I had a really disappointing experience with Redbubble that left a sour taste in my mouth. I opened two accounts—something I thought was fine after a quick check—and linked the same PayPal to both. Turns out, that's a huge no-no in their rulebook. Fair enough, it was an innocent mistake on my part; I wasn't trying to scam anyone or "game the system." I just didn't realize it'd be such a big deal.
What stings is how harshly they handled it. Both accounts got permanently banned, no warning, no chance to fix it. I would've happily deleted one if they'd just asked, but instead, I got a swift rejection on my appeal and a stern "don't ever make another account" notice. It feels like overkill—like they assume everyone's a bad actor and punish you without a second thought. A simple heads-up could've sorted this out so easily.
I get that they have rules for a reason, but the zero-tolerance vibe and lack of flexibility really rubbed me the wrong way. It's a shame because I was excited to create and share stuff on there. Now I'm locked out for good over something that feels so minor. If you're thinking of using Redbubble, I'd say proceed with caution—triple-check their policies, because one slip-up, even an honest one, and you're done for.
We ordered from Redbubble December 10th and they said that it will arrive December 13-18. When we checked the site after those dates had passed, there was no status change. Then we tried to cancel the order and lo and behold, the status states that the item was shipped today. Although UPS and USPS say that the tracking number they provided is legit, both state that they have not yet received the package. As others have stated, there is no straightforward way to contact customer support. We are contacting our credit card company to try to cancel this charge. I believe the 5 star reviews here claiming that they got good or even great customer service are bogus.
I have been using Redbubble since 2021, and it was good back then, very little deducations and if you didnt meet the payment threshold by the end of the year then you would get your earnings, even if it was just $5. However now, over half of your earnings are deducted by account fees and you are no longer able to cashout at the end of the year if you didnt make your payment threshold. Unfortunately, Redbubble is going downhill and is very much not affordable to artists anymore.
Please if you are an artist trying to make money through your art, go to other platforms that don't take so much from you.
I ordered an art print from Redbubble on 10/26. When it arrived, it was blurry, pixelated, and obviously derived from a low resolution source image completely unsuitable for print. I contacted them and submitted photos. Instead of giving me a refund, they gave me a voucher for store credit. OK, fine. I ordered a different print from a different user. At this point I've paid for shipping twice, totaling over $25 just for shipping. The replacement arrives and it's even worse than the first order. It's not only blurry, there are long print lines and scratches. I contact them again, requesting a refund, as there is no way at this point I intend to order any more products from this company, not to mention I would have to pay for shipping a THIRD time. They are uncooperative. I contact paypal and file a dispute. Redbubble doesn't even read my dispute and sends a form email stating that my order was delivered. Yeah, no kidding. That wasn't in question. What I received was two defective products in a row and I want my money back. I escalate it to a claim with PayPal. They send more cut and paste form letters, asking for photos, which I've not only already sent them, I also posted on the paypal dispute. I send them the photos AGAIN. This company would rather do this to a customer over $50-60 and not only damage their brand, but ensure that I tell everyone I know about this bad experience, than reimburse a customer for their OWN POOR PRODUCTS. This company has no quality control and evidently let's anyone upload low resolution images to their site and sell them, but their print on demand partner is also atrocious. This is a predatory company that hijacks your money and thinks they're entitled to hold onto it like an underfed piranha rather than make sure they're providing value so they have repeat business and a positive brand reputation. As of right now I'm waiting on my PayPal claim. Redbubble, you deserve to go out of business.
RedBubble.com is an enemy of independent artists all over the world. Their recent change to a tier structure is literally robbing indie artists of hard-earned cash. How can I sell merchandise, RB take the largest percent of the profit, and then they charge me an additional fee because they've labeled my art a particular way? There are complaints from thoussands of artists who draw their art by hand, only to be labled a freelancer who "spams RedBubble with crappy and derivative art work." Why is it that a young artist with consistent sales cannot reach the "payment threshold" because each time he makes a sale, RB reduces his cut with a fee? Look at the images attached. I've made $38 dollars in August, but I haven't reached the payment threshold because RB has taken $21 off the top as "fees" leaving me with a paltry $17. Keep in mind, they've received a profit from the sale when the sale was first made! This is a money grab, plain and simple. They are literally stealing millions from independent artists every year, by reclassifying their work as "freelancer" and robbing them with a subjective fee. Our only choice is to stop using redbubble and move your accounts to another POD provider. Without the artists, RedBubble couldnt sell $h!t!
The real reason for the tiers is that RB monthly visitors is down. They want YOU, the artist, to bring them more visitors by promoting your work on other social media accounts. The caveat is that even if you bring someone to the platform via a link from Instagram or Facebook, there's not guarantee they will buy YOU art. However, they may buy someone's art and that is money in whose pocket? RedBubble! If they want artists to bring visitors they should pay us for the traffic we bring, right?
I've made some money during the election year. One my payout is made I will be cancelling my account. The only way to affect these big companies is to hit them in their bank accounts. Take your art to Shopify, eBay, Etsy, Printify or any other POD company. Red Bubble and TeePublic changed from a viable resource for artists to a scam and money-grab by corporate CEO's, CFO's and their ilk.
Ordered in advance for a friends birthday. I received an email that the artwork had been prepared and shipped the day after my order. Now, the "track order status" says it was shipped yesterday (11 days later). It will arrive *a week* later than stated, missing the birthday.
Need some honesty about shipping.
