I bought a house through Realtor.com in July. I was told of the "Buyers Rewards" program where you get a 0.3% rebate within 2 months of submitting the form, after you have closed on your house purchased. I promptly filled this out and gave it 2 months before inquiring. I have called them several times and have sent several emails. I get the same response saying that it has been referred to their Accounting department and they are processing this. They also state that my real estate agent hasn't provided something that they need. I have spoken to my real estate agent and his manager a few times and they do not know what they need to provide. It has become very clear that the Buyers Reward program is just a scam to get people to utilize their services. Aside of this issue, my homebuying experience went well, but this is their advertised program and I expected that they would honor it. I will never use realtor.com and will advise anyone that I know in the market for a house to use a company that honors their claims.
Bought a 6 month zipcode, first week got 3 leads and then only received 1 a month until the last month I got 3 more. Seemed fishy, leads would never answer your phone calls, emails, or texts. Got only 2 leads to respond. Entered into a 12 month different zipcode with the understanding that after 6 months I would reevaluate to continue. Got a few leads within the first 2 weeks and then maybe one a month. Same thing happened, only 30% of the leads would respond, of the 30%, only 5% were actually looking. These are not vetted leads like I was told. I had 3 leads trying to find out their old landlords number, a few leads just wanted to know if the house was still for sale, had a few that already had a Real Estate Agent which referring a lead that has already entered into a buyer agreement can get me into legal issues. Realtor.com is a scam, they sell you false leads.
If you want to try them out, go ahead, but buy the cheapest market. What you'll experience will be the same as if you give them a ton of money in a hotter market (zipcode)
App states that my home was sold a few months back. Checked public records and nothing has changed. No real way to contact anyone about the error.
What happened here? They took a very good, user friendly site and broke it. Their marketing folks need to kill this update. Bring the old realtor.com back!
Beware of their monotone put you to sleep reading of the terms. They have been withdrawing funds from my account without my consent - $2,295.75 in five $459.15 withdrawals.
A salesperson named Ali Hosseini contacted me about a lead generation service for realtors. He sounded very good and I consented to give them a try for a month. I gave him my debit card in exchange of 8 leads that I was going to receive for the month. Shortly after I did not receive any leads and I started contacting the salesperson and
realtor.com to no avail. Despite to not having a contract, the billing kept on recurring and the amount of leads promised not delivered. It was a scam.
An "Account Specialist" named Joe Brown contacted me told me that I signed a 12 month contract which I never did and that they are not obligated to give me any number of leads - just leads. He said he could not credit me for the lack of leads, and that the billing will continue. I had to call my credit card and close it, and dispute the charges. Unfortunately they can only go 3 billing cycles back.
Overall, I received 22 leads in a 5 month period. I was paying for 40 and I should have received 40. They refused to credit me any money, and refused to discontinue charging my credit card.
The qualify of the leads was horrendous. They may be inclined to tell you that the agents that complain are not good agents. I have been the #1 RE/MAX agent in Florida in 2010 and 2014, and #1 in Broward County for 2012. I am a pretty good agent however, I did not even meet a single prospect let alone close one.
They repeatedly called after speaking with them they made me wait 24 hours only to tell me they couldn't find a agent to help. Again don't waste your time
When I signed up for Realtor.com leads in August of 2016 for ZIP *******, my rep guaranteed me a minimum of 44-48 leads over the course of a year. He stated that Realtor.com would prorate and give me a refund for any leads under the minimum. Over the course of the year, I got leads with fake names and duplicate leads. At the end of the year, my account was going to auto-renew. I expressly told the rep I did not want my account to auto renew because I had not gotten the minimum number of leads promised. So the rep stated that he would add a month to the end of my contract period, and delay the auto-renewal until after I had gotten the minimum leads promised. But instead Realtor.com auto-renewed my account anyway!
When I called to complain, they stated that there is nothing they can do to prevent the account from auto-renewing! Also, they said they could see that even after the free month, I had still only gotten 36 of the 44-48 "guaranteed" leads. They said they had changed their policy since I had signed a contract with them in 2016, and that now their new policy is that if they think the number of leads that you got is "close enough", then no refund is given for ANY leads under the minimum promised. So even tho they required that I pay UPFRONT for a minimum of 44-48 leads, they can shaft Realtors because they "changed their policy" since I signed up with them. What a racket!
Agent Michelle fuller of Baltimore md was very unprofessional don't respond to texts doesn't get back to u in a timely manner if u wana make an offer doesn't make the offer
They do not deliver what is promised, and refuse to work with you to correct the problem. Waste of money. Horrible staff. Fake leads. They oversell markets and cannot provide the leads you pay for.
