Remotasks has a rating of 1.1 stars from 49 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Remotasks ranks 389th among Work At Home sites.
I keep seeing posts that describe Remotasks as a company that doesn't give support, as well as saying that they cut you lose with no warning. I've also noticed that every negative post about them has major grammatical errors, such as run-on sentences, poor punctuation, and formatting. I do not possess a degree in anything, much less english lit. But I seem to maintain a 5/5 quality score. And I'm on two projects at one time with endless tasks it seems. I got promoted to elite tasks today, it comes with a chance to be promoted to reviewer. Ive made over $500.00 in 3 days on tasks. This does not including bonuses. My pending payment says $641.31
Remotasks will continuously make you do unpaid training without assigning you to a project. They are using the writing you provide for free human reinforcement learning.

The TSMs and admins on the Slack channels are zero help. They're all stuck up and act like they can't do their jobs and help you. They'll remove you from projects without explanation and just don't actually care about the people they work with. If you're looking for stable income, better to pursue a job that actually has reliable support and not those people.
I felt the lack of security of the work process throughout the whole onboarding journey. There is a little explanation of who exactly you work for, who is paying, what kind of invoicing it will be, there are no job agreements involved, basically I did not have a feeling the pay is legitimate and that I will ever actually get paid fairly. The job itself sounded interesting. The contact with the the team leader and the manner of communication was highly unprofessional. In a video meeting the person didn't even show their face (what is there to hide?) and in the chat the manner of communication is too informal and unprofessional. The team leader shared a massive amount of files without even asking us, the onboarders, to sign a disclosure agreement (another red flag). This has never happened before while working with reputable companies. Remotasks also asks to show your ID (basically takes pictures of your ID front and back) without stating any reason to do so (it is not necessary to supply ID if there is not even an agreement involved). Basically it felt like a data extraction is the real crime by this company and they make a huge effort to look like its something else they are doing. According to the local government issued statement people are advised to NEVER provide their ID to a third party without knowing where this information ends up. Likely, these details will be sold further for illegal use in the third world countries. I do not recommend to collaborate with this company.
I signed up and was immediately approved, however, they said I failed my English Exam, which was quite surprising. I tried reaching out to the emails that were provided and I never received a single response. Support response is a bot response. Not impressed at all!

I spent a weekend going through the training on starting on their Claims tasking. I'm an electrical engineer and MBA with 30 years experience. This was the worst written interface to get productivity you could possibly create. It's as if they created the interface to intentionally not get results? Makes no sense. I don't recommend them for anyone trying to do a side gig. They have 0 support. I could have had a high school freshman write the interface they've created. Just a big waste of time.
I completed about 12 writing assignments for their initial assessment. These were complex writing tasks and required many hours to complete. As soon as I submitted all the work, I received an email within 10 minutes stating that my work was unacceptable. There is no way possible that a live human could read and evaluate all 12 writing assignments in that short time. I am a certified secondary English teacher and hold advanced degrees. I have written professionally for years. I do not recommend Remote Tasks to anyone.

I had high quality scores and completely met the requirements listed for an incentive period in October. After not being paid, I inquired with their customer service platform. I was drug along for almost 2 months with no resolution. Ironically, the more questions I asked about the platform and missing payments I began to be "removed" from projects, even though my quality ratings remained a 5/5. After asking one more time about payment, I was told I did not meet the quality standards for the incentive. Odd since my rating remains the highest rating of all.
I have got just deception of it, and waste of time almost forget it, don't try it, it's a dirty scam, didn't get any money of it, I have complete onboarding and passed several exams but the queue is always empty for any reason, now I now why it has those reviews, it really sucks.
Tip for consumers:
don't use this dirty scammer site

They always wait you to work for them then on Wednesday (the day they pay)they suspend your account. They will wait you work for them then on pay day close your account. Don't work for these people. They are day light robbers.
Tip for consumers:
They closed my account with $1670. I opened another using my friend's details they also closed on payday with $1200. They are robbers. They don't want to pay taskers.
I have worked with this company for a few weeks, and for a while, it was fine. I worked a full-time job while working with them part-time. I made about $70 before they cut half of the team I was apart of without warning. I asked multiple people that were considered higher-ups for more details as of why, but never received a straightforward answer.
I have also finished two assessments for extra work, one only paying cents, the other was never acknowledged. They were advertising $50 for that particular assessment, but I was given nothing for completing and passing it. Instead, I was given another assessment to do. They are just wasting people's time and should be avoided at all costs. Please, do not waste your time.
I took the tests and was added as a writer and only then did I google them. Based on lots of awful reviews I decided not to work with them. I have asked them seven times over three weeks to remove me from their files. I still keep getting Team emails and Slack conversation bits. The emails and Slack conversations are all about things not working as they are supposed to. Jeez! Beware these guys!
There's just not enough tasks to go around. They tell you you can make $1000 week but I only made about $40. The support is also nonexistent. If something goes wrong with your account (if you get locked out and can't sign back in or you're having issues receiving payments), the chances of you ever hearing back from a Support representative are slim to none. I would keep doing tasks on this site if the support team wasn't so unprofessional but I'm sure there are better opportunities elsewhere!
This is such a frustrating experience. Everything evolves around support tickets, which NEVER, EVER get addressed or resolved. It's a circle of incompetency and a total waste of energy. The so-called zen support help is non-existent. They acknowledge your request and this is all that ever happens. So inefficient, so bottle-necked it is not worth the aggravation!
They will try to get as much free work off you as they "evaluate" you then just kick you off the platform. You can score the highest possible and it will not be enough. STAY AWAY. Don't give them free work.
I knew it sounded too good to be true. But I signed up and did work for them anyway. Unfortunately, my gut was was right. This company promised to pay me $50 after I complete the screening assessment. But they didn't fulfil their end of the bargain. They basically waisted my time. I'm pissed!

