I am doing an undergraduate course in straight mathematics after a 10-year gap in education. This is brilliant and absolutely my favourite website, with loads of free concise and easy to read explanations. I use it as a reference and to refresh topics. It has some very good proof as well.
After being out of school for many years and having a serious phobia of Calculus (did not do very well 3 times prior in High School and college, purple math broke the concepts down and allowed me to work through the basics to build up knowledge and confidence so I could place well in for new undergraduate program!
This is a cool web site that I like to use as a reference when teaching math. It has plain English rather than Math Speak. Cool site
purplemath.com is the best to learn from but for some reason I cannot get the web site why?
http://www.purplemath.com Need help with algebra? Elizabeth Stapel's lessons are practical, informal, and sometimes a little bit snarky. Give 'em a whirl!
Congratulations on your return to school! I'm glad to hear that Purplemath has proved helpful in your studies. Thank you for sharing your experience!