I've requested a refund of shipping/handling costs.
Ordered two sets of socks and received both with multiple printing errors. Misspelled words, upside down words, overlapped print, and light printed words you can't read. These are a mess and I absolutely cannot give them as a gift. Paid $20 for each set and there are no refunds apparently, no customer service to speak with, just stuck with these terribly printed socks. So upsetting
REDBUBBLE company is unreliable! You order a product from them and you don't receive it a month after the estimated delivery time! Your money is not refunded! Customer service will not help you... For my husband's birthday, I ordered a t-shirt from an artist through the company's webshop. The package did not arrive, but the customer service again promised a later delivery time... As compensation, they sent another t-shirt, which again did not arrive at the address I had given.
After 20 days, the product never arrived. That's why there's no p"roof of purchase". There's no tracking associated with the shipping, and it's impossible to connect with a real person in customer service. Instead, the customer gets an online run-around where no real person ever responds to written questions. Avoid this company!
I am an illustrator and an artist. I've been using Redbubble since 2018 and I have more than 1K designs uploaded. I never really earned a lot of money but as creative job it was a good side hustle. Last year RB decided to implement a tier system, dividing creators in 3 tiers, with no explanation of the rationale underlying. You can be demoted (and so subjected to fees that are not clearly explained and are extortionate) without a valid reasons, without warning and with no possibilities of appeal. Strangely the accounts demoted are often the high earners, so that RB can take another gabelle on the already meagre margins artists have. Prints quality have also deteriorated, prints tend to wash out much quicker. Pity - I used to love RB for the interface easiness, but their questionable ethics made me regret to have given so much time to create original work for their platform. I have since decided not to upload anymore.
Ordered tshirts that never arrived. Was charged for it. After putting in several complaints they would not refund my money but offered a credit. After trying to unsubscribe —- I still get their emails about buying more product. Still no product.
I love this site because they have pretty much any kind of sticker that you could possibly imagine! I received everything that I ordered, and the stickers were very high quality! I was impressed! The only thing I didn't appreciate, was how slow the standard shipping is(it takes 7 days), although, it's not too bad... If you're looking to get your items in a more timely matter, I would recommend paying extra for the express shipping. Overall, I love my stickers, and I will definitely purchase from Redbubble again! Highly recommend! :)
TERRIBLE! Paid for express shipping well in advance of cutoff date for Christmas delivery. Item was supposed to arrive by 12/21. Checked status on 12/20 and it hasn't even finished being made! I had to dig around the difficult-to-navigate website to find a small banner stating the company has had production problems.
There has been NO communication whatsoever from the company about this problem. Customer service is poor at best. I did manage to wring a refund of the express shipping cost out of them, but now the item (the one my child wanted most for Christmas) will likely arrive after the big day.
Thanks to this experience, I've become a RedBubble first-time-is-the-last-time customer. Well done.
I ordered a few puzzles with photos specific to various locations. Puzzles were approximately $33 before paying almost $20 for USPS shipping. The puzzle piece are thin and they all have the same shape- no variety. There also was no photo to reference when trying to assemble. It's a great concept, but way overpriced for the quality received.
I have spent $$$ at Redbubble, and worked on two stores, and interviewed for a job with them, but I would never shop at Redbubble again after they closed one of my stores without notice or giving any reason, even after I made contact and asked about it. It's absolutely unacceptable. This is the worst customer experience possible, they just destroy your hard work without explanation or notice.
I bought a bunch of T-shirts on Redbubble. They came from different "sellers" however they all had the same thin and low grade fabric. Two of them completely faded within two washings. Very disappointed.
After 2 Months of waiting to receive my package they still dont know what is the problem and they have issued a refund. ( sounds like it was loan and they are paying back the money) I requested to send the package with proper company with express service as an apology or compensation but they just say sorry and what we can do is refund your money. Is this professional? Redbubble operating couple of years now and they still cant solve such a problem in a professional way! Its was my mistake to order from this site before reading any reviews. So Disappointed
I was waiting for one month for my order. After one month I contacted the support and they offered me a replacement with the same amount and they told me I have to wait for 21 business days more to get my package. And Im waiting now and not sure if i will get it! Feel so upset :(
We ordered four smartphone bumpers, estimated arrival Jan 13-15. On Jan 14 I get a message that they just got sent off, estimated arrival still Jan 13-15: hmm, let's see.
Of course it only arrives on Jan 22. And only one of the four hulls arrived. What's with the rest?!? I contact customer service and they "don't know". They do "generously" offer to reorder the remaining three for me, great. But not even with express or tracked shipping!
Now we're still waiting for the remaining three bumpers, four weeks after having ordered them...
I spend too much time browsing and too much money buying. Overall I've been very happy. The selection is almost overwhelming. I bought two postcards where the image was too big to fit on the paper. Had I looked closer, I would have seen it was like that in the image online. I wish the stickers were available in sizes smaller than 4". Otherwise, I'm thrilled. Keep making magic!
Something is odd about these customer service reviews because I kept going back and forth trying to find a contact email address or phone number and got nothing. The order is past it's due date and I am not even sure if I am ever going to receive it! How do you contact this company?
Answer: They seem fake to me. I received such horrible service that its hard to believe this is the same Redbubble. Maybe they improved alot since OR maybe they are paying their own marketing people to post fake positive reviews. We will never know. I would say its not worth the risk. Go with another seller.
Answer: They're your typical plastic case. My sister has a case and it's lasted her s good year