Seemed legit at first when you sign up and start to "task". They'll even pay you like they said they would according to their website...when you earn less than $100. The minute you start to task a lot and earn your "bonus", they'll "ban" your account for no reason and you won't be allowed to log back in. They won't even pay you for what is still owed to you for your work. So, work for this company if you want/like to just make a little bit of gas money for the week (if your tank takes less than $100, that is). But some advice, don't work too much or too hard, because you won't be compensated for it. Reaching out to support does nothing. They'll tell you to create a ticket, which then doesn't get answered, but will just be marked "solved". So all in all, just skip trying them. Not worth your time. Especially just getting $.01-$.04 per task.
Site seemed promising upon signup, but a few weeks in and everything went to hell. Bonuses were promised, but not delivered. They even stopped paying for work that was done. You get no responses from admins other than they don't know and have you spoken to another admin about your problem. Most people sit there all day with empty queues. I recommend going for another company if you want some side gig work. This company treats the workers like crap.
Site claims to offer you paid for project online work and train you in UX user AI chat bot reviewer. However, it is a SCAM. The sit makes you sign in with your google account ( already suspect) as this is a means for anyone to take your personal information and they offer no other way to establish an account, hmmm. Second they make you go through bogus trainings which are often 1 - hours for supposed assignments - they email you that you pass the training but you never get a real assignment. They send bogus links to your email that state you are being onboarded for the assignment but the link is only a link to google suite with no projects, real on-boarding process - you would have to at least file W9 and a bogus Paypal link that most likely is stealing your information. Stay away! If you have been a victim report to Cyber Crimes with your state department of justice.
This site has outdated instructions and no way to get the training they say you need as you get a 404 error on almost every page. There is no way to do the onboarding training they say you need, the email addresses given are invalid, and a bot answers everything. Not a human. They seem aware of all the bugs, but do nothing to fix them so don't waste your time.
You can make decent money if your not sitting in EQ all the time. Bonuses are like pulling teeth to get them laid out people have been waiting for weeks to get them. Then there is the pay issues you may get paid on time but it's never the correct amount. If TSMs do acknowledge you they skirt around your question and majority of the time they will either lie to you or ignore you. They tell you there are more tasks gonna be loaded that night and nothing. If you bring up theses issues your threaded with being disabled off the project. Your not even allowed to DM a tsm unless they tell you that you can. Their favorite saying is that its gig work. Well not for them they get paid whether people are tasking or not
Tip for consumers:
Stay far far away from them
Don't start.
I did it for a year.
I learned the highest level tasks (Lidar) and got to the highest level (SR), full time.
Still, I made $ 250 a year.
That averages $ 20 a month!
Don't expect more from them.
Tip for consumers:
Don't work for them, your time is worth more.
Not competent. They avertist need for educated Americans to help with A.I. But onboarding is ridiculous and when you have issues they direct you to nonexistent information and run you in circles. I haven't figured out a scam- may just not know what they are doing. They have a slack set up for workers- not many there and most are asking why they can't get answers and why everything doesn't work.

I have been trying for over a year to get access. I get emails offering tasks, but whenever I try to go on the site I get a message that says "thank you for signing up...please wait 24 to 48 hours... blah blag. A year is a really long 48 hours dont you think. It's a scam and I wont change my review.
I worked in remotasks since 2018, at first they were soo good, paying up to $50 per task, I don't know what happened in 2020 but they change to a Ponzi scheme, they close your account once they see a consistency of high earnings. Too fake and scamish.

My experience with Remotasks is not a very good one, the main problem is I feel they are not honest with the taskers, giving us a complete runaround. Allowing us to think we are not doing something correctly when in reality we don't have enough tasks, then why not just be honest instead, they waste your time for like $20 a week, which is hardly worth it considering the anguish you go through, to begin with, by taking their vigorous assessment test. I can't attach any photos or videos because I agreed to keep their stuff private, and unlike them, I keep my word, my advice is unless you enjoy being jerked around, I wouldn't waste your time. It's poorly run by a bunch that is all on different pages I know it's still fairly new, but come on, get it together, Remotask.
Tip for consumers:
If they put you on The Bulba project but you only have one email then most likely you won't be able to do tasks so count on very little pocket change from this gig.
