I used this app daily. However, after I updated last week, I find it unusable. Truly horrible. You really messed this up. I loved the former maps/listings view. I hate the split screen on my iPad.
What's most frustrating about realtor.com is that it seems to waver between working pretty well and having major issues. One issue on their website today, ironically, is that the feedback link doesn't work. But the more important thing that's bugging me right now is that I keep entering notes for saved properties - and, yes, I'm clicking the 'save' button for each - then when I log out and log back in later they're gone or have reverted to an earlier version of the note I had. This has happened about three times this week. I've been using this website for probably 15 years and this is a new thing. I don't know if it's a syncing problem or what, but it shouldn't happen. There's always some new frustration. The prior one was when all my saved properties got deleted. That time, the feedback button worked. I was told they had some software issue and eventually I got all my saved properties back. I've also deleted a number of saved properties only to continue to be told that I was at the max. This shouldn't be that hard. If they'd just stick to a design that works rather than continuing to change features all the time, I think they'd have happier customers.
I used it daily for my house search. Updated today and it crashes every time I try to use it. Friends told me how bad it was I should have listened. I just deleted the app
I do home searches everyday as an investor. Realtor.com gets it's updates from the MLS; as I understand it, so do other Websites. The problem with realtor.com is, it's drop down menus do not function well, you have to re-enter data when you change a location even though it might be the next town over. And, sometimes the drop downs do not work at all and you can't enter any price selections. The tax data does not necessarily match the tax information from the county's records. The map function is probably tied to googlemaps, however I looked at 10 houses today with difficulty, switching between Trulia and realtor.com because either selecting the price of the home wouldn't work, the actual information on the home would not open at all, or the map location was completely off by several streets. Very frustrating. If you are doing a one time search in one town, it's okay. I'd suggest using Trulia or Redfin which are not perfect, no site is, but they are more consistent and reliable in my opinion than realtor.com.
Buyer Beware! I signed up with realtor.com, they boast and sell the product as if superior to all others. I was very happy for the first year, but then the gave me a price adjustment upon renewal. Automatically renewing they DOUBLED my feess. I called and complained spoke with Justin NannSykes who was very unpleasant and wants to tell you what YOU are going to do. Extremely passive aggressive. They decreased my # of referrals to NONE and continued to charge me the original fees. I realized that there have been no refunds and my services have been completely cut off, they were charging me and providing zero service. I called back to complain and they just sent me right back to Justin, who when he spoke to me started every sentence with "I told you when we last spoke." Completely unacceptable and completely unbelievable! There is nothing pleasant about being conned and ripped off by these referral companies. I wish we did not need them and I wish there was some way to regulate them. In addition to that they stated that they would refund the money they stole, it has been over a month and still nothing. This company is criminal as far as I can see and I hope they are audited as a result of this review and found to be unethical scammers! Extremely disappointed REALTOR... in my opinion this company is very unethical! :(
This used to be my favorite for house hunting. What happened? This website is so annoying to use now. Where are the recently sold homes? Bring back the old website. The new one is impossible!
Some listings come up gray shaded (all of a sudden), yet if I go to other sites Zillow, trulia they have the full listing w/photos, Also realtor.com will freeze. Up (not my computer) and you can't go to the next page. It comes up 494 Error the request could not be satisfied-Bad Request-Generated by Cloudfront. Yet I have no problem with Zillow or Trulia. Took my computer to Best Buy and they said it is the site not my computer also my real estate agent has the same problem in his office. SICK OF THIS SITE- WILL NO LONGER WASTE MY TIME USEING REALTOR.COM!
Normally this Realtor(Suresh Tangudu) will speak with you softly and picks up all your personal data and cunningly responses to your request based on his own benefits. Do not recommend this guy.
It keeps freezing and wasting my time. Not accurate at all. Not sure where they get their data, but the site is not very friendly, and keeps freezing and not going anywhere when I hit search.
How could you have such a great website then turn it into junk. What the hell is the front office doing, smoking crack? You need to go back to the old format. It was awsom. This one is pathetic!
I used to love realtor.com but they had to go and change it. I now hate it! Very hard to use, less options, slower. Wish they would put it back the way it was.
My realtor Bridgett Jacobs was great always available. Just a phone call away. Love doing business with her really recommend Bridgette Jacobs with Keller Williams.
I am so disappointed in the Realtor.com Connection for Co-Brokerage product. Here is the communication I had at the end of the year when they realized I was not going away quietly and they offered to give me a refund:
I understand that you have offered me a refund of $323.66 and I would appreciate you letting me know how that was calculated. Here is a breakdown of the the leads that I have received from Realtor.com since establishing my account in June of 2015.
