My experience with RACV has been highly disappointing and distressing. On December 25th, my home was broken into, and both of my cars were stolen. One car, a Mazda CX-9, insured with AAMI, was compensated for within 25 days. The other car, a BMW 420i, insured with RACV, has been a source of ongoing frustration.

RACV initially informed me that my car was classified as a total loss and offered a settlement of $66,010. I reluctantly accepted this offer and paid a non-refundable deposit of $10,000 for a new car. However, RACV later informed me that my car had been found and that they would not provide the agreed payment.

Despite my efforts to explain the financial and emotional hardship this decision caused, RACV has been unresponsive. Additionally, the rental car provided by Sixt was recalled due to RACV's decision to stop covering the expenses, leaving me without transportation to work.

This entire situation has caused significant stress and financial loss for my family and me. RACV's failure to honor the initial agreement and lack of communication have only added to our distress.

I urge RACV to reconsider their decision and provide the agreed payment for my car. This experience has left me questioning the reliability and integrity of RACV as an insurance provider.