Tyler Carr and his staff at Realtor.com are simply rude, unprofessional and full of FRAUD, they first get you on the phone to sell you supposed "great leads" and don't tell you, that you will be in a contract with them until its too late. They do not have you sign anything and when you ask for a copy of the contract they straight up say... you don't have a contract, then turn around and say it was a verbal contract... UGH SCAMMERS. Then when you call them because there leads are not any good and you would like to cancel, they start to bully you and lie to you and start accusing you of being unprofessional. They tell you they will not cancel your account no matter what. They promise you leads, yet do not provide leads, you call and ask them to cancel then they tell you that one: The leads are probably in your spam box and two: you had a verbal contract with them and you are now in a contract for a year. They continue to bill your account, we even canceled the card on file and they still billed our account telling us, that they have a way to bill through your bank account as a merchant account, even after you change the card. This is a total scam and the most unprofessional form of business we have seen in the Real Estate profession.
I have used realtor.com a million times a day until now! Unfortunaley I just deleted the app. It is worthless. Now I am using Zillow.
Why in the world did you change it?
This is the worst ever... I never leave reviews but this new update is 'SOOO BAD! How can I get the old one back? I am a realtor and I would use the site for my clients as well.
I saw a listing for a home I was seriously considering contacted my agent, got in my car in South Florida, nearing Chattanooga only to receive a call from my agent saying a contract was already on the house even before I saw the listing. MARK PENDING ON SUCH LISTINGS!
This WAS my FAVORITE app - the new version is horrible. In fact, it's useless. Please bring back the old version.
I WANT galleries back! At the very least... UGH.
If they didn't need your money so bad, and if they were such a good company, they wouldn't have to tell you lies to suck you in to their evil scheme. I told them specific zip codes I wanted, and specific ones I did not want. I did this thorough email so it could be tracked. The sales rep told me to call him immediately, that they just added more openings for the area I wanted, so I called him, and I signed up, because the zip codes I asked for are in high demand. I told him I did not want to sign up immediately because I was going out of the country on vacation for a week, so he told me he would set me up and get all my info, but wouldn't start it or charge it until I got back, so just to hold the zip code spot so to speak. When I got back I signed up on my portal, and found out that the zip codes I specifically requested not to get were the only ones I got. I was livid so I called customer service, which they told me I only had 3 days to cancel and since it was past 3 days I had to wait a year. I proceeded to tell him my story of what happened and that this was the day after I got back so technically still in the 3 day period. He basically told me that I was lying to him and told me that I was screwed. I told him I had emails to prove everything and he made this bull$#*! story saying that he would have to read them, but he still couldn't do anything. Don't waste your time. I am now out $500 a month with my only inquiries of fake leads that lead to nothing and people inquiring about mobile homes.

I dealet with a lot of Great agent but no one went out of there a way like Daria.
Promised me 4 leads a month, promised me i would be the only one to get leads on my own listings! All a lie and i have the proof several times over. I have also e-mailed my account manager for the last three weeks and ask him to call me. NO return calls. Then this past week i e-mailed him and asked for a contact for upper level management. It has been 6 days and again nothing! I have proof of everything i just typed. I had my son and wife go on to REALTOR.com and request info on one of my listings and i did get the lead, HOWEVER they also received e-mails & phone calls from other REALTORS about their listings in the general area of my listing. Realtor.com also sent them other homes to preview in the area! THEY ARE LIARS!
I have cancelled my credit card so they can't charge me anymore and i am sure i will have to get my real estate attorney involved before this is all over. This is the 2nd time in the last 10 years that i have tried to do business with them & the last! Run from them if they contact you & if you do any business with them, you had better RECORD the conversation because they will deny they said it! I have been in the business for over 30 years and these guys are the worst LIARS of all!
The manager Tyler and Alex are the worst out there! Tried to get out of contract because I received no leads and was told I couldn't and that the best they could do is drop down to 6months. WOW PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE>
My agent cost me the property!
Let me count the ways:
1- She DID NOT communicate and offered us NO advise. We ARE NOT real estate agents and where clueless as to the best way to navigate the negotiation process.
2- As a buyers agent, she was absent of the ability to go to bat for us and negotiate with the seller in a way that would've made her worth her commission.
3- She was CLUELESS of other offers and failed to inquire leaving us defenseless to counteroffer. REALLY?
4- She called us ONLY if we reached out to her. WTF?
I WILL NEVER USE YOUR SERVICE EVER AGAIN, YOUR COMPANY IS A HORRIBLE EXAMPLE OF REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS. YOU SUCK!
These credit card grabbers use our NAR dues to set up a fraud boiler room. Lies about leads, lies about $ - lies about everything - don't give these fraudsters anything...
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
