After an unfortunate incident with my car whilst having a tyre replaced at a Protyre service depot (Gates Tyres, Lillyhall) I contacted the Protyre CEO.
I was really impressed by the way in which my complaint was handled and have only praise for the expeditious service received from the Protyre team in arranging for the damage to be repaired. I was also grateful for the loan of a courtesy car whilst my car was being repaired.
I have just had a front tyre fitted at Gates Tyres and watched as the fitter jacked my car up with the jack in the wrong place causing damage the sill. I immediately pointed this out to him. "No problem pal, I'll soon sort that out" was his reply. After fitting the tyre he walked away. I followed and asked "what about this damage you've done?". He returned to my car, looked at the damage for a few minutes and then disappeared into the office. He came back with another person, who I assume was his boss, who tried to convince me that the fitter hadn't damaged the sill and that it had previously been done. Even after explaining to him that I saw the damage happen and suggesting he look on the CCTV which would show my reactions, I could see that they weren't going to accept responsibility, Rather upset at the incident, I paid for the tyre, told the staff of my dissatisfaction and walked out.