34 Leads total of which 2 were duplicates so really 32
Of the 32 leads:
7 were for timeshares (average sales price around $5000
1 Boat Slip
1 Rental request
And a few that were under contract already or only available through an auction
I am sure you can imagine my disappointment after being told that I would be receiving an average of 4-5 leads per month for a total of 48-60 leads per year. I paid $1,941.96 for the year. Since I only received 32 leads I only received 66.6% of what was promised so I should be receiving a credit for 33.3% of the $1,941.96 which is $646.67.
I have just started the looking for a house process and I saw one I really liked. So i contacted Realtor.com So I can take a peek at a house i was interested in, I have talked to my bank about a pre approved loan and Im able to get on based upon the cost of the house im interested in, the agent from realtor.com that called me said she would not give me the time of day till i was pre approved for the house! 1 REALLY? WHY THE HELL WOULD I GET PRE APPROVED FOR A HOUSE I NEVER LOOKED AT! She said there rules are if you see a house on there site you like you have to get approved for that house before you can even look at it! Is this how house buying really is? What if you dont like the house after you saw it or there is more issues then listed! INSANE!
I now have to go to the listing agent's website to see if the listing is active, The filters are now useless. Please go back to the old format. Much user friendly and not a waste of time.
A year and a half ago I decided to start work with Realtor.com they said that I would have a lot of leads But never happened, when they send you an email the same time they send a lot of Realtors when my contract expired I called to cancel it was never done they said I never canceled I had to do it for another 6 months in which I never received absolutely anything, I must have received in 6 months probably six leads who were useless.
This site manipulates data. To the benefit of even down to one agent by falsely reporting a valuation with no data but with an agent's opinion which is biased, and unprofessional, as they are not appraisers.
When confronted, Realtor.com says they do not guarantee the value or they'll say its not to be used for appraisal. They'll publish and lowball the number, but the buyers take it as gospel. This gives the area agent an upper hand and can also lead to area realtors artificially controlling prices, to a buyer's agent advantage.
Realtor.com is more than happy to publish false numbers but won't stand behind them. Zillow was likewise accused by an Illinois real estate attorney of this, but the case was thrown out by a Liberal judge.
The end victim is the seller, and maybe the buyer in the opposite scenario. Realtor.com is controlled by Newscorp, one of the largest media groups worldwide.
The Sherman Antitrust Act is at play here and this would not be the first time a group of realtors, supported by Realtor.com were cited by the Federal Govt.
However the federal govt SHOULD do a complete review of Realtor.com practices and how this ties into the National $#*!'n of Realtors.
Who by the way, is one of the biggest lobby groups in Congress.
One hand washes the other.
I complained to Realtor about Long and Foster/Fonville Morisey's actions while representing me. Nothing was done. I submitted proof that Rod Eller, a Sr VP at Fonville, allowed a entry-level broker under his supervision to alter my offer with terms I had refused to sign(I would only make an offer if I had a loan pre-approval letter to attach for 90% financing. But this was changed to '80%' to suggest I had a stronger financial position than was factual.)
I was also required to sign a 6% agency agreement as a condition for submitting a contract. When I pushed back and asked why I couldn't offer 3%, I was told I had to offer 6% because I was using dual agency and if I didn't I could not make an offer.
Both of these actions are directly contradicted by law. Again, no explanation or willingness to take responsibility for the $15,000 I ended up offering in exchange for Fonville's "services"

I just read the Inman News article about Brian Bobik's, past employee of Realtor.com/Move Inc. defrauding Agents. I experienced everything Bobik states about the unethical manner in which Salespersons at Realtor.com/Move Inc promise to Realtors.
It is disheartening, NAR, who owns Realtor.com, states they are not getting involved in an internal employee dispute, but, I feel they should also state they will look into the defrauding and unethical practices of Realtor.com/Move Inc. is doing to NAR's members, The Real Estate Agent. I also, received "fake" leads, "supposed" to have a 6 month contract and they continued to bill my credit card, although I cancelled 2 months in advance of the 6 month contract. I called after the payments kept going to my credit card, I was told they would stop, month after month, I was charged 4 times. I finally filed a dispute, sent my email confirming my 6 month contract with the contractual dates and my credit card company did correct the 6 months.
I thought it was just me, maybe, with the horrible deceptions, but reading about Brian Bobik in Inman News, confirmed it is a overall practice of doing business with unsuspecting, hard working Realtors. It makes me sad.
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
