I had ordered some boots and I ordered the boots based on measurements not size because every shoe is different, unfortunately the shoe did not fit and I told them I wanted to exchange, they said I have to return the item back, I went to fed ex and usps and they were going to charge me 50 dollars to ship item back and that's half of what I paid for the shoes, I called and told them this and they said that the only thing is I can exchange it in the store but the closest store to me is 2 1/2 hours away, I decided I was going to re order and then if I get the chance to go to the closest store I will return them there, I called and the lady had told me that I'll lose out on my 15% off if I reorder, so after some time I decided that was not going to be efficient so I just decided to not make it complicated and ship the shoes back, so I did I called I told the girl I wanted an exchange for a size 8 and gave her the tracking number, she said they won't process the exchange until they receive the boots, but today I receive a call and they told me that they processed a refund when I specifically asked for an exchange, I went through the trouble and spent lots of money to ship the item in hopes for an exchange and get a refund instead, if I knew that would've been the case I would've waited to exchange the shoes at the store instead of having spent so much shipping the item back
Ordered some boots, was provided shipping information but it's been three weeks and still no boots and no response from Customer Service.
Why no public restrooms? In a strip mall it is essential that you have public restrooms! No business from me!
I ordered three pairs of Hey Dude shoes; two womens and one mens. The first shipment was one pair of the womens shoes and the mens. On the website they had the woman's pair that I ordered labeled as "black" but when I received them the box said "starry night" and they were clearly navy blue. I called to tell them their website had the shoes mislabeled and anyone who orders back shoes expects to receive black shoes, not navy. She insisted the warehouse shipped me the wrong shoes and she would reship me the correct ones, and I continued to tell her that wasn't the case. In the end, though, I thought she understood. I asked if I could choose a different pair that were actually black. I was told I had to wait 24-48 hours for email approval. I received that email two days later and another email saying the black shoe order had been processed but by that time had decided to keep the navy shoes because I was over dealing with the company, so I called to cancel that order. Three days later I received a shipment and had no idea why, and turns out it was the same pair of wrong (starry night-navy blue) shoes yet again. They reshipped me the wrong shoes TWICE. So, I had to go to the library and then to fedex to ship them back when I never asked them to ship me navy blue shoes once, let alone twice.
Never thought I would be a Karen, but I went straight up Karen on the lady who took my last call because she didn't believe their website was wrong and made me email her a picture of the discrepancy between their label and the shoe box and shoe color. It was only after receiving my email that she apologized to me. I spent $180 on this website and had to make 5 phone calls totaling 1 hour and 27 minutes to get this straightened out.
Needless to say, never again.
Went to return pair of shoes I paid 33.32 for at the rack room shoes at Riva Festival. Had 2 receipts because of my daughter exchanging a pair of shoes at the Annapolis Mall rack room shoe store. We did that under the suggestion of the salesperson at Riva Festival because he wanted his store to get credit for selling both pairs of shoes. But they did not have the size for my daughter so we had to go to the Annapolis Mall to exchange the shoes for a different pair her size. No credit was ever given back to me on my credit card. It was right there in black and white that no credit was ever given back to my credit card. All he had to do was be smart enough to know how to read the receipt. But this manager was too dumb to understand the receipt! And to be able to make up his own mind without putting the information into the computer to see that no money was ever refunded to me that I paid $33.32 for my shoes ( blowfish tennis shoes). He got nasty with me and asked me what I wanted to do and I told him just give me the shoes I'll give them away rather than have you cheat me out of my $20. He was very degrading the way he talked to me and I am a 69-year-old woman and don't need to be talk to rudely from anyone! Especially someone who has no common sense. So I got upset and they had a line so I said just give me my refund because I thought they were giving me a $29 refund no they gave me a $19.99 plus tax refund and that was the price I paid for my daughter's shoes. If he looked at original receipt he would have seen that! He kept saying the person at Annapolis Mall made the mistake. If she made a mistake with an even exchange that is not my fault. Plus tried to show him no credit was refunded to my account. So what he did was give me a refund for my daughter's shoes by the way my daughter still has them. Because they were only $19.99 plus tax where my blowfish tennis shoes were 40 some dollars plus tax but with a discount they ended up costing $33.32 plus the tax. My husband buys his work shoes from there but you can bet we will never go to another rack room shoe store again. They should hire people that have common sense and can look at the receipt and know what I'm saying cuz it was right there in black and white but I guess he was just too dumb to figure that out. I'm tired of being ripped off by companies because they can't do their jobs correctly! This is a very dissatisfied customer and I had to let this be known. Don't buy shoes there if you ever think you may have to return them or you have money to waste. My shoes were never worn they were just too tight on my feet so I returned them and was going to get a different size. Don't go to rack room shoes at Riva Festival unless you want to be degraded, ripped off and robbed of your money. I have all receipts to prove my case. If I was a man this manager would not have treated me like this or talked down to me!
Answer: I would advise potential customers to consider whether they have a retail location nearby. While Rack Room Shoes has great pricing, their online return policy leaves something to be desired in the modern marketplace. In a day and age when return shipping at no charge is offered by many clothing and shoe companies on the internet, you will have to pay return shipping out of your own pocket plus be liable for any shipping charges taken out of your refund with Rack Room Shoes should the shoes not fit/work out for you. In the end, you might spend between $12 and $25 for the round trip shipping... and have nothing to show for it. After making 3 phone calls, and a week waiting for a return phone call that never happened, I spoke with Lisa, supervisor of customer service (800)248-0692, about this policy. She was polite and offered to refund only the original shipping charge. Internet pricing and no charge return policies being what they are at major online retailers like Amazon and Zappos, I suggested that their shipping policy being on the customer should be pointed out on each product page of their website. I am sure this will not happen, since it would certainly lower their sales to customers who don't live close enough to a retail store for returns. BE AWARE. I am still out $11.92... don't let this happen to you!
