tried to lowball me with a pathetic payoff amount on a brand new vehicle after no communication for 2 weeks. When I disagreed with the payoff and hired my own appraiser they stopped all communication. What horrible customer service! Do not choose progressive!
On 5/14/2022 I was driving on freeway when their drive rear ended my car. I had stopped for the car in front of me. My car totaled and my daughter and I suffered severe injuries. My husband put claims in with our insurance and progressive. Our insurance reached out the same day while progressive never reached out. Not once. After seven weeks, lost work, lost family time, lost school, unable to cook, unable concentrate, insomnia, multiple doctors appointments and severe pain and headaches still nothing from progressive. When I found out I needed surgery……I finally called their claims department. They asked if I wanted to fix my car! Are you kidding me! It's been 7 weeks. My insurance handled it and was picking up what it could if our medical bills. To date over four months later progressive has done nothing. Diana solis the claims rep is unhelpful and rarely responds.

Their website scrolls and scrolls and scrolls. Then, you go to see YOUR own policy and the website reads, "You don't have access to this page." Uh, it is MY insurance policy and I am logged in. Then there is the claim process - no communication whatsoever from agents. Then, the website (the one time I was able to see my policy (homeowner), the site indicated that I received four payments. I did not. They must have sent them to someone else, but you cannot contact them via email, chat, phone, whatever... to find out WHERE the heck are MY checks that you state you sent, and I cashed. I did NOT cash them. You owe me over $1,000.00 and nobody at your offices will even answer phones. I switched from Geico, and am now really, really regretting the change. I now miss the gecko. I spent over 6 hours on the phone with various Progressive agents because I couldn't purchase insurance for a second home, boat, or umbrella polices on line. My only option was to call and give up 6 hours of my life instead of an hour or less answering all of Progressives' questions on line. They also pulled the bait and switch on me, also. They only asked a small number of questions on line, gave me a quote, and then when I went to purchase, I was required to call the sales department. You definitely do NOT want to trust this cheap company with your car, house, or anything you own. Very rude and ungenuine staff. They quote you real cheap, but that's just because every fix they do is cheap. I'd usually say you get what you pay for, but in this case you're really being ripped off regardless how low you pay. While with this company my fiancé crashed his car! Our rate went up 200 dollars! I decided to finish my term and depart from them to find cheaper! Before leaving I get a call stating that I missed a payment in may-June and was insured with no payment received! I left them in October! I asked for proof that I received service with no payment! I got nothing! Per policy states no payment then coverage will lapse! They then place it on my credit! I have proof of last payment receipt for the end of that term! They have caused me migraines and I'm sick to my stomach with these issues! Nothing but heartache! I will never return my service needs to them nor do I recommend them! I even sent screenshots of payment! They put it on my credit even though I made the payment! They never got a judgment or anything to be able to affect my credit! They didn't try to resolve anything!
